My experience renting space for a gym birthday party was not good. We were told that we were only allowed to have a classroom space for one hour and then we could have the gym for the hour after that. I asked to have the gym first and then the classroom and was told no. We had to clean up and vacate the classroom before the gym was available to us. We were also told that we would have a party leader, but they called in sick the day before the party and we were left with just 24 hours notice of the change and given a mere $30 discount (from an initial total of $270). I also asked if we could have a banner provided. Since I was now running the party myself, I asked again if we could have the gym space before the classroom and was again told no. On the day of the party, there was no banner and the classroom was definitely the most dungeon-like one in the building. The gym space was not in use during the time we were in the classroom and the classroom was not in use during the time we were in the gym. So it could have been switched, they just chose to be inflexible even though I was now directing the party. Interestingly enough, there was another birthday party going on as we were leaving that was using a bright, welcoming classroom space. There were parents and kids in both the classroom and the gym space at the same time. Obviously, I won't be choosing Conestoga for a party space again.

We went to workout. We usually go to Cedar Hills. The weight section is in too narrow an area for anyone serious about weights. Cedar Hills has a decent weight room. Absolutely no one smiled or seemed happy. Cedar Hills people talk, know each other, it's a lighter atmosphere. Sorry. Don't usually give negatives.

Attended big truck day today an annual event from THPRD at Conestoga Rec center. Busy but always an amazing time especially for those, big and small, that Luke to see inside vehicles of all kinds AND be able to ask the operators of those vehicles what they do and how they work.

Love this place. Lost a star because it's expensive. I guess the best thing to do here is to work here (even part time as an instructor once a week or two) to get the free membership. Best deal is the year membership. I mostly use the weight room but have swam and played basketball too. Sometimes they have cool activities happening. The weight room is great, not too many people probably because of the above paragraph. Wish they had a tricep machine. But they just got some new machines and replaced old stuff so it's nice that they are keeping up with things

We are so lucky to have this center in our community! The pool and splash pad are awesome for kids, and you can’t find a gym with classes for a more affordable price.
