Have been coming here for a while now and for the past few weeks, I had noticed that some of the machines had a missing pin to hold the weights. As of today. 90% of the machines there are useless since the pins are all gone and if there are loose ones. People take them to the machine that they want to use. To make it worse. Staff had put PENS into the weights where the pin is supposed to be. I will most likely canceling my membership here. Here are 3 pictures I took on different machines to show how they "fixed" the issue

Just tried this location for the first time. The machines are newer than at other locations, TVs, Bluetooth, pairing to Apple Watch, generally less creaking and need for WD-40. It’s a Saturday and it wasn’t super crowded. Didn’t have to wait on any equipment. What could it work on? There isn’t much order to their strength machines. The other locations have better flow as far as areas to concentrate on certain muscles. The employees are either super shy or hate all of us. This is the only spot where you’re not greeted with sparkles, but how long am I really gonna hang with them up front? Two hours free parking. Don’t forget to validate in the little box on the right side of the counter … cos they won’t do it for you. 🤣

(Update) Visited again after a week and was pleased to see that all the machines now have the pins! Thank you for the quick action—this is definitely a 5-star gym! I look forward to continuing my workouts here!! ____________________ I've been here for a month and appreciate the clean facilities and friendly staff. Recently, though, most machines have been missing pins, creating a cycle where members take pins for themselves, leaving others without!! Staff mentioned new pins are coming this week, so I’ll update my review soon.

Its a $15 membership so its good for the price. My small complaints are that paper towels for cleaning run out fast during peak hours and machines are limited so you’ll probably be waiting for the ones you want when they’re busy. Otherwise it’s pretty good. Free parking for 2 hours and all that

Been a member over a year and loved coming here. Now, none of the machines work because someone stole the pins. Perhaps leaving this review will help in making the necessary fixing. And please, you contact the manager directly and not your clients.

I’ve been coming to hardcore fitness for the past year and this is the most progress I’ve seen in myself for the past few years. I’ve tried gyms personal trainers and nothing seemed to keep hold but here at hardcore they really work to help you reach goals. From the vibes, the music, the trainers, the equipment everything is top tier. I would recommend this place anyone that needs the help and wants to really make a change with in them self because this is the place to do it

I’ve been attending this gym for approx 6months , this gym is very welcoming all the staff are super friendly, the equipment is modern & well maintained, all the classes are well thought out and perfectly structured to get the best results. I’ve personally gained more strength/ muscle and lowered my body fat percentage significantly. The coaches are all super professional and very experienced, I’d like to acknowledge the morning coaches Coach Eduardo & Coach Ad there the best ! Thankyou Hardcore Fitness

I love this gym was one of the few gyms hosting in person workouts during covid! Breakup not in shape felt lost, def needed a savior and Hardcore was there! I was a member for a year.5 now I live in GA but HCF def was a huge part of my life and transformation in 2020-22! They provided group events and body/fitness challenges which created accountability & a cool camaraderie w/ other members and trainers! It was truly a lifestyle. The vibe was always sweet you actually looked forward to going to the gym @ 5am!! lol I actually just stumbled across a video I did there didn’t think to post til now, well Thank you for being of service and a huge support system in my life and I’m sure to all your members blessings!

Been a member for over a year and a half and HCF is one of greatest gyms I have ever joined. The manager was and still is passionate about helping others improve and transform not just on the outside, but the inside as well. I did not feel like another transaction when I signed up and then I'm left to just do my thing. The people here are really encouraging and the bootcamp style workouts really take the guess work out of your workout! Each class is led by two trainers who show you every movement and there to assist if needed during the actual workout. Basically, the week is planned out and each day focuses on a different muscle group or groups and all you do is show up and get that weight moving. With covid, all classes are outside and the staff is on top of keeping members safe with cleaning protocols, announcements from trainers, limited class size, face covering and glove requirements, and more! If you are looking for a gym, I definitely encourage you to check out Hardcore. Update 12.4.2021 -- I added past photos fr 2019 and early 2020 (January to March shutdown) to show energy and commroderie of gym. They are in no way a reflection of the gym and their covid protocols currently.

