I pay way too much money for what I get. I’m not sure why they keep hiring people who don’t know how to be professional, mannerly and nice to their people… And then, as far as the gym… nothing special for what the price you pay. I don’t know about you, but when I’m spending my harder money, I would at least like to feel welcome.

There household memberships are too expensive . It’s awesome that kids can come here and distract themselves for a couple of hours , definitely way better than them being out on the street somewhere . . . But 90 a month ? I don’t see how this helps the community at all . It’s really greedy , then they have workers in there that don’t even say hello when you walk in , if you going to be making your community poor at least educate your employees to be more welcoming to every and anyone especially those who paying . Cussing around small children smh . Ghetto .

I spend half money lose for my daughters volleyball. I don't believe a young coach bully and not doing her job to teaching. They just playing round. And don't waste your money to spend girls to volleyball.... My daughters don't learn anything from volleyball coach since 5 weeks is wasted!!!! They are too busy chatting and play with their phone. SMH and i talked and email to YMCA and she never respond or anything! Seems they don't care! And my daughter asked coach why u teaching not for chatting she said I DONT CARE. Not acceptable attitude...

Don’t owe membership money even one day past due. They will terminate you with no call or option for solutions to work With you. We been donating for years and barely use the membership. They claim to be for the community and a non profit that supports all communities but it’s all lies. You pay your money and nothings ever updated in the facility. I know there are more than me that donated.

New floors! They allow you to rent this facility for events. My husband use to have a group that would play basketball all the time. I have heard that a religious Organization is blocking others from renting now but I am not sure about that. You have to call to find out the prices.

Great gym they really seem to know what their doing as an up and coming gym. Obviously they aren't going to have as much detail but the prices need to reflect competing prices it could charge a little less.

We stayed one night for New Year’s Eve. It was a great time. The staff was super courteous and helpful. The access to the parking garage was easy, just across the oneway street. The room was spacious and clean. The architecture and atmosphere of the place were beautiful and well maintained. The bartenders were very attentive, conversational, and made excellent drinks. Breakfast was delicious and our server was incredibly nice and accommodating.

Hotel is located in downtown with lots of options for restaurants and shops. There is a parking garage directly across the street from the hotel. It was cold and I didn’t bother to go up to the rooftop. The hotel staff was always pleasant whenever I bought stuff from the pantry. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

This was a fancy hotel for us. I mean you really just sleep there, so clean and a comfy bed does the trick, but we had other things going on for this trip. I absolutely loved the classic hotel mixed with modern, and it was comfortable. I don't sleep well, especially in hotel rooms, but the bed was pretty comfy, and I did pretty good. The staff was friendly, and so helpful to our elderly parents and family. We attending a rehearsal dinner in the hotel, and it went off without a hitch. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. We were even lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset up at the rooftop bar, but if you want something a little quieter, the lobby bar might be better. It was a good location to go in a lot of different directions. You can even walk to a couple of breweries. Be sure to check out all the murals near Collusion in Royal Square. Very cool!

Right in the heart of York, with $1.50 overnight parking across the street in the garage. This hotel was a very easy experience. The lobby bar and staff were excellent, and i found the rooms to be well suited to both short and longer stays. Was not able to check out the rooftop but will next time!

I used this hotel for my wedding block, and I ended up having a great experience. Shoutout to Jenn and Jody for exceptionally great service, but the people working there in general was the highlight of our stay. Two members of my party did get stuck in a malfunctioning elevator, because the keys need to be swiped for the elevator to go where you tell it too. That could be a user error fluke but we also had some key issues. It seems like the system with the key cards is not great, but that’s a higher up issue than anyone I spoke to at my stay. Overall the aesthetic and service in this hotel are AMAZING! I would use them for my block again and again if I had to do it over.

We visited for the first time last evening, having just signed our daughter up, and were very impressed! The sign up process was easy, and getting her into the group was seamless. We were greeted after our daughter joined the group and given and update at the end of class, confirming she was at the right level for the group she was in. We look forward to more sessions!

We started with gymnastics over 5 years ago. She ended up competing for 2 seasons and decided to give Ember Cheer a try for their first season. She was hooked! She did both for well over a year. She has continued with cheer and loves being at the gym where she spends so much time. She loves engaging with the cheer and gymnastics coaches. There are so many opportunities for her to put in extra work, which she takes advantage of them all. She has made so many friends in both programs.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! I don't even know where to begin !! Chris is an amazing owner , very involved with everything going on in there ! The teachers for the kids are amazing!! My daughter is 4 and we just started sending her there as she's been bugging to do gymnastics for a while , the teachers really take the time to focus on her with her being new and helping correct her ! Within the few days that she's already had her classes , you can see the progress ! She tells everyone of how she's in gymnastics and how much she loves it !! I enjoy the big windows that allow me to see how she's doing! I couldn't have chose a better place for her to do her gymnastics!! And the prices !? Very reasonable!!! Chris is amazing ! His teachers/helpers are amazing !! Thank you GY!

