Sick from black mold at equinox! Equinox downtown LA has black mold in the AC vents, and they blast the AC all day long! Air filled with spores. Mainly i feel bad for the employees who breath it all day, but black mold spores are highly neurotoxic and cause life long health problems! even when breathed in occasionally. super crazy for a place where you go to be healthy! membership canceled, i’m chronically ill and i can’t believe the gym that i go to rehab my body in is actually making me sick.

I love this Equinox location so much! The interior design is gorgeous and it’s nice and secluded. The morning classes are never packed so it’s nice to have a lot of space to workout in peace. The trainers here are also super friendly and are always willing to help you with personalized suggestions. Overall, of all the Equinox locations that I’ve tried, I like this one the best. The only complaint I have is that the parking structure is a little crazy.. it’s so hard to find the entrance and when you’re in the structure, it feels like a maze.

This equinox DTLA is relatively smaller than other locations but the interior design is modern, clean & gorgeous. The cleaning staff is amazing at keeping the club & bathroom clean and dry. I hate wet dirty floors lol the men’s bathroom is clean & dry so I am thankful. Many good classes & instructors! I had good experiences taking the classes, because the instructors are professional and friendly. Overall, I enjoy this location!

The parking at this location is so hard to find. I accidentally went into the gate right next to it and was charged $4 instantly. Equinox should at least put a sign on the entrance to let people know about this!

I wouldn’t rely on the common courtesy of some of the front desk or sales staff. They are unhelpful, rude, and non-accommodating. Highly disappointed in how Spencer treated my guest after 3 years of coming to the DTLA club. I had always heard stories about rude Equinox staff who go on power trips or whose egos are in over drive, but had never encountered them before myself until today. I think some humility or courtesy workshops could be helpful in fostering better customer service at this location. Never experienced this at the signature club or the Newport location. They treat their customers with the professionalism and respect of the highest order.

Free gym for USC students, has a lot of decent facilities and water stations with great water quality. But it’s just too crowded all day long, kind of annoying to walk around for minutes just to find an empty spot you want.

Solid gym. Has everything you need in regards to equipment

Pretty good gym, besides regular equipments, there are also table tennis table on 2nd floor and a swimming pool with shower room.

This has been my main gym for the last 6 months, all during COVID. They have a reservation system that prevents it from getting overcrowded at any one time, which I actually hope lasts past the pandemic. Solid weight room with everything you need. No complaints worth mentioning. 4.5 stars rounds up to 5. Edit: The reservation system is now gone, along with mask requirements. It's been a little busier during peak times, but nothing terrible.

A great resource for USC community to stay fit part from the village fitness center. You have to reserve the time slot in advance. Basketball court is now closed. However Racquetball courts are open for reservation. The facility gets busy in the mornings. It also has swimming pools. Its clean and has locker facilities as well.

Not enough water fountains for a physical education building, and too many cockroaches. The handicap entrance leads to the basement, but it's impossible for a wheelchair to get to the sub-basement (where group exercise rooms are used for various activities). There's allegedly an elevator to take you from the basement to the first and second floors, but it--like the rest of the building--looks like it hasn't been serviced in decades. Some brave souls have taken the elevator and emerged unscathed, but they never want to take it again...

Do you like games? Have you played the memory match game? Well then you'll love it here. Try finding the other pair of weights to match the one you are looking for at this gym. This place might of have gotten a remodel, but either or- this YMCA's staff are lazy to clean up the night before ( I was here at 11am- highly doubt someone came early in the morning to make this mess) or I am ashamed of my hispanic community for being this dirty and unorganized and even less-- mindful of others. Either which way, I came here because I was in the area, but sure sucks for who ever comes to this gym because I'll take my self elsewhere.

This gym is not sport club la nor prime time. In the same line with 24 hour fitness gym, club one etc. For $50 per month, it gives great value and plus they validate parking which is very rare in the city. Another plus is that they are fairly brand new with nice steam room and sauna. The bathrooms are clean. I like it. I think I'm signing up!

This place needs new management all mens restrooms were closed not working then the fans are absolutely disgusting clearly not cleaned. Sticking to the one in Torrance.

If You Have Kids, This is NOT the right Gym for your kids. Besides this Gym being dirty and lack of AC in some rooms and the lockers smelling like urine and hairs on the floor; this Gym definitely does not treat family Gym members equally and fairly when it comes to the usage of the exercising facility. My 11 year old kid wanted to exercise along with me in the cycling and treadmill room, but the staff refused my kid's entry because he was under 13, but then the staff said that if I paid $20 extra aside from what we're already paying for "our membership", my kid would have access along with one of their staff no matter the age. Because even seen 5 and 8 year old kids in the cycling bikes as we walked by. I work hard for my money and pay my monthly membership for my kids and myself, and for what? for my kids to not be able to exercise and make a positive healthy use of the money we're paying for this expensive membership! when all they have is access to the babysitting room and the pool. In that case might as well stay home right? The staff at the Wilmington Y are thief's, because I know the one in San Pedro has access to the exercise facility for the kids included with their membership as it states in its contract and as it should be. P.S . WORST FACILITY AND CONS AT THAT!

