I found Pilates Joie while looking for a way to improve my back issue and improve my posture. There were some amazing reviews convinced me to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Jamie is an incredible instructor who explains everything clearly and tailors the sessions to my needs.(I had a private session) Thanks to her, I’ve discovered how effective and enjoyable Pilates can be. My back has improved a lot, and I feel stronger. Highly recommend!!

The perfect teacher for the Pilates newbie. I started my training with Jamie last October and my body feels so good after each lesson. Jamie is not only a good teacher but also a good warm heart person. She is a good listener and knows what you need for the body. The studio is also an awesome place - clean, cozy and professional. I highly recommend this place and Jamie!

Jamie has been a wonderful Pilates teacher. I started with my mom a few months ago and am so glad we found her. She is so friendly and kind. I really appreciate she is able to tailor sessions based on how you are feeling—injuries, aches, etc.—and skill level while keeping it challenging and fun. I’ve definitely felt the benefits in my posture and strength after just a short while. I can tell she truly loves Pilates and enjoys sharing the benefits and practice with her students. I highly recommend her for Pilates learners of all ages and skill!

I have taken quite a few Pilates lessons on and off during the past decade or so. Among the many great instructors, Jamie stood out. The beginning of our sessions was typical: She asked about my goal, past injuries/surgeries/painful areas that need attention. The exercises she taught me seemed to be the same at first, but it turned out to be very VERY different from the group and personal lessons I had with prior instructors. She really honed in on which muscle I was using and made sure I engaged every single part of my body correctly to ensure I was getting the right results; I found out that I had been doing several movements incorrectly, leading to excessive straining and pain while I was exercising. After Jamie showed me how to engage those areas properly while protecting the areas (like my lower back and neck), Pilates became a whole new thing for me. Most of the movements became extremely harder after engaging the right muscles, but painless. It was a weird experience to learn that the workouts could be hard but alleviate the pain I had, too. Not only am I seeing results in the mirror, the pain I struggled with postpartum/lifting kids/extensive driving began to go away as I built muscle strength and used my muscles properly. The way I walk, move, and hold myself every day is different because of Jamie. I don't know how she does it, but I am grateful for her patience, encouragement, and her skills as a Pilates instructor. Whoever made Pilates is a genius, but if you learn from the wrong person, you just don't get the results. I am glad I found Jamie, and I hope she keeps teaching!!!
