I enjoyed the equipment that was provided. Only issue or complaint is the 2 female staff that were at the front desk were on their phones the whole duration of my visit. They greeted me but with no eye contact at all. Not to professional.

I've been to quite a few Planet Fitness locations around the country with my Black Card membership. This location is my favorite one so far. Great layout, plenty of equipment. For example, most places only have two rowing machines. They have four. Everything was in good repair. It's also a 24/7 location. It's very handy for travelers like me.

I started working out at home & only using the facility for tanning & massage for several months. That was even becoming less frequent because it was always so dirty & the staff wasn't very nice to anyone. It was SO different last week when I was there. New staff, smiling, greeting people happily - clean floors, no trash laying around the tanning beds. I really hope it wasn't a fluke!

I've been going to this planet fitness for almost 13 years I come here twice a month and parked the truck for a total of 2 to 3 days a month and I've been a member for over 14 years at planet fitness until some drunk ass guy tame impounded on my door Sunday night you told me I got to leave or he's calling the wrecker. So unfortunate is there any planet fitness I look forward to going to because I go to another gym I'm a truck driver when I'm on the road 5 days a week this is the planet fitness I go to twice a month because my family is from York and I live in Maryland now 200 some miles away. And all of a sudden they want to tell me I can't park here now so I had to end my membership at planet fitness that's what happen. So now I'm not a member anymore because I'm not allowed to park there.

They sign you up, but never tell you there is an annual fee, until you ask why you got so much for the month. Staff is real nice though. Signed my son and I up and they signed up three people charged me for it and when I disputed it, they just fixed it, but didn't refund my money for the extra money they took out my account.

Pros: Plenty of gym space Variety of equipment Rarely crowded Friendly staff Cons: Membership price is not competitive with other local gyms Cleanliness is a major issue. Willing to bet this place hasn’t been properly scrubbed in months. Hire a janitor especially if you’re charging damn near $30/month… Update as of November 2024: Men’s restroom soap dispenser in the locker room has been broken and out of soap for 3 months. Quite frankly, pathetic.

Usually dirty, indoor courts and fields are nearly ALWAYS rented out to other unaffiliated groups. Staff is hit and miss. There's some very nice staff, but there's a few rude women. Hours are weird. All of their televisions are blue screens. They have Ballyhoo sports teams (soccer/volleyball/basketball/etc.) they absolutely do not support their female soccer teams. You will practice on subpar fields (even their on-site outdoor soccer field is a joke.) there will be no winter programs, even though they own an indoor field. I can't speak to their boys program. The team coaches do their best, but they aren't given any support from the club itself. There are much better clubs. I don't really know what this place's purpose is. If you want to play indoor basketball and there isn't a volleyball tournament, then I guess it's fine. If you want to use the S3 personal training, that looks good too. If you want to use treadmills and don't want to want to watch the televisions, and you don't like working out past 5 on weekends, then this place is fine. But there's better versions of all those things in the area.

Nice gym overall, however cleaning there is an issues as the bathrooms are dirty. Along with the rest of the gym, the gym is dirty and equipment is never put back and if you go during particular times are is only 1 of every machine leading to wasting your workout waiting. And recent I have seen kids behind the desk and young children ages 11-13 running on the treadmill barefoot or lifting weights without adult supervision. For 22$ a month there is better options for the money. especially when cleaning is a big dealbreaker for a membership. Friendly staff and people but the gym itself is falling apart.

