Great staff. Great atmosphere. PFP is the best place to train, whether you are just starting or have been an athlete most of your life. Also one of the best places to get a massage! Love walking in and always leave better than when I came!

I love that the gym is always clean, friendly, and well-equipped. It's also great that the gym is flexible enough to let members join a class even if they're running late. Overall, I think the gym does an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I have definitely noticed improvement in my strength and cardio.

I started PFP about 6 weeks ago and am really enjoying the classes. I was spinning my wheels at a local $25 a month gym but finally came to the conclusion that I needed structure, inspiration, variety and most of all: a challenge! That’s what I’ve found at PFP. GREAT group of coaches and trainers that really pay attention to you and help with your form and movements during class, which is very helpful as I have NEVER done this type of training before. I look forward to getting some personal training for weightlifting to be able to safely participate in the weightlifting classes. If you can work it into your budget, definitely opt for the recovery monthly membership, I love the sauna and compression and use them almost daily especially on my off days. Shower facilities and massage therapists available to book too!

I have struggled with constant injury during sports and working out due to some hypermobility issues. I came to PFP to get some guidance on how to strengthen my muscles to support my joints and found Gina Moss, who has a background in physical therapy. She even has experience with hypermobility, as she has some of the same issues I do! Since coming here, I have loved the guidance and support I get from Gina, who always encourages me to listen to my body and stay consistent without pushing myself to injury. I feel stronger and more capable to live my daily life. The gym atmosphere is awesome too! The staff is friendly and helpful, and I’ve never had any issues with other patrons like at some gyms. If you’re looking for a gym without creeps and with plenty of people to help you meet your goals, PFP is the place!

This is a nice and clean studio. I like that they provide fresh clean towels to clients. I also appreciate they provide snacks and drinks for special occasions like around thanksgiving. I appreciate the studio being flexible with class packs too. My favorite instructor is coach Andi W. She has an amazingly warm personality, genuinely wants to get to know her clients, and has great music choices.

I love Stride. Great workouts, amazing coaches, welcoming environment. I am so glad it’s near where I live in Lawrenceville. Highly recommended for everyone no matter your level of fitness.

Just took my first class and Mia made it seamless! She took the time to watch everyone’s form and provided modifications for every move. It’s a GREAT workout for all fitness levels and I definitely want to go back. As someone who does HIIT 5 times a week it pushed me and Mia motivated me the whole time. If you go to stride make sure to take Mias class!

I am a member at Stride and have done over a 100 classes. The workouts are fabulous and they do a great job at keeping the material new and fun (especially the themed classes). The staff is so kind, helpful and encouraging. The facility is always clean. I cannot recommend Stride enough!

I've been a member of STRIDE for nearly three years and love the style of workout, the instructors and people! I enjoy a mix of cardio and strength training, and the format at STRIDE makes it easy to scale up or down as needed. There's not much 1:1 instruction being given during class, so if you're unsure of form or how to do a particular movement it's best to talk to a coach before or after class. They're all approachable and knowledgeable.

My husband and I have been going to Panthro since the end of September and we really love it. We started with semi-private classes which was a great introduction for us to see what Panthro was all about. The boot camp classes are lots of fun (and hard work) and each week and day is different so you don't get bored of the same routine that you might get in other fitness studios. I love that the classes are small and you get lots of feedback from the trainers. We've worked mostly with Olivia and she is so personable and really cares about your progress. Although we haven't trained with Rosie, we love it when she's around because she just oozes with great energy and keeps us pumped! We look forward to continuing our fitness journey with Panthro. You guys are bomb

Panthro Fitness is the BEST!!! It’s not only the best gym in Pittsburgh but probably everywhere! at least in my opinion. You will not be able to find a gym like this anywhere else. Panthro is strength training focused (you will get to do barbell squats, deadlift, bench press, etc.) while incorporating metabolic, athletic, and mobility trainings into the programs. Every day is a different workout and you will never get to do the same workout again so you will never get bored. Every class is fun yet challenging! Coaches are really nice, knowledgeable, and pay attention to everyone in the class and can tailor and adjust the workout based on your need or your injuries. And the best thing is that Panthro is the best community and is a family!! We support each other. We always have great fun events and challenges to help you achieve your goals. We push each other to work hard and cheer each other during the class (especially those last few reps lol). Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. If you are new to lifting (which I was when I joined Panthro in June 2020), this place is for you - don’t be scared. If you’re an experienced lifter, this place is also for you. You will learn more how to improve your techniques and your mobility to be able to lift better and heavier! Joining Panthro is the best decision I’ve ever made! It’s definitely worth it!

