The instructors are kind, genuine and helpful, especially if you are just getting into this style of workouts. The people that workout here and the community that this place builds is extremely friendly and welcoming, which is not the case in many group/studio classes I’ve attended. Facility is nice, equipment is well cared for. Workouts are killer in the best way.

PHL is a fantastic place to get in great shape. We train for everyday functional fitness, CrossFit competitions, triathlons, running, and Olympic lifting. I typically do their CrossFit / strength and conditioning workouts. I also use their boot camp classes when I feel I need that style work. I swim sometimes at the pool on 8th n Reed as well. The people are always friendly. The owners are the best. The coaches are always prepared and ready to help. You can’t go wrong joining the PHL family!

I've been a member at this gym for about 3 years now. I am going to use the cliché Google review statement of "If I could give more than 5 stars I would". However, I say that because its entirely true! The coaches sincerely care about you and what your goals are. My goals are not necessarily in CrossFit, but all the work I put in at the gym makes me 110% ready for the competitions I do outside the gym. It's a family atmosphere. Hands down. I moved out of the city and I STILL go here. I wouldn't go to any other gym because I sincerely believe PHL has the best CrossFit experience one could ask for any level of fitness.

Anthony is an excellent trainer. I did personal training sessions with him for a few months, unfortunately I moved away but I very much miss the attention and results I got from our one on one sessions. I highly recommend working with Anthony if you are interested in personal training, not only did I get results but I also gained a lot of knowledge in our work together. I also found the training cost to be reasonable. A++++

I found the staff to be very inattentive . The owner came across as quite full of himself. He preached about God, but did not act in a Christian Manor. I’m very upset! I do believe planet fitness has better employees. How can anyone talk about God so much and forget that love respect, and common decency are key….and he’s a sick liar who can’t handle a negative review….we should all pray for him

Terrible gym cancellation is hard, the owner Anthony preaches about god all the time its annoying. Extremly limited equipment's as well only 1 deadlift platform barely any machine and 2 bench press only.

You will not find a more infectiously positive environment on the Philly gym circuit. The trainers are absolutely amazing. The equipment is kept pristine. The clientele is friendly and motivating. They offer classes for all levels of fitness ...and a kids boot camp, too! If you're a member of any other gym, you are absolutely wasting your money.

LA Fitness Cottman Ave- I was visiting from Australia and wanted to find a local gym. The first gym I tried had very unhelpful and inexperienced staff. Just across the road, I was immediately greeted by Mel when I walked into the LA Fitness gym. The Manager, Morgan, and the sales team were able to provide me with a temp membership for my entire stay in NE Philly. The facility was exceptionally clean and there is a ton of equipment for all levels of fitness. I highly recommend this gym and will be back again soon. Thanks again LA Fitness team. Look me up if you are ever Down Under.

This location is smaller than I expected, but it's genuinely one of the nicer locations that I've been to. So far, I'm content with what I've seen and experienced for a chain gym like this and don't mind continuing to pay $30/mo for my membership. Went here for the first time this past weekend because my previous location near my workplace (Esporta in Cherry Hill, NJ) permanently closed, but they gave the members there nationwide access to all locations. This one is only about 5 miles away from where I currently live and not too out of the way on my commute back home from work.

Ravi, the GM is great - friendly, explained everything in detail, and seems to enjoy his role which makes a big difference. The facility is clean, has all the equipment I can ask for. As for the front desk person (wears glasses), not very friendly, seemed to be bothered about having to be there s for the front desk person (wears glasses), seemed to be bothered about having to be there or maybe she was just bothered with me OR maybe she has a lot going on.. who knows!

The sauna room has been closed until further notice for at least two years, which is very disappointing. There hasn’t been any clear communication from management about when it might reopen, leaving members in the dark. Considering the sauna is one of the main amenities advertised, it feels like the membership fees don’t reflect the reduced offerings. That said, the gym equipment is well-maintained, the staff is friendly, and the locker rooms are clean. However, it would be great if management could provide a timeline for the sauna repairs or offer alternative amenities to make up for its prolonged closure.

My mom was in a car accident and Oxford Rehab was the center were she took therapy and they are amazing. Dr Cohen and Gerard are knowledgeable, caring and helped us a lot going through her recovery. They are flexible with schedules and super easy to reach them if you have any questions. I highly recommend them and we will be forever thankful with them.

I want to complement the people I worked with to get me where I can say “I feel tremendous!!”but in particular, their lead physical therapist,Wendy. She is absolutely the best therapist you can have. She put me through physical exercises to increase the flexibility and strength in my left hip after having full hip replacement surgery. She is knowledgeable and professional and is willing to show you how to do the exercises properly to make you better with a pleasant and positive demeanor. She balances having you do physical therapy on one day and aquatic therapy on another day and it has helped me to heal significantly better. The office staff, Gerard and Marie, are pleasant and efficient and greet you with a smile and courtesy that make you feel welcome. I highly recommend this center if you seriously want to get better and results.