I've been here for almost a year, and my body fat has dropped from 30% to 24%. Coaches Shelby, Kaymi, and Joe are so supportive; whenever I feel like giving up, they always call out my name and encourage me. They correct my pose every time I'm doing it wrong. I started lifting 5 lbs and now I'm up to 20 lbs. Tread speed at 5 mph used to be tough, but now I can go all out at 12 mph. I'm starting marathon training now. Thank you, Orangetheory! I've attended other studios like Barry's or F45, but I feel like at Orangetheory, the coaches focus on each member's improvement and correct any wrong poses, which is unmatched by other studios.

I joined OT after my friend highly recommended it to me, and it's been great since. I've been there for over 3 months now. The staff are extremely friendly and ensure everything runs smoothly; the studio is clean, and the coaches are the best. They provide great support, which keeps me going. Personally, I've noticed a change since joining OT. Highly recommend the South Park OT location. Thank you team!

I’ve been a member of OTF in various different locations over the past 5 years. This is by far the best one I’ve been apart of to date! After less than a month of joining the South Park location the staff and coaches knew me by name, remembered my favorite station (Shout out to Jhah!), and made me feel like I belonged! The workouts are always different which keeps things interesting! All of the coaches have been wonderful, but I do want to give a special shout-out to my favorite ladies, Coach Kaymi & Coach Sara! Their energy is infectious and their playlists are the best. I truly can’t sing their praises enough. 🧡

The nba clothes store is open somewhere between 0 and 7 days a week. I took a 20 min walk down there. The door has the normal opening hours on it but the door is locked, the lady in there just shook her head at me, online they say the store is permanently closed at the moment for covid. The security says they are open 3 days week. So it’s anyones guess.

I was looking for a nice gym to stop into on my work trip to Culver City and I’m so so happy I did. Really pleased with the entire experience of GymTonic. Machines are brand new and are relevant machines that are sought after such as Hip Thrust, Hack Squats, etc. It was so clean and full of amenities - including a sauna, towel warmer, the best filtered water dispenser, meditation room. The locker rooms were equipped with toiletries and various feminine products. Overall I was impressed at the variety of equipment and amenities there - and it wasn’t too busy and overwhelming when I went. I would definitely recommend this gym. Lastly the customer service was amazing. Grace at the front desk welcomed me with such warmth and kindness. Really appreciated that energy walking into a new gym. Thank you Grace ♥️

This is hands down the best gym in the LA area! Good vibes and energy from the staff and other gym members. I never had to wait in line for a machine and the gym itself was always very clean. Mark was amazing, he helped sign me up initially and answered any questions I had. When I was in a stressful situation with relocating for a my job suddenly, Dakota made the cancelation process easy. I am so sad I had to cancel my membership here but if I’m ever back in the area I will 1,000% be returning! This truly is the most genuine gym community, which is difficult to find in the LA area. I mostly strength train and they had all the necessary equipment to get the job done. I was able to take the restorative yoga class with Claire and that was the most relaxed I have been in a long time, highly recommend! I could go on forever about how amazing this gym and the staff is. Even though I was only a member for a short period of time, it was a great experience all around. Thank you gym tonic!

So far it’s been great, been going here a month. The gym is boutique, not a national Gym like equinox, but is never over-crowded and often you can do exactly what you came in to do. You still get all the attention and people knew my name within a week, very cool. I like the couple classes and love how clean everything is and that all the weights are always put away. If I have a gripe, it’s that I wish the gym app could better integrate with my trainer but even big name gyms like lifetime and equinox didn’t have that but it’s the only “con” I could think of! Very happy to be here.

