Took the beginners class with Fiona this past Saturday and had a BLAST! As a plus sized girlie, I’ve always admired aerial from afar. Fiona was so encouraging and it was so empowering to be given tools to see what my body is capable regardless of my size. Everyone got the right amount of one on one instruction as well as us getting to bond on exercises together in the process. Can’t wait to come back. A great environment and wonderful, approachable instruction. Such a great full body workout while being able to have fun. I personally can’t stand a traditional gym so I’m excited to find something that feels like it could click for me!

I was really curious to try aerial for the first time and I scheduled some intro classes. It’s great that they have different kinds of aerial apparatuses you can try - silks, hammock, trapeze. I ended up trying all three and it was incredibly challenging but so much fun! The space is beautiful, welcoming and safe. Also, there’s a lot of space to move around so you don’t feel so cramped. The instructors are incredible - they are extremely talented and knowledgeable. They’re also really patient and accommodating as well. I always look forward to coming here and I can’t wait to take my next classes so I can improve!

I recently took a series of classes at The Aerial House and had such a great experience! The studio is housed in a charming brick building, and despite the 100+ degree weather outside, the inside stayed cool and comfortable. The instructors I met were all super friendly and welcoming, which encouraged me to want to come back again each week. One of the highlights of this training space is the setup—they have about a dozen single-point rigging stations, so there's plenty of space to train. I haven’t had the chance to attend any open gym sessions yet, but from what I’ve seen online, their prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a great aerial fitness studio on the eastside, this is the place to go!

Took a beginner class with Helen and instantly fell in love with the class. She is absolutely one of the most patient and supportive instructors I've met. The studio is pretty cool, dim lights, clean, music and its all vibes. Definitely will be coming back for more classes!

I bought a groupon for aerial classes for my 14 year old daughter's birthday. She just loves those classes. The studio is beautiful and the teachers amazing! She has taken 4 classes so far and she just loves it! It is hard work but after just the first lesson, she felt so proud to have done few tricks and now she can do so many poses and was able to climb up twisting around! I will recommend those classes to anyone little people or adults! The aerial house is just too cool!

The place is great. But most of the parents are incredibly entitled. The block the driveway and park wherever they feel like it. It doesn't matter that it is clearly marked, and if you say "why are you parked in my assigned space, and could you please move" they get mad at you for calling them out in it.

It's not bad for the price, but management continues making dumb decision after dumb decision. Such as: 1 not leaving the check-in scanners on the desk, 2 requiring you check an ID card at the desk to use certain equipment, 3 keeping equipment poorly maintained, 4 posting LAST DAY sale signs every blessed day, 5 not having enough dumbbells.. etc

Basketball courts are cool, just really low so expect to hit the ceiling making you miss your shot unless you adjust. Mens locker room smells because they use Carpets on the benches. That needs to be addressed ASAP. Update 10/25/24 no more carpets in the men’s bathroom. Courts ceiling is still pretty low but what can you do 🤷🏻♂️ 5 stars 👍🏼

Sadly people steal equipment and small dumbbells so there are rarely any light weights if you're a small woman and can't lift the big ones. If you need accessories for the machines you have to walk back and forth to the front desk to check them out. Super time consuming. It's always packed. Parking is easy so that's nice. Sauna gets toasty but it's usually pretty busy. I always find a seat though. This is the only full gym in my area that's not pricey. I wish we had more options - but it's either come here and fight for a machine or go to equinox and pay the equivalent of a car payment.

I'd right this place one star but the front staff are really kind and outgoing specifically the guy with the Mohawk threads! But unfortunately ALL the Personal Trainers are really rude and for no reason at all. There's plenty of extra kettlebells and barbells they aren't using during there sessions and won't let anyone except there clients touch them. I'm paying to use the gym and the equipment but the traininers don't let you use them unless you're a client with them with is ridiculous. They don't even do this at gold's gym and equinox nor 24 hours fitness. Honestly you're better off spending your money at another gym cause this is not fair for regular goers.

Big location with the most amenities, I can usually get my work out done the most efficiently at this location. However, the locker rooms are filthy and I’ve spotted roaches in the women’s locker room for the past few months. It doesn’t get cleaned and maintained properly and facility needs some serious upgrading for the sake of cleanliness. Carpeted area of locker rooms are permanently stained and they do not clean underneath the benches in the sauna.

This location is huge! Very good lighting, spacious, good air circulation, clean, and the men’s bathroom looks like a spa room. I had a great shower there after working out! No time limit for parking in the weekend:) it means you can take your time and have a long workout session, sauna & shower routine in the weekend i love that!

