I've been practicing for a couple of months at YogaFactory, and I think it is one of the best yoga I've ever tried. Not only the fact that I love the technique and the method they apply, but also the teachers who teach it. All the teachers I have taken classes with have a very particular style of teaching and are very detailed. You learn a lot from all of them. I appreciate the time that they take to make personal corrections, totally grateful to this school. Highly Recommended.

This was my first hot yoga studio, and I’ve learned so much from the instructors here. The classes are disciplined, which has personally helped me push myself further than I thought possible. The bright lighting is a nice touch, as it makes it easier to see yourself and make adjustments during practice. While classes can get busy, the studio does a fantastic job accommodating everyone. I really appreciate the personalized callouts and corrections; they’ve been invaluable in improving my practice and getting the most out of each session. One highlight was attending a silent candlelit class on New Year’s Eve (also my birthday!). Angeline, my favorite instructor, gave me a thoughtful shoutout, which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to take their yoga practice seriously—it’s an incredible place to grow and improve!

I’ve been going to YF in Lawrenceville and their Squirrel Hill location since January. I was 100% brand new to hot yoga and hadn’t done yoga in like 15 years. I went in by myself that first time and they were super friendly, warm, and welcoming in a genuine way. And they are that way with everyone—old and new folks. If you don’t have a yoga mat or towel for your mat you can rent them there for cheap. They have great pricing for your first month, and then if you find yourself going 2 or more times a week (I now go 3-4 times) to either location the limitless membership is a great deal. In the classes are people of all ages, shapes, and skill level. The women in the locker room have also been very friendly and positive. Give it a try!

They’re okay. The classes are fine, most of the teachers are alright but if you have a problem or are looking for a friendly community don’t expect much. Like most places, if you have an invisible disability or are neurodivergent you’re going to have a harder time fitting in and they’re not super receptive to changing or improving their processes and instructions to be more inclusive. If you go in, do your thing and take the studio with a grain of salt you will have fun but if you are looking for a place you feel really seen and included you might be disappointed.

My favorite yoga studio in Pittsburgh when I moved there. The teachers are gentle and compassionate. The studio has variety in classes, has good vibes and it’s clean. Going to classes regularly for hatha style yoga here helped my chronic pain, various auto immune disorders and helped calm my nervous calm. Highly recommended.

Sneha collective feels like an all inclusive, healing and happy space. I had the best peaceful yoga class with Devon Anderson and purchased an amazingly aromatic essential oil from the front desk. The entire experience made me feel so comfortable and at home. The space is beautiful. I can't wait to go back!

I had a wonderful experience with Diane and would highly recommend her massage services to anyone interested. From the start, Diane was friendly and attentive. She asked detailed questions and would check in with me during the massage to ensure the pressure was correct. I felt great afterwards with noticeable relief in my back and left shoulder. She also found my earring I had lost after my appointment, which I am extremely grateful for!

The owner Annie is wonderful. This has to be the best Hot Yoga studio in Pittsburgh. Doesn’t get any better. The heat is perfect in a beautiful studio. I’m hooked. I’m a member for life. I recently joined Pure Power Yoga Studio at the advice of a friend and it has been an amazing addition to my weekly schedule and a refreshing challenge for me. Over the past 12 months my girlfriend and I have been jumping around yoga studios since COVID-19 closed our home base and we have not found anywhere as warm, welcoming and challenging as Pure Power. Annie is a master in her craft and the classes are incredible. If I lived closer to the studio I would be a 3-4 class per week customer. I also had the chance to join Annie & a small group of the Pure Power community on the recent retreat to Tulum and had an incredible time practicing twice daily and enjoying the beach & surrounding areas. 5+ stars for this studio - highly recommend.

I absolutely love The Om Lounge! They provide complimentary water and tea, which is a nice touch before or after a relaxing session. The waiting room is stunning—beautifully designed and filled with sunlight, making it a perfect place to unwind before class. They also have a great sales rack with a variety of yoga gear and apparel, and if you ever forget your own equipment, they have mats and blocks available to borrow. The instructors here are truly amazing—knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about yoga. If you’re looking for a welcoming and serene place to practice yoga, The Om Lounge is the perfect spot!