As a new member of Gym Tonic, I’m not entirely satisfied. One of the main reasons I joined was the outdoor turf, but it’s not accessible during all business hours as I was initially told. The turf is connected to the gym through two large garage doors, which must remain closed if the weather is deemed "too hot" or "too cold" to maintain indoor temperatures. Members can only use the turf when the doors are open, making access entirely dependent on the outdoor temperature. Even if a member agrees to keep the doors closed while using the turf, staff are not allowed to grant access. I’ve encountered this issue during early morning workouts when it’s cooler, and despite offering to keep the doors shut, I was still denied access. There’s also a gate surrounding the turf with an opening that could serve as another entry/exit point; but access to the outdoor turf is not permitted if the main entrance doors are close. I'm not too sure the purpose of this policy. These restrictions feel excessive, especially compared to other gyms with outdoor turfs. Most allow full access regardless of the outdoor temperature, and Gym Tonic doesn’t clearly define what the temperature cut off for "too hot" or "too cold." For example, at Equinox, I’ve been able to use the outdoor turf when it was 50°F outside. Beyond this, Gym Tonic feels small compared to other gyms in its price range. The outdoor turf could make it feel more spacious, but with limited access, the gym feels even smaller. On the positive side, the gym is exceptionally clean, thanks to the hardworking cleaning staff, who truly are the heart of the facility. Honestly, they are the hardest working cleaning crew that I have ever encountered. If the cleaning crew reads this review, "Thank you for all you do!" Additionally, the manager offered to cancel my membership, which shows good customer service. However, the next closest gym with an outdoor turf adds too much time to my morning commute, so I’ve decided to keep my membership for now. In summary, the restrictions on the outdoor turf significantly diminish the experience, especially for members like me who value this feature. I'm willing to update my review if this policy ever changes.

I rarely leave reviews but just finished my first workout and was inspired to share how exceptional my experience was. The space is remarkable: spotless, chic and decked wall-to-wall with every piece of equipment and machinery you can imagine, plus spaces for recovery/classes/stretching/outdoor workout; and the staff were just so incredibly warm and friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend enough and look forward to seeing them soar.

Terrible gym. We got free access to the gym by staying at a nearby hotel, and this is easily the worst gym I’ve been in. Not only is it at max capacity at all times, but the equipment is broken, dirty, and there is barely any Space. Additionally, the restrooms are hidden on the ground floor, and you will not easily be able to find them. There are even additional secret rooms with machines that are packed to the broom. If you stay at a nearby hotel, be prepared for this gym to ask you for all your personal information. Full name, date of birth, phone number, physical home address, email address, license to scan, and the confirmation number to your hotel stay. Do not give this confirmation number from your hotel because anyone with that number cannot only cancel any reservations, they can also gain access to your room by giving the confirmation at the front desk. I told them I would not be giving anything besides a name, phone, email. If you decide to, unfortunately come here, just give them fake information. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to even get access to the gym because you have to sit down with a manager to get all this information. Avoid at all costs.

The gym is not too large and fills up quickly, so don't even bother going between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM unless you're prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for a bench and spend 2 hours there. The dumbbell rack is always a mess and missing dumbbells, but this is due primarily to the members. Many of them will horde 3 or 4 sets of dumbbells at their bench and this should not be allowed, because there aren't enough to begin with. Also, many members take the dumbbells to other areas and even downstairs and leave them there. The staff is not proactive in enforcing this rule, I've seen them not doing anything to stop anyone from taking them downstairs, especially over the weekends. Also, I've brought to their attention the need of at least three more bars, because there's always at least two benches without them. They say members take them, well, yes to perform back rows and that's why they should have one for that and two more for the benches. On another note, at least half of the members don't know what they're doing, many of them are just wasting their time and what's worse, wasting my time. So expect crowdines, people on their phones, groups of up to five people supposedly working out, long wait times, and lack of sufficient equipment. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and courteous, maybe too nice, and the gym is very clean. There isn't a day I train that I don't see people constantly cleaning, mopping, wiping, picking up stuff, etc. Lastly, the music is too loud. It's so loud I can't even hear myself thinking in there even with my ANC earbuds, it would be great if you lower the volume a bit.

11/18:24 4 treadmills have been broken for months. No sign on them, nothing is done to fix them. Completely incompetent management that doesn’t check the equipment. 8/15/24: Air conditioning in the cardio area hasn’t worked in months. I’ve emailed the company a few times and it doesn’t get fixed. This is typical for LA fitness to neglect the facilities, but this location in particular is one of the worst I’ve been to. Ask to see the service schedule. It doesn’t exist. Equipment stays broken here for months at a time. It’s not all bad though, inexpensive. Members at this location can be sloppy douchebags. Update: I’m reducing my rating from 2 to 1 star because the incompetent management can’t even keep toilet paper stocked- had to wipe my ass with toilet seat covers. Been going here for 5 years because it’s convenient. The staff and management is a revolving door and equipment stays broken for months. There is a piece of chewed gum on the wall that has been there for 5 years. 7/23/24 update. It’s 95 degrees outside and the AC isn’t working in the gym. It hasn’t worked in the cardio area for months.

