LA Fitness holds a level up compared to its rival 24 Hours Fitness. With membership of about $35 to $40 it caters to mostly young professionals and college students. They converted the basketball court into private lessons gym which sits empty for the most part. And also a good part of the gym was converted to an artificial turf with tires, ropes, boxing bags, etc which looks nice but is not used by most of the members. Their swimming pool looks old and does not attract the younger gym members. It is used by just a few senior members. The lockers aren't being used by a lot of members since the shower and dry sauna are just very old and small. They have never offered a steam room. With other high end fitness centers like Lifetime and Equinox offering an attractive lifestyle for gym members, LA Fitness seems to be stuck in a nowhere land. Solution could be a total renovation to some of the locations, to begin with, and offering a gym lifestyle very similar to Lifetime, raise the membership fees but keep it lower than Lifetime.

I want to take a moment to commend Alexis, the manager at the LA Fitness I frequent. Her professionalism, dedication, and leadership truly stand out. She consistently ensures the gym is running smoothly, addresses any concerns promptly, and maintains a welcoming environment for members. Alexis’s attention to detail and approachable demeanor make a big difference. Whether it’s keeping the facility clean, ensuring equipment is in top shape, or simply greeting members with a smile, she goes above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable. Kudos to Alexis for her excellent management skills and for creating such a positive atmosphere at LA Fitness! Highly recommend this location thanks to her leadership.

10:36pm I just wanna say! Kudos to the cleaning staff the gentleman in the men’s locker is really holding it down; clean! Even those it’s an older gym. Plenty of machines not too crowded either

The equipment is getting old and worn out. The padding on lots of equipment is torn. Long overdue for repair. The business hours are still very inconvenient. Weekdays open at 5am and the weekend opens at 8am. The only good thing about this place is the cleaning crews are still working hard. Unlike 24hr, it's filthy and dirty.

The machines that everyone needs or wants to use they have only 1-2 of but the equipment no one really needs are all empty so when you go work out there you can never really use the equipment you need to. Basic free weights like regular dumbbells one can buy and use at home. Biking and running people can do outside of the gym. It’s the equipment that people don’t have in their homes that one signs up for at the gym to use. They should get more of those and get rid of the other equipments.

Nimble gymnastics Coaches Genuinely Care, it's not all about the $ like it is at other places... This gym is discipline… but they show the girls love as well. The Coaches inspire our daughter to do her best and gain tremendous amounts of confidence and she looks forward to her gymnastics practices four times a week. I highly recommend Nimble gymnastic training for future gymnasts.

Great gym, good kids and families enrolled, and the coach is well respected by the parents and kids. Just ask them. Also, the coach has connections to international level coaches and gymnasts and brings them in for their expertise and for a fresh perspective. The upper-level girls have moved up multiple levels in a short period of time and have shown continuous visible improvement. Great job coach Paula and the assistant coaches!

Consider carefully before you join this gym. A lot of people have left this gym for a reason. Find someone who has been there before and talk to them before you join. Don’t find out the hard way and have to move your child later.

I have a membership in Chicago that allowed me to come workout here. Place is clean, customer service is great. I didn’t have a problem with the crowd. Everything worked in the hot tub room. I had random conversations with staff too and everyone was enthusiastic about their job. There is 3hr validation for the parking garage if you scan your ticket at the counter.

Life Time Fitness in Orange County is nothing short of phenomenal! The architecture is truly impressive, with a sheer volume of space that resembles an aircraft hangar. It's incredible how much they fit inside this multi-story facility. From spas, pools, and lounges to cafés, powerlifting areas, and CrossFit spaces, they have almost anything you can think of – and more. The layout is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to navigate through the vast array of amenities. Whether you’re looking to relax, work out, or grab a bite, Life Time Fitness has you covered. It’s a top-notch fitness destination that caters to every need, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Great clean club with awesome equipment. The classes so far are just awesome with great instructors like Amanda, Kristin, Ari, Isaiah and Carmen. Also the staff (Celena, Elvis), the entire cafe crew, and personal trainers (shane and darby) are so helpful and professional. The beach club swim area staff are always smiling and helpful with outdoor food and drinks - a very good vibe). So far so good. And just 2 blocks from where I live. Also love the fact that I can use all other Life time clubs (e.g. Las Vegas 2 locations). And no need to pay $300 to $500 for Wework co-working space anymore since the cafeteria area here is perfect as a co-working office to get things done. This club and Club Studio are 2 of the best in OC...

