Best Gym near Suwanee, Georgia

Owner does not return calls or emails to address any issues or concerns. We have been coming here for 7 years and due to recent issues we stopped coming after 7 years. Several messages and emails have been left for the owner with no response from management or the owner! You would think an owner would respond to issues and concerns to families that had been coming and supporting GGA Suwanee for 7 years but no, that has not happened. This is poor management and service! Very dissatisfied with GGA Suwanee.

This gym has two departments, a Rec side and a Team side. This review is for team side. This includes level 3456 bronze silver gold platinum. This gym has not always been bad. In the beginning, they had amazing staff. Knowledgeable and experienced coaches. Just a beautiful place to be a part of. About 9 months ago you saw a decline in the way they behave towards their clients, the way they behave towards their gymnasts, and the way they even behave towards their staff members. This was a very toxic place. But for some of us, our only option."Location". They stopped listening to our concerns, Our requests, our emails and our calls. 80% of the parents told the owner and the director that we would leave their academy if things didn't change . Maybe it's due to the point they were selling; they didn't care what the parents concerns were. Cause nothing was done . For my family with no other doable option we stayed for the season. My daughter was with this gym for a little over 3 years. Her main coach, coach Cassie missed the last two weeks leading up to the State competition . There was no real training those two weeks leading up to the most important competition for the season. That was it for me. While my daughter qualified for regionals, I decided that we would not go. I felt our girls were deprived the WHOLE season, from not having the correct hours of training, & the correct coaches at practice. I withdrew my daughter in May. My daughter was asked not to come to the end of the season party / award ceremony. I still said this was the Best decision we have made as a family . I would not advise anybody to seek this gym out if your daughter is looking for a Team . Their two best coaches are no longer there and that was by far the only thing that kept us there this season. Coach Irena and Coach Serge are amazing coaches and wherever they may end up I know they will produce greatness.

This gym was good to us in the beginning and as the years went on the management team has very bad communication, owner doesnt seem to care about complications or disputes about team management. Scheduling last minute parent meetings the same day, do not communicate when there's about to be a huge coach change. We're done here. If your planning to have your kid compete here be wary, otherwise tumble tikes or other basic classes they're great.

My daughter was on team here for 3 years and we had a great experience until very recently. I debated about leaving this review because I still care about people that work here but a recent decision made by the owner has left me very disappointed. They recently let go of 2 amazing coaches that were instrumental in the success of many gymnasts, coach Sergey and coach Irina. These coaches were dependable and picked up the slack from other coaches often times with no notice. These coaches brought GGA'S gold team to a number 2 spot in the state and produced 3 state team gymnasts. Many families tried to express their concerns over communication issues among other things and their concerns were not taken seriously. With the loss of these great coaches, there will no longer be an optional program forcing many gymnasts to find a new gym to train with. I'm very disappointed at the way this was handled and am heartbroken for all the families that tried so hard to make things work only to come to this end. I hope this termination does not tarnish the names of these coaches that so many gymnasts respect and I wish the best to all those that are forced to scramble to find a new gym family.

Edit: i have increased my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I was contacted the same day that I made the review and was able to get the issue resolved. While I appreciate the urgency after the review, I would have hoped for that same customer service before the review. I stand by that no one tried to contact me. I have double checked emails and do not have any voice messages…not to mention as stated we are in the building twice a week. Customer service is everything. I do appreciate that she is back in class. Thank you! Original review: If I could give zero stars I would. The coaches are fabulous but the admin/office staff are horrible and could use a lesson in customer service. My daughter has been attending here for two years (maybe longer). We had her taking two classes here and she attended through the summer session. However, even though we were in the facility two days out of the week, they didn’t have the courtesy to come out and let us know that her fall registration had not gone through. So, after attending for two years and taking two classes a week, she was left off the roster for fall. Just a terrible way to treat your loyal customers. She is now on a wait list like we are new to the facility. It wouldn’t have taken them hardly any effort to just come out during one of her summer sessions and ask us if she would be staying on for the fall or better yet, pick up a phone and confirm. Terrible office practices… I’m now looking for another facility to take her to so she doesn’t sit out waiting on a spot at a facility she been going to since she was 4 years old. They definitely don’t care about long term loyal customers.

Joel has been my coach for about 18 months now, and I can highly highly recommend him! He knowledge and creativity in strength and conditioning are the best in the nation, keeping my on my toes (not literally!) in every session. The variations of each exercise are always backed with with solid research, so you not only know what you are doing, but more importantly why. The highlight of my week is my session with Joel :o) love your work!

