This was my first ever Pilates class. I must admit I was nervous . At my 5am session I was warmly welcomed by coach Nick , his energy and vibe throughout the whole workout was incredible! It was such a great experience from the instructor Nick to the people attending! The atmosphere was so encouraging & veteran classmates accepted me and cheered as I completed my first class. It’s not easy , I’m an ex track athlete but I felt muscles engaged that maybe I haven’t used in a while. I’m so glad I went to experience this and I will return , highly recommend! Also a spotless facility which was comforting.

If you like aggressively loud music, an instructor that never stops yelling commands at you over said loud music, to the point where most are confused about what they should be doing in any moment, this class format is for you. Ps. There’s no single class for free to try and they will not refund your $80 trial two weeks regardless even if you hated the class.

I’ve ran marathons, worked with personal trainers, climbed mountains and served in the Marines. This workout is still the hardest 50 mins of my life. Granted I’m much older now but nothing I’ve done compares mentally or physically. The instructors are all amazing and helpful. If your new and unsure I highly recommend attending a class with Mathew the studio manager or Maddie. His positivity and motivation make you feel right at home. I’ve been a solid core member for a little over a year. It’s worth every penny and I love it.

Fantastic workout but definitely not for everyone. If you are ready for an intense full body workout that tones your body unlike any workout that i have done before, Solidcore is your workout. But be prepared to fail, because that is part of the process. The first class can be disorienting but you gradually learn the process. The workouts never get easier but your confidence and mental and physical fortitude get stronger.

Lynsey is THE best Pilates instructor and personal trainer in Pittsburgh! I knew nothing about Pilates before starting with her and she taught me proper form, technique and breathing. She’s helped me achieve my fitness goals and improve my overall health in the process. I am so much stronger and healthier because of Lynsey. I cannot recommend her enough. Whether it’s for class or one-on-one training, you’ll find no one better than Lynsey.

I have known about Lynsey for many years. It took a client of mine(ranting and raving about her enough) to finally get me there. I am upset with myself for taking so long! I am a fitness instructor for over 20+ years with numerous back issues that this Pilates session addressed and will aid in my continued improvement with functional strength and flexibility. I have worked with Lynsey for the past several months to help with my recovery from severe muscle atrophy and dysfunction. While Lynsey's focus is on the Pilates Program, she has worked with my medical team to develop a progressive program specific to my needs. She is a great teacher and motivator and I have experienced noticeable gains each week. Her flexibility with scheduling as well as her ability to come to my home have been huge pluses as well. I have worked with other exercise and Pilates instructors in the past and Lynsey has surpassed them all in helping me to achieve my goals.

This studio offers a variety of mat Pilates class options so there is something for everyone. I personally find classical Pilates a little boring. Lynsey offers classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays that put her own twist on many of the classic exercises, and these are the classes I love. I have been to a lot of different Pilates classes in Pittsburgh, and this has been the best —mainly because of Lynsey’s energy and her attentiveness to students. I’ve found that in a lot of “boutique” fitness studios the students are like silent Stepford Wives who don’t interact with each other unless they have a friend in the class. Here, the other students are friendly and get to to know each other creating a welcoming and judgement free community. Credit to Lynsey whose positive attitude is contagious.

Lynsey provides a great mix of exercises and gives different tips to accommodate all levels during her workouts. She is also so much fun and a real pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend that you try her classes. You will see fantastic results and will just love her !

ViviPilates has been a wonderful place to learn the practice and gain strength and flexibility that I really need. Viviana and Kristin are great teachers, they are kind and supportive, and Viviana has created a fun and welcoming atmosphere. i also enjoy that it's located in the heart of Squirrel Hill with easy street parking in the front or the parking lot in the back - there's a back door to the studio from there.

Viviana is an amazing teacher! I was brand new to Pilates when I started 6 months ago, having never done a class in my life. Viviana is patient, knowledgeable and safe. Her classes take place on zoom, or with just a couple of people in her studio at once (during COVID). I wish I could give her a 10 instead of a 5!!

