I've been attending City of Angels Boxing in Los Angeles for years and couldn't be happier. Alex, the instructor, is phenomenal—his passion and expertise shine through every class. Jesse at the front desk is always welcoming and helpful. The group classes are perfect for beginners, with a supportive environment that pushes you to be your best. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and has a great vibe. If you're looking to start boxing, this is the place! Highly recommended.

Hands down my favorite boxing gym in Los Angeles. I have followed Alex around since 2010 and I have to say it has truly been an honor to watch him expand and to see the following he has created. I am not a pro boxer, nor am I trying to be one. What makes City of Angels so special is the love that Alex, his wife Jesse, and son and everyone else has and continues to pour into it. His leads a killer class and makes it fun. I thought I was going to puke after my first class in 2010 and yet I kept coming back for more. Alex is encouraging and yet pushes you to your limits, reminding you of your strength. You will see people of all backgrounds and ages at his gym. Everyone is welcome. I cannot recommend City of Angels enough. If you're thinking about it, give it a try. What's the worst that can happen?

Where to begin. This is hands down the best boxing gym in Los Angeles. The classes offer authentic conditioning from instructors who have actual experience in the ring. Plenty of heavy bags, speed bags, uppercut bags. Two rings. A full gym area with weights and machines. You won't find the kind of community that exists at City of Angels at another gym in LA. After six months of training 5-6 days a week, I still find the classes exhausting / instructional. If you want to take it to another level, there are always trainers around for private training and the possibility of sparring. First class is free, with free use of gloves and wraps. Not sure what the reviewer below is referring to -- if you pay for a class and leave early - don't expect a discount. There's no business that offers a refund because you can't handle the workout. But if you end up staying be prepared to gain a lot of boxing knowledge, strength and good friends.

Here is where I sweat, and it's my happy place! Friendly and skilled coaches that take the time to help everyone with boxing technique on the bag and in the ring. Great programming for boxing, I want to be here every day. It's hard to take a rest day, and we all feel this way.

My first impression was that this gym was cool, very spacious and a lot of bags to work. HOWEVER if you are a real fighter looking to compete this is NOT the place to be. Supposedly the owner was a former pro boxer who I looked up and he had much more losses than wins. All to say you could be getting trained by someone more credible for the asking price of 120$+ a month. No disrespect just being honest. To top it off these people have the audacity to charge 24$ for a day pass as if they were Floyd Mayweather's gym! Ridiculously expensive for no reason and they have a LIMITED weight selection. This place finesses beginniners and caters to people with money. (USC STUDENTS) If you are an average Joe like me who doesn't make much money but loves boxing and is looking to get better, this place ain't it. 24$ a day, this cat acting like he was a 8x world champion hall of famer..insane. Never going back. 👎🏾