Joel is very professional and knowledgeable in his training. I have personally trained with Joel for 2 off-seasons now, and I am continually pleased with the progress/results. Joel has helped in optimizing my performance in the gym which has directly affected my performance on the field. He is a trustworthy person who excels in what he does. I would recommend Joel to any professional athlete who is looking to increase his or her overall strength and performance while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Within the first few minutes of interacting with Joel you will realize you are speaking to one of the most intellectual fitness professionals in the industry. Having worked with Joel as an athlete for almost three years, I can only remark positively on my experience. His ability to not only identify strengths and weaknesses, but communicate them in an understandable manner sets him apart from others. The progress I have made under his program have led me to refer several other athletes to him who may be struggling to break through in their respective events. Beyond his knowledge, Joel makes sure he cultivates meaningful relationships with all of his clients. It made for a more trusting and friendly trainer-athlete relationship which improved each session. Joel genuinely cares about each and every client he trains and it shows through is attention to detail and dedication to creating the most comfortable environment and productive training program he can. If you are looking for a professional who you can trust to take you to the next level in whatever goal you set for yourself, then there is no better person for the job than Joel.

I have trained with other professional trainers in the past, but Joel is extraordinary . Why you may ask? He is extremely knowledgeable, very articulate with watching your form, it is never boring!! He challenges me beyond my expectations even when I want to quit. Joel has a great sense of humor and I always look forward to my workouts with him. I am 66 yrs old and have more balance, strength and energy! Thanks Joel, you are the best!

After training with Joel for almost a year, I see major changes in my body's form and function. Joel gives me a unique plan each session along with his undivided attention. The way he blends science and practicality is amazing. Although he trains professional athletes, I feel no disfavor because of my age (over 60), my condition (MS, in a wheelchair), or my time/energy limits (once a week). I am truly blessed to be able to train with Joel. After a break during Covid, I am back with Joel- and my progress is amazing!

This park is easily on my top 5 parks in Gwinnett County. It’s beautiful, clean, spacious and has a little bit of everything for everyone. Multiple playgrounds and trails, stroller friendly and well maintained.

Well-kept park. The basketball court are in great shape. There is a community center as you enter the park. They offer aerobic classes for elderly people. There are other activities family oriented. The grills are okay and there are enough tables to sit, relax, and prepare some burgers. There are soccer fields too. Great park to spend time with friends and family. It's pet friendly too, with a nearby veterinary clinic.

The park is nice. Lots of trails. A senior center. Many soccer fields. Lots of parking. The bathroom seemed to be ok for a park public restroom. It also had a water fountain to refill water bottles.

Beautiful park! There is so much room for trail walks, running, or bike riding. The paths we saw had sidewalks. Lots of fields and play areas. There are a few different playgrounds to play at. Maintained beautifully and an overall great park.

What a great park next to city hall. Very big and beautiful with a long bike road and trails. You and your kids will have a lot of chances to meet deers and they are so close and friendly

It was a really fun game because the weather was warm and the sun was nice. The local neighbors we joined together were very friendly and fun. It was not an easy golf course, but it was a little challenging and thrilling course. If you come to Atlanta, I strongly recommend you to visit Ecos.

Our golf 4-some thoroughly enjoyed playing at a recent event. They have updated facilities, clubhouse, and pro shop. They run tournaments very well. Also, fun to play non tournament. I had run one for 10 years and they hosted it several times. They do a great efficient job at running events and making it a great experience for participants. I’ve played Bear’s Best Las Vegas a few years back. It is beautiful with the mountains, but this course is way better.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at an out of town booking. Flew in for a business meeting, and booked a 730 single. Arrived at the club and SJ picked me up, was so nice. Took me to the clubhouse and then went to get me my rental clubs. Marty at the clubhouse was incredibly hospitable, told me all about the course, things I might enjoy, asked me where I was from and then highlighted the holes from my state. Finally, Bob got me all situated to start my round. Rental clubs are top notch, not the garbage you get at a lot of courses. I took off for my round and it was beautiful, well kept, and just an overall wonderful round. The black sand on the Montana hole is really cool. I got ready for my meetings afterward in the changing room which was great, then enjoyed lunch in the clubhouse. All in all, this was incredible from start to finish. Have highly recommended this course to everyone I know that comes through Atlanta. Sj, Marty, Bob, you all were so kind and incredible. Keep it up!!

Really nice course. Layout is very straight forward and fairways are plush. Playing from the white tee's give you a chance to score, Playing from the blues instantly adds some challenges.