It is such an amazing experience to practice pilates with Vivana, not only because pilates makes wonders to your body, but also because Vivana is the best instructor you could ever have. I’ve been training with her for over a year, and I can honestly say that every lesson is a happy highlight of my day. Every class is fun and diverse, I'm challenged and learning something new every week, and I'm noticing over time how my body changes while enjoying the workouts. This is because Viviana is driven by passion and is truly an expert, with a deep knowledge in pilates and the human body, and she’s an amazing teacher that forges a unique personal connection with every student, and makes every minute count. She structures every class around the students' individual needs, and she is keeping track of individual progress, being very attentive to the small details and very encouraging no matter what level you're at. I wholeheartedly recommend you make yourself a gift and visit Viviana's studio :)

Square Pilates is a lovely, bright, clean and welcoming space. Deirdre made me feel comfortable in the space and with the apparatus from the first lesson despite my lack of Pilates background. I was looking to restart a regular fitness routine after having a baby and have found Pilates, specifically at Square Pilates, a great choice! My boyfriend and I took a class here through ClassPass and it was our first Solidcore workout. 10/10 the instructor was great and the workout was hard. I really like taking exercise classes but this is my favorite because it’s unique. Even though I hadn’t ever used a reformer (or like-machine) before, the instructor was helpful with technique and spring strength. I’ll definitely go again when I’m in Pittsburgh.

I absolutely love Solidcore! The instructors are incredible - they're motivating, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. I'm always impressed by how they learn and remember everyone's names, which makes the classes feel so much more personal. Beyond the amazing instructors, the workouts themselves are incredibly effective. I've been dealing with jumper's knee for a while, and Solidcore has been a game-changer in helping me strengthen the muscles around my knee and improve my overall stability. Additionally, I've noticed a significant improvement in my back pain since I started strengthening my core with these challenging yet rewarding classes. Thank you, Solidcore, for creating such an amazing fitness experience!

I love Solidcore classes because they are intense and give huge results. I have used these workouts at postpartum recovery after each of my 3 children and also as a general fitness. The range in intensity is also great because the same class can be modified for any level. Great workout!

I had a great time at my first Pilates session! Tory is an excellent instructor. It's important to arrive early to find parking in the strip district. Also, be sure to download the app beforehand to sign the waiver and receive the door code.

I was SUPER intimidated to try solidcore, as I am pretty out of shape, but I'm so glad I did! The instructors are all incredibly approachable, welcoming, and the perfect level of motivation and energy. Core work has always been my downfall, but even after just a handful of classes, I already feel so much stronger. The classes are incredibly challenging in the best way, and they're low impact, which is a perfect combination. I'm currently booking through class pass since my schedule doesn't allow me to do too many classes per month, and I'm using all my credits here. Can't say enough good things--book it now!

Club Pilates is the best experience. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The studio is very clean, always sanitized, and smells so good every session. My fave instructors are Abby and Tiffany! Their instructional voices are so inviting and soothing. Not to mention their awesome playlist to keep you engaged and motivated. If you have not tried Club Pilates-The Galleria, run, don’t walk to the best experience of your life. 10 ⭐️ I highly recommend!

The instructors create a warm and inviting atmosphere, carefully walking you through all the movements. The studio is impeccably clean and peaceful. While the reformer may seem daunting, it offers a fantastic full-body workout that is relatively easy to learn the basics. I highly recommend Club Pilates at the Galleria!

Loved my first few classes at Club Pilates at the Galleria! The 3 instructors I’ve had so far have been knowledgeable, cue movements well, & helpful especially for a new student like me. The studio is gorgeous & everyone is so friendly. Love the workout - I feel “good sore”, it’s a very isometric effective workout. I have a back & knee issues & the instructors help me modify when necessary.

5 Star Experience! Fantastic instructors that smoothly guide you through movements that improve your body just in a few weeks. I am strengthening my body without injury or stress and I’m enjoying every second! (And I couldn’t do a sit-up before I joined.) Everything about the studio is fantastic, and I truly loved all the instructors. However, one downside of Club Pilates is the strict cancellation policy. If you don’t cancel a class at least 12 hours in advance, you’ll be charged a fee, regardless of the circumstances—even in cases beyond your control, such as illness, emergencies, or bad weather. If you’re considering signing up for classes, it’s important to keep this policy in mind.