I love coming to Lifetime and spending the entire day at the club. My favorite thing to do and participate in are the classes, especially the spin class with Corey or Karen! The gym is beautiful and well renovated from the previous gym. The men’s locker room is always well maintained and the upkeep is 100%. Stocked towels all the time, replenished shower items and vanity necessities. Adrian is always welcoming, friendly, and greets you with a big smile. He makes the experience memorable and enjoyable. Elvis at the concierge desk is amazing. He knows it all and can help with anything with quick solutions. Thank you

It’s the smallest lifetime I’ve been to. Pool access requires additional fees, unlike the lifetimes on the east coast. It does have an open bar if you are into that type of thing. Maybe it’s a west coast thing but no one is welcoming at all. I barely get greeted on my way in or out. Have to park in a parking structure and is complicating at times. Amenities are limited. Then again, I’m comparing this location to a few of the diamond elites I’ve gone to. Cheers.

Had a really disappointing (understatement) experience at this LA fitness asking Jacob, who I believe is a manager, for help and guidance. His disposition, thoughtfulness, and thoroughness, were so lacking that it was quite shocking. Also, it should be clear on maps that this is a signature location so that people don’t drive out of their way to attend this gym only to be told they have to pay extra. Gyms like this have me questioning more and more leaving LA Fitness. .

I have OnePass, so I don't pay much to go to this gym, but I'll probably never go here again. It is way too crowded and people just stand around and socialize instead of working out. I would much rather work out at my apartment gym than deal with the people here again.

This is possibly the best LA Fitness in the area. It’s very clean, and the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. Unlike many other locations, they offer towel service, which is really convenient, and the showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Overall, a great gym experience!

I had a bad experience with a glasses-wearing front desk girl. She seems old, yet she's a real jerk, racist and amateur. Since my credit card had already expired, I just requested her to change the information on file. To avoid penalties under the LA Fitness policy, you must have a current credit card. I was rudely told to wait on side. After that, she allowed few people to check in and began chatting with a guy. I walked out because I was so angry. She probably feels the same way about non-Americans in general. I contacted La Fitness customer service later, and they changed it in a matter of minutes. Front desk staff really need customer service training. Not sure what “signature” stands for this la fitness where staff don’t know how to talk to customers.

I’ve had the absolute WORST experience with this LA Fitness, all thanks to their incompetent management—especially Jacob. My mom froze her membership while she was out of the country, yet they STILL charged her $75 TWICE. When I confronted Jacob about the charges, his response was beyond unprofessional. He didn’t seem to care about the issue at all and was incredibly dismissive. The customer service was terrible—rude, unhelpful, and just plain disrespectful. I expect way more from a gym this size. If you value your money and your time, I’d recommend avoiding this place altogether.

Cozy building gym. Clean, relatively well maintained though there isn’t much square footage. At least one of most gym equipment and validated parking. Usually don’t have a hard time getting the equipment I need even during peak hours. This is a gym for the business developer trying to network. The opening time is wrong on google maps, no one update it and it is misleading for a long time…actually it only opens m-t till 9pm, and weekend 5pm. I expect equinox to have better time, especially weekends. We are working people, we wish to have more flexibility working out during weekends. Also, some classes only offer at noon time, like cardio dance, those are twice a week, at least arrange one classes in the afternoon, so it can fit working members schedule…

Lack of varieties classes at good times- in early morning or evenings cardio dance, Pilates, barre, any hot yoga, hit classes weekdays. They charge too much for personal training and reformer Pilates. Other studios like club studio has reformer classes that comes with the regular membership. Classes are just cancelled without notice if only few people signed up. Which is not cool if I come from 10 miles away to attend these classes. Even 1-2 person signed up they should hold classes. Weekend classes get pretty crowded since mostly in mornings, they should add more classes in the afternoons and evenings also. They also should have more classes at 7 or 8 pm and open later hours like closing at 9 or 10. The equipments used in classes are not enough or just gross and old. They don’t clean those weights, sticks, belts, blocks, rings, balloons, etc …equipments. They said when I enrolled last summer that they are going to upgrade the locker rooms to digital locks around end of the year 2023. Now we still have to bring our own locks. I feel I’m paying too much monthly now it’s not worth it, and just switch to regular gym like 24 hrs paying $50 a month and I can even bring guests for classes all the time more than 3-5 times a year. Pros- they do keep locker rooms pretty clean, they staff are friendly and the coaches and class teachers are very friendly and good. Classes are good and fun.