I tried a few gyms and stuff before and I’ve been coming to OT since October and it’s been my favorite ever since. The staff is so kind and welcoming even at 5am and the members are the same and everyone is so supportive of each other whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been there for a while. Everyday the workouts are different and they even have monthly challenges that are so fun to be part of. I look forward to going everyday and have never felt better physically and it has helped my mental health so so much. I owe so much to this place and if you’re thinking about trying it out please do it. I PROMISE you won’t regret it.

I have been a 24 hour fitness member for over 10 years and of all the gyms I have ever been to, this has got to be the most disgusting and embarrassing 24 I have ever had the displeasure of going to. This gym is located right behind Aldi and has the entrance inside the parking lot. On the first floor you'll find the indoor swimming pool with sauna and steam room and everything else is on the second floor. There are 4 total squat racks, a basketball court, and a medley of cardio and strength machines. The smell in here is so musty and the equipment just never seems to be re-racked. I also just feel like the general crowd here doesnt know how to wear proper gym apparel. On several visits, people would just straight up work out in crocs and pajamas which makes me feel like people don't take themselves seriously here and it ruins the atmosphere. I have several gripes here but for the most part, they are: - old machines - dirty gym area - extremely dirty bathrooms - no filtered water machines? I mean cmon it's 2025. How are you getting away with just these disgusting tap water fountains... I was so irritated with this location that I avoided it for 3 months. I came back to finally finish out my time here, ended up opening an account with Gold's gym, and will never look back. I believe this location is considered a Sport level but honestly... with how janky it is (just like the Sherman Oaks area) I can't say that this is a 24 location I'll ever recommend to anyone. (5/50--2025)

Not enough of the most used dumbells or even plates. Weights are scattered around the gym, and rarely racked the right way. Management usually hides away downstairs and does not hold the gym to a high standard. The employees might not care as evidenced by most just hanging out at the front desk. However the example should be led by Management. Wet area is dirty and the restrooms can be horrendous at times. I've been to other 24s and I've seen a higher standard. Come on, you've gotta do better.

The worst customer service and worst staff of any gym or spa I’ve ever been to. I tried to come in for the three day free pass, but as soon as I said that’s what I was doing the staff was just looking for a reason to not let me in. First because my address on my ID is old, they tried to tell me I had to go to North Hollywood then when they saw that I used to be a member even though it was like four years ago, they told me that the three day cost $25!! Isn’t a monthly $40!? I can’t stand these places and the staff are always idiots. Now I remember why I canceled my membership in the first place. This place and these people are trash.

I pay for membership like normal. If I had to avoid any gym part of my plan. It’s this one. There’s no such thing as a guest pass to these guys. So what they do is try to get you to pay them $25 per head to use the guest pass when it is free per the website. If you need a gym to workout without your buddies, go for it. Otherwise this gym sucks.

Pros: - Plenty of parking - Good front desk staff [all the staff at this gym are really nice ] - Location is good - Good selection of machines even though some of them are in very bad shape. Cons: - Dirtiest gym in the valley , every time I have drunk water from this gym , I have gotten a tummy ache, every area of this gym is dirty. - Management quick to comment but they never actually make any improvements on the basics - Poorly lit basketball court - Worst opening / closing hours of any gym around , I wish they used the hours it’s closed to actually clean it , you can’t open the gym late , close early and don’t use that time to clean it .

I've been a 24 hour fitness member for over 10 years but wanted a change of scenery because the one in Northridge is abysmal. This gym is just conveniently located across the street and far exceeded my expectations. I've been to several gyms throughout SoCal, Vegas, and Phoenix, and found that this was definitely comparable to the nicer gyms I have been to. There are 6 squat racks on the right side of the gym but it's interesting because the barbells are by Escape, but they have a hammer strength rack, and American fitness plates. Lol. There are also 8 more squat racks in the back of the gym!!! So... there is plenty of equipment. They have a variety of machines here owned by booty builder which I had never heard of before but easily got the hang of once I finally located the instructions per machine. I had never in my life done a standing hip abductor but it seemed fun and definitely felt more helpful than the seated ones. They have one seated hip thrust that's so difficult to work with and 2 standing hip thrust machines that... don't really seem helpful, but they're there. For the rest of the gym, a couple things I also liked: - spa recovery room with 4 massage chairs and TVs - separate fitness room for platinum members - TRX section and turf area - boxing area with punching bags - very clean bathrooms with steam and sauna rooms already inside (so they're same sex if that matters to you) - self-running Assault treadmills (my fave treadmills) - ski machines - filtered water stations Now even though I visited around 4 PM on a Sunday, I imagine it was pretty busy because it's January so people are kickstarting their fitness regimen. Only time will tell how it holds up during peak hours but so far, I have no complaints and look forward to my future visits here. (4/50--2025)

