Rahmlee, Erin, and Max are fantastic! The staff here are always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and creates a great environment for any fitness goal. Highly recommend!

Staff takes very good care of people. Equipment is nice. Rahm took really good care of me, with getting me accustomed and showing me around and acquainted with the gym. I keep coming back for a reason.

Staff is good, but can't expect them to deal with the absolute Fuk'ery I've been seeing. Wanna know why the machines have rips on the seats, guys wearing jeans! JEANS! The buttons make rips, if that's not enough seen plenty of old dudes take their shoes off and just go for it in their socks. Loud groups of teens are common, and will take up anything for 15-20min doing little, or nothing but posing in in front of each other and checking out the women. Soo, it's not very woman friendly right there. Every class leaves the doors open blasting their own music, I guess because the AC doesn't work in each of the 2 class rooms. The place is always hot. Like 82*F hot, so while you can put clothes on, you can't take off to a certain point, and there is little or no airflow. That's why hardly no one uses the cardio. Bathrooms are ok, but pretty humid so you don't wanna spend more time than you need to while in there. If shower diff. Use shower shoes. I blame corporate and their ideas. Parking is in the parking garage, and you get 2hrs free (from the time getting the ticket), and they have a ticket scanner thingy...so that's cool. Building does not have solar, so smart move from the building owner. This location could have absolutely had the 2nd floor continue across the space instead of 40ft ceilings. So, that's a loss of a ton of machines. I feel like the staff, and good people who just wanna get in and get out and not be loud and annoying, or a negative, deserve better, but LA gyms are just the worst and they know you are not going to drive more than 20min to another one.

**Review of LA Fitness** I had a disappointing experience at LA Fitness that left me frustrated and upset. While working out in the training area, one of the trainers rudely asked me to leave because he wanted the entire space to himself right after i asked him politelyjust to have 2 staps to the left. This behavior was completely unprofessional and unreasonable. I have shoulders ligaments problem and I can't use the weights in the facility so I have working out on a small yoga mate for more then 3 month now never seen a trainer there this is the 1st time. To make matters worse, when I tried to address the issue with the staff, Rahm and Eran were not helpful at all. Instead of resolving the situation, their dismissive attitude only made things worse, leading me to cancel my membership. As a paying member, I expected to be treated with respect, but that was clearly not the case. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I can't recommend this gym to others. I hope LA Fitness takes these issues seriously and improves their customer service, but until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. On top of it Rahm didn't want to provide the trainer name at all with very bed attitude

I am beyond frustrated with LA Fitness and their inability to handle a simple membership cancellation. For the past few months, I have been trying to cancel my daughter's membership, yet they continue to charge me without any resolution in sight. The cancellation process has been an absolute nightmare. Despite multiple phone calls, emails, and even visiting the club in person, I am still being charged for a membership we no longer use or want. Every time I contact customer service, I am given different instructions, told to fill out various forms, and promised that the issue will be resolved. Yet, here we are, months later, and my credit card statements show that the charges keep coming. It is incredibly disappointing and feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of young teenage girls. I understand that businesses need to make money, but this level of incompetence and disregard for customer service is unacceptable. LA Fitness, you need to do better. No one should have to go through this much hassle just to cancel a membership. I strongly advise anyone considering a membership here to think twice. If you value your time and money, look elsewhere. The experience has been nothing short of a headache, and I am still left dealing with the consequences of their poor management.

I have been going to this facility for a month now and can say that it's one of the nicer gyms I've been to. It's kept up very well in regards to cleanliness and upkeep. The gym itself, while small, has all you could need in regards to cardio and weight lifting. I cannot speak for how busy it gets as I am one of the few nocturnal users(this gym is 24 hours w/ a key fob access) but I truly believe this is a good gym.

Scot the owner is a real professional and super friendly man. Love this guy and his gym! The gym has everything you need when it comes to weights, machine's and some of which are very rare to find at any gym! I love that some specific equipments at Mendy's are very therapeutic for heavy lifters and anyone that has experienced injuries (which you won't find at commercial gyms). And the cage area for boxing and MMA is the perfect combo for lifting and cardio training! I highly respect this gym and Scot for everything he's done to create a great environment for sports athletes, bodybuilders, powerlifters, etc. Definitely worth the investment!

So I've been to other gyms and they just give you a membership and they throw you to the wolfs ..... What I love about Mendy's Gym is that it's a family environment! He knows all his members by name and has personal relationships with each and every one of them....... And Scott ..... With all the accolades and championships that he has is one of the most humbled person I've met..... One experience I'd like to share is one day I got to the gym was working out and I normally work out with headphones because I listen to a certain artist , and Scott asked me what was I listening to then I told him and then he put the artist on the Bluetooth so I can hear it throughout the gym that day ........ Very good place and I love it there! Can't wait to see you guys there!