Equinox is the best, and this location is one of the top ones in Los Angeles. I appreciate that it’s spacious enough for everyone to work out comfortably, even during busy hours. The staff is very friendly and does an excellent job of maintaining a clean environment. Overall, I enjoy it a lot.

I worked with a trainer, Matt McAbee, for a few months to learn more about strength training and he helped me gain a lot of confidence (and muscle!) during that time. He's very knowledgeable and encouraging, and I felt like our sessions were tailored well to my goals. If you're interested in personal training, I highly recommend him. I also love the group classes and facilities here. It's definitely a more expensive gym membership, but if you go enough, I think it's well worth it.

I worked with Matt McAbee and Claire Bryant for a few months during the summer when I was staying in LA. Not only did I make significant progress working with them (~6-8 lbs of muscle growth, generally more stable, better posture, feel better, less lower back pain), but I genuinely enjoyed all my sessions. They’re truly some of the best trainers I’ve worked with. Positive energy, nice to be around, and deeply knowledgeable of their craft. They also knew how much to push me in terms of exertion, weight, reps, etc. I’m the kind of person who asks a lot of questions and Matt and Claire were always able to answer and help me understand proper form and my own physiology better. Highly recommend! Beyond personal training, the club is great. Yes, it’s higher end and the cost matches that, but you get what you pay for. The equipment is great, the locker room is really nice, the music is good. Hard to beat.

There’s a very foul smell on the wet towels in the two cold towel fridges at this gym. I’m here very often and I’ve never seen anyone clean out and disinfect the fridges. Just like the steam room is disinfected daily, the fridges need to be. My guess is the fridges are filled with bacteria and that’s what the foul smell is. If you use this gym, don’t use the wet towels.

My wallets been stolen from my locked locker THREE TIMES but I have been a faithful member for years because it’s the most convenient lol. Gets superrr busy weekday evenings but it’s not a bad gym overall. Needs a refresh for sure. Locker rooms and showers are low key nasty and there’s no towels or soap for showering so I never use. They love to vacuum and mop during peak hours??

LA Fitness should just file for bankruptcy already as they don't care for their facilities anymore. Management at this location is simply sad ☹️ to say the least. There's no yoga 🧘♂️ mats avaliable and now little by little they are taking alway the thick mats to stretch. Just a garbage of gym. I think it's time to move on to a different gym.... Had enough of this nonsense...

Very small location, usually very busy so hard to get on machines. Don’t have much in terms of machines anyway. Lockers are in a different building unit and you have to go outside to get to it, which in winter is freezing. There is parking validation for 2.5 hours. EV chargers don’t really work well here. Overall, wouldn’t recommend unless you live nearby and have lots of time to dedicate to your lift session.

I have also noticed this gym going down the drain. The machines are frequently broken, and there are not enough of them. The one leg press machine is ALWAYS occupied. They also seem to be taking away the exercise mats one by one and there is no place to stretch when they’re busy unless you bring your own yoga mat. I’ve been a member for six years and I’m thinking of leaving.

I came here on a guest pass, and absolutely love this place. It is chic, private, with any amenity you would need. I spent about 4 hours here complete with a workout, 10-minute sauna, then enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi and lounge pool, followed by a healthy smoothie at the restaurant. It really feels like a day spa. It’s great if you can work remote or don’t need to drive all over LA during the day as it is right in the middle of all things traffic unless you’re able to go late in the evening. They also have very good classes and a spa where you can pay for massages, nail care, etc

Love this gym! Honestly, the closest comparative option being Equinox comes very short to HEIMAT (truly objectively speaking). The only reason why someone would pick Equinox is because it has access to multiple locations, BUT, if you live in LA and want your go-to gym, this place has unlimited classes on top of clean and non-packed facilities.

I’ve been a member of Heimat Gym in West Hollywood for a while now, and I can confidently say that it’s one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the gym is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment. What truly sets this gym apart, though, is the staff. Kayla, Dalia, and Annie have been absolutely amazing — always going above and beyond to make sure I feel supported in my fitness journey. Together, Kayla, Dalia, and Annie create an atmosphere of care and attention that makes Heimat Gym stand out. Their dedication to providing top-notch service truly makes me look forward to every workout. If you’re looking for a gym where the staff genuinely cares about your experience and well-being, Heimat Gym is the place to be!