I like PA Fitness in general; it reminds me a lot of the gym I go to when I go visit my parents (out of state); which has a turf area, spin classes, a lot of equipment to choose from, movie theater cardio room, and a smoothie bar. When I go home to visit them, I always go to that gym and stop by the smoothie bar immediately after. When I was being sold on the elite membership, I was told that I would have access to the location at the York Galleria mall, which is the only one with a smoothie bar. I go on their website, and it says they have a smoothie bar. Great, so I sign up. Now after a month or so with my membership, I finally stop by to this location expecting it to have a smoothie bar. And nope, it does not. I went to the front desk and asked the guy there about it and he says that they haven’t had a smoothie bar in over a year! It’s been gone more than a year and they still have it posted on their website (as of 1:44pm today when I took a screenshot of it to make sure I wasn’t mistaken) and they are still telling people that they have it when they sign up for memberships. I just feel so much distrust for them right now because I basically have been lied to in order to sell me a membership. They were knocked down another star because for someone coming from a different location, their women’s locker room is not entirely intuitive to find. I first saw the men’s locker room, kept walking through the gym looked around the same side of the gym as the men’s locker room and saw the pool. Wasn’t sure if I went too far, so I had to ask someone who was in the middle of his work out (super nice guy, feel bad for interrupting his workout) because there was no one at the desk at that time. It’s right next to the pool, but sort of tucked back in the corner. You won’t see anything that actually says “women’s locker room” until you go all the way to over by windows at the pool (which is basically at the complete other end of the gym from where you walk in at) to see anything that says it’s the locker room. Overall, I like the equipment they have, like the saunas and red light therapy; but I really hate that I was lied to. I am still going to go because I paid for a year, but now I’m on the fence on whether or not I’m going to pay for another year after this one ends.

They make it impossible to cancel, you have to physically go in to be able to cancel. I emailed to cancel, my debit card expired and I didn’t update the payment info because I emailed them to cancel. I heard back and they said that they forwarded it to the proper people and that I’ll be hearing back. I didn’t get anything till months later and they were still charging. They sent an inaccurate amount to collections. I was a member for 5 years, paid the whole time during Covid when no one was using the gym due to no one following per cautions. I’ll take the hit on my credit report, because I know all of these bad reviews will add up and this gym will go belly up.

I initially called due to charges on my credit card that I didn't agree to in my contract. The manager stated that it was due to the monthly charge not going through the day before and that the company treats it like a bounced check. Xtra ($20) What? It's 2024. Other companies just cancel your membership or receive payment when it finally goes through. I asked him to cancel my membership cause most of the time their "Elite" ($34.00) product you pay for is out of service. He took it personal and started to talk over my voice until he hung the phone up on me. I made a drive out of my way to the gym to see this guy in person after that to ask if he canceled my membership cause he felt the need to hang the call up before finishing the conversation. Proceeds to tell me he hung up cause he's quitting in two days and doesn't care anymore about the job. I'm ok with dealing with a different type professionalism so I'll take my money elsewhere.

The gym is great. Has up-to-date functioning equipment clean and sterile. Love that it has a sauna. Love that it has a pool in the hot tub. Only Khan about this place is they will lie to you and tell you that you have to do an assessment and it's part of your membership sign up but they're actually tricking you into signing up for a personal trainer. That's the only downfall about this place.

I have some information that will make you very happy!!! I strongly recommend saving your money and avoiding this establishment. Their staff is consistently rude to members, and the management seems more focused on imposing unwarranted charges and canceling memberships without notice than on providing quality service or maintaining customer relationships and member retention.

This JCC is quick to take your money, but never wants to return it where it’s due. My multiple requests for a refund related to the Black Friday promotion from last year have gone completely unacknowledged. I was charged the full amount despite taking advantage of a deal that offered a significantly lower price, and I have yet to receive any response regarding this overcharge. I have called, left voicemails, sent emails, and even talked to employees. Additionally, after receiving a new credit card, I forgot to notify the JCC about the change, which resulted in a bounced monthly payment. I handled this promptly when I discovered that this happened. I was told one notice was mailed to me (which I never received, and not one other attempt via phone or email was made to notify me.) I even dropped my kids off to play basketball one day and unbeknownst to me they were told their memberships were terminated due to none payment - again no one notified me - my own children told me later that night after they got home. While I understand the importance of keeping payment information updated, I was charged both a bounce-back fee and an additional fee for it being before the end of our 12-month membership. Despite feeling these charges were excessive, I paid them. When handling this issue via phone I was told my account was due to auto renew for another year so I expressed my wishes to cancel our membership because we rarely used them. Days after I paid $130, I noticed a $75 early cancellation fee on my card. I was never informed during my call that canceling would incur additional costs, even after I explicitly asked if I would be subject to any further fees. I am frustrated and upset by how this situation has been handled. I genuinely want to support my community, but this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I strongly advise potential members to proceed with caution when considering a membership here, as my attempts to resolve these issues have been met with silence and very little empathy as I was told “well, we are a non profit…”. Again, they’re quick to take your money.

