My treatment and experience here has been less than favorable. I arrived at 7:02 to be exact, as I was walking towards the therapy room, Rachel saw me but never acknowledged me which is all too common for her. I always assumed that it was early and maybe she didn’t have her coffee but to my surprise that was not the case. This was my 5th visit to the facility and my last. Let me explain in detail what happened. As I approached the desk area where Matt sits, I said good morning. Rachel comes from the desk area and asks how I was feeling. I stated getting better but not 100%. She then asked if I wanted to ride the upright bike, I replied sure, she never escorted me to the bike but later came to check the time. In the meantime a lady who she seemed to know came in who also has an appointment but not sure of the time however, I heard Rachel say that she was early. She began to laugh and joke with this woman which was shocking to me because I never seen her smile. . As I am still riding the bike, Rachel proceeds to attend to the Lady who is “White” then I see Matt come from behind the desk to get a ball and a yellow band and place it at my table. When that happened I started feeling a little uneasy, thinking is she asking Matt to assist me in my therapy as she worked with the lady who came to her appointment early. I got off the bike and Matt approaches me and tells me that he is going to work with me. At that point I was confused , not that Matt would be working with me but the audacity to disregard my appointment time. I told Matt that I was leaving because I did not like the fact that Rachel did not communicate to me that Matt would be working with me for a period of time. Additionally, I have not been pleased with Rachel’s professional skills. As I was leaving the facility, Rachel follows me to ask if there is a problem.. I said I am good and left the facility. When I returned home I called and spoke with Erin (gym manager) who seemed to care and listened to my concerns respectively. She offered to give me 2 free sessions at no cost. She also stated that she would have Megan (PT Supervisor) to give me a call. Later that day I spoke with Megan who apologized for what happened to me during my treatment. She mentions the 2 free sessions they were willing to offer me. I told her that I would let her know the next day if I wanted to take the offer. The next day I called, Matt answers the call and I specifically ask to have Megan call me back. Matt then asked if I wanted to speak with Rachel ( PT who I have been working with the past 4 weeks) I stated to Matt I had no desire to speak with her. An hour later I received a call from Rachel who then pretends she had not spoken to Megan or Erin which I found puzzling. I told her she should speak with them but she pressed me into telling her the issue from yesterday I explained to her what I was felling and how she never communicated what was happening at the time. How would she know there was an issue if she never spoke to me or her colleagues. All she knew is that I left the facility. Megan called me later and stated she never got a chance to speak with Rachel about what happened yesterday. I am flabbergasted at this point. The disrespect, gaslighting and condescending tone was insulting to me. I am sure this isn’t the first time something of this magnitude has happened. Hire more people who has the ability to be professional. compassionate and caring about those who are pain and don’t look like them. And I don’t need free sessions because I have insurance and I am not a charity case.

I would like to commend the staff at Fitlife since their organization, communication and treatment were all excellent. My first therapist (Cheryl) was absolutely Fabulous and when I needed follow up visits, Sammy did a very good job of treatment and instruction for continuing exercises at home. Virtually everyone was professional but it appears they may need some more staff going forward as there seemed to be a shortage of therapists on my last visit. Thank you!

I worked with Rachel at Fitlife and she was excellent. She continually tailored our sessions to respond to ongoing issues with my knee, and I made great progress while working with her. She was also lovely to work with--warm, conscientious, intelligent and encouraging. The rest of the staff was also very friendly, helpful and professional. I highly recommend FitLife Physical Therapy.

I have been both training and taking personal classes for about 2 years. Sensei Alaa knowledge is world level in term of competitive Judo, and his personal training skills are even better. I had many joint and physical limitations prior to working with him. It’s now gone. His customized approach is very efficient, far more than other national trainers I had to deal with in the past. He is always looking for improvements and doing R&D on his side to improve his contents. I would highly recommend working with him for any purpose, from maintaining/improving your global health, to very competitive goals. If your aims are realistic and you are diligent, you will find your perfect match at El Idrissi dojo.

Martial arts is something that sounds scary, and can look pretty silly from the outside without any prior knowledge As a woman in my mid thirties I had never done any sports, let alone martial arts in my life. I started my judo journey in Chicago under an amazing sensei and a very supportive family, so starting again in a new city was very intimidating El Idrissi has people from all walks in life practicing judo. It’s so nice to be able to train with women my age and size as Well as young scrappy guys that can both give me pointers as well as succumb to my agility as a smaller gal Judo is family, and I’m glad I was Able to find one so quickly in a new place with sensei El Idrissi

My 7 year old daughter started Judo 2 years ago at the El idrissi Strength Dojo. My daughter is a small 7 yo and I was nervous she would get hurt. After a few classes I quickly realized Alaa and Kristen are incredibly vigilant instructors who are extremely protective of the students and who know alternative ways to teach individual students within the context of a larger class. Skill levels in the kids classes vary but no student is ever left behind or made to feel left out. The patience and attitude of the instructors is modeled by the students when they are training with each other. If you are thinking about Judo for your child do not hesitate to try this Dojo, one class and you will see what I have described in this review.