Good facility, nice when the class room is free in the mornings. But the air quality in the treadmill/machine area is awful. I mean its great if you like smelling body odor, the bad breath of the person on the treadmill next to you. Like a crowded locker room. Management does not seem interested in fixing the problem, I've mentioned multiple times, employees are not empowered to adjust the AC accordingly. Not healthy and just gross. Every other gym I've belonged is generally cold BUT the air is clean --- this ones the opposite. PS: Just cancelled via their online system. They FORCE you to pay for one extra month when you cancel. Golds... contributing to why gyms get a bad name. So.. if you want to cancel, do it in advance!!!

I really appreciate the atmosphere at Gold’s Hollywood which starts with how staff interact with guests. They recently renovated the entire gym with new equipment and revised floor plan. The guests working out are easy going and cool to interact with. I avoid downtown because of the way some guests are allowed to act a fool there. Some constructive feedback is, before the renovations there seemed to be more cleaning of floors, mirrors, and equipment. I now find dust / dust bunnies more often and weights don’t seem to be put back in place as often leading to time spent on scavenger hunts. Both of these points are why I’ve been avoiding the downtown location… it’s the worst for needing to go on a scavenger hunt for free wights or other equipment. Overall, this is a great gym and I’m glad they make the space as welcoming and enjoyable as the do.

This is my favorite gym I’ve been a member of. Not only do they have well maintained and up-to-date equipment and facility, but they keep the facility and the changing rooms clean. The workout layout is very efficient. They offer the best dance class I’ve ever seen in a gym, and I have to mention the steam room, a life changing experience for after workout self-care. My only minor point is, do not loose anything, because stuff disappears from the Lost-and-found, even when another member brings it to the staff. Then again, just don’t loose anything at any gym…

Gold’s Gym front desk employees have always been friendly and helpful. I’ve been a member of a handful of gyms during my lifetime and it seems most of them were lacking in that respect. Those gyms would make me feel like I was bothering them when asking a question. It’s refreshing to not feel like that at Gold’s. The gym’s equipment is always in good condition. The women’s locker room is the cleanest I’ve ever experienced. And I mean that on a consistent basis.

DO NOT BUY FROM ALO YOGA! Our experience with this company has been absolutely terrible. We purchased a pair of yoga pants online, and they didn’t fit. Their policy claims you can return or exchange items online, but that’s a complete lie. We tried both options, and they refused to process the return. To make matters worse, we went to their store for help, and their customer service was horrible. They stated they don’t carry the product we bought and insisted they don’t allow returns or exchanges. The staff was rude and dismissive, making an already frustrating situation even worse. This company clearly doesn’t value its customers or stand by its products. Save yourself the trouble and money—do NOT buy anything from Alo Yoga! Clearly I've tried all methods, and their policy says it is returnable but they BLOCK you from returning online (screenshot attached) and store says they dont even carry the item we purchase online and states, they dont take returns OR exchanges.

I purchased a jacket from Alo and before I even received the jacket it was stolen from the shipper. Alo still refuses to refund/replace the item that I never received. I had them file a claim on my behalf with FedEx and they forgot about it and never followed up with me although the representative I spoke with ensured me that I would be contacted immediately upon any changes. Now they are stating that "I waited too long" to follow up and refuse to accommodate me. I'm out $159. Terrible customer service.

I like their clothes a lot, beautiful sportswear, uniquely designed. Ordered many times and never had an issue - free shipment to Ireland by dhl in about 3 days. This one time they double shipped my order by mistake, I asked the customer service how I'd go about returning the extra order (I wasn't double charged) and they said it was okay to just keep it! About 300eur of merch just like that! all in all, can't complain about anything :)

So the good news is this gym is affordable, parking is easy peezy, and the hours are pretty good. The bad news is it’s always crowded and isn’t always in the best shape. The personal trainers are great. That’s the best part of this place. Alejandra is who I see and I’d recommend her to anyone at any level. She will match you where you are at and adjust as you go. Empathetic, kind, knowledgeable, will make you reach your goals. Zero pretense. If the gym makes you uncomfortable at all, she will make you feel at home. Here is where I am taking off stars though. Recently, the gym installed a huge blue and white neon light in the personal training space. I can’t stand this thing. It literally hurts my eyes and makes everyone look like they’re in a morgue or something. Like, have you wanted to look even more ugly when you’re working out, cause this thing will make that a reality. I’ve asked if it’s dimmable at all and everyone is disappointed when they tell me that it isn’t. Please, Fitness 19, I’m going to need you to find a way to travel back to 1985 and give this thing back to the club you stole it from. 😵💫