I have been a member of Panthro fitness for the past 8 years. I absolutely love it and honestly can’t imagine my life without it. The community of Panthro is so amazing from the coaches to the other clients. When I first started going I was completely new to working out and was nervous about starting something new but everyone is so helpful and made me feel so welcome. Panthro is a great place for all ages and for any fitness level from beginners to advanced. Chris and the other coaches can also modify workouts for you if you have a chronic or acute injury which has been so great for me as I struggle with chronic neck pain. Every workout and every week is different to help you achieve your goals. The environment at Panthro is super positive and encouraging. I can’t recommend this place enough!!

I have been going to Panthro for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. Not only are the coaches great at what they do, the people who go to the gym are great as well. It is a very comfortable environment. You will not get that intimidating feel that you get at most gyms. It’s also very diverse community and everyone is invested in each others goals. We all motivate each other to do better no matter where we are in our fitness journey. The coaches put together a wide variety of workouts in the classes so you target all areas, which is what I love the most. If you are a person, like me, who could not stay consistent in a gym, then come give Panthro a try. The environment will change your whole experience with working out. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

My teenage daughter, husband and I have been attending boot camp at Panthro for over a year. We are all stronger and more fit, which has improved our performances in other sports, like running, triathlons and tennis. The change has been remarkable. Everyone at Panthro works hard in a supportive and very positive environment. Chris, the owner, is always upbeat and very knowledgeable about nutrition and exercise, so we all tap into his wealth of knowledge on a regular basis.

Love community division! Adults. Those who have some experience even as younger dancer will love the intensity, live piano music and wonderful instruction !

Ballet classes are fun, accessible, great exercise, and skill building! And did I say FUN?! Kaitlin, Madeline, Jonathan, and others are phenomenal teachers and bring wonderful energy into their classes.

I am so grateful to Adam W. McKinney. Something happened with my mom when we went to see the Nutcracker. Adam handled everything right away. He took great care of my mom. When we went back to see Beaury and the Beast, he actually remembered us and hugged each of us as we came into the theater. Because of him I would go see almost anything there. He is an amazing person.❤️❤️❤️

Drop in community classes are really great, they have options for every level dancer and the teachers are wonderful, they give lots of great feedback and adapt class for students. The company does wonderful performances as well, a great dance program for Pittsburgh to have!

We planned on going to one of their Open Air performances on Flagstaff Hill until we learned that masks are required. We're not going to sit in the 85-degree heat with masks on, outdoors, with room to socially distance, since we've been vaccinated and the CDC finally admitted that outdoor transmission isn't a thing. Sad that so many people are so fearful that they can't follow the science and allow a little bit of freedom when it's clearly safe to.

I’ve had a wonderful experience as a new client at Arsenal Strength and would highly recommended this business to anyone who is interested in getting into the gym but feels scared to start. I had a consultation with the owner, Brooks, that left me with an overall positive impression that this would be a friendly, inclusive place - and my experience has not disappointed. I started with 4 personal training sessions to prepare me for the classes, and my trainer, Lizzie, was motivating, engaging, kind, and well-informed. I was nervous about going from 0 to 100, but Lizzie modified my routine to my abilities and body’s needs during our trainings. I joined my first class this morning and truly surprised myself by my ability to keep up, thanks to everything I practiced with Lizzie. I find the space & people very welcoming, and the classes fun and engaging. I have always been someone who dreaded going to the gym, but Arsenal Strength has genuinely turned that around for me. A final bonus that I’ll mention is that Brooks and Lizzie actually *asked* me what my goals were instead of assuming, and this business has been extremely respectful of me not being interested in intentional weight loss. It can be hard to find spaces that are able to separate your fitness from your weight, so I wanted to emphasize that for anyone who is either not interested in intentional weight loss, or requires non-weight loss related fitness programming for mental health reasons. I’ve been able to simply use improvements to my strength, stamina, and technique as markers of success and it feels great. Overall, I’m confident that no matter what your needs or abilities are, Arsenal Strength will be an inclusive place for you to make it work. Give it a try!

If you’re like me and have always disliked regular gyms, this place is for you. It’s the perfect blend of CrossFit and something like Orange Theory, offering dynamic and engaging classes with knowledgeable coaches. The vibe is super welcoming, the programming is well thought out, and the gym is consistently clean and organized! I just started about a month ago but can tell will stick around long term.