Have been taking classes with Alaa and Christine for the last year or so. My kids are 5 and 7. A boy and a girl. I am a former competitive judoka myself, and occasionally join the adult group. I am a very picky parent too! The way Alaa and Christine work with kids in my opinion is excellent. They manage a crowd of young kids very well being kind and playful, and at same time keeping boundaries and use just the right amount of discipline in the group. My children always look forward to the classes and I never had to force them out the door! Alaa and Christine are already achieved judokas themselves but do continue personal development and take teaching judo seriously and deep. They have their own son just learned to walk so they just have to!! :) Classes are full of fun but also every time kids learn something new (and some Japanese, and Moroccan language too!!). I am 100% satisfied with their progress and the confidence they developed with their bodies and close contact with another kid (especially my younger daughter!). As a former competitive judoka myself - i can tell that the games and the class strategy they use are designed to build the essential skill set for judo. We go to Mt. Airy location only. The only wishes I have are: start class half-hour earlier (currently 6-7), have larger and more consistent group (hit or miss - could be 10 or just a couple), and that WE COULD DO IT MORE (1-2 times a week for now). There is a small but all-inclusive gym upstairs you can use while watching your kids in the class. Adult classes I took I genuinely enjoyed. Great group of people - mixed genders and abilities, typically 2-4 black belts in the group of 10-ish players. Parking has never been a problem for us ant traffic js typically light there in the evenings. Easy to bike or use the train as well! Very happy and proud of my kids. Thanks guys!

I love this gym! It's budget-friendly, clean, and has the basic equipment you'd need as a beginner/intermediate gym-goer! The staff have all been friendly and the patrons are respectful. For the sake of critique it can definitely get crowded after 3pm (school kids) and especially between 5-9pm (adults getting off work).

I’m definitely not a person to leave bad reviews but what has occurred is honestly disappointing, pay so much money for this to happen to me. They are breaking all the lockers locks and stealing all your personal belongings. I had a chat with the manger and employees, nothing ever got back to be or resolved. I definitely don’t recommend.

The men's showers are nasty, during days straight, and apparently no one cares. I talked kindly as possible with one employee and just told me, " Yes, you're not the only one who can smell it. It's like the third person who says that". Come on, please. I don't like talking badly, but no one is taking care. I believe so what's the matter?

Not bad for a small neighborhood place. I used the 5 day free trial and ultimately ended up signing up elsewhere but the experience here wasn’t bad. Some of the equipment is a bit dated, the barbells have way too much spin for anyone who benches relatively heavy. Good amenities other than that, nice locker room, you can tell management cares and addresses concerns for the most part. I never got a formal quote for a membership but it’s one of those gyms where for the right price I’d be willing to overlook the minor shortcomings

One thing is: The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Overall the gym is old but clean. Decent for a neighborhood gym but at $35 + for that price you can go somewhere that offers different locations and more amenities. This is a nice spot if you live or work around the corner.

This gym has been slept on by many! I’ve been coming here for over 7years and counting. My family has been here for over 14 years. I never find myself waiting on any machines. Everyone’s focused and polite. I love the staff… especially Michelle Capparell. She’s a true beauty & beast. She has an amazing step class that will tone up your body while having fun! She also ends her classes w/ stretching and meditation. As a business women I find that important to me, because once I leave from the gym I’m back to business and raising my family. If you need motion JOIN! I like to say this is a family oriented gym because believe or not I met ppl years ago at Juniata fitness and see them consistently at the gym. Health is wealth. I love this branch of the Y. The pool is one of the best I’ve visited - really well maintained with friendly guards (and a sauna!!) The studios are clean and bright with enough space for everyone. Erika’s yoga classes and Alicia’s Zumba classes are my absolute favorites - all of the instructors I have met are extremely kind, patient, creative, and encouraging. Unfortunately this place has declined a lot. There use to be nice staff there but now most of the staff is rude, mean, and unhelpful. The front desk is absolutely dreadful, children run freely, young people smoke in the front of the building and Kidzone is ran by a bunch of staff who are glued to their phones and don’t want to interact with the children. Don’t trust these people with your kids…they don’t even want to pick up a baby!