Had a great time at this course. I'm glad to bring home the trophy. Beautiful course, great hospitality, and great location for the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Golf Invitational. Shot out to Nick who provided great on-course service. Keep up the great work and will be back to play soon 🏆

Pure Barre Suwanee is more than just a fitness studio; it's an amazing community. From my very first day, I felt welcomed and appreciated. Everyone at the studio puts in their best effort to make clients feel comfortable and confident during workouts. The studio is always clean and organized, and it's evident that each instructor dedicates time to learning and teaching the choreography. The studio manager, Jen, truly cares about her clients and has done an excellent job building the Pure Barre Suwanee family. Special shoutout to instructors Jen, Steph, Lori, and Jenna, as well as sales associates Tori and Amanda, for making Pure Barre Suwanee feel like home!

I’ve always loved Pure Barre but never had one close by. When they opened up so close to me, I knew I had to join! After having my son, I wasn’t sure if I was going to feel like myself again but this has been the most consistent I’ve worked out…ever. I have loved the different formats and never knew I would love lifting weights so much. They ease you into it all but give you so much encouragement all through out your workout! The instructors treat you like family, it all feels so clean and is always ready for you to come and spend 50 minutes on yourself! The unlimited membership feels like a lot but you can get your money’s worth by coming multiple times a week! I highly recommend!

I had never tried Barre until going to Pure Barre Suwanee and I immediately knew I wanted to join. I've done boot camp style workouts pretty much my entire life and absolutely fell in love with the different formats that Pure Barre Suwanee offers. I've always been fairly fit, but learning Pure Barre has really helped me learn how to engage my core the proper way throughout everything I do. Not only are their workouts fire, the community is the amazing! The team at PBS truly invests in their clients. It's a special place!

I joined Pure Barre in February and have been diligent with attendance BECAUSE I love it! I’ve tried various gyms and exercise programs but am thrilled to finally find a format that I love and want to go to as much as possible. I love the variety of instructors and classes. I feel great; physically and mentally! I could post something everyday about how much I loved my class attended 💕😂. Best thing I have done for myself in years.

My daughter has been with Metro for over a year now. What really impresses me is how they give attention to each student individually. Lisa, Luke, and Brittney are all wonderful. My daughter has grown and learned so much since she started attending gymnastics classes here. She loves it and so do I! Sign up! You won't regret it!

Great place to take your kids to learn gynmastics, tumbling. Great staff, great prices. They have area where parents can watch there kids doing the exercises. Nice comfy chairs while you wait. They even have tables for kids to do their homework, and free wifi!

Lisa, Luke and Brittney are the best! Had my daughters 9th birthday party here and the kids loved it, the amount of planned activities was perfect and kept the kids entertained the entire time. Highly recommend for classes or birthday parties.

My 2 boys (3, 7) went to metro gymnastics weekly for approximately a year (or a little less). I can honestly say I was it was a really good fit for both of them in terms of teaching style and accommodating to the inexperienced (first time) gymnast. Unfortunately we had to stop when my 7 year old was confirmed on the spectrum and was immediately thrust into occupational therapy, speech therapy and behavioral therapy (3x a week). I am thankful for how well the trainers worked with both of my boys. The young male trainer (I believe was the owners son?) especially was so caring and helpful to my 7 year old which not only made it a great experience but I felt was a positive influence and role model. All the trainers were great. The class sizes can get large. They break them up into 3 groups and rotate stations throughout class. It moves pretty quick and multiple children are active at one time so I would not say there is alot of downtime such as you might find with group swim lessons.

Nicole, the teacher who worked with my 2 year old, is amazing at her job! We really love this place. Edited to add: We attended gymnastics here for a year before moving, mostly with Meagan, who is amazing and so patient with the little ones. Highly recommend this business!!

Such an amazing place to purchase a gift, or splurge on yourself (do it!). Indy and Maria are awesome! The classes Indy offers are fabulous. The energy here is through the roof (in a good way), even my teen noticed it. I highly recommend a visit!

I love visiting this shop! Indy has always been so kind and welcoming when I come in and so have all the other workers there. It is wonderful to see them around town at some of the festivals and events, too.The essential oils, sprays and candles are high quality. They have a very wide selection of crystals and gem stones with lots of knowledge to share on each one. One day I would love to try some of the sound healing bowls they have there as well.

I went to Prana Harmony today and it was amazing! It made me see things so differently and more clearly. Indy is so intelligent and peaceful. I’m definitely coming back many many times. I have been wanting to go to this place for a long time. I would drive past it many times, but for some reason or the other, I wasn’t able to make it. Then one day I decided to suddenly go in there and schedule an appointment for Reiki. When I entered, the energy and the incense burning just completed relaxed me. I got my Reiki sessions done twice and I have had the most wonderful experience. It has really helped me release all the stress and the negative energies that I was carrying and it helped me to feel very positive. I am very thankful to Indy and I highly recommend it if you are looking for healing your soul.