Very impressive entrance:) the gym is basically underground. big shared parking lot with other stores, very convenient. Equipment is kind of old and arranged too closely, but some of the old school chest, should press and hack squat machines are amazing, plus a unique sited abs/oblique workout machine which is really great, the dips machine angle and grip is awesome too, people leave a lot of dirty paper towels in between the machines, I didn’t see anyone carrying a towel and some guys and ladies live a disgusting sweet trace on the workout machines they sit … I think management should ask them to bring their own towels, saw a guy smoking a e cigarette or whatever they call it told one of the staff members he was looking right at him and was king of hesitant to do something … so second time I called him he looked like he went “talk to the member” anyway I know it’s close to CSUN and membership is kind of low and lot of school kids are roaming around , but they should be more disciplined, this sport is all about discipline, safety and health, we just barely recovered from a pandemic … we should expect more from young especially “educated” generation, p.s add some more trash bins. Hopefully we see some progress soon, keep things safe and clean!🙏🏻

They’re certain times of the day when the gym gets too packed or not so busy at all. Getting over there in the morning is the best time before the rush comes. Free weights, machines, the turf (one of my favorites to warm up at), a sauna, and they provide you protein shakes and water. For you protein intake and hydration. They have everything you need from beginner to advance exercises. I have worked out at Gym’s Gold before and I never had any bad experience in the past. This gym here has got everything you need to push your limits. Thank you Gold’s Gym and keep up with the hard work!

I’ve been a member of Hardcore Fitness for two years, and it’s been a game-changer! Although I’ve always worked out, I didn’t see real results until I started training here. The support from both the staff and fellow members is incredible, making it feel like more than just a gym—it’s a community. I joined because of their variety of programs, like Fight Camps, Bootcamps, and Booty Camp, along with many other amenities. Hardcore Fitness isn’t your typical gym; it’s a family. I’m so grateful to be part of this amazing team and to work with such professional trainers. Highly recommend it!

Hardcore Fitness at Northridge is absolutely the best gym I have ever been to. I have gone to other gyms before and it never felt right. The first day I walked into this gym I felt right at home!! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and given a little introduction to the gym. The trainers and staff are so supportive and amazing. They make an effort to know and interact with the members. I love how approachable they are!! If you are having trouble with a work out they give you modification until you work your way up to the work out. Tori is an amazing owner. She is so sweet and tough lol She motivates you and holds you accountable. She is truly a cheerleader for everyone who attends the gym. I used to hate the gym now I look forward to going. It is an amazing community to be a part of. The members are amazing too. There is a sense of mutual motivation for each other. This gym is a place you have to experience to understand and feel what the positive reviews say. I know everyone who leaves a positive review truly means it.

I am about to complete my 6th month here at HC Northridge and I can honestly say that it has been the best investment I could have made this year. The way the classes are designed allow someone with all levels of gym experience to participate. I find myself highly motivated to continue to push my strengths. I feel a sense of commodity, encouragement and accountability within this special gym. I highly recommend joining this gym to anyone who is ready to put their health and future as a priority.

By Far the GREATEST DECISION I’VE EVER MADE! I have been at Hardcore since the beginning and it feels like home! From the moment you meet Tori and Dawn you know you’re home! They are so welcoming and helpful! I’ll never forget how intimidated I was my first class, but they made it an easy fit! Then you create bonds with classmates that last forever. Lastly for one of my favorite humans in the world Sam, say hi and let him take it from there! 😀 P.S. Trainers are great too, especially Alexis, home girl can train!

Hardcore Fitness is the best! The trainers are all so kind and motivating. I had never felt so welcome in a gym. I love the circuit training aspect and enjoy the morning classes the most. After joining the 60 day challenge and seeing the amazing results I was convinced to join. I have been going here for almost 2 years now and continue to see results for the better. The group of like minded people that I have been so grateful to meet here have helped this new lifestyle change so fun! Forever thankful for the change I decided to make 🙏🏽 Looking through pictures of myself 2 years ago and wow!! It's amazing how strong and healthy I have became since I joined this gym 🏋🏾‍♀️ I get FOMO anytime I can't make it to class because I know how good the workouts can be. Looking forward to how much more I can push myself to keep reaching my fitness goals 💪🏾 Super thankful for HCFN!!

