Love it. I've tried hot yoga at other places including other chains and this is THE spot. It's super clean, the staff are so friendly, inviting and warm people and the facilities are great. My favorite class is Yin especially with Derek. He really brings the mind and body connection to a focus in your practice and brings such positivity. The community here is great, nothing feels too instragrammy,. It genuinely feels like a safe and accepting place. Highly recommend.

I love this studio! All of the staff is caring and kind, while the instructors push you to be the best version of yourself. I particularly love Ilan's classes, as they are high energy, fun, and hard. You will walk out drenched in sweat, but with a smile on your face. Also, the Yin classes are great after a tough workout or different class.

I absolutely love this hot yoga studio! The teachers are fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. The positive energy in the room is contagious, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. The studio’s ambiance is calming, and the heated environment helps me deepen my practice. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, this place is welcoming and inclusive. Highly recommend! 🙌🔥

Love this yoga studio. The facilities are immaculate and the instructors are so kind. I’ve really enjoy practicing here. Edit September 2024 - I have to lower my review bc they got rid of all the power 1 clases during the week which doesn’t feel very trauma informed. They said they did it to make the classes more accessible but it really feels like the opposite. The yin classes are great tho but not everyone wants or needs to do the most when they practice yoga.

I’ve tried multiple hot yoga spots mainly for 26&2. What I love about hot 8 yoga and what made it the spot I come to is their variety of classes, they offer so many different classes and different variations, so it never gets boring! They have so many different locations and allow you to visit them with the same membership so it creates more flexibility if you have a busy work schedule! No excuses! I definitely recommend signing up or at least trying their welcome week!

I've been attending City of Angels Boxing in Los Angeles for years and couldn't be happier. Alex, the instructor, is phenomenal—his passion and expertise shine through every class. Jesse at the front desk is always welcoming and helpful. The group classes are perfect for beginners, with a supportive environment that pushes you to be your best. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and has a great vibe. If you're looking to start boxing, this is the place! Highly recommended.

Hands down my favorite boxing gym in Los Angeles. I have followed Alex around since 2010 and I have to say it has truly been an honor to watch him expand and to see the following he has created. I am not a pro boxer, nor am I trying to be one. What makes City of Angels so special is the love that Alex, his wife Jesse, and son and everyone else has and continues to pour into it. His leads a killer class and makes it fun. I thought I was going to puke after my first class in 2010 and yet I kept coming back for more. Alex is encouraging and yet pushes you to your limits, reminding you of your strength. You will see people of all backgrounds and ages at his gym. Everyone is welcome. I cannot recommend City of Angels enough. If you're thinking about it, give it a try. What's the worst that can happen?

Where to begin. This is hands down the best boxing gym in Los Angeles. The classes offer authentic conditioning from instructors who have actual experience in the ring. Plenty of heavy bags, speed bags, uppercut bags. Two rings. A full gym area with weights and machines. You won't find the kind of community that exists at City of Angels at another gym in LA. After six months of training 5-6 days a week, I still find the classes exhausting / instructional. If you want to take it to another level, there are always trainers around for private training and the possibility of sparring. First class is free, with free use of gloves and wraps. Not sure what the reviewer below is referring to -- if you pay for a class and leave early - don't expect a discount. There's no business that offers a refund because you can't handle the workout. But if you end up staying be prepared to gain a lot of boxing knowledge, strength and good friends.

Here is where I sweat, and it's my happy place! Friendly and skilled coaches that take the time to help everyone with boxing technique on the bag and in the ring. Great programming for boxing, I want to be here every day. It's hard to take a rest day, and we all feel this way.

My first impression was that this gym was cool, very spacious and a lot of bags to work. HOWEVER if you are a real fighter looking to compete this is NOT the place to be. Supposedly the owner was a former pro boxer who I looked up and he had much more losses than wins. All to say you could be getting trained by someone more credible for the asking price of 120$+ a month. No disrespect just being honest. To top it off these people have the audacity to charge 24$ for a day pass as if they were Floyd Mayweather's gym! Ridiculously expensive for no reason and they have a LIMITED weight selection. This place finesses beginniners and caters to people with money. (USC STUDENTS) If you are an average Joe like me who doesn't make much money but loves boxing and is looking to get better, this place ain't it. 24$ a day, this cat acting like he was a 8x world champion hall of famer..insane. Never going back. 👎🏾

Arts District is the best Lagree location in my opinion. Parking is easy and there's plenty of coffee and restaurants nearby for an after class pick-me-up. The instructors here are really great. Don't be afraid to speak up if you're ever unsure during class!