If you ever wondered what it was like to work out back in the 70’s come here most of the people that work out here have been doing so since the 70’s as well. Has serious retro vibes not that it’s a bad thing. I didn’t actually work out here because it was too old but a good reminder to appreciate the other gyms.

Been going here for years. It's fine. It's close to home. But, like, when I first signed up they said they were planning a major overhaul/upgrade. Still waiting for that. The treadmills are old and half-broken. A few new machines have been added, but it really needs a facelift.

Yes, the gym is tiny and the parking sucks. That said, it’s still infinitely better than the cattle-car/sardine-can LA Fitness on Laurel Canyon and Oxnard. I can at least get a full workout here and there’s no one making Tik-Tok videos on the gym floor or in the locker room.

I once reserved a portion of the space to train their on their online calendar but never came back. This was a while back but I was so traumatized I still think about it to this day! So here is my review: I reserved the space for the first time and followed all instructions on their website: where to park to not disturb neighbors, how to enter, etc. I showed up 5 minutes early and went inside. There was Jeri sitting on the floor with a kid on an iPad. Immediately she starts yelling at me to get the hell out in the most aggressive way imaginable; tells me the door was shut and what in the world am I thinking just barging in? (Um — I was thinking I reserved and paid for the space, and assumed it was ok to come in?) She talked me down and treated me in a way that was truly not ok — not the way you talk to another human, especially one giving you business. Then when she’s “ready” for me to come in, instead of opening the door and telling me it’s ok to come in, she literally BANGS on the door from the INSIDE without saying a word. When I say bangs on the door, I am not even exaggerating — it was scary. It felt like she was trying to teach me a “lesson” on how to knock on a door. Truly one of the strangest and most uncomfortable experiences of my life. It was so off-putting I think I stayed for a little while and left. Might need therapy (and Jeri too).

I have to admit that the location of this gym can be a bit challenging. The surrounding area does have a rough edge, which might deter some people from wanting to visit, and the cleanliness outside could definitely use some improvement. However, I believe that if everyone made an effort to clean up after themselves, the environment would feel much more welcoming. That said, it’s a bit farther from my usual spot in Burbank. However, I was pleasantly surprised during my visit at off-peak times! The atmosphere is fantastic; I had access to all the machines without any wait, and everyone was friendly and respectful, leaving the space tidy. While I can imagine that peak hours might be challenging given the gym's smaller size, my experience on a Saturday was quite enjoyable. If you can visit during quieter times, this gym is a hidden gem, despite its surroundings!

WowI don't even know where to start. But here goes 😆 - Rude smart ass man child in front desk -Most dirty bathroom I have ever seen in a gym nationwide. Worst then a ghetto prison. -blackness over bathroom floors -trash every where -disgusting showers -prison friendly no walls everyone 2 feet away butt naked staring at one other. (Don't drop the soap ) -very old gym equipment -dirty gym floors -no filter water provided just tap water. (What is this 1980???) -even found a crackhead syringe on floor Moral of the story, if you care about your hygiene in any way and your health and positive vibes stay away from this location, I hope it shuts down immediately or makeover. It definitely gives it a bad rep for 24hr fitness I will definitely not join member just from day 1 of free 3 day trial. Going to LA fitness. Same price and more clean and more amenities

I chose this gym for two main reasons: the location and the hours. When I learned it wasn’t actually open 24 hours, I still thought the hours they were open would work with my schedule, and the next location IS open 24 hours and is only about 10 minutes away. The trouble is that my wife and I have now, on two different occasions, each shown up at the gym at their opening time only to see that whoever was supposed to open it didn’t show up for work. It’s not uncommon for there to be a line of about 10 people outside at 4:50 a.m. waiting to get inside, and I have to wonder what it will take for this location to extend their hours by 15-30 minutes in either direction. But none of us can afford to keep waiting until someone decides to show up. Between work, family, and other commitments, I have a narrow window of time in the entire day that I can work out, and I’m sure I’m not the only one like that. It can be difficult to get an entire workout done in time when equipment is limited (sometimes because things are broken) and the gym is crowded. I expect some of this challenges, and I know there isn’t much gym staff can do about those few rude people at every gym who hog one piece of equipment for an hour. But you should be able to help being open when you say you will be. That’s just unacceptable. Apart from that, I like this place. I just won’t be able to keep using it if this continues.

