Terrible gym. We got free access to the gym by staying at a nearby hotel, and this is easily the worst gym I’ve been in. Not only is it at max capacity at all times, but the equipment is broken, dirty, and there is barely any Space. Additionally, the restrooms are hidden on the ground floor, and you will not easily be able to find them. There are even additional secret rooms with machines that are packed to the broom. If you stay at a nearby hotel, be prepared for this gym to ask you for all your personal information. Full name, date of birth, phone number, physical home address, email address, license to scan, and the confirmation number to your hotel stay. Do not give this confirmation number from your hotel because anyone with that number cannot only cancel any reservations, they can also gain access to your room by giving the confirmation at the front desk. I told them I would not be giving anything besides a name, phone, email. If you decide to, unfortunately come here, just give them fake information. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to even get access to the gym because you have to sit down with a manager to get all this information. Avoid at all costs.

The gym is not too large and fills up quickly, so don't even bother going between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM unless you're prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for a bench and spend 2 hours there. The dumbbell rack is always a mess and missing dumbbells, but this is due primarily to the members. Many of them will horde 3 or 4 sets of dumbbells at their bench and this should not be allowed, because there aren't enough to begin with. Also, many members take the dumbbells to other areas and even downstairs and leave them there. The staff is not proactive in enforcing this rule, I've seen them not doing anything to stop anyone from taking them downstairs, especially over the weekends. Also, I've brought to their attention the need of at least three more bars, because there's always at least two benches without them. They say members take them, well, yes to perform back rows and that's why they should have one for that and two more for the benches. On another note, at least half of the members don't know what they're doing, many of them are just wasting their time and what's worse, wasting my time. So expect crowdines, people on their phones, groups of up to five people supposedly working out, long wait times, and lack of sufficient equipment. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and courteous, maybe too nice, and the gym is very clean. There isn't a day I train that I don't see people constantly cleaning, mopping, wiping, picking up stuff, etc. Lastly, the music is too loud. It's so loud I can't even hear myself thinking in there even with my ANC earbuds, it would be great if you lower the volume a bit.

11/18:24 4 treadmills have been broken for months. No sign on them, nothing is done to fix them. Completely incompetent management that doesn’t check the equipment. 8/15/24: Air conditioning in the cardio area hasn’t worked in months. I’ve emailed the company a few times and it doesn’t get fixed. This is typical for LA fitness to neglect the facilities, but this location in particular is one of the worst I’ve been to. Ask to see the service schedule. It doesn’t exist. Equipment stays broken here for months at a time. It’s not all bad though, inexpensive. Members at this location can be sloppy douchebags. Update: I’m reducing my rating from 2 to 1 star because the incompetent management can’t even keep toilet paper stocked- had to wipe my ass with toilet seat covers. Been going here for 5 years because it’s convenient. The staff and management is a revolving door and equipment stays broken for months. There is a piece of chewed gum on the wall that has been there for 5 years. 7/23/24 update. It’s 95 degrees outside and the AC isn’t working in the gym. It hasn’t worked in the cardio area for months.

I’ve been coming to this LA Fitness for a few months and it’s always a great experience. The front desk staff are friendly, and I especially appreciate Paul’s positive attitude and encouragement every time he greets me. The gym is spacious, well-equipped, and the locker rooms are always clean. The only downside is that there’s no sauna, but apart from that, it’s a great place to work out. Highly recommend!

Seek other options. I been a member for a while only because I pre purchased for a few years. It has been a mistake. A lot of the machines are broken and out dated. I was told they were working on getting machines. Only one machine was brought it and it was for a machine that was not broken. Most of the cardio machine still have the original iPod connections some flash a low battery error message for over a year and breakdown a lot. The same can be said for the weight machines, some have been broken or rebroken in Sept. Safety and cleaning standards are questionable. I brought my concerns to management attention only to be ignored. Repair staff will spray chemicals in a poor ventilation area even if you are in the next machine. The same is done with the cleaning crew. Carful with power cords. Staff will run power cords around the machines you are using with no warning signs. To top it off this year alone, I had to personally chase away homeless people twice staring at women from the window on Flower street. One was touching himself. I told the front desk sadly it continues to happen.