Started my Lagree journey here, great studio. I was staying in DTLA for a month and did a first time unlimited package. Loved the teachers, it’s a clean space and the location is super easy. In NorCal the classes are only 40 minutes so will say I definitely prefer the 45 min format. Can’t wait to come back.

Great instructors, clean machines and such a great workout! This studio fosters a great sense of community and that is one of the reasons I invested in a membership early on in my discover of lagree. The classes offer so much variation that they never become boring or repetitive. The experienced instructors allow for people of all skill level of lagree to get in a touch and effective workout. A few of my favorites instructors are Natalee, Juanita & Kayla.

This is the best location with a parking lot! I’ve been going here ever since I first took a free class at their smaller/older studio in the same plaza. So nice to see it expand and the classes challenge me so much. You forget about everything for 45 minutes and just feel so accomplished at the end!

Honestly I used to work out at Golds in downtown and La fitness. The reason why I switched is because both of those gyms were becoming increasingly more and more packed with little to no room to Lift. Weight times for machines were out of control. Planet fitness at this location is never that busy even at peak times. Working out here gets the job done and there is room for everyone.

Theres only been one fully working rowing machine out if about six for over a year. The rest all have broken foot holders or pull bars, I've notified the staff multiple times. Very frustrating as its the only machine i use there. Please get it fixed. Edit: can you give me a real response please? Not the "we're so concerned about your satisfaction" response you gave while providing no solution. Will you them fixed or not?

I had the opportunity to be coached by Luis. What stood out to me was the attention to detail. He broke down complex techniques into simple cues that helped me improve my form throughout the session. His feedback was always constructive and celebrated every bit of progress. I highly recommend Luis for anyone looking to improve their Olympic Weightlifting technique , whether a beginner or advanced his passion for his athletes will make the session very valuable.

Been training here for the past 6 months, I honestly can say I am in the best shape of my life thanks to my trainer/ coach Luis , I have lost 42 lbs and can lift more weight than ever before. My mile time went from 9 minutes to just below 7 min mile. It is a great open space with tons of free weights. I highly recommend you give them a try. Awesome community of people everyone is welcoming and supportive. It really is the best part of my day. They also have a nice outdoor workout area too.

Eli is great! 👍 I appreciate that he pays attention to my physical needs, always offering adaptations when necessary, but never in a way that feels like I’m taking the easy way out. At the same time, he knows how to push me just enough to get better without overdoing it. I always feel encouraged and supported in class.

I have been working out at ESTLR since April 2023 and it has been really life-changing. I had previously been doing some weight training on my own but was struggling to stick with any sort of exercise/movement routine longer-term. My therapist was actually the person that suggested I try some sort of group fitness classes. Before coming to ESTLR, the only crossfit experience I had was a single class about ten years prior. They are great about warming people up for class, providing a lot of scaling options for all ability levels, demonstrating all the movements and providing individualized feedback. The coaches are all very solid. In addition to the normal daily workouts, Luis teaches twice weekly “weightlifting for crossfit” classes that cover more detailed technique for the olympic lifts utilized in crossfit (the Clean & Jerk and the Snatch) which have been super helpful. I have never been really “into” fitness, but after going 3-5x a week for the last 18+ months, I can safely say this is the best shape I have ever been in, and I think more crucially, it’s the first time I have ever enjoyed any sort of exercise/movement or felt remotely athletic. The community at the gym is welcoming, humorous, and supportive, and it’s very LGBTQ+ friendly. Even as a total beginner I felt very encouraged not just by the coaches, but by the other people in the classes, and am excited that I continue to make progress.

The instructor Elise was really great I would have gave the whole experience a 10 the reason I gave it a 7 was the front desk staff. There was a light skinned woman with curly hair she was really rude and snappy and it just seemed like she had a bad attitude. I feel like as a customer who's going in for a workout especially early in the day it would be nice to be greeted by someone who is more warm and positive. My friends and I went in as a group and her responses to us was very snappy and rude especially the way she treated my friend when she couldn't find her reservation and told the lady it might have been because she had booked it 20 minutes before coming in and the lady was like " you should have said that when you first walked in" with an attitude I feel like that's not good representation for front desk. I work as a front desk representative so I know how it goes overall it was a great class it was just the worker who really negatively impacted the experience which is unfortunate because my friends and I will not return to that location.

