As I stand here waiting for the leg press machine that someone has been on for an hour, I figured why not give a review. Staff churn is impressive here. It's like no one can figure out, "Take care of the customer." It's $25 a month. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't the only reasonable offer in the area. And yes, the machine is still taken.

Can't beat the price. I have a membership at 24 hrs fitness also, and the machines here are kept in much better condition and the gym is way cleaner than 24. The only problem I have is they play the music WAY too loud. I can never listen to my own music. I'm sure these irks everyone else because 85 pct of gym members wear headphones and the music is blasting. That's the only thing g 24 has over them. 24 never plays their music loud. It's always discreetly in the background.

The only pro is the gym is convenient since its on the way to work. Staff is rude. They have rules about not leaving stuff on the floor but do not say anything about people with tripods on the gym floor.

I have been coming to this gym for years and I have never seen such bad service as that of the new manager, terrible experience, nothing to do with the managers and staff they had before, they were always smiling and had exceptional energy, now when you enter this gym, it doesn't even seem like there is someone there to assist you or the manager greets you with the worst face. I’m still coming to this location because is close to me, but it’s really bad. No stars ⭐️

A lot going on, the air was not working. They were under staff. The bathroom was not clean.

I love coming to this gym.It help me to get in good shape.I have my own gym at home but I coming here to challenge myself physically.Not only I’m working out on myself physical health.I’m working on my mental health and building up my confidence stepping out of my comfort zone.This is my therapy place and my after hours where I come here after work or When I get out of the house.Wherever I have a bad day or what’s bothering me I come here and I put all my emotions into my workout.I am a friendly kind nice person.I like meeting people and showing them respect in here.

I love this location . I like that they have a movie room to work out in, i love the sauna and the women's workout area. I take my son here also because they have a cool kids area that includes tablets for them to play on, a movie room and other activities. Great workout place

This gym was a huge disappointment. (Only came because EOS was overly crowded)The customer service is absolutely terrible. No one was welcoming or helpful during the sign-up process, and I wasn’t even offered a tour of the facility. To make matters worse, the equipment is extremely old, poorly maintained, and often left scattered around in the wrong spots. It’s clear no one bothers to clean or organize the gym, which is both unprofessional and unhygienic. I expected much better for the price and will definitely not be returning.

Not sure who the person in charge was tonight, but coming on the intercom every 15 mins to remind us how much time we have left and then claiming to be closed at 9:55pm when people were clearly still finishing their workouts is extremely unprofessional. We all have jobs we don’t want to be at and homes to get to, but being incessantly annoying by raising the music and playing loud noises for the last 5 mins before closing was genuinely so unnecessary. In the beginning of the video you can hear him say “pa que se vayan” which means “so they can leave.” We all pay for service from 5am-10pm on weekdays. If you don’t like being in charge till 10pm, maybe it’s time to find a 9-5. This isn’t the first time they close early or open late. Please do better.

Great customer service from Ever R. And with the help of Isaiah they really give the personal touch. You feel very welcomed and highly recommended it above Planet fitness!!!

Went all the way here to discover this is NOT a public access gym. It's for programs only and is inside a school parking lot. Wasn't described on the website.

Only been to gym area it's decent inside but the area outside needs some upgrade community wise

He is the best trainer ever you should go to him he will get you right and in shape he’ll teach you discipline and more im 12 years old and sometimes it’s hard I cry but it’s worth it because when I get on the football field I’m always the best and that’s because of Justin Allen

I just started training here and I feel like its my home on my first day. This is the best gym in Houston. I’ve been and worked at so many gyms in Houston and know so many owners but almost nobody is as passionate about what they do then the owner of this gym, so he makes sure everything is on point and the right way. And Katie is soooo nice she always makes sure your taken care of. If you need a gym to train or work in in HOUSTON this is IT! Hands down!

Love this spot. Jess is a phenomenal Hip Hop/ Trap step instructor. Check her out on Mandatory Mondays and Fridays. The class is 10 dollars. You won't be disappointed.

This place is high energy but well focused on the specific needs of the athletes training there. Justin is experienced and knowledgeable. He keeps the body mechanics mindful to reduce the chance for injury while building up strength and speed.

Justin Allen is the best footwork trainer in Houston! His training transcends all sports! If you're looking to Excell at your sport, then you are at the right place!

I’ve always been a fan of doing my own routine and never really liked crowds working out however this location is one of the most comfortable gyms I’ve been to in a long time. The community is welcoming and I’ve grown to have a gym family here. The staff here are some of the coolest trainers I’ve met also. When I needed a little help on my form I was lucky enough to get the BEST assistance from Helan. She’s full of knowledge very encouraging. Seems like she’s able to help anybody at any level. If you’re thinking of getting a membership here, DO IT.

The equipment is clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of machines and free weights. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, especially Allen and Helan. They are always welcoming to everyone. The atmosphere is energetic but not overwhelming, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced lifters. If you’re looking for a gym that’s clean, welcoming, and well-equipped, this is the place to be! Highly recommend!

The staff is friendly & helpful, and the environment is always clean .However, the standout is definitely Leo at the front! I’ve never encountered such an amazing employee. He always greets me with a welcoming attitude every time I come in. I’ll definitely continue coming to this gym!