I have been an on and off patron for many years. I have always loved this studio. However today I had a very bad experience with the owner Patti. I misread the schedule so I showed up for a community yoga class when there was not one scheduled. I must have walked in on a private teacher training by mistake. The owner came out and said “are you supposed to be here?”. I said I am sorry I must have missed the schedule. She replied the community yoga says TBA on the website. Honestly she was borerline hostile. I felt totally ashamed for making a mistake. I will absolutely never visit this studio again! Patti you really need to treat your customers with more respect and decency.

Om Lounge is exactly what Pittsburgh needed!! Unique, challenging and fun flows without excessive heat! They have assembled a killer group of instructors who are passionate about yoga and go the extra mile to ensure the classes honor the spirituality of the practice while still being physically challenging. It’s the perfect balance of everything a yoga studio should be. Oh, and great music too! I cannot recommend this studio highly enough!

This studio is wonderful. There are so many great teachers and a variety of classes available – I’ve been going to Om for a few months and I am still finding new teachers, learning new poses and postures, and enjoying every minute of it. This is what yoga is all about. I’ve tried a few other Pittsburgh studios before finding Om and everything about this place is such a breath of fresh air. They offer a lot of classes throughout the week – something for everyone - and offer special workshops on occasion. The space is clean, cozy, and radiates positive energy. This studio definitely feeds my soul and kick my butt every time.

There is a great selection and frequency of classes at the Yoga Hive. All instructors vary in teaching style, but are highly (anatomically and philosophically) knowledgeable. While they pride themselves on being a community -- they are not exclusive or clique-y; I always feel welcome and l know that others have come in as beginners or new students and enjoyed their experience. They are a little strict on expirations of classes, but they are straightforward with their policies: If you purchase a class pass, the Hive sends out a reminder e-mail before your expiration, and if you happen to expire before using all of your passes, they send a e-mail for a discounted future package (time-sensitive) to make up for it. It is not a close-to-home studio for me, but it is absolutely worth the travel and by far, one of the best studios/collection of instructors I have tried.

The Yoga Hive is the best! Kimberly and the instructors do a wonderful job at establishing a community, and the amazing community that they've built has been particularly evident as we've all navigated the COVID-19 crisis. The support that the instructors and other students have offered each other via Zoom classes make it clear to me how much we all value the space, the non-judgmental practice, and the ability to practice with each other. Overall, I love the studio because the teachers are thoughtful - challenging without being overbearing, supportive, and constantly emphasizing the importance of making your practice something that works for you. They offer a variety of class times and styles; the space itself is beautiful; and the studio is welcoming to yogis at every experience level. I highly recommend!

This studio is great, as is the sister studio in Peters Twp. They have heated and non-heated yoga, and you can bring your teen (12-15) with you to the non-heated classes. The instructors are awesome...very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming, and down to earth. The power flow classes are definitely challenging, but there is also a restorative yoga option, and the Peters Twp. studio has 2 mornings of non-heated, gentle flow.

My daughter and I stopped by to ask questions since we are beginners. In addition she is pregnant so we wanted to do this together! The young lady that greeted us was not friendly she was fake and gave us a brochure to read! We asked if we could watch and she instantly said no and then ushered us out since she had a class and closed the door behind us! We did not feel welcome at all and will be looking for somewhere more diverse!

This is one of my favorite hot yoga studios in the US. Amazing teachers, beautiful yoga room, perfect humidity and heat in the sun room(Lawrenceville), clean and spacious locker rooms with showers, and the best part, they offer multiple 90 minute 26&2(Bikram) classes. I actually drive over an hour to get to Yoga Factory Pittsburgh, from Indiana and/or Somerset counties. I’ve been practicing 26&2(Bikram) since 1997, and have been to numerous hot yoga studios, in numerous states, and on three different continents. The Lawrenceville location is truly a special place.