I really didn't want to leave a negative review because I genuinely enjoyed the sessions but I could not get the assistance I need for 3 months now regarding subscription cancellation. I tried reaching someone through email, text, phone call, but nothing worked and the instructor at the studio repeated that I needed to consult with general customer service about any payment issues. I warned them multiple times but now I am left with no choice but to upload this online; I will consider deleting the review only after I receive the refund for over $300 subscription fees I wasted because no one got back to me.

Kayla is the best! I’m so sad to be moving and leaving her class and this studio (and to a place without Lagree!). I’ve been coming here for years and have gotten in the best, strongest shape of my life, then prepared for pregnancy, and am now getting back to myself postpartum with Kayla and the team. I truly think sticking with these workouts throughout pregnancy helped physically with the birth of my son and also gave me the confidence to trust my body doing hard things. I love the low impact, intense workouts that actually give results. Kayla makes them focused and fun and is always friendly and willing to help with adjustments and alternatives. I couldn’t recommend it more! Thanks for everything!

The studio's lack of flexibility and unprofessional response to my 4-minute late arrival, due to unforeseen car issues during a 45-minute drive, reflects a poor cultural environment. Despite explaining the emergency, they refused to make an exception, and the staff's low emotional intelligence in their text messages further disappointed me. While I appreciate Lagree workouts, such business behavior won't earn my support. UPDATE: After carefully reviewing additional feedback and your responses, it appears there's an issue with the tone and manner in which you address customers dissatisfied with your service. As someone who claims empathy, a more considerate approach is expected. Unforeseen circumstances occur, and it's crucial to adapt gracefully. Feel free to disregard my feedback if this is your business strategy.

Extremely rude receptionist who did not let me into a class for “not being on time” despite arriving 2 min before class due to heavy roadwork/ construction outside. I was planning to show up 10 min before and despite an explanation, the receptionist shut and locked the door, proceeding to put her airpods in like this was that much of an inconvenience. The class wasn’t even half full… Was then charged by ClassPass a no-show fee. I’ve shared this with so many friend interested in trying Lagree who have decided not to, so I hope this review can serve as a warning. Not just situationally re my circumstance, but the way an hourly employee can feel that much of a burden / annoying to communicate with another human in a cordial and rational manner. How disappointing.

If you're considering a membership - just do it. I LOVE working out at bellaTec. Would give 1000 stars if I could. I used to take some of their classes through classpass, but after just a few classes I knew I wanted to join their membership. I've been signed up for a little over a month now and cannot say enough great things, I have 0 regrets. The space is so clean, well organized, the staff is SO FRIENDLY and helpful. The best energy out of any fitness studio I've ever stepped foot in. Siranush's "Best Stretch Ever" class puts me in positions I would have never thought to do myself and it's so rewarding to surprise myself with my own abilities!! Love her mat Pilates classes too, I'm addicted. Just in the past month of working out here I already feel 5x stronger. I love Pearrie's barre classes, you can REALLY feel the muscles getting sculpted! Sarabeth's ballet class on Saturday morning always leaves me sore in the best way, and it's so fun to get back into dance. Afarin's reformer Pilates classes are great for anyone getting started on the machine, beginner friendly but still challenging! I would opt for Lauren's reformer classes if you're looking for something more difficult but still fun. I just took a "curls and crunches" class with Esmee and loved it- she's got great music, instruction, and the sets/breaks are timed perfectly so you don't feel overworked. Mat pilates, reformer pilates, HIIT, barre, weightlifting, dance, spin classes, nutrition guidance - you name it, they have it. There's options for everyone, available at any time. The membership is so affordable and worth every penny, I recommend it to anyone that will listen!! They're constantly hosting fun events with great vendors and they really do a solid job of fostering a strong sense of community. Kay, Carabella (the owner), Kaylee, Claire, basically every single person at the front desk is a complete doll and truly such a pleasure. Tried to write in every name that I could remember, forgive me if anyone got left off, you guys are the BEST!! Huge thank you to EVERY SINGLE staff member for creating such a fun and welcoming space for the girlies! bellaTec forever!!