I love everything about this place! It's clean. It's never crowded. It's 90% older mature adults. Personal trainers are professionals and available. There are only a few lockers, 2 restrooms - for men & women - and 2 showers. PT Kaye has been a blessing to me. The atmosphere and clientele is cozy but respectful. I appreciate the dress code and standards of cleanliness - everyone must spray & wipe whatever they touch. The equipment is decent and there are a few classes held on the regular. The owner is a Christian, there is a variety of music piped in, and there are 3 TVs. If you just want to get your workout done in peace and leave - this is the place for you!

As a newcomer to the gym scene in 2021, I was impressed: the staff knows members by name, members are friendly but mind their own business, and the facility is always clean. Trainer Kaye introduced me to the equipment gradually to help me overcome my initial intimidation. Kaye was attentive to my goals and helped me modify my workout when concerns arose. I am comfortable coming here any time of day.

A little more money than Planet Fitness. I'm a third shifter and like to do things in reverse to the "normal people". Going to the gym anytime I want is great. Even on the weekends. They do offer classes, morning and evenings if you want. The times that I go, no one looks at me strangely. Nor do I feel out of place. I really like this gym. Also, it's nice that I don't have to travel so far to get there.

I've been to quite a few Planet Fitness locations around the country with my Black Card membership. This location is my favorite one so far. Great layout, plenty of equipment. For example, most places only have two rowing machines. They have four. Everything was in good repair. It's also a 24/7 location. It's very handy for travelers like me.

I started working out at home & only using the facility for tanning & massage for several months. That was even becoming less frequent because it was always so dirty & the staff wasn't very nice to anyone. It was SO different last week when I was there. New staff, smiling, greeting people happily - clean floors, no trash laying around the tanning beds. I really hope it wasn't a fluke!

I've been going to this planet fitness for almost 13 years I come here twice a month and parked the truck for a total of 2 to 3 days a month and I've been a member for over 14 years at planet fitness until some drunk ass guy tame impounded on my door Sunday night you told me I got to leave or he's calling the wrecker. So unfortunate is there any planet fitness I look forward to going to because I go to another gym I'm a truck driver when I'm on the road 5 days a week this is the planet fitness I go to twice a month because my family is from York and I live in Maryland now 200 some miles away. And all of a sudden they want to tell me I can't park here now so I had to end my membership at planet fitness that's what happen. So now I'm not a member anymore because I'm not allowed to park there.

I joined First Capital gym to continue the rehabilitation of my shoulder that I had just finished physical therapy for. I had never been much of a gym person but am a runner with good endurance and lots of miles under my belt. The staff at First Capital were welcoming, attentive and interested in me succeeding at my goals. The small class format was perfect for me to learn the basics under watchful eyes and constant guidance. I took the introductory 6 week class and then continued with a regular membership. I definitely feel stronger and my shoulder has been pain free. I also improved my times at my two spring running races and felt stronger during the races as well as my running in general. I highly recommend First Capital Gym to anyone over 40 who wants to work on there strength, health and general wellness!

First Capital Gym is not a one-size-fits-all gym. This is what drew me to become a member. I was looking for a gym with a more focused setting, personalized group training and a positive atmosphere and found it all here. My main goal was to get in better shape, but as I progressed I have also attained more energy and am getting stronger. I work in construction and the workouts that are offered here have helped me immensely in my strength and endurance, not to mention mental sharpness. I feel so much better since becoming a member here, two years ago and counting, and will continue to be a part of this group setting. Ryan and Amber and their team of trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to offer tips and their expertise, and that is what I need. Thank you, Ryan and Amber, for providing a great facility in our community. Rick Martin, Red Lion PA

Facilty it's self is great, my only complaint is there is only younger kids working behind the counter. Late teens maybe early twenties and they are always, every single time on their phone the whole time I was in there. One girl was even facetiming someone and sitting down behind the counter. None of these people give a crap about customer service. When you sign the paper to tan they never warn or tell you that you should have safety goggles and lotion to tan and never recommend you start with 3 or 4 minutes the first time you tan for the season. I never see them leave the counter unless it's to unlock the tan rooms and alot of them seem like they were never trained they never know how to do anything to help you with your account. Seems bad business to hire people and allow them to do whatever on their phone blatantly in front customers the entire shift..