I have been going to this yoga studio for at least ten years. The teachers are skilled and very knowledgeable. It is an extremely welcoming environment for the beginner and the seasoned student. The studio is beautiful and well-equipped with all you need for the Iyengar method. I have seen remarkable change in students' general health on many occasions. Everyone is welcome. It's almost like a second home where one can anticipate peace, acceptance, and skill growth at the level you find comfortable. So grateful I landed here way back when.

Because I am over 60, I take supported yoga when I can. The instructors are so kind, caring & patient! I got a great work out there and felt welcome. Unfortunately it's a bit of a drive for me and life got in the way. I would love to start back, but need to find a good time that fits my schedule. Compared to other studios, Yoga on Centre is affordable and worth the effort!

If you're a beginner, the teachers at Yoga on Centre will get your yoga practice off to a great start with their focus on your alignment and your understanding of the relationship between your body, your mind and the yoga postures. If you are more established in your practice and, like me, have picked up some bad habits from other teachers or you have some deep blockages and misunderstandings that are impeding your progress but you can't seem to get past, the teachers can help you identify these issues and unlock them. I had a consistent practice for about 5 years before going to Yoga on Centre and considered myself a serious student, but after 2 years I have come face to face with very deep issues where previously I had only empty space. My awareness and ability have grown through the unique insight and instruction compassionately shared by each teacher at Yoga on Centre. Highly recommended!

The Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh is one of the few studios continuing to offer high quality yoga instruction on a daily basis. In spite of covid-19, IYIP has moved to a online streaming model which is easy to use - 24 hour class passes are available, which allow students to take as many classes as they wish during that 24 hour time period (about 2-3 classes offered per day, depending on the schedule). Since these yoga classes are streamed, I have been able to communicate my personal needs to my yoga teachers, such as if I have an injury and need modifications for the class that day. I am also able to get feedback from my teachers if I have any questions about the practice. Words cannot describe how much I appreciate the work that is done at Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh. All of the teachers are extremely knowledgeable in yoga. They specialize in differentiating class for students with a wide variety of needs. If you are hesitant about starting or continuing your yoga practice from home, this is a great place to start. Contact Sara if you have questions!

I've recently turned to yoga at the advice of my chiropractor. I have absolutely zero previous experience, so I decided to join a yoga studio that had a special introductory offer for new people. The plan was to start with yoga for beginners, but this class ended with us doing shoulder stands on day 1. I did not go back to that studio and researched other studios in the area, that's how I found Yoga on Centre. I am primarily drawn to the studio's mission statement and its focus on a more holistic approach to yoga that incorporates breathing techniques and addressing each student's individual needs and abilities. I strongly recommend this studio and its yoga teachers for those of us who've experienced chronic physical pain.

I have dabbled with yoga on my own with the aid of DVDs and YouTube videos. My experience was that I did not know enough to practice poses safely or to grow more mature in a yoga practice alone. So, I decided to find a personal yoga instructor. Mark is phenomenal ! My first session was spent getting to know me and my expectations. Mark spent time explaing yoga basics and what to expect in the upcoming sessions. Each session, 3 so far, inclided review of poses learned in earlier ssessions and learning 2 to 3 new poses. Mark takes my physical limitations, for example: weak upper body and limited fleflexibility, into consideration and adapts a pose OR shows me how to perform the pose in mini steps until I gain sufficient strength. I enjoy working with Mark and plan to continue to seek his advice as I advance in yoga. David