This gym has a pretty good set up. Classes are awesome and there is a lot of equipment to choose from. Only down side is the hours at certain times of the year because they run on a college timeline. It is also packed at certain times of the day. But early morning and mid lunch are great times to go!

Update: I have mentioned that currently IBC is the only gym at Temple that has both cardio and weight room, which I see as problematic for such a large university. Starting this semester, there were 4 instances during different times of day (morning, afternoon, evening), which I had to literally exit the building as it was, with no exaggeration, beyond crowded. Equipments (including limited benches, smith machine and DB) were too busy, especially in the weight room that they are very limited, so I didn't see any chance to use anything. Adding that to the danger of Covid spread in such a small room. The only good part about it is it's free for students and it's clean. I hope Temple would invest on building an additional gym...
Daniel Saranovic (Google User)

Has everything I need, however certain equipment is broken for some time now, without any intentions of fixing it (just a yellow tape over them). Also the classes are held in the only excercise hall with mirrors (and quite often), leaving students little room to go elsewhere should they need mirrors, wooden floors, and a bit of space.

DO NOT COME HERE AND ESPECIALLY NOT AT NIGHT. First, the area is extremely dangerous and most app rideshares cancel, refusing to pick you up there. A lot of heavily drugged and armed people on the streets. Second, it's under construction or in the middle of one, nothing to see there. Third, it's next to a highway and only close to absolutely nothing except Rocky's 1st home which is OUT OF QUESTION to visit at night. This is NOT the nice-looking place photos depict online.

Of course the area is bad. But it was the hood in the movies so no surprises there. So amazing to stand here. Such an iconic piece of history. If you have kids please be extra careful there are literally needles in the street and on the front step, some we moved to take some photos. Be careful ! Check out the pizza place caddy corner. . Nice man inside have us the vip. I wish someone would buy the this place and just make it into a simple gym or youth center. We wanted to go to his apt. Was told some folk got car jacked for the sane vehicle we were in so we passed( for now ) couldn’t see the statue it steps due to Labor Day activity. Cannot wait to go back now that I know more.

I love and appreciate the location of this gym. Due to the prime location, I think it’d be best to extend Friday and Saturday gym hours to 11pm. Also, I visited this location today and was told that the smoothie bar was closed at 12pm, I arrived after 12pm. This is a peculiar practice to have when there is no communication within the app or at this location stating this. While I will continue to use this location. There are opportunities for continuous improvement. Especially for the cost. It should be more convenient.

The gym is very hygienic and pretty and the attention of its employees is very good, but for the price they ask for monthly for the subscription, they should at least have their own parking lot. Orange Theory Fitness is a popular fitness program that combines cardiovascular and strength training in a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) format. The program is designed to provide a total-body workout in just one hour, with a focus on burning calories and improving endurance. The workout is centered around heart rate monitoring, with participants wearing heart rate monitors that track their heart rate throughout the workout. The goal is to spend a certain amount of time in the "orange zone," which is the target heart rate range for maximum calorie burn and cardiovascular benefits. One of the benefits of Orange Theory Fitness is that the workouts are led by certified coaches who provide guidance and motivation throughout the workout. Additionally, the program is designed to be scalable for people of all fitness levels, so beginners and experienced exercisers can both participate. I truly love coming here. The staff is so nice and helpful. Regular gyms give me anxiety and I feel like I don’t belong. But this place is so welcoming. And because everyone is doing the same thing I feel more comfortable working out.

Northern Liberties, Philly location is by far the best I have been to in the east coast. The front desk staff are lovely and welcoming, the coaches are informed, fun, motivating and supportive. The coaches’ playlists are 8/10 times VERY good, with lots of variety. The facility is by far the most spacious and well maintained that I have been to.. and this means A lot when it comes to working out (machines, although close together, have a good layout and more space in between than other studios). Finally, the equipment is in good condition compared to other studios (dumbbells, bands, BOSU balls etc..) and they maintain it well. I love this orange theory location and I’m so grateful its my home base. 🙏🏼

I joined OTF NoLibs back when they opened in 2018. I had been an avid CrossFitter but I had a terrible back injury and spent 2 years rehabbing. Finally, my body was ready to exercise again and I cautiously joined. The coaches and staff couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating, I started with light weights and walking on the treadmill and as my body got stronger I was able to use heavier weights and challenge myself on the treadmill. Nearly 7 years later, I still come religiously. I remain challenged by the ever evolving workouts, and I LOVE everyone who works there. I am so happy I took the first step to join! 🧡 you!