I am extremely disappointed with this gun. I've been coming here since 2020 and every time u think it's getting better it gets worst. It seems the selection of music is bias and prejudice in a nation where culture diversity won't be accepted. Any other crunch or gym I've been to plays a bit of everything. Even zumba classes. This gym seems to only play pop or rock music. There are lots of other culture as well as selections of music to serve your customers. It's sad to say that the only music that's played now is music only for a Caucasian people. I don't think my membership will continue. I rather take my service elsewhere.

Staff is always friendly, great equipment. For a busy gym the keep it very well cleaned and maintained. BUT WHO EVER IS IN CHARGE OF THAT DAMN SPEAKER IN THE BIG SIDE ROOM. If I could leave -0 stars, I would, not for the facility, but for the Customer Service. I was in a month-to-month agreement with them from marketing, the manager who chose to participate in a cooperative marketing, left my organization, and I decided to cancel at which time I called and emailed and went to the location with no response, I had to cancel the credit card at the Manager was using because she was no longer with my organization, and crunch would not respond to me to cancel. I had to contact my credit card to file a complaint. I then proceeded to go to crunch and have multiple emails saying I wanted to cancel, I reached out again to the manager and left multiple messages. Visited three times Still to no avail, they sent me to an attorney for collections, I provided all of the documentation and reached out multiple times to have a conversation with a manager or someone in the crunch organization, I also called the crunch Lancaster organization with no return calls. This is definitely an example of making something more difficult to cancel than it is to subscribe to. As an owner of multiple businesses, this particular practice has been infuriating, and taken immense amounts of my time to manage. I would be mortified if my clients were treated in this way, I also would probably not be in business! I would just be very careful what commitment you’re getting into and what you’re signing because you probably won’t be able to reach any individual other than a person sitting in the front desk Who knows nothing and is unable to help you and will just give you a number to call or an email to Send and you will receive no response. Good luck.

The gym is very clean!! The front desk staff isn’t very friendly and barely welcome you in. Most the time someone is just looking down at their phone or not even at the desk. There are a couple staff members that are friendly and welcoming! The Kids Club weekend staff girls are very compassionate & kind! They’re great with the kids and babies. They seem to be understaffed and not as kind or compassionate during the week days, though. The gym needs a lot of work when it comes to staffing.

Pros: Plenty of gym space Variety of equipment Rarely crowded Friendly staff Cons: Membership price is not competitive with other local gyms Cleanliness is a major issue. Willing to bet this place hasn’t been properly scrubbed in months. Hire a janitor especially if you’re charging damn near $30/month… Update as of November 2024: Men’s restroom soap dispenser in the locker room has been broken and out of soap for 3 months. Quite frankly, pathetic.

Usually dirty, indoor courts and fields are nearly ALWAYS rented out to other unaffiliated groups. Staff is hit and miss. There's some very nice staff, but there's a few rude women. Hours are weird. All of their televisions are blue screens. They have Ballyhoo sports teams (soccer/volleyball/basketball/etc.) they absolutely do not support their female soccer teams. You will practice on subpar fields (even their on-site outdoor soccer field is a joke.) there will be no winter programs, even though they own an indoor field. I can't speak to their boys program. The team coaches do their best, but they aren't given any support from the club itself. There are much better clubs. I don't really know what this place's purpose is. If you want to play indoor basketball and there isn't a volleyball tournament, then I guess it's fine. If you want to use the S3 personal training, that looks good too. If you want to use treadmills and don't want to want to watch the televisions, and you don't like working out past 5 on weekends, then this place is fine. But there's better versions of all those things in the area.

Nice gym overall, however cleaning there is an issues as the bathrooms are dirty. Along with the rest of the gym, the gym is dirty and equipment is never put back and if you go during particular times are is only 1 of every machine leading to wasting your workout waiting. And recent I have seen kids behind the desk and young children ages 11-13 running on the treadmill barefoot or lifting weights without adult supervision. For 22$ a month there is better options for the money. especially when cleaning is a big dealbreaker for a membership. Friendly staff and people but the gym itself is falling apart.