Helan is great at getting you familiar with the gym and setting a standard workout routine. Also, she’s always with a great attitude vibrant demeanor that makes one feel like you can ask about anything the gym without insecurities. She a great staff member/trainer

The gym is not that bad. They still need to work in maintaining the equipment updated and clean though. My window was broken yesterday around 5:00 PM. Poor security in that place, the gym seems to be careless about those issues and do nothing about it. I recommend all people looking for a gym in 2025 to consider other options that offer better customer service, security in the parking lots and better equipment.

I have to say, this is a bit different than all of the other locations. Gym is pretty dated, but all of the equipment works, if there are tears or wear marks, they are still manageable. Tile in the bathroom is very dated and grout is dicolored/stained, but everything is ckeaned very well. They have new shower curtains, shower gel is filled up, toilets and sinks are clean, paper towels in existence. Really have to give it up to the management on the maintenance side of things. This does have a higher percentage of elderly working out at this facility, so it gets busy even during the slower hours. Minimal to no thefts in the parkinglot. Great location if you are nearby!

I usually to other LA Fitness but the pool is under renovation and I had to go to this location and I have to say it's better than the other one. It's not perfect but it's better. You have a gym, a pool, a racket ball, and a sauna. It gets a little crowded but overall it's a good fitness place.

Do you know why is McDonald's is successful? BECAUSE they have consistency..everywhere you go it's the same Period...one gym has towels, one gym has Sauna working, one gym has drinks but not All the same...this is NOT consistency..I am so close to dropping the membership..

This gym is pretty well kept and clean. I came in this morning and got in a pretty good workout. The layout was a bit different from some of the other LAs around the area. Staff at the front desk was very friendly when I walked in.

Misfit Social Club Gym is a hidden gem in Houston for anyone serious about their workouts. The atmosphere here is straight to the point—no fluff, just real grind vibes. Everyone here comes to work, and you can feel the energy. Having been to many gyms across the city, I’ve found that a lot of places focus too much on being photo-op spots for content creators. While that’s great for some, it can be overwhelming and overstimulating for those who just want to focus. Misfit is the opposite—raw, real, and perfect for locking in and getting an effective workout. I’ve been using their daily passes for a while, but I’m strongly considering switching to a membership since I keep coming back. The owners are super friendly, and the variety of machines is impressive. They even have niche equipment, a dedicated posing room, a few cardio machines, and a garage door that opens on good weather days, which is such a nice touch. If you’re looking for a place to focus and truly get in the zone without distractions, Misfit Social Club Gym is the place to be. Highly recommend it!

The best gym I’ve ever been to. So happy they opened up! All the equipment is amazing and the aesthetics are absolutely sick. Owners and everyone who works there are super nice & so helpful. I would highly highly recommend this gym to anyone & everyone. 💯

This gym here is the one to come to in Houston!!! All of the equipment is top notch and they have everything you need. Definitely underrated check them out they will exceed your expectations.

Update (Sept 2024) Ghetto! NO PAPER TOWELS AT ALL what a surprise. ANYWHERE, NOT NEXT TO MIRRORS, NOT NEXT TO TOILETS, NADA, ZERO. Spent 2 1/2 hours there and went back to restroom and nothing. See photos I pay 2 memberships here for years and there's no soap for days, the paper towel dispensers are horrible, either you have to fight it to give you the paper or there's no paper. The water fountain tastes bad and water comes out warm. If you have so many people going why not improve and invest on the customers that are making you rich???

Amazing customer service, I’m recently new to the area so I’ve been looking for a gym that best fits me. From the time I walked in I was greeted and felt welcomed. Julian helped me out, showed me around the gym and answered all of my questions- plus they have really great rates. The machines were clean and people were friendly. Loved it! 100% recommend.

Ive been to a plethora of clubs and this one in particular im proud to call my home. I attribute this to the trailblazing service and commitment to the clients. Bottom line. And at the head of the charge is an outstanding young man named Julian. Not only did he make me feel welcomed day in and day out, he was able to answer all my questions and even gave me sound advice on how to achieve my fitness goals. As a business owner I can definitely see him having his own club with like minded individuals on his roster dedicated to making sure you get the most out of your LA Fitness experience. 11/10

I had the pleasure of working with Julian, and I can't say enough positive things about the experience. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about creating a welcoming, motivating environment for all members. Julian goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels supported, whether it's providing expert advice, offering personalized recommendations, or simply taking the time to check in with members.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I started training and with my first trainer was told that because I wasn’t paying for more than one day a week that I wasn’t his priority. He then proceeded to cancel on me for three weeks straight until I was charged again and many sessions behind. I requested a new trainer and was placed with their newest hire. She was good but the sessions were all of a sudden cut in half? Still unsure about that one but anyway, on my third week with her I was told I was being moved to another trainer because she was no longer available. I then asked to freeze my membership. I am a single mom with two kids and two jobs and didn’t have time to make up the missed sessions and getting charged was getting expensive with nothing to show for it. They said that they would freeze it. They didn’t. And I was told that I could just let it go. And it wouldn’t hit my credit if I just changed bank accounts. No refund on services not rendered. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Now I’m several sessions behind making payments when I don’t even have a trainer assigned to me. They just steal your money and they are mismanaged by someone named John who is the regional manager. You will never see his face but his lack of doing his job was the reason I was still charged after freezing. I was planning on finishing my contract but after his lack of interaction. I will not be giving anymore money to a company that operates this way.
