This place is amazing - they love kids, they care about kids, they want to make a safe and wholesome space where the kids feel welcomed. The people who work here are saints. They try so hard and they care so much. And there’s so much for the kids to do!

We have loved Rise Warehouse for our theater classes! This is a community that we depended on and loved being a part of. My daughter loved each performance and there was the perfect amount of teaching and FUN! The teachers are professional and we have seen a big improvement in her skills. Most of all our daughter has made friends and enjoyed every minute spent practicing with group. We have loved seeing these kids grow up!

This is my first year at RISE and my daughter loves it! She is involved in the Musical Theater classes there and wants to be in every show. Roe has opened up her eyes to another world and she is not leaving anytime soon. They involve a lot of the parents to help with costumes and sets which I find fun. Facility is very nice and I feel my child is very safe there. RISE is about to take over Houston!

We have done summer camps all over spring branch the last few years and this one was by far the BEST so far! The staff was young and energetic. The facility is clean and the activities ranged from splash day, parkour, dance, and cool crafts. Each day kiddies came home and said they had GREAT day at camp. They even put together a video production at the end to share with families on the dance they learned that week. Wow! Thanks RISE!!!

Top notch gymnastics program! My daughter attended RISE for her last year of gymnastics. The facility and staff are AMAZING. I have had positive, negative, and everything in between experiences over the past 11 years at multiple gyms. I encountered nothing but POSITIVE at RISE. My daughter excelled, she loved the environment as well as her coaches. From the parent perspective, I knew my daughter was safe and well cared for. They REALLY take into account the athlete as an entire being, not just a "gymnast". I hate that I found this place so late in our journey. If you are looking for gymnastics or any of their many other programs, do hesitate as I'm sure you will not be disappointed!!!

We sent my son here for one of their week-long camps and we were so happy with it. Our son had fun every day, the other kids were so sweet and caring and the coaches were great at keeping the kids in-line and entertained. But the real kicker for me was that one day at pickup, I witnessed a kid having a really hard time - he was extremely frustrated and was having a difficult time listening to directions. The way the staff handled this kid and tried to remedy the situation for everyone really underlined how much they cared. We'll be back for some summer camps!

This is the best gym I have ever been to. I mean it’s so clean, everything you need is there, and it pays for itself. I love the sauna & steam rooms! The basketball courts are so clean, and are some fun runs. There are so many squat racks, and tons of equipment to choose from! The pool on the roof is the icing on the cake. Sometimes I just go out and sit there and just enjoy the beautiful weather up there, and a Houston sunset up there is so great! I love coming here!

If you’re looking for a huge gym that has a whole lot of equipment, this is it. Too bad that they can’t make repairs in a timely way. And equipment is filthy from morning till night. Black stretch mats are dirty, just look at the towel that was used to wipe before use. Never have ever seen them cleaning. Clean gyms have crews moving from piece to piece of equipment while you work out. Just visit any Planet Fitness to see how cleaning can be done. Moldy AC vents. Wish there were other options in the area.

Lifetime has trainers that bring LOUD boomboxes onto the weight floor which, put the decibel level over 90 -- high enough to cause hearing loss. I recommend bose earbuds -- their noise cancelling's the best. Also the clientele is not what you would consider professional, so even with earbuds you're not missing anything. Gym is huge but locker room is dinky, making it up close and personal for a supposedly premium facility. The outdoor pool (no indoor unfortunately) is both heated and chilled, but recently they haven't kept the temp at 80, so I may have to cancel. I hear parking has become a problem on weekends. Cleanliness is good and equipment is well maintained.

Been utilizing this gym for about 2 years. Great facilities , amenities, events, and staff. The community of gym goers is worth noting as well. Machines are maintained and repaired very timely, and rarely too overcrowded to get in a good workout. It is expensive compared to your typical gym which would be the major drawback.

Agree with comments about poor HVAC system and low caliber of many members especially those of us paying $280/ month who expect a nicer experience. Looking for another gym due to overcrowding and many low class no manners people - swarmed with those getting in via BCBS TX for 100/month. Parking getting in and out during peak times add 20 mins that I don't have to waste.

KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I signed my son up to participate in the YMCA’s youth basketball league. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. At this particular location, nothing is organized. The first day of practice no one knew who was coaching the team and practice got rescheduled. At the first game, the coached never showed forcing someone else to step in who had no knowledge of the players. The receptionist at the front desk never knew what was going on at the facility and communicated incorrect information. Save your money and save your time. It’s not worth the headache. Update: All in all I have since seen improvement at this location. Still not perfect but they are making strides.

When did the YMCA start being closed on Sundays? They charge $60 for a membership to be closed on Sundays? I’m disappointed! I’m not gone lie, I’m pissed! The group exercise classes are made for elderly people because they are very low impact. They also used to have a teen camp here during the summers that they no longer have. Why are yal closed on Sundays?!

The gym is not what it used to be the prices of increased. I’ve been going there for about four years and I’ve watched the quality of the gym decline from them being unable to pay out any of their personal trainers properly so any personal trainer you get will probably only last for a few months, and now the increase the membership prices without giving any benefits for such increase. As a workout streamer, I am heavily disappointed in this. I met some of my best friends in there and all have left to the LA fitness nearby.

Don’t listen to all the bad reviews, been coming here for about 2 years & love it. This location is typically clean & things are organized. The people usually have great gym etiquette which is awesome. The gym is always clean when I go & the front desk people are nice & welcoming. This is such a great affordable gym, has everything a beginner-intermediate gym goer needs

The most important thing is have the gym open on time. It happens way too often when they don’t open the gym on time. People are waiting outside and sometimes employees don’t come till 15-20 min later maybe more. If you are not an early riser to hit the gym before the crowd, then this is the gym for you.