Great workout experience, trainers are so friendly and dedicated to each individual that is working out, no classes scheduled, it never stop, just show up to start working out, is not just physical activity, is mind, body balance, movement coordination, every day is a real pleasure to training there.

I was passing through Town Center Suwanee today and I popped in to check out the place. I was greeted by owner Justin and ask if I would be interested in doing a class. I just so happened to have some workout clothes on so I took him up on this offer right then. It was one of the BEST 30 minute workouts I had in a long-time! I love their concept and the fact that they do not have set class schedules. You can literally come at anytime that is convenient for you and start a class. Pretty cool! If you are visiting Town Center Suwanee you should stop by and do a quick class. Highly Recommended!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a trial lesson and I really enjoyed it! The staff is very friendly and the training is very effective and lifts your spirits! Highly recommend this club

I am actually a member of the Utah highland 9round gym. I joined on august 29, but I was traveling for work. I was upset that I would not be able to work out, but I reached out to the Suwanee location. The owner (Justin) did NOT hesitate to get me in. He told me not to worry and to jump in. Truly made me feel like it was my own gym. The trainers Jonah and Richie know their stuff. Kept me motivated and challenged me every day I was there. Best part of this gym is that I felt welcome. I was only there a week, but all 3 trainers still have me the same attention. Kudos !

I wish I had discovered kickboxing as exercise 5 years ago! I love the combination of weights/cardio/kickboxing that 9Round offers. My biggest hurdle for exercising was motivation, but it's pretty difficult to talk myself out of the gym when it only takes 30 minutes. But boy, it's a challenging 30 minutes. My heart rate stays up the whole time and Justin is wonderful at keeping your effort up throughout each round. By the time you get to the end of round 9, it's over before you know it! I think I finally found the exercise routine that's right for me!

This place is awesome, specially if you have athletic kids. My son has grown and has benefit from Hammer Smith tremendously. We love the environment and the well training receive from them. They know what they do very well. My son has performed better then ever with his sport. My son has been part of this since 2020 and his confidence level has gone up as well. All of the coaches here are so loving, professional, attentive and always have a smile on their face. I cannot express how we love this place and how much has not just my son learn but myself as well. This is the best gym for your kid so do not hesitate to bring them here.

I want to first say that although it had been some time ago, we had previously visited Hammer Smith Sports, and my daughter has participated in several of their classes. Now that she is out of season and wanting to get in some speed and agility during her off season, our first thought was to go back to HSS. I tried calling earlier to confirm but received no response back and so after seeing there was a "drop in " class scheduled for that evening, we showed up early ready for her to participate. Upon our arrival there was a trainer there, but did not acknowledge us and so we waited, as the class was supposed to be held by Tripp (according to the app). The class did not start on time and when Tripp arrived, I tried introducing my daughter and as I could see he was already running late, I figured I would fill him in on the details of her situation after the class. Tripp immediately asked if she had completed their full assessment, and I said yes. He then continued to question me about who completed the assessment as if I wasn't being truthful. (After thing about it, it was Ian that completed her full assessment and gave her the okay to participate in their drop-in classes) After giving her equipment to participate, Tripp then took them back and told said she needed to join Alex. Alex looked as if he were doing a private session with a boy that appeared to be 7 or 8. I tried asking Tripp if what he was doing was the advertised "drop in" class for $25? He responded, "Yes, but I have some individual stuff that I need to work on with the other athletes that are here." Tripp was rude and dismissive and didn't even see if my daughter was on the same level as the TWO other athletes he had there. Had he allowed my daughter to participate, he would have seen that she is a very high-level athlete and probably more advanced than the two kids he had there. We immediately left and will never return. I guess my money wasn't good enough for him. I am really disappointed in the treatment we received, as all of our other experiences at HSS have been very positive and challenging for her. I was going to ask about a package for the winter, but I will take my money elsewhere.

Over the past four months, my son has been attending Hammer Smith Sports, and his physical growth has been substantial. We are pleased with the program's emphasis on hands-on training and its supportive community.

This place is amazing. Incredible trainers who are committed to helping you become the best athlete you can be. I’ve been rehabbing from surgery and they have done an incredible job helping me get my strength back after surgery but have also helped me get my speed back in a month so that I’m ready to roll for the fall. I don’t care what your sport is if you want to get better and your within and hour of this place you need to be going. Just go give it a try!