This gym is horrible. There are no toilet seat covers or toilet paper in the bathroom. The gym needs a good cleaning for months and no one has done anything about it. The neon lights are just to hide the dirt. If they were white lights, no one would even train there. There is a total lack of commitment to the people who are registered at the gym. It is also impossible to cancel the plan. I`m living in other state and they are imploring me to go to Van Nuys cancel the membership, horrible! I`m sharing my last time that I went to the gym and took some photos of the male restroom

If I can place negative stars on this gym then I would. This specific location is the dirtiest gym with the worst customer service ever. Whoever the girl that works the front during the day and the guys that work the evening are the worst people I've ever spoken to. I called this gym to cancel my membership when in reality it was supposed to be cancelled a year ago until I noticed a charge on my account. I called to confirm the cancellation and told me I had to go in person to do it. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me the manager would be there the following day. I called the following day and the front desk girl told me they don't have a manager and was extremely rude about it. I don't know who the hiring staff is on this payroll but I really question their judge of character. TIP: Don't ever let them bully you into going into the gym to cancel your membership because I called a different location who was more helpful. They were able to process my cancellation. Overall, this company is such a scam.

Do not waste your time signing up here, called yesterday was told I am able to cancel my membership once I had paid my membership fee which I did and to stop by the front desk which I did, than was assisted by a guy who claims he is the “manager” and the “gm” and has a history of making girls uncomfortable. They will not cancel your membership at all, will charge you 3 times the amount you were promised when signing up. I had showed the guy my contract of the cancellation agreement and all he can say was “you can’t cancel until you pay this fee $118 annual fee (which I paid $135 for the annual fee 2 months ago) or you will be denied entry” I looked at my billing inform on my account and they tried to charge me another annual fee which I paid when I had signed up and was told I won’t have to pay again until November. Now I am in communication with my bank to despite any charges from them because this a fraudulent gym. FYI THE BASKETBALL COURT IS STILL NOT OPEN, THE GIRLS RESTROOMS ARE ALWAYS DIRTY, AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, stuff here will literally not help you at all. They have no communication with one another and lack of sense.

I have been coming here for the past 3 years, I enjoy the The convenience of the location of this gym, and how friendly the employees are the thing I’ve loved about this gym is that there is a pool and it’s open year-round. There are enough machines or weights to be able to work out and there are a handful of other things available if you come in and talk with the front desk. What I have seen, is that the equipment has gotten a lot better and there are a lot more lights. It really looks awesome compared to what it was a couple years ago. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to come and check it out

I used to come to this gym years ago and although very expensive, I loved it . They are misleading information to get you back in to the gym, only to not honor the advertised price . I received a message that clearly stated a promotion for a $20 month membership and that I needed an appointment to come in and talk about the deal . Came in, only to find out that this information was completely misleading as there are no plans for $20 for returning members. Extremely disappointed.

I visited a few days ago, hoping to run on a treadmill. There are no prices listed, and they wouldn't tell me what the prices were. They said to "go online." I asked, "There's no way that you can just tell me what the prices are and have me pay? I'm literally standing here in the gym at the counter." They said no. So I went to my phone, and after 5 minutes of slow service, I finally got on their site. The prices were very confusing. $25 for a month, $9.99 for a month for this gym, but you have to pay for a year, but you can cancel after 2 months, but you'll only have to pay $9.99 today, but you can't sign up until you register, but you can't register unless you also agree to ads, emails, and data collection... When I complained that I would just like to pay to use the gym in a simple way, the manager explained that their business model is to get referrals and spread by people bringing their friends and then getting their business...I'm not sure why he told me this. I was literally standing there ready to give them money, but being required to jump all of these hurdles have nothing to do with using the gym. This is an awful business model. I eventually just left. If you can tolerate abhorrent corporate exploitation and nonthinking employees, then I'm sure you'll be fine. Seemed like a decent gym.

The ads they have for these gyms are misleading!! DO NOT SIGN UP! This was my first time ever signing up for a gym membership and I was left extremely disappointed. They started calling me a week later day in and day out. My card was charged SEVERAL times throughout the day and in the middle of the night. I finally got in touch with the manager. THE MANAGER JOSE IS INCOMPETENT and should focus on managing his emotions instead of a poorly ran gym. Perhaps he should have honored the discounted promotion but he’d rather hang up in your face. This place sucks and I’ll be a loyal gym member somewhere tf else.

I recently joined Crunch Fitness and have been thoroughly disappointed, mainly due to the incredibly rude staff. From the very beginning, the front desk employees have been dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked for assistance with setting up my membership, they acted as if I was a burden and barely gave me the time of day. The trainers are no better. Instead of offering encouragement or guidance, they seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves or checking their phones. When I asked for help with a particular machine, I was met with an eye roll and a curt response, making me feel like I was interrupting their free time. To make matters worse, any time I've had an issue with billing or scheduling, the customer service has been abysmal. The representatives are not only uncooperative but downright condescending. They seem annoyed by any inquiries and are quick to dismiss concerns without offering any real solutions. The overall atmosphere at Crunch Fitness is unwelcoming and hostile. The staff's rude behavior makes it difficult to feel comfortable or motivated. I regret joining and will be looking for a gym where respect and customer service are prioritized. Save your money and avoid this place if you value being treated with basic decency