I don’t even know where to start. This place is heaven sent. After my car accident I was in so much pain mentally & physically. Dr. Cohen literally changed this for me. He found certain issues in my body that I didn’t even know was there. He is so thurl. The staff here is great. I originally was sent to another place for therapy & I didn’t feel like what they were doing was working. When I came to Oxford Rehab my God. They put me to work and had me moving around in no time. Some days were difficult but all the staff worked very hard to get me back to normal. They were so patient with me. I will miss coming to see all the staff here. If you want a very reliable, patient, and supportive experience then this is definitely your place. I promise you wont regret it.

I really loved to come to Oxford rehabilitation Center. The staff are so friendly. My physical therapist Wendy made me feel like a family. I'm in my 70's and suffering from neurological health issues that limits my ability to walk more than 2 blocks. She picked me up from my house for the first 8 weeks. I have been coming here for water therapy for 6 months. I have made remarkable improvements in my leg strength, balance, endurance. Now I gained freedom to go out by bus without difficulty. I was able to reduce my medication needs to once a day. When I am in the pool, I am able to do all exercises painless that are too painful and difficult to do on land. I call it " The healing water".

The good: Functioning and newish equipment. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Overall pretty well equipped. The bad: The men’s restroom stalls are hit or miss. Absolutely unorganized dumbbells. They’re completely out of order and some pairs aren’t even together. People leave squat racks and bench presses with 215 and as I’m typing this, just watched a couple leave a 315 squat rack. Unfortunately what makes this gym 1 star is the utter lack of gym etiquette from many of the patrons. The staff needs to make an effort in holding patrons accountable.

Listen, this location does not prioritize health and cleanliness. I had a membership hear since before covid. On my most recent visit there were no cleaning wipes and the floors were dirty (staph infection, waiting to happen). I asked the lady at the front desk. Does she have any spray that I can use with paper towels to clean the machine. While she was eating at the front desk she told me, “No, you have to wait until 2 PM until the maintenance man gets here.” Why would I wait 3 hours when Im working out now? I’ll drive to Glenside or cancel this membership. The $10 monthly fee at Planet Fitness doesn’t sound to bad.

Today was literally my first time here to see if I'd want to make the switch from the gym I am currently at and the front desk associate, Demesha I believe her name is, was anything but welcoming. Nasty attitude! Who wants to be greeted by a mean spirited person their first time at an establishment? Even while asking a different employee her name, they further elaborated on how she's "a problem" and gets complaints.. which furthermore made me wonder why is she at the front desk? But I digress... the zumba class my mate and I took certainly made up for that unpleasant hospitality. I'd return fasure, I'm just hoping they place someone more courteous at the front door to welcome customers.

As a 1st experience, I was very disappointed in the unprofessionalism. Especially considering there are some good reviews as a reference. I called and inquired about boxing service for my child. I was ask to come in same day (6pm) to get an over view of what the services would look like (like an orientation). I'm sadden to admit I drove over an hour (coming from work, 20 min. from my home) for the trainer to never come (Marquice). He was aware I was there and waiting considering I texted him advising I arrived early. To date, I have not received a call or text apologizing about being left. I invested time, money (gas which is expensive) and got my child hopes up for an experience/opportunity that never took place. I will not be referring or speaking kindly of this company at all.

Good luck actually getting an appointment for a personal training session or to join the gym and obtain a membership. I called three times and the guy who answered the phone (I guess the owner) was rude AF, curt, and huffing and puffing as if I was asking him to cure cancer. He had a "meeting" and "had to call me back" the first 2 times that I called before (hastily) talking to me about membership and competition opportunities for a female boxer. Philly has an unnecessarily cliquey heavy culture that affects almost EVERYTHING and boxing is no exception. Doing anything in this city is always a fete and feels impossible! Most of the black males in Philly are also VERY rude to women especially black women. Dealing with their ego and hostility in a black male dominated sport like boxing can be very exhausting as I feel misogynior played apart in him being so rude.

This place has become so much worse than it used to be. People should avoid this place as they don’t maintain the environment as usable. The massage chair has not been working for two months and some other equipment on the floor. People use the dumbbells but forget to put them back on the rack. It's very unclean when it gets busy. Not recommended for new customers… unless they fix everything

I've been a student here since I was 6 years old. I will be 21 in a few weeks and will be testing for my 4th degree black belt in 2025. Sensei Mark has helped me be the man I am today. He not only trained me in karate, he also is someone I can count on if I need him off the mat. Sensei Steve and Sensei Lahai are the big brothers I've always wanted. And Ms.Alicia...all I can say is that she is the glue that pulls it all together. This has been my second home and I don't know where I would be if my mom hadn't taken me there.