This location offers 10 classes pack, which is more flexible than other Club Pilates locations’ mandatory membership requirements, and I’ve been using that to suit my busy schedule.Instructors varies on how much instruction they gave you, and probably not the best way to start doing Pilates without enough ques but pure cheerleading. The other struggle was hard to find a time to communicate with instructor about personal need and adjustment, both before and after class. Maybe private classes would be a better choice, but for group classes, it’s not a location I would like to continue to go.

I’m hooked! My friend has been taking classes for almost two months now. I saw her amazing weight loss progress and said “I want that!”. I just had my third class today (fourth if you count the intro) and the instructor, Elyssa gave me all the bang for my buck! As someone who is new to Pilates, she explained how to perform each workout so well and provided much encouragement. I left her class feeling refreshed and accomplished before heading into work. The other instructors I had so far have been wonderful too. Everyone is so friendly and I’m so glad I made the choice to join. Your first class is to familiarize you with terminology, the equipment, and how to join.

I've been going to Club Pilates Shadyside for 4 months now and I'm really loving the classes and overall experience! I first got the 10 pack of classes to get a feel for reformer pilates. It was great to not have to commit to a monthly membership, although because I loved it so much I did sign up for the 4 class/month membership! I've gone to classes with multiple instructors and love how each has their own different style. They always have new flows, and the class plans are never the same. It's a fantastic workout and you really feel the burn. I love that there are difficulty levels of classes; I started off at level 1 and was able to progress to level 2. The instructors pay attention to make sure you are doing the moves safely and effectively.

My daughter was a member of Club Pilates this Fall. She is a college student. Before coming home for winter break, she froze her membership. Long story short, she had some health issues over her winter break and never got in touch with Club Pilates - because she had more major things going on in her life - to unfreeze her membership or cancel her account 30 days in advance (their policy). Well, we spoke with them and now have two months of charges that they absolutely won't refund, even though she hasn't been there nor can she return at the moment. You would think that, if they wanted to retain her as a customer, they might have worked with us on this, but instead, the response was basically "too bad." Extremely disappointed, and she obviously won't be returning to this place. Careful becoming a member! To respond to the below message from Club Pilates... you are lying. No one offered to allow her to take classes "at a later date." They said she could still use the month that we paid for (obviously! We PAID FOR IT). All I was saying above is that, given the situation, you could have worked with us or given a credit for her to take classes at a later date.

I am in 84 classes of Pilates now and I can't express enough how much I love it! This workout has truly transformed my body and mind. Not only have I noticed significant improvements in my strength and flexibility, but my posture has also improved dramatically. Pilates sessions are a perfect blend of challenge and relaxation, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated and centered. The mindful movements and focus on core strength have helped me develop a deeper connection with my body. I've also seen positive changes in my overall health and well-being. This is my 3rd actual class at Club Pilates and I'm new to this exercise. As a plus size woman, I've felt comfortable and welcome in the space. Classes are broken down into 3 levels and full of diverse ages and abilities. I've had class with 3 different instructors and Kristy has been my favorite instructor so far. Paige is also great! Because I am dependent on glasses, the minute I take them off and the lights dim I'm basically blind and dependent on the instructors' descriptions of the movements and breathing that I don't know yet on my own. Kristy's description of each movement was SO CLEAR and her movement back and forth was so regular I didn't even have to advocate for myself. What I appreciated the most was that as she was transitioning us from one movement to the next she called out modification options so that we could decide for ourselves what was most appropriate based on strength without having to call attention to weaknesses. I get super self-conscious. Paige was great at immediately showing me on the reformer next to me movements when I wasn't sure what she was talking about and explained I couldn't see. I only had to advocate once and she was at my side. When I was incapable of doing a core movement, she helped me adjust and refused to give up on me until I successfully got myself through the movement. Full transparency: After the first hour class I really didn't know how I was going to do this regularly. However, with each class, I'm seeing improvements in my strength and flexibility. You really do shut your brain off for an hour. The studio is clean. Classes are accessible. I'm impressed!

Tyler and Aja are my fave instructors! They make great use of all of the equipment and don’t take themselves too seriously! Club Pilates has been an amazing addition to my routine! In two months, I already feel the strengthening of my core / pelvic muscles!