I am extremely disappointed with LA Fitness. I signed my 15 year old son up on a paid in full membership and I was told that if I cancel, I will receive a prorated refund. When my son went to cancel a couple weeks ago, they told him there is no refund and his membership would just not renew. My son is the one who emailed them to cancel since it is his account but he CC’ed me and told them I was CC’ed since he is underage and it is my credit card. Instead of replying back with me on the email, the manager Gatsby decided to email my son back and ask if he would prefer to freeze the account instead for an extra charge. He was trying to save the membership by getting an underage child to agree to paying for a fee that he is not allowed to authorize. When I brought it to the attention of corporate, they did not seem to care. At this point I was demanding that I receive a refund. I told them I can provide relocation proof or a doctor’s note depending on what they need for proof to get a refund. I have worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years and I know how it works. They owe me a refund and they owe me an apology for having a manager try to swindle an underage kid just to save a membership. Do better LA Fitness.

I go regularly to the LA Fitness close to my house. Just a thought they should put up signage that says put your cell phone away on the machines that there are only one each. I see too many people looking at their phones and not using the machine that they are sitting on. I know there is a 30 minute limit on the machines but these people just sit and look at their phones. Something needs to be done about this. I come to work out not wait around to wait for an open machine.

They will hold your driver license when you get a 3 day pass to force you to talk to them. Then they will keep contacting you to make you join. I wouldn’t do it if you can afford a better gym or just make one at home. I go to equinox so it’s expensive but the service is better. If your just trying to work out go with them and if your paying for better service to work out then it’s better just to spend the money

They allow homeless people in to take showers and use steam room as long as they have memberships and people with dogs inside as long as they are emotional support dog.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a year already, at the beginning I thought I was just new in the workout community, but then throughout the time I’ve been coming. The community at this gym is very toxic and very disrespectful to other members. If you are planning on getting a gym membership you’re better asking a for a week trial so you can see if that’s the type of environment you are looking for. Try different gyms first. Also this gym is so disorganized they need this on the photo I attached to this review

Came in to get a workout in and what a booming planet fitness. It is busy however the people move quickly as well. I did not see one broken piece of equipment. Although I was not able to find the resistance bands. I will say in the men’s locker room everything was clean the only thing is the water takes quite some time to get warm. Overall friendly staff super welcoming and a great experience!!! Thanks for having me The Traveling Truck Show

I recently joined PF, and my overall impression is amazing. The gym is clean, and the atmosphere is friendly. I also love how the workout areas are decorated with vibrant colors - it’s both motivating and pleasant to be in. This particular location also stands out among the ones I’ve been to so far.

Manager escorted me out because I’m a guest and was rude about it canceling my membership. Never got a warning and was accused of lying that they did warn me. I’m a chill dude but that was not cool of him.

Just like other branches of planet fitness gyms, this one is very clean all the time. That’s what attracted me to this brand. But more importantly, this branch is open 24 hours/7 days a week. That’s very nice when you’re working odd hours. The parking lot is small though.

I've attended several major gyms in California. I must say without a doubt that planet fitness is the best. Several factors make it so: The place is impeccably kept clean. Secondly, the staff is extremely friendly and warm. Lastly, there is no competition amongst those working out. I truly love the ethos of the gym. What a place.more fun than Disney land!!!

DDB did a wonderful job! Evelyn, did an amazing job with the dance for my daughter. She was very attentive and listened to my daughter's concerns. She was there every step of the way. I don't know what we would've done without her. I will definitely be referring her to my friends and family. At the end, my daughter's waltz was flawless.

Evelyn is a great dance instructor. She coordinated my daughters 15th dance along with her court. It was perfect because we all met at her studio to practice & I felt that everyone took it so serious & would not miss practices. She is so professional & friendly.

As a dance coordinator, Evelyn goes above and beyond. She is flexible with her time and appointments. She is knowledgeable in her genre and makes you comfortable in your set skilll. As a parent I learned and shined at my daughters Sweet 16! And my daughter wasn’t half bad , just kidding! She was the Belle of her ball!! Thank you Evelyn! See you on our weekly dance classes!!

I can't help but express my utmost gratitude to Evelyn. She was the dance choreographer and instructor who crafted an extraordinary experience for our quinceañera waltz. Her warm and friendly demeanor put everyone at ease, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere. The court consisted of girls of varying ages. No matter the age or skill level, she treated each girl with the utmost respect and understanding, recognizing that everyone learns at their own pace. Her demonstrations were clear and inspiring, and she effortlessly broke down complex moves into manageable parts, making it a breeze for the girls to grasp. I cannot recommend Diaz De Baile and Evelyn enough. If you're seeking a dance choreography for your quinceañera, look no further; this remarkable instructor is the one you've been searching for!