I’ve been coming to this LA Fitness for a few months and it’s always a great experience. The front desk staff are friendly, and I especially appreciate Paul’s positive attitude and encouragement every time he greets me. The gym is spacious, well-equipped, and the locker rooms are always clean. The only downside is that there’s no sauna, but apart from that, it’s a great place to work out. Highly recommend!

Seek other options. I been a member for a while only because I pre purchased for a few years. It has been a mistake. A lot of the machines are broken and out dated. I was told they were working on getting machines. Only one machine was brought it and it was for a machine that was not broken. Most of the cardio machine still have the original iPod connections some flash a low battery error message for over a year and breakdown a lot. The same can be said for the weight machines, some have been broken or rebroken in Sept. Safety and cleaning standards are questionable. I brought my concerns to management attention only to be ignored. Repair staff will spray chemicals in a poor ventilation area even if you are in the next machine. The same is done with the cleaning crew. Carful with power cords. Staff will run power cords around the machines you are using with no warning signs. To top it off this year alone, I had to personally chase away homeless people twice staring at women from the window on Flower street. One was touching himself. I told the front desk sadly it continues to happen.

So it's been a few months since my last post, and I haven't noticed any improvement. Here is a couple more pictures of the etiquette at this location. Arrived at 5am when they had just opened and found an empty red bull from the night before. Weights strewn all over the floor and a guy had his stuff in the way. Honestly wake up staff. Original Post: Management is in need of an extreme wake-up. 1. The staff is useless. They do a decent job of folding towels and greeting you from behind the counter. That is all. At any given time, there are 2-3 people standing around with no real purpose. My suggestion, get them to reorganize the weights at the end of the night. If they show they care, maybe the customers will too. At the very least, they will be earning their paycheck. 2. Cleanliness is lacking. I've been here about 6 times in the last couple of weeks, normally before 2 pm, and I've only seen the cleaning staff one time, same Hispanic lady. She was cleaning the windows one of the times. The sanitizing sprays usually barely have any in them, and I've shown up at 5 in the morning when they open. 3. It is very overcrowded. That's obviously a good thing. Use the staff to enforce some sort sort of order. I've seen a diverse number of clients with no gym etiquette whatsoever, who better to learn this from than the staff. I seriously doubt you will lose clientele to suffer a loss. Let me not only post all the bad but the few good. The towel availability is a great thing. 3 hour free parking is very good. That is about it. Recommend for the manager to take a trip to Santa Anita mall Golds Gym and see where to set the bar. Will update in a month or two in hopes that I see more pros or possibly a change in the way business is run.

This is my first ever gym membership. Glad I made the decision to try it out. I’m still new to the gym, but so far it has been a good experience. It’s a decently sized gym, but still has good equipment. The PT I was assigned to has done a wonderful job at making me feel welcomed and has taught me new techniques to improve my workouts. I hope it continues to be a good experience for me every time I go. It is packed full of guys most of the time, but if you mind your business and blast your music in your ears, you should be okay! 😁👌🏼

EDIT from 1 star to 4 stars: After leaving this review, management at Gold's has called me to resolve the below experience. They confirmed that the deals should not have been sold as a package. I've been refunded the training days and been assured that this type of behavior isn't in line with the values of the gym and will be addressed with the team. It's very good to know that the team at Gold's takes this type of behavior seriously. I'll be staying at Gold's due to their professional response. ORIGINAL: My experience at this Gym has been alright, but the salesmen did swindle me out of extra money when selling the membership. I was offered a "special deal" where I could get my first and last month off, as well as a permanent $5 off monthly, if I bought 5 trainer days. I learned that deal is on the website without the need to purchase any trainer days. I'm severely disappointed with the management of this branch. To be clear, I would not have bought the trainer days if I did not believe I was saving money on my membership. My personal trainer has been perfect. He's taught me many things I need to know about different muscle groups and how to hit them all properly, as well as the diet required for my goals. I simply wish I had more time with him for the amount that I spent on the meetings, now that i know they weren't really part of any deal. I won't be supporting a Gym that takes advantage of it's customers, and after I've used up my training days I will be switching to a different gym. They don't deserve any loyalty after conducting deals in that fashion. Otherwise, my experience at this gym has been relatively average. Like most gyms in LA, it's pretty understaffed, the weight rack is disorganized, but you can go and get a workout done easily. I do enjoy the class selection that they have.