I had a really disappointing experience at BellaTec. I arrived just 1 minute late to a reformer class, and the owner refused to let me in with a bad attitude and zero empathy. She didn’t even try to offer an alternative class or solution. Most studios I’ve been to allow a 10-minute grace period or at least offer a free class under such circumstances. No grace period doesn’t make any sense – what difference would 1 minute make? This kind of rigid policy, coupled with the lack of understanding, left a bad taste. To make matters worse, the reformer classes here aren’t even that great – I’ve attended a few just to use up my ClassPass credits. If you’re looking for quality classes and good customer service, I’d suggest going elsewhere. Will never come back again… Let me know if it’s good to post!

Response to the Owner: 1. False Advertisement: When I signed up for the class, it was advertised as being an hour long, but it ended 15 minutes early. I’ve attached a screenshot to confirm this. 2. Instructor Concerns: The coach just didn’t invest in us. She was mostly focused on herself, looking herself in the mirror, not checking if we were doing things correctly or safely. It felt like she was going through the motions rather than engaging with the class. Honestly, I could’ve just watched a YouTube video and had a similar experience, if not better. 3. Memberships and Facilities: While I understand you’re proud of what you offer, saying it’s “standard” really sums up how I felt—there’s nothing unique or special here compared to other gyms. And given the pricing, it’s hard to see the value when there are so many other options out there. 4. Lastly, I didn't enjoyed my time with you guys at all, so I don't know where "Jing, I am glad you enjoyed your time with us!" is from. That's why I gave one star with my reasons, so all I see is your response is not genuine and you are not trying to improve AT ALL. I had high hopes for your studio because you are good at advertising it, but this visit didn’t live up to what you promised. I hope this feedback helps make the experience better for others in the future. Old review: I used to love this place—it was supposed to be a welcoming women’s community, promoting comfort and positivity. Unfortunately, it’s no longer the case. First, their memberships are extremely overpriced with unreasonable terms. I attended their Booty Pump class, and it was a disappointing experience. The instructor was demanding and unfriendly, showing no empathy when most people struggled to keep up. Instead of adjusting or offering modifications, she kept pushing us, which felt inconsiderate. To make matters worse, the class ended 15 minutes early—that’s 25% of the value gone. On top of that, their main focus seems to be pressuring you into signing up for memberships. Even when the manager/owner tried to get personal, it ultimately turned into a hard sell. The moment I declined, their attitude shifted—they became cold and dismissive. I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be coming back.

Super glad I found this place. I’m just getting into yoga (only done it a handful of times before) and I’m a little taken aback by how welcoming the teachers are…. Welcoming like I’ve never experienced before. My first class was here was C2 with Amy, I made a mistake and showed up at the wrong place for my next visit and Sydney was incredibly patient and kind in helping me figure out the schedule/class types, and I just finished a HPF class with Ken. The actual yoga class is amazing but there’s a whole separate appreciation for the culture of this place. This is what I needed in my life and I’m really glad I found it!

Took the C1 class with Kayla yesterday. Was looking for a relaxing no heat class, it feels like everyone ONLY does heated Yoga now and forgot about non hot yoga…sometimes your body just craves a less intense yoga experience 🤷🏻♀️ and she most certainly delivered! The playlist she had was also great, just what I needed for my day of self care and renewal. Thank you!

I know how important reviews good or bad can be for any business being that I work in the fitness industry's upper management level. I have been to this studio twice and each time the experience has been great. My first visit to the studio instructor gave me a quick tour of the studio and informed me what I needed. I come from studios that have all the thrills like huge lounges, locker rooms, modern features etc. But I enjoyed how this studio was to the point and focus on the class. I was not expecting it to be a heated class but I was able to complete the 45 min. Today I did a C1 class with Ken J, I thought it would have been too much of a challenge but I was very wrong. Great instructor, funny and helpful with correcting the form as needed. Defiently will try his classes again and C2.

I booked a 4pm class on 6/27/2024 at 4pm, and waited at the studio from 3:40pm-4:15pm but no staff was around. The teacher no-showed and the studio was locked. This left me and 6 other students who had booked the class stranded. Worst of all, it wasted all of our time. We called CorePower for assistance and they did not try to follow-up or make this right at all.