Seniors Beware of the trap. I was under the understanding that I could check out the workout classes. So I said alright. Then they told me what to eat. Now I donated my kidney to my brother and there's certain things like high protein diets are not good for one kidney. Now I told Corbin that my brother was having surgery and I am taking care of him. I'm not in the same state. So I couldn't do November and then the doctor told me I have to stay with him until at least December 30th. Corbin now wants paperwork from his doctor. First off, I'm retired so I feel I don't owe anyone for my whereabouts. Secondly he said they could freeze my account for December but not November. I have been here in Maryland since November 7th. He also stated I have to keep paying even though I only went 1time to training. I have a years agreement which I had ask to cancel my contact. YOU CAN'T GET OUT FOR A YEAR.

If you like getting roped into difficult to cancel predatory contracts PA Fitness is your company! They told me I had to send a certified letter to cancel my membership. Screw that, I just reported my credit card lost - they'll figure it out after awhile. They should be ashamed how they run their company but from what I hear all gyms are like this. Lesson learned - never sign up for a gym membership.

Really enjoyed this gym for its location, price, and convenience to much of what I need to get done. Was a member for nearly 3-4 years predominantly using a treadmill, bike, occasional lifting and was informed following a 30 min workout the prices were going up for 2nd time since joining. Truly frustrating being a loyal member of a business, paying on time each month only to be told by customer service upon cancellation that membership would end immediately at midnight and not even at the end of billing cycle as told by owner in conversation.

Summary: Above average gym; one of the better AFs [of the dozens I have visited]. Equipment - 5 stars - Above average selection (for AFs and gyms in general). Equipment is well placed, and they have a few items you do not see at most gyms. Atmosphere - 5 stars – Clean, quiet, but not silent, and very friendly. No negatives in my visits here to date. Facility - 4 stars - Not huge, but this is only a minor downside as this AF maintains a good use of space with well-spread lighting and present, but not overbearing acoustics. The building maintains consistent climate and offers a lot in the space it occupies. They provide ample signage, gym rules are clear, and weights of various bars are posted for convenience. Staff - 5 Stars - Not a training-focused gym, though they do offer personal, small group, yoga, etc.… When the staff is not training others or themselves, they can be found spotting Members, taking care of things as they go. 19 stars / 4 categories = 4.75 rounded to the nearest whole = 5 stars Disclaimer: I have been to dozens of AFs all over the country in recent years. This is one of the better I have been to, top 10 material, and absolutely one of the best gyms in my area overall, regardless of price.

Great gym. Lots of equipment, including dumbbell sets over 100 pounds and a deadlift platform. The facility itself is smaller, but everything is spaced well to allow you to workout without interrupting other people and they've added a few pieces of equipment over the last 10 months I've been a member. Everything is very clean, including the bathrooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I've used Anytime Fitness locations in Florida and New Mexico, in addition to this location, and this Anytime has a cleaner gym, more quality equipment, and a better staff than the others I have used.

I really really loved this gym, had it not been a tad too far for York traffic I would have been here opposed to other offerings in the area. NOTE: if you have eczema this gym has towelettes that don’t irritate my skin. Very hard to accomplish that alone, plus the gym is well maintained which helps.

Unfortunately, West York Crunch is highly neglected. It’s a mess all the time and very dirty. It seems that the staff don’t bother to clean up throughout the day or assist with organizing equipment, so it’s impossible to find things. I’ve witnessed PT staff working with their clients and leave the equipment out, which doesn’t help. Pictures below show the outdoor section on a very slow Wednesday night at 6p ( as witnessed by the lack of people in the photo). I will travel to the East York Crunch to avoid this spot. The only reason I come here is for some of the group fitness classes.

I’m deeply disappointed with my experience at this gym. Initially, the staff was friendly and welcoming, but that quickly changed. I signed up for personal training with the promise of a personalized meal plan, exercise plan, body 3D scan, and one session per week. Not only did I receive none of these things, but they were extremely quick to charge my bank account. I was assured I could cancel at any time, this turned out to be untrue. They are quick to want to charge their annual fee as well when you tell them that you want to cancel the membership, which the fee is outrageous. They repeatedly scheduled sessions without my consent during my work hours and even sent emails thanking me for completing sessions that I did not complete while I was at work. This behavior feels dishonest and borderline fraudulent. To make matters worse, the gym itself is in poor condition. Half of the machines are out of order, and the facility is extremely run-down. On two separate occasions, a male employee was working in the women’s bathroom fixing a shower without any signs or warnings. This is incredibly inappropriate and unsafe, especially in a gym where members often wear headphones and may not be aware of the situation until they walk in.