I like PA Fitness in general; it reminds me a lot of the gym I go to when I go visit my parents (out of state); which has a turf area, spin classes, a lot of equipment to choose from, movie theater cardio room, and a smoothie bar. When I go home to visit them, I always go to that gym and stop by the smoothie bar immediately after. When I was being sold on the elite membership, I was told that I would have access to the location at the York Galleria mall, which is the only one with a smoothie bar. I go on their website, and it says they have a smoothie bar. Great, so I sign up. Now after a month or so with my membership, I finally stop by to this location expecting it to have a smoothie bar. And nope, it does not. I went to the front desk and asked the guy there about it and he says that they haven’t had a smoothie bar in over a year! It’s been gone more than a year and they still have it posted on their website (as of 1:44pm today when I took a screenshot of it to make sure I wasn’t mistaken) and they are still telling people that they have it when they sign up for memberships. I just feel so much distrust for them right now because I basically have been lied to in order to sell me a membership. They were knocked down another star because for someone coming from a different location, their women’s locker room is not entirely intuitive to find. I first saw the men’s locker room, kept walking through the gym looked around the same side of the gym as the men’s locker room and saw the pool. Wasn’t sure if I went too far, so I had to ask someone who was in the middle of his work out (super nice guy, feel bad for interrupting his workout) because there was no one at the desk at that time. It’s right next to the pool, but sort of tucked back in the corner. You won’t see anything that actually says “women’s locker room” until you go all the way to over by windows at the pool (which is basically at the complete other end of the gym from where you walk in at) to see anything that says it’s the locker room. Overall, I like the equipment they have, like the saunas and red light therapy; but I really hate that I was lied to. I am still going to go because I paid for a year, but now I’m on the fence on whether or not I’m going to pay for another year after this one ends.

They make it impossible to cancel, you have to physically go in to be able to cancel. I emailed to cancel, my debit card expired and I didn’t update the payment info because I emailed them to cancel. I heard back and they said that they forwarded it to the proper people and that I’ll be hearing back. I didn’t get anything till months later and they were still charging. They sent an inaccurate amount to collections. I was a member for 5 years, paid the whole time during Covid when no one was using the gym due to no one following per cautions. I’ll take the hit on my credit report, because I know all of these bad reviews will add up and this gym will go belly up.

I initially called due to charges on my credit card that I didn't agree to in my contract. The manager stated that it was due to the monthly charge not going through the day before and that the company treats it like a bounced check. Xtra ($20) What? It's 2024. Other companies just cancel your membership or receive payment when it finally goes through. I asked him to cancel my membership cause most of the time their "Elite" ($34.00) product you pay for is out of service. He took it personal and started to talk over my voice until he hung the phone up on me. I made a drive out of my way to the gym to see this guy in person after that to ask if he canceled my membership cause he felt the need to hang the call up before finishing the conversation. Proceeds to tell me he hung up cause he's quitting in two days and doesn't care anymore about the job. I'm ok with dealing with a different type professionalism so I'll take my money elsewhere.

The gym is great. Has up-to-date functioning equipment clean and sterile. Love that it has a sauna. Love that it has a pool in the hot tub. Only Khan about this place is they will lie to you and tell you that you have to do an assessment and it's part of your membership sign up but they're actually tricking you into signing up for a personal trainer. That's the only downfall about this place.

The gym is clean and the workouts are challenging. The trainers are helpful. BUT the owner, Tim, has some issues. He's rude and aggressively confrontational over little things....like follows you around while yelling at you, and will even follow you out into the PARKING LOT mocking you as your trying to leave. No thanks.

I am extremely picky with who I recommend, as everyone should be. York Fit to me exceeds all my expectations. YorkFit provides a facility where the goal is working together to achieve common goals. There is one thing that makes YorkFit stands amongst the top crossfit gyms in Central PA. That is exercises should be adjusted for difficulty to provide a safe an effective way to work out. This can only be provided with the knowledge that I only believe Tim Steele and his excellent team has created. The workouts are created to accomplish your goals without causing harm to the body. Three core foundations that all gyms should learn from YorkFit: Teamwork, Adaptive Exercise, Team Leadership with incredible coaches that will test limits.

The staff at YorkFit is excellent, and it is definitely not your average Crossfit gym. I have had a lot of experience with multiple gyms in the area, and there really is nothing like it around. The coaches are exceptional - they know the members, and will work with you based on your personal abilities/limitations/goals. It is also the only gym (and certainly the only Crossfit) I have been to that really stresses recovery, and paying attention to your body to ensure you are getting the right balance of stress and active recovery to avoid injury and actually progress. Their response during the shutdown has been impressive as well - they gave out equipment for members to use, and have kept the community engaged and moving forward. They also offer one on one training and open gym time. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I came to YorkFit searching for a gym that will make me stronger having just started endurance training and racing the last 3 years. I checked out a few places prior to coming to YorkFit and immediately noticed a difference when I walked in the door. First and foremost, Tim and the coaches are just as enthusiastic about your progress as you are, probably even more. They are very concerned about learning proper form and technique prior to adding weight, which was important for me as I have no prior barbell experience. They are also so inclusive, which carries out through the culture of the gym. I feel so welcome and supported every single workout, by both the coaches and the members. I started here looking just to add some strength to my program and already a month in, it has become so much more. I would highly recommend!