My sons and I were first introduced to Amerikick Northeast back in 2015, when my oldest was 3 at the time (he is now 11). Their dad and I were looking for a sport/activity for him that would not only be engaging, but something that would really be good for his growth and development. We lived around the corner from the studio, and decided to try out a class. I’ll never forget the day I first spoke to Sensei Alicia (one of the owners) on the phone, inquiring about classes and hearing how we could try a class out. She was so helpful and accommodating, and I was very eager for my son to try out his first class. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the first one, but I’ll never forget hearing all about it from their dad. How friendly the staff were, how welcoming and inviting they were…and that was when I first heard about one of their teachers, Sensei Steve! How great he was with our son, and how engaging he was with the kids! My son was a bit timid that first class but I truly believe that it was the encouragement and support that he received from Sensei Steve that really made all the difference. And from that point on, karate was a HUGE hit in our household! He looked forward to going to classes and I really saw a difference in his confidence over the years. The senseis supported his growth and development, and always made sure that he was enjoying himself. I’ll never forget that when my son needed encouragement, because he wasn’t thriving at his new elementary school years later, that it was Sensei Mark (who is the other owner, and another teacher at the studio) who took the time to talk to my son, and really showed continuous support for my son to improve at school. See, that’s what makes Amerikick Northeast stand out as being literally THE best karate studio in the Philadelphia area…the care and compassion they have for their students. They truly make you feel like family and they are absolutely incredible at instructing their students! No matter if your child is shy, or outgoing, they have this indescribable way of honing in on their students needs and really doing what it takes to make karate such an enjoyable sport for all ages. Things were so great that we even enrolled our other son when he turned 3 as well! …Whatever your needs are with the classes, Sensei Alicia will always be there to help and guide you in the right direction. Literally, one of the most beautiful souls that I have ever met! To know her, is to love her. Overall, these people are impeccable with their devotion and love to the sport of karate and it shows in everything they do. Years later, my sons and I moved to another state, but to this day, we are still so close with the Amerikick Northeast staff because that’s what happens when you join their studio…you gain another “family” and form bonds that are everlasting. I will forever be grateful to Sensei Alicia, Sensei Mark and Sensei Steve for graciously welcoming my sons all those years and treating us with nothing but kindness and courteous respect. You will absolutely fall in love with every Sensei there, and with the studio as a whole. Five stars just simply isn’t enough to rate AmeriKick Northeast…they are top of the line! I promise, you WON’T be disappointed.

This place was extremely disorganized and unprofessional. I was there for a federal drug screen, and they first said they didn't have my fed-exed materials, tried to have me fill out paperwork that didn't apply to me while they were looking for the package and I was on the phone with my employer. But to top it all off..they lost my license in the printer! I understand I might have been a bit grumpy as it was a urine test and I had to wait until this was all figured out before I could give my sample, but these are things that shouldn't have gone wrong and three capable women should have been able to figure out in less time than they did. I was one of two people in the office, so it's not like they were busy, and the other person got turned away because he had issues with his vision (another knock on their professionalism...because I shouldn't know what was happening with his medical exam while I am in a frienzy of my own). I will say, the staff was otherwise very friendly and attentive.

This YMCA is wonderful! The facility is clean & the people are friendly. They've done some very nice upgrades. The employees are always respectful & helpful. Update! With a membership, you are offered services for which the member pays. It's a disservice when all the member benefits are not given. Due to health issues swimming is imperative to my weightloss. In saying that, showering afterwards is also imperative. However, the hot water hasn't been working since last week. I asked the man at the front desk anoyt the water this morning, "notices were sent out about the hot water"... I didn't receive a notice & I couldn't find a notice on the website. This is what should've been said with sincerity to ease the frustration of members " I apologize for the inconvenience, we are working on getting the problem fixed"!!! Be honest about the situation! I appreciate honesty! I have Lupus Dry eye syndrome, etc...Showering is very important!

Hi, I wanna redo my suggestion about this place, I would like to tell you all of my experience in this place, 1. I would like to talk about the people and or the staff. The staff in the front door is very nice welcoming others, the staff in the gym, pool, and others are nice too, BUT sometimes the people are bad, I don't like when people around me say bad words and I hear how they talk and sometimes how they act. But the stuff is 8/10 2. The gym 🙌, the gym is beautiful, I wasn't here last year, but I know how the people work hard to make others feel good in this place, it has changed in a lot more better way. The gym is 9/10 because sometimes May have some issues. 3. The pool🏄, the pool is 10/10 it's perfect. 4. And I want to compare all, this place is very kind, the people who built this place who recently upgraded this place, who really want to make it a good place for family, I really appreciate you for what you're doing for all of us. Thank you.