There have been a lot of reviews about this gym allowing homeless people (who are members) to lounge around in the gym. It is true. It may be bad for business, but the owner of the gym allows it anyway. As far as I'm concerned, this gym is doing the Lord's work. I commend them for trying to help others in a city that is rampant with homeless people. The bottom line is that the gym has all the equipment and facilities you need to improve your health. The gym is well maintained/clean. And the pricing is a great value: it's open 24 hours, 7 days a week. They even offer classes. So there are no excuses to getting on the road to fitness.

Super chill gym, everyone I've encountered is respectful and mindful of others, on the gym floor. Locker rooms are a bit hectic at times so, be wary of no space on the benches , or the occasional dude who just HAS to be butt naked for some reason even though towels ,and shorts exist 🤣 I usually go between 12am-7am. And the place is basically empty. Overall great place to work out.

The people up front make or break the experience you have to ask them why they aren’t smiling ? You have to ask them why they are in a bad mood. It’s better to go to another location and the toilets are always filled. There’s parking and showers. It’s unsettling to be in a gym where it doesn’t feel welcoming and you get whatever energy they have on them!

I’ve been a loyal planet fitness member for over two years now and it’s been the best thing I’ve done to help myself be fit and healthy… This plant fitness in Los Angeles, does not have warm water for their showers and if you use the restroom to wash your hands. Cold water , no warm water. I showered in lukewarm water not so good . This is cruel and unusual water situation at planet fitness , hopefully management will look into the matter and address any issues that may concern a member regardless of my race. Thank you

I’ve been a member of the YMCA for a while, but after my recent experience with Harrison at the front desk, I’m seriously considering canceling my membership. I went to ask for help with my barcode, and Harrison was unbelievably rude. He told me to go to the YMCA Hollywood location instead and seemed shocked that I was even a member. When I mentioned my account, he asked if I knew the password, even though there’s a photo of me on the account. He didn’t seem to like my attitude and became very impatient and short with me, which is when my attitude shifted. To make matters worse, after this interaction, he deactivated my account without any explanation. The complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, and respect is unacceptable. I expect far better from an organization like the YMCA that’s supposed to value its members. I’ll be taking my membership elsewhere if this is how customers are treated just because you don’t know how to solve a very simple technical issue that sometimes can get frustrating you just don’t tell a customer to go to the next one. That’s not how you treat someone especially in a place like ymca. I have my little cousins that goes there it’s supposed to be safe space for families and kids. I was very very disappointed with how I was being treated.

The people that run this are thieves. I needed to place a hold on my membership and did so online through December. today Nov 2, I got charged for the membership fee! I took screenshot of the hold confirmation email from Oct 15 and my bank screenshot today and hope it takes less than 5 business days to read my email and then finally refund my fee? No excuse for this type of business practice. I won't be going back.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s very clean, the staff is friendly, they have most equipment I need, and an indoor pool and sauna which I love. That being said, it’s cramped, it’s small, there’s not enough room for as many people go there at peak hours. Another thing that I don’t like is since covid they changed the hours so that it closes at 8 pm, it’s closed for 3 hours in the middle of the day and it’s closed weekends. There is no reason to keep the hours like this from what I see! Overall I like the gym, but please change back the hours

I'm thrilled to share my positive experience at The Camp Transformation Center East LA. After 1 long year since I joined, this establishment has been instrumental in helping me achieve my weight loss goals. The supportive community, comprised of both fellow camp members and dedicated coaches, creates an inviting atmosphere that motivates me to push my limits during every workout. The encouragement and camaraderie at the camp have truly made my fitness journey enjoyable and successful. Highly recommend!

The Camp is a community based fitness center with clear guidance and opportunity to build your strength. Honestly would recommend to anyone and allow the experience to explain itself when you attend a class. Staff is really communicative and supportive

For all the hype this place has received I really thought it was going to be very enjoyable. The instructor for the early morning classes seems to get irritated very easily and does not even pay attention to the form of the participants. For the money being spent you will receive a similar class you would get at LA fitness or 24 hour fitness. I will definitely not be going back anytime not only because the instructor fails to motivate me, but I feel you are over paying for what you receive.