Oh my God, I am absolutely in love with Trotter Family YMCA! I came here with a friend for the first time to play pickleball, and it instantly won me over. They have a dedicated court setup in one of the gym rooms, and the layout is fantastic. The lines are clearly marked, and it doesn’t overlap with any other courts, so it feels private with ample space to move around. There’s only one court in this section, making it the perfect setup for a focused game. They even offer a second court option for pickleball on Sundays by converting part of the basketball court. With a divider screen in place, one side can be used for basketball while the other hosts pickleball, allowing everyone to play without disruption. The entire facility is clean and impressively well-organized, with amenities for everyone. There’s a swimming pool and numerous rooms dedicated to classes like Pilates, yoga, spinning, and racquetball. The regular gym section is stocked with the latest equipment, making workouts even more enjoyable. The staff here is attentive and super friendly, enhancing the experience. The Trotter Family YMCA truly captures the charm of a well-designed, community-centered facility. Highly recommended!

The building is very old and sometimes feels too warm during the summer. There are no workout or lockeroom towels and you must bring your own lock. I found some nasty toe nail clippings in the men's locker room as I was changing before my workout. And finally, after I canceled my membership, I was still being charged for several months and wasn't refunded. I don't recommend this gym to any working professionals in the area.

I love this fitness center! I switch from 24 hour fitness to here and never looked back! Their pool is heated and their changing rooms are kept clean! They also have zero flooding damage on the ceiling tiles which is impressive for a building that is over 20 years old unlike other newer fitness centers in the galleria. My favorite thing about this fitness center is the fact that the patrons don’t treat this place like it is a speed dating event so that I don’t have to spend my entire working out routine declining coffee and tea dating invitations. Did I mentioned I love their pool already! I love their pool! I recently went to the doctor and they told me I’m prone to osteoporosis and that I have tendon loss on one of my knees likely from the years of running track since high school so swimming here has become a better alternative to costly knee surgery. Would be cool if they had one of them climbing walls machines where the wall drops as you try to climb it but I’m not complaining. I just walk from home 1.5 miles just to weight lift and swim daily then walk back another 1.5 miles. I only get bum out when there is bad weather bc I can’t swim and doing out of the water workouts isn’t as much fun as actually swimming.

I like this location because of the racquetball court and the staff is friendly Today, 12/28/2024, I was playing with a friend and slipped multiple times from something that was not cleaned up all the way, I let the guy who checks people in, he tells me he used the room earlier and slipped as well. He said the cleaning people would take care of it overnight so anyone playing today: Please be careful in racquetball court #2

Child care program sucks. Be aware you have to terminate your account 10 days before the end of the month. If not these a holes are going try to take your money for the following month. I think they are rude and inconsiderate and prey on anyones ignorance on their small print contracts. It does by matter if you were there on the low income membership, they don’t care about you.

Shout out to Brice/Bryce and the Perry Family YMCA. This place is incredible. Thanks for loving your neighbor and doing the best job possible to keep your gym safe during the pandemic. Everything was thought out from the reservation system, temperature checks, and the clean cards on each machine. All staff were wearing a mask, and at least 2 people cleaning machines. Bryce was even cleaning the step up on the machines! He was kind and courteous. Thanks for a clear vision Perry Famy YMCA

Charing the same price but limited hours, limited equipment, limited facilities, and some things aren't even open. Also you have to reserve like everything? It's a pool filled with chlorine but you still have to reserve? They are only open for 4 hrs on the weekend too. How are they still charging near full price for membership? I will stick with the alternative gym I found when they shut down and then refused to give updates on when they were opening for 6 months and continued to charge their members.

The gym is nice bout the only thing that I don’t like a group a people make a lot of at the Gym. You can’t even concentrate to work out. That is not good. They need to do better. The manager to say something . I’ll talk to someone in the front desk and they didn’t did anything . I don’t go to the gym to hear all the noise

I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your Houston, TX location at 9603 Westheimer Rd. As a paying member of LA Fitness, I expect to have access to the equipment and facilities provided at all locations. However, I was informed by the staff at this location that the smaller weight dumbbells (2.5 to 10 pounds) are locked away and designated solely for the Silver Sneakers class. As someone who incorporates these weights into my workouts, I find it frustrating and unreasonable that I am denied access to equipment I am entitled to use as part of my membership. Furthermore, the lack of 10-pound dumbbells in the general weight area exacerbates the issue. When I raised this concern with the manager, Hector, I found his behavior unprofessional. He repeatedly spoke over me and did not allow me to fully explain my concerns, which left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. I have chosen LA Fitness for its reputed facilities and flexibility, as I travel frequently for work. Experiences like this make me question the value of my membership.

I’ve been going to this gym for the past 10 months. I really enjoy the people and atmosphere. The workout equipment (strength training machines, rowing machine and stair master) work well for my needs. The basketball court is a great plus. It’s cost effective and I live close by, so this is a great gym for me. I joined this gym as an additional option to Planet Fitness, hoping for a convenient location closer to home. While the staff is friendly enough, the facilities leave much to be desired. The equipment feels outdated, as though it hasn’t been upgraded since the 1990s. Compared to other gyms like Planet Fitness or Gold’s Gym, I’d be willing to pay a bit more for modern fitness equipment and a better overall experience. Unfortunately, the men’s locker room is especially disappointing—it’s poorly maintained, has an unpleasant smell, and could use serious attention.