This yoga studio has been such a peaceful retreat for me. It’s the perfect little escape from school life :) The instructors are so kind and welcoming. I had the chance to take Bennett’s classes during the holiday season, and she’s amazing! I always leave her class feeling calm, peaceful, and incredibly grateful to have found her at this studio. She truly cares about everything happening in class and in the studio. She creates a warm and safe space for everyone by paying close attention to each student and offering thoughtful, hands-on adjustments filled with care and love. She even helped me overcome my fear of inversions. Her creativity turns movements into fun activities, making the class feel lighthearted yet grounding. Her cues are always clear and spot-on, and everything she says resonates because she’s so genuine and heartfelt. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to practice yoga regularly. It’s such a wonderful place to grow your practice and find peace 😊

I’ve done a ton of yoga sculpt and yoga 2 classes in Corr Power, but honestly, this one didn’t feel like yoga or sculpt at all. First off, the room was so packed that it was uncomfortable and didn’t have that vibe I’d expect for what we’re paying and is felt always. Plus, the music was super loud techno, and Anabel was basically shouting into the mic to be heard, but it was so muffled no one could understand her. Everyone was just guessing and copying each other, which feels risky for injuries. Honestly, calling it “yoga sculpt” feels off – the only yoga part was a random downward dog here and there, and ending with “Namaste.” As someone who loves both yoga and sculpt, it’s disappointing not to have a class that actually blends the two. You have other people that do this that are great. I actually had to leave early, which I never do. Just hoping you’ll consider these points to keep up the quality of the experience. Thanks!

WOW! I took a C2 class with Maddy R. & it was an amazing experience. She guided us through the flows so clearly, which really helped me as a beginner. Her class was very challenging but she offered many alternative positions & encouraged the class to be proud of themselves even if they had to modify. I left feeling so uplifted & strong! Thanks Maddy, I will be coming back to Corepower Westwood!

Yoga sculpt was the perfect combination of yoga postures with a more physical workout. The club is well placed and friendly welcomes the guests. Bravo

Annabelle’s class is extremely hot and humid. She doesn’t let anyone to open the door for a second to breath. It could cause heart attacks. Her voice and music is not recognizable.

Love this studio for practicing yoga. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. Hot 8 yoga also has a great mix of classes, some challenging and others are less intense. It’s great to have those options in one location. Parking garage on site, which is easy and they offer free validation. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this studio! First and foremost, it's easy to find and get to which is rare in LA. There is a parking lot where Hot 8 yoga validates the first 2 hours for free, and also ample street parking. The studio itself is clean, the staff is always friendly, and there's plenty of amenities to ensure you're feeling your best throughout your entire experience (lockers with locks, towels, face wash, lotion, etc.) I primarily only do Sculpt classes here and they are amazing! They are so so challenging, but whenever you feel like you're about to give up, is usually right when that specific exercise ends. The classes are usually packed which is a great indicator of how much people love these classes. Tiffany is an exceptional instructor who is not only a great teacher, but comes across as an even greater human! The other yogis in the class are always encouraging, judge-free, and kind. Can't wait for my next class!

I absolutely love this Hot 8 Yoga studio! The eucalyptus towels are an amazing touch for after workouts. The showers are always clean. One of my favorite features is the convenience of being able to rent both the yoga mat and the mat towel, which takes the hassle out of bringing my own. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile.

This gym has everything you need for a great workout! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the cleaning team keeps the space spotless. There's plenty of equipment and room to get a full-body workout without feeling crowded. I especially love the powerlifting room when I want to lift heavy, the studio space for stretching, foam rolling, or hitting the heavy bag, and the TRX setup for functional training. The gym also has weighted bags and a sled—perfect for building strength and endurance. It’s a great neighborhood gym with an awesome vibe, whether you're lifting, stretching, or getting in some conditioning work. Highly recommend!

I really like this gym. It's like a second home. The staff is great. Kay is my fav! She's always got a big smile on her face and a great greeting! The gym isn't overly saturated with people, and the equipment is clean and works well.

Great no frills gym. They have every piece of equipment you can ever ask for. I've never had issues with it being overcrowded and needing to wait a long time for equipment. Clean showers/bathrooms. Plenty of free parking in their underground garage. Not a fancy place but that's what I like.

Best gym in LA. Sufficient equipment, great locker room, good cardio machines. The staff is top notch and super friendly and helpful. Power lifting room for deadlifts etc, tons of free weights, kettlebells and medicine balls. Great layout and it rarely feels crowded. Little more expensive than the other chain gyms but that means less riff raff and more serious lifters. If you want to get dense and bulbous and jacked, this is the place for you. Awesome gym.