I was looking for a gym after my back surgery to reinforce my muscle after years of pain. I have had terrible experience in the past, or I would never follow through and give up after 6 or 8 months. And then, I found Arsenal strength. At first I was scared and uncomfortable, as I never did CrossFit. But everyone here has been so supportive. It doesn’t matter your level or how little you know about it. The coaches are always here for you, showing you the right moves. I feel I am having a personal coach even if we are 15 in the class. They always adjust the workout for my needs as there is so many things I can’t do anymore. I love how inclusive this gym is and I always feel the love and support from staff and other members. At first it was hard, but after the first 1 months of soreness, it gets better! Don’t give up and go at your own speed! So grateful to have find this gym. Final plus: easy access and easy free parking!

Best gym I've ever dropped into! Very inviting and welcoming! Coach was great and was very clear on the workout. I got a fantastic workout to start my day. Anytime I'm in the area I'm definitely coming back to Arsenal! Thanks Brooks for letting me drop in! See ya next time!

My experience is a bit unique. I met with Brooks to talk over some very specific goals I have and he told me that they are not the best place to assist me with my goals and referred me to someone else. If my fitness goals change and I want to do something more in line with what type of training they specialize in, I will not hesitate to go back because that kind of honesty and frankness is not always commonplace in the business world. He could've promised me the world and taken my money but he and his gym clearly prioritize honesty and customer satisfaction which I think is great.

We've been taking private (two-person) yoga classes with Maryellen for two years. Maryellen is gifted. Once she hears how we are feeling for any given morning, she customizes the flow and movements for us. Now, our sessions take place at the recently opened Annex! Such a sweet and warm spot. It's mini-version of the larger Penn location.

One Point One is the best! I started my Yoga journey nearly two years ago with Maryellen. Yoga has changed my life and this is the only place in Pittsburgh I’ll ever go. Great staff, great locations, and great energy! Highly highly recommend.

Fabulous addition for the 1.1 community. Had the pleasure of flowing in the new space for a 90min vinyasa class. Just as inviting and warm as the main studio. Can’t wait for my next visit to the Annex. Congratulations, Megan 💗 🥳

My boyfriend and I opened a membership at LA Fitness, expecting a good experience, but it turned into a nightmare. We were told our membership allowed us to bring two guests, but when we went to the Shadyside location, the staff claimed we only had single memberships. We had already paid for two months, trusting the staff who helped us sign up. The manager (owner) was incredibly rude and displayed the worst attitude, especially toward us as Asian customers. Instead of admitting that his staff might have made an error, he blamed us, saying, “You didn’t read the whole contract when you signed it,” and then printed five pages of the contract to make his point. English isn’t my first language, and I wonder how many people read every word of a long contract? When I asked to speak with someone else or the staff member who helped us, he claimed, “I own the whole place, and only I can talk to you.” Is this even true? Isn’t LA Fitness a chain gym? He treated us like we were trying to take advantage of the gym. We didn’t know it was a single membership initially, but instead of helping us, he refused to refund the next month and even said, “I can charge you $20 per day for bringing a guest.” This experience was beyond disappointing. I’d like to ask: what kind of gym owner behaves this way? ❗Update: we're not the only clients who experienced It.

The grossest, worst gym I've been to in a long time. I only joined for a couple of months while my gym was being renovated and oh man, it's bad. 1- The air conditioning is terrible upstairs, which is of course where all the cardio equipment is. I tried to use the treadmills on hot mornings (when I want to run inside because it's too hot) and it's OPPRESSIVELY hot. 2- The treadmill safety key clips are in rough shape. Literally this morning I couldn't get one to clip on because it was rusted through. 3- The only cleaning equipment available is measly wipes that are never saturated enough to adequately wipe down the equipment. Please, for the love of God, get some paper towels and spray bottles so people can adequately wipe the equipment. 4- The locker rooms look nice but they stink, there's no floor-length mirror in the women's main area, and the outlets in the women's area are all a disaster waiting to happen. They don't hold the plugs so if you pull even lightly on your hair dryer, curling iron, etc. it falls out of the wall. 5- The water fountains on the second floor are grossly warm. Why on earth would I want to drink lukewarm water, particularly when it's already atomic upstairs? The water fountain downstairs it better but it's also incredibly slow and it's small so it's difficult to fit my water bottle in to refill. In terms of trying to cancel your membership - good luck. They make you either show up in person during business hours (because obviously members don't have jobs they need to be at) or print and mail a notice (which of course requires you have access to a printer) to their HQ even though the membership contract says you can cancel by bringing a notice to the home club and "asking" for the operations manager. I dropped off a notice outside of the operations manager's shift and got an email saying I had to print a notice and mail to HQ. Called the club and they kept claiming I had to come in person to cancel, during those business hours, which isn't called out in the contract as any kind of cancellation requirement. It's misleading and deceptive and clearly a BS hurdle to prevent people from easily cancelling. When I pressed the staff on why I couldn't talk to the operations manager over the phone to process the cancellation I just kept getting told "that's just how it's done". On the plus side the morning staff is sweet and friendly, and it's never very crowded during that time.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at LA Fitness. My son signed up for a membership at $39.95/month, and the salesman assured him that it included two guest passes. However, when I drove 30 minutes to join my son as a guest, the front desk staff informed us that this was not true, embarrassing my son in the process. Eventually, they said they would ‘let it go this time,’ but the entire experience felt deceptive and unprofessional. It’s no wonder so many people prefer Planet Fitness, where their Black Card membership is nationwide, includes guest privileges, and is half the cost of LA Fitness—all while being open 24 hours, five days a week. This kind of customer treatment makes it hard to justify the higher price tag at LA Fitness. Note: top floor bathroom has no toilet papers!