The instructors are all experts, with a wealth of deep and wide experience in many modalities- I swear, as they observe each of us, they are like “body whisperers” who can see and understand what we individually need to progress. I have an unlimited package and have been going 6 days a week for over 9 months. It’s a testament to the warm, kind, and dare I say FUN environment that Cara and Emily have cultivated that I have remained motivated to this degree of self care. There are NO restrictive contracts and the intro sessions are FREE. You will not regret checking out this magical and grounded space. Hope to meet you soon!

I love going to Aplomb Pilates Studio. Cara and Emily are knowledgable instructors who take the time to get to know their clients and always make it a welcoming space. I’ve been going since the studio opened and have never felt better. They make sure to switch up the classes, so you always feel like you’re doing something new, and it never gets boring. You should definitely check it out and try a class. You won’t be disappointed.

I love Aplomb Pilates! These gals know what they are doing! I have been taking classes for 6 months and have seen a dramatic change in my body. I am stronger, leaner and overall, feel great! I enjoy going to the studio, it is bright and beautiful and Cara and Emily are fun and change up the workout so you don’t get bored! The classes are offered at convenient times with plenty of parking. I can’t imagine my life without Aplomb Pilates!

I absolutely love going to Aplomb Pilates studio. I’ve taken Pilates classes in the past and I knew how they could transform your body, strengthening your core and improving posture while toning and sculpting. However, I had never experienced the reformer, chair or the endless amount of exercises that Aplomb Pilates is able to put together, making the Pilates experience different every time! Cara and Emily are knowledgeable at what they do and I always look forward to attending their class😊

This place is amazing! The owners are super knowledgeable and friendly, very comfortable to be around! The studio is impeccably clean, bright and beautiful and easy to park. I never realized how much I would love Pilates! There are a million different exercises and they are not at all taxing on your body but they are challenging. I’ve been going since September and I can see and feel a difference! I feel accomplished after each and every workout and it truly is functional fitness! Highly recommend!!

The best Pilates studio I have ever been too. There are so many classes for every level. Very affordable too! The classes are never boring: I especially love that the class usually incorporates different equipment pieces that add variety and intensity and fun to the routine. Krista (the owner) is awesome instructor, and she hires the best people too. Every class is so challenging, you will see the difference!

The best Pilates studio ever ! Great classes, for different levels, skills and body shapes, thoughtfully planned for each session. Excellent workout for your whole body, combined with the appropriate stretching exercises to help your hard-working muscles. All instructors are greatly knowledgeable, pay attention and correct each person in the class and above all - extremely friendly ! Challenging, with the good results and still feels pleasant and cozy. Highly recommended !

My favorite Pilates studio in Pittsburgh! Krista is an amazing teacher, offers modifications if needed and puts attention into making sure you are doing everything effectively. She will work muscles you did not know you had. Highly recommend.

I have never reviewed anything ever as I feel all reviews have a personal bias . However I felt morally obligated to share about this studio and the role it has played in my well being and I hope it will help others I had a terrible accident with head injury recently and I never thought that pilates would help me as I needed to have a scientific reasoning behind everything I did . Well its mind and body connection with pilates and Krista fit in the right exercises to get my balance , my strength and endurance back. I can never thank her enough and the team that she hires are all excellent. no matter how busy my day goes, I look forward to my training session as its a strong potion filled with a sense of well being I have only one thing to say to anyone who thinks twice about coming to this studio . investment in learning how to do pilates the right way is the best form of health insurance anyone can buy at a much lesser cost . you will find it here . As a retired cardiologist, I thought I knew a thing or two about my body, how I carried myself in motion, etc. but as I aged, recurring injuries occurred and the frustrating part was I couldn’t fix things on my own. Turns out, I didn’t have a clue until I showed up here and asked for help. I was wrong about almost everything. I’ve been coming for nearly 10 years now. Admittedly slow baby steps at first, I finally know how my body works. Krista, Cleo, Marsha, Susan, Brandy- the whole gang is excellent. My range of motion has increased, not decreased as often happens with aging. I’ve grown 1/2” in height. My bad back? Achilles tendinitis? Plantar fasciitis? Right hip pain? Gone.