I experienced a class with Nacol Sharkins that was the best yoga class of any form of yoga which I have experienced in the 25 years in which I have been doing yoga. It was cleansing and invigorating; relaxing and inspiring. Her ability to bring her considerable musical talent into the yoga studio and meld it with the breathing and meditation made this something unique. I have been interested in getting into a yoga practice, but to be completely honest, have been turned off at a couple of local studios where everyone already felt advanced and the instructors didn’t feel especially interested in helping beginners get off the ground. This time I arrived with the added challenge of being a few months into recovery from a major accident, yet wanting to challenge myself. This is hands-down the most welcoming yoga studio I have visited to date. Stephanie took the time to show me around, from the prop room, with explanations of how each could help during class, to a relaxing room with a selection of personal care products if someone is going straight from, say, yoga class to brunch downstairs at Kaya. The namesake lounge when you enter is beautifully decorated, relaxing and a place where people gather before or after class. It’s clear that there is a sense of community and friendship here. It’s a beautiful space with lots of exposed brick and that industrial Strip District feel. As for class, I went on Sunday morning and it was full! A great way to start the week. I really liked their Vinyasa Krama method of adding pieces to the sequence so that by the time it starts to flow, you’ve seen it all before and nothing feels overwhelming. You also have a sense of whether you needed to modify anything to suit your particular needs along the way and what worked for you, so that you can do the same throughout the flow. I have never been to a yoga studio that felt so genuinely welcoming and happy to meet everyone just where they are, whether that’s the most basic beginner or someone who wants to push the edges of their capabilities. Lots of diversity among class participants shows you this is a place that is welcoming and inclusive. Just come as you are with an open mind and ready to work on whatever you hope to get from your practice. I will be back!

I highly recommend taking a class at the OM Lounge in the Strip District. The studio is absolutely gorgeous with the perfect mixture of edgy, calm and spiritual. All of the teachers are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. After only going to a few classes, I was greeted by name and they do a wonderful job of making you feel welcome. The way the classes are structured make them suitable for all levels from beginner to expert. Each teacher has their own vibe but the classes follow the same structure so you will gain familiarity with the direction of your flow that is different every time with challenges and surprises along the way.

I’ve practiced yoga for nearly 20 years at over 200 studios internationally. The Om Lounge is in a league of its own. While recovering from a disabling injury a few years ago, I decided to try a new studio in my neighborhood, The Om Lounge. When I walked in the door, I felt immediately at home. It is the most welcoming community of talented teachers lead by the heart and soul of the Founder and Owner. Every single class is thoughtfully designed to work with every body, while you become in-tune with your own body. That is the essence of yoga. Since joining two years ago, I’ve attended 25-30 yoga classes per month at The Om Lounge. I’ve watched how new students are treated when they enter the studio. Teachers and staff guide them through the studio and ask questions to set expectations for a meaningful and safe practice. Teachers always offer modifications for poses and flows to make yoga accessible to everyone. They also encourage students to find modification on their own because no one knows what is happening in someone else’s body. That seems like a pretty obvious statement to most mentally competent adults. Segue to next paragraph…. I never write public reviews. I was inspired to write this one because of a recent review by a new student claiming to be a disabled fitness instructor. It was a bizarre attack on a studio beloved by the Pittsburgh yoga community. I was in class with this student. I saw her strange behavior and I observed her interaction with the teacher and staff. She made other students feel uncomfortable. Her review is more than inaccurate, it’s dangerous nonsense. Claiming that people could be harmed by attending an Om Lounge class is the furthest thing from reality. The Om Lounge was my recovery and my physical therapy. I’ve watched countless students experience similar physical triumphs at the studio. I’ve watched the owner devote time, attention and genuine care for every student in her classes. Please do not allow the nonsensical ramblings of one odd person dissuade you from experiencing this incredible studio. Just read all of the other reviews.

Despite being on the 1month unlimited explore package for which I paid $134, their late cancel policy and missed class fee is ridiculous $20, sometimes charged wrongly even if I did make it to last few classes. They will charge you at any time. I will be canceling the remaining classes. Also their website can be glitchy tough to sign up or cancel, sometimes you get double booked. Edit: In response to your comment, you certainly know how to twist facts to suit your needs and to make yourself look like you are right and the customer is wrong. I was late on 3 occasions all within 5 minutes. Not my fault if I'm just waiting outside and the door is locked and no one is available to check me in because 3-4 minutes late. I already paid for the Monday's missed class (jul 29) as it showed up on my account right before Wednesday's class so you were double charging me today again.

I took the Y6 Restorative class on Friday for the first time. The girl at the front desk was so nice and welcoming, and Samantha the instructor was great. Her class was very trauma informed which was so nice and such a great end to the week!

Awesome Restorative class. I have been very tight in my hips and lower back. Victoria’s class helped open me up and stretch the area. Her instructions were clear and very calming. Can’t wait to return.