I found Pilates Joie while looking for a way to improve my back issue and improve my posture. There were some amazing reviews convinced me to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Jamie is an incredible instructor who explains everything clearly and tailors the sessions to my needs.(I had a private session) Thanks to her, I’ve discovered how effective and enjoyable Pilates can be. My back has improved a lot, and I feel stronger. Highly recommend!!

The perfect teacher for the Pilates newbie. I started my training with Jamie last October and my body feels so good after each lesson. Jamie is not only a good teacher but also a good warm heart person. She is a good listener and knows what you need for the body. The studio is also an awesome place - clean, cozy and professional. I highly recommend this place and Jamie!

Jamie has been a wonderful Pilates teacher. I started with my mom a few months ago and am so glad we found her. She is so friendly and kind. I really appreciate she is able to tailor sessions based on how you are feeling—injuries, aches, etc.—and skill level while keeping it challenging and fun. I’ve definitely felt the benefits in my posture and strength after just a short while. I can tell she truly loves Pilates and enjoys sharing the benefits and practice with her students. I highly recommend her for Pilates learners of all ages and skill!

I have taken quite a few Pilates lessons on and off during the past decade or so. Among the many great instructors, Jamie stood out. The beginning of our sessions was typical: She asked about my goal, past injuries/surgeries/painful areas that need attention. The exercises she taught me seemed to be the same at first, but it turned out to be very VERY different from the group and personal lessons I had with prior instructors. She really honed in on which muscle I was using and made sure I engaged every single part of my body correctly to ensure I was getting the right results; I found out that I had been doing several movements incorrectly, leading to excessive straining and pain while I was exercising. After Jamie showed me how to engage those areas properly while protecting the areas (like my lower back and neck), Pilates became a whole new thing for me. Most of the movements became extremely harder after engaging the right muscles, but painless. It was a weird experience to learn that the workouts could be hard but alleviate the pain I had, too. Not only am I seeing results in the mirror, the pain I struggled with postpartum/lifting kids/extensive driving began to go away as I built muscle strength and used my muscles properly. The way I walk, move, and hold myself every day is different because of Jamie. I don't know how she does it, but I am grateful for her patience, encouragement, and her skills as a Pilates instructor. Whoever made Pilates is a genius, but if you learn from the wrong person, you just don't get the results. I am glad I found Jamie, and I hope she keeps teaching!!!

Ms. Wes does an amazing job with her students. It's very age appropriate activities, especially for young starters. My child loves going.

Love Gymworks Gymnastics and Ms. Wes. My daughter is so excited when it is gymnastics day. She loves the class and is learning great life skills. Discipline, confidence, awareness of others, taking turns, strength building, just to name a few. So glad we joined.

Not really sure why all these bad reviews.... I've been wanting to sign my daughter up for gymnastics but hesitant to pay upwards of $100 a month on something she might hate. I purchased the Groupons for my 4 year old and 1 year old and they both love it! Ms Wes is obviously a professional with years of experience who knows what what she's doing. My 4 year old who is afraid of everyone/everything went with her happily and had a great time in class!

Ms. Wes does an amazing job with my daughter and teaches her gymnastics correctly. My three year old has been going to her for almost two years now and Madison absolutely loves Monday’s because she knows she going to gymnastics and gets to see her teacher. Ms. Wes is a selfless teacher who loves all her students. I’m signing my 6 year old up soon. Thank you for all you do and see you this week!

This was the worst experience ever. First of all, over the phone the instructor tries to act like this place is so professional with all these rules. She tries so hard to make you purchase leotards from her when my daughter had perfectly good ones. She kept saying they cant be long sleeves, they cant be this, they cant be that. Second, my daughter is a toddler, she wants to enjoy and have fun. The instructor did not allow the kids to have fun at all! She also ignores certain kids and gives more attention to others. She was not an enjoyable person, i felt like the kids avoided her. Third, she did not allow the parents to take pictures. I want to have a great experience with my child, let us just enjoy the class! We are not in the Olympics, the kids are only 2!! And Lastly, if you wanna act all professional go right ahead, but at least have equipment that are not from 2001. She had an old cassette player playing songs my mother used to listen to when she was a kid in the 70's. All of her stuff is old and outdated.

No doubt this field may be great! But they need to shut the lights off at night! One is waste of energy.. and another, I'm sure many will agree, how disturbing it is to have these flood lights directly focused on your bedroom! ..sleepless in JC! :(

3 well maintained fields which are in great shape. Plenty of parking and have bathrooms which are okay (nothing great)