If I could give an 0 star review I would, as they don’t even deserve 1 star. Equipment is always broken. Annual fee is outrageous and a scam. Not worth it. Planet Fitness is better or honestly pretty much any other gym is better. Please see Troy’s review just under mine. They make it impossible to cancel and then want you to pay the annual fee when that was never disclosed. Very disappointing and I definitely do not recommend this gym to anyone. Also, tried.to open my membership agreement many times on my app to review for scam fees like this, but strangely it has never once opened for me.

I really like the gym and the atmosphere. I've been in about 5 gyms over the last 2 years and I'd say it's top tier for a commercial gym. The trainer there Demetre Forney is top notch aswell. We only had a brief session but even in a short amount of time he conveyed new info to me and form correction in a quick easy way. So far really enjoying it. Could use more cable attachments. But I also think it's definitely worth noting the mirrors were clean as heck which made me happy as most other gyms give little care to things like that for some reason.

If I could give a no star review, I absolutely would. I have been in Crunch before as a guest and it seemed great. So, I decided to join, and get their highest membership (mainly for the hydro massage tables.) After joining we ended up not being able to go as often as I would like due to work and a kid, so before my membership would renew I wanted to cancel. Here is where the one star review comes into play.... It is hard to physically make it into the location, so I called and asked if I could cancel over the phone, the woman whispered something then stated I have to call this phone number, so I called. Upon calling I was informed there is a 30 day process to cancel a membership? And any fees in between there are needed to be paid for upfront to even START the cancellation "process?" So here I am out roughly $100.00 to cancel a membership, because my annual fee happened to be in that 30 day cancellation process, none of which was mentioned to me when signing up that this was how their system worked (or I never would have signed up.) I would stay away unless you know for sure you are in it for the long haul, and you understand cancellation and fee policies. I see that there are very generic responses to anything remotely negative about the gym (and I understand because I work customer service) but there seems to be zero attempt to make anything right, so I do not expect a response. This is more of a warning to other potential Crunch guests. Seriously though, come on Crunch, your gym is great, you don't need to try this hard to stop people from leaving by charging ridiculous amounts and jumping through hoops to cancel a membership, especially when your website claims NO month to month commitment. That statement feels false when I had to commit $100 to stop a membership. **Update as of 7/30/2024 Manager responded to my post asking me to reach out at the email provided, which I did. I responded on 7/20/2024 and have not had a response yet (as I predicted in the original review.) Do not waste your time responding if they ask you to, as they cannot take time to look into little issues that their customers are having, that could easily be resolved by having active management.

On the positive side, It is a decent value, reasonably clean for the high volume. On the negative side you have to provide your bank account data for the annual fee! No reputable company should require your bank info! Also, beware: Based on policy: They let men in women’s locker rooms.

Be very careful about signing up for a membership here. They apparently outsource their billing operations to ABC Fitness Solutions, and that company will charge you exorbitant “late” fees on top of membership fees. I’ve been disputing charges now for two months. I canceled my membership at my home gym, and provided proof of cancellation to ABC Fitness Solutions. But they continue to bill my account, and deferring me to cancel at this gym, even though I already canceled. Planet Fitness support has not responded. Neither has management from any gym. At this point, it feels like outright fraud.

My wife just joined a few months ago along with an adult with disabilities that we are caretakers for. The equipment is great, the staff are great. She’s been enjoying it. HOWEVER the credit card we have on file is fine and in good standing, but we were charged a late fee $15 on the adult with disabilities account! No one could solve it. The credit card is fine. The monthly charge was processed, but there is a backend processing delay on planet fitness - and we were charged. There is no phone number to call. No one at the desk can help. Now we have to cancel our membership. What is wrong with you????

Not my favorite gym. It's pretty dirty with hair and dust all over the floor every time I go. The staff do not keep the paper towels and spray filled, and they do not enforce the rules in the circuit area even when asked. Update - They did a small remodel and have definitely abandoned their original strategy in favor of the gym bros. They took out the equipment that was easy to use and setup for regular people to get into a routine and added more weight equipment for the gym bros.