I’ve been a member of this gym for 6 years and have loved it - but it’s falling apart. The central air (AC) has been broken for months. It’s unbearably hot. We have essential pieces of equipment that have been broken for months, door handles are falling off the doors and it’s always dusty. I’m so disappointed at how it’s deteriorated. I would not have joined 6 years ago if I’d seen it in this condition. The staff are excellent - and there are still aspects of this gem that I enjoy, but they really need to step it up.

UltiMET Fitness is hands down the best gym in all of Pittsburgh. The coaches are extremely helpful, and the positive atmosphere is incomparable. Every workout is challenging and designed to push you to your limits. I wholeheartedly recommend UltiMET Fitness to anyone looking to improve their health, build strength, find a supportive community, and enhance their overall well-being. Don’t hesitate to stop in and ask for Adrian, he will get you in for a free class to try yourself —that’s what got me hooked!

This gym is truly exceptional. From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted with warmth and positivity. The coaches are not only knowledgeable and supportive but also genuinely invested in helping everyone reach their goals. The community here is incredibly welcoming—working out feels like being among friends, thanks to the friendly and open atmosphere. Adrian, one of the owners, is a standout motivator with incredible energy that inspires everyone around him. I'm happy to have discovered this gym and couldn’t be happier with my experience here.

This is the best gym experience I have had. All the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and committed to helping you progress all while promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere. No matter what kind of shape you are in or what your experience level is, if you want to get the most out of your workouts, be challenged, and enjoy the experience there is no place better.

Great gym - welcoming and inviting and with classes that are sure to kick your butt. Been a few times and I appreciate Adrian's willingness to help a newbie like me with certain techniques that I'm used to. Definitely will return!

I love this gym because the coaches teach the moves in every class which I am grateful for. They are also knowledgeable, kind, and patient. Also the community here is supportive of each other which makes going to the gym easier.

Newbie class with Jasmine was SO FUN!!! Super welcoming. Everyone in the class is having a good time and you get to learn some super easy but sexy fun spins and floor work moves. Fantastic place and vibe! I went in knowing nothing or no one and had an amazing experience. Don't be afraid to jump in!

I had a really great time at the Pole Price Cut Night. I really enjoyed the group and 1:1 support that Cassie provided throughout the entire class - she was very conscious about everyone getting in plenty of time on the poles, everyone being safe, and us having fun. When providing advice and suggestions, she was so gentle and understanding of differing ability levels and body needs. I will definitely recommend it to friends and will probably bring a friend next time. As a side, I'm working through somatic trauma and felt really safe and secure with the space and moves - I really feel like this will help me to break through some barriers to body movement and expand my healing. Thanks for an incredible first experience with pole!

I have always loved coming here, it is never a dull experience! Classes are energetic and the environment so welcoming... when at first you can feel shy taking a pole class in a new studio. Jill and her staff are absolutely wonderful. As long as I am a Yinzer- this is the studio to go to for classes that make you feel sexy, sassy, and beautiful!

I cannot rave about this place enough. I started with their pole class. I went to it alone and felt that it was fun!! Then I found out about their aeriel silks class and I go EVERY SINGLE WEEK, sometimes 2 times a week if they have it. It's such a supportive and SAFE environment. I love going, trying new things and using my body in such a different way, and not to mention the way I've been able to see myself advance and progress. There's not one bad thing I Have to say. Worth every penny.

I came to the studio without dance experience of any kind and wasn’t sure what to expect. The instructors are fantastic! The community of people attending the classes are warm, welcoming and so supportive! I’m almost at my 6 month anniversary here and am amazed at the progress I never imagined I’d make thanks to this awesome studio and their staff. It’s new obsession! Treat yourself and try it out!