My experience at Crunch Fitness was very disappointing. I recently moved to the area and booked a 7-day membership pass online. When I arrived the next day, the manager said it had expired and only allowed me to try the gym for one day. While that was rude, I decided one day would be enough to explore the gym. The worst part was receiving an email about my card being left at the gym. When I went to retrieve it, the staff said only the manager knew about it, and he wasn't there. On my second visit, the manager seemed impatient and claimed they didn’t have my card. Apparently, they don’t keep lost items at the gym. The staff was consistently rude and unprofessional, making it difficult to feel welcome. The gym was not well-maintained and lacked basic hygiene standards. It was small, with outdated and malfunctioning equipment. Overall, I would not recommend Crunch Fitness. There are better gyms in the area with superior facilities and a more respectful atmosphere.

Jam is a great place to go meet people and either do basic training or plenty of calisthenics, but if you are going simply to work out I'd go to a regular gym where equipment is more available. Still has a lot of fun with my friends and it's super convenient that it's open late and does not require membership

I’ve been with Barbarian Barbell for the past 4 and a half years and cannot recommend this gym enough. If you’re looking for a place to start weightlifting, improve your technique, or find a new gym, this place is just for you! Emmy and Kristin are the most supportive, kind, and dedicated coaches I have ever met. They have helped me refine my technique, reach new personal records, and have been there for me when I needed someone to talk to. Because of them, I have been able to compete with confidence at both the local and national levels. The facility itself is exceptional — there are many platforms, plates, bars, and free weights to work from so you don’t have to worry about it being busy compared to a commercial gym. Sharing with others is not a problem even on busy days since everyone is very friendly. There is also a 24-hour access option which is perfect for individuals who have busy work-life schedules and need more flexibility for access. The people at Barbarian Barbell are some of the nicest, friendliest, and most supportive team you’ll ever meet. If you’re looking for a community that pushes you to do your best, you will have no problem finding that here.

Barbarian Barbell is where I discovered my passion for competitive Olympic-style weightlifting, and I’ve never looked back. Since joining, I’ve reached a level of fitness I never thought possible. Coach Emmy’s incredible skill, expertise, and dedication have not only transformed my body but also my entire lifestyle. My functional fitness, coordination, and overall health have significantly improved, and my weightlifting technique has advanced leaps and bounds. Over the years, I’ve hit personal records I’m incredibly proud of, all thanks to the top-notch coaching and supportive environment. Weightlifting has become my sport of choice, and I plan to stick with it for the long haul!

While the teachers are good, the administration is the absolute worst. Totally disrespectful and disorganized. Not to mention that they pick favorites. And I’ve had to argue to get my money back within a year after it had been taken out of my account without reason. I never write reviews. EVER. This is actually my first ever review I’ve written, but with the level of disrespect that I felt bringing my child here, I felt obligated to. STAY FAR AWAY

I took my daughter for a free trial like 3 months ago, she seems to have fun on the day. so I thought it could be a very good place for her to learn something new. After that day I never took her, but I was charge $40 , I called asking why, they said because of the uniform they gave me , which I never got on that day because it was a free trial. They were supposed to refund me my money which it never happened… so two day ago I got charge twice $190=$380 ;( very very disappointing because my daughter hasn’t enrolled since the first trial…PLEASE PEOPLE MAKE SURE WHEN THEY ASK YOU TI GIVE YOUR CARD INFORMATION, DO NOT GIVE IT. THEY SAID IT WAS FOR PUT IN FILE WHEN MY DAUGHTER START ENROLLED … THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE BECAUSE THEY SEE YOU EXCITED SEEN YOUR KID HAVING FUN AT THE CLASS. SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE !!

The owner Serge is a wonderful person and truly cares not only about his gymnasts but the entire sport of Rhythmic and all gymnasts. We recently attended the LA Rhythmic meet and had an unfortunate situation of being locked out of rental car. The entire LA rhythmic staff and especially Serge took care of us- they fed us, stayed with us for hours even after the gym closed and ultimately drove us to a hotel when we could not access the care. They are the most giving and caring team and staff. They are simply the best. I highly recommend them because they have excellent coaches but more than anything because they are wonderful people who care!

My girls are beginners at Rhythmic Gymnastics LA. They love their classes and their instructors. From my observation, there is an expectation that the girls do their best and although the classes can be intensive, the instructors bring a balance of being stern and knowing when to give hugs. Overall, I'm in awe of what these girls are doing and achieving. They are amazing! The owner is a good guy. He's always attentive to my questions and concerns. If you're interested in rythmic gymnastics/ or transferring from another gym, I can confidently say, "Rythmic Gymnastics is is the best place to go!"