My experience with this gym started off on a fantastic note. The equipment is spotless and everybody seems to have just a generally good vibe. The trainers are willing to put in as much effort as you are, and that is a really good driving force at least for someone like me. However, the issues started once I pre-purchased a 12 pack of training session with them. I had of course, given them my credit card to pay for the monthly fees so once I had my last session, I obviously stopped going to my trainer, who I had a very good back-and-forth with. I stopped going to my trainer and we had a understanding that our training sessions had stopped since it was all pre-purchased and that was on the dotted line and everything. A whole month passes and low and behold, they had been charging me each week for training sessions that I never agreed to pay for. What’s worse is that my trainer and I had had many conversations over that month and once I went to him directly to question these charges, all he had to say was talk to the billing department. I felt an immediate disconnect from the staff and immediately started feeling like a number. I discussed this with the general manager of my location as well as a couple people at their headquarters and you would not believe the amount of effort and time it took just to get my membership canceled. The “canceling a gym membership “is a nightmare, is absolutely true especially with this Jim. Next part is that it frankly got sad. A whole six months after this debacle I received a collection bill for an additional $500 from them saying that since I had turned off my credit card after having them cancel my membership, that they had continued to charge me and they put it on my credit. On my credit! After having discussed multiple times with multiple different people about getting this membership canceled. So it just goes to show that even though the face of a company is welcoming sadly there is always something in the back end that comes to bite you. I thought I read through all the paperwork they gave me pretty darn well and am convinced that they are charging me and other people in a… I won’t say illegal way, but frankly it kind of feels like that. so all in all I was only a member of this gym for about eight months and canceling the membership ended up costing me three times the amount. All in all… As long as you have the money to never cancel your membership then you are good, otherwise I would start with a 24 hour fitness.

This gym is falling apart… the 18-25 yr+ girls who work the Mon-Thursday morning shifts are superficial, lack customer service and too busy focusing on their on conversations. I spoke to 4 trainers and they all voiced out how frustrated they were with these front desk girls and their egos. You’re a minimum wage employee, get your shit together. We just want to go the gym, do our work out and leave… The men’s locker after 5pm is a joke too. We had an individual today at 7:30pm on his phone talking confidently w. His Friend “Charlie”…. Isn’t there a no phone policy in the sauna especially everyone being naked? Jesus Christ people have some common sense. It’s time to join LIFETIME FITNESS… it’s better, newer, family oriented and people actually have manners… please equinox don’t bother responding to this… a bunch of us are already leaving your gym and we’re tired of your lack luster efforts. The club itself is good but doesn’t worse the price they charge you for the membership. There are better alternatives for cheaper price. One of the positive benefits is the valet service. Equipment condition is 6 out of 10. Cleanliness is 7 out of 10. You can find basketball courts there and yoga studio as well. General condition is good.

Your club for gym bros in Gold Gym’s singlets, bros whose pockets are too deep for girls to see them for themselves, and boys that build and abandon towel nests in the sauna/steam rooms. The club itself has most of the equipment though it lacks any recent equipment technologies. Usually not crowded but you will normally come across people recording themselves on the floor along with you. Locker room is constantly out of clean towels (probably because of those building nests) and eucalyptus sprays always empty. Steam room is full of trip hazards waiting for a lawsuit. The facilities themselves are not the worst, but the patrons are.

I am writing to express my severe disappointment and frustration with the recent experiences I have had at the Equinox Club Orange County. As a long-standing member since 2021, it is with great regret that I must consider the termination of my membership due to the consistently unsatisfactory service I have encountered. My most recent visit was marred by a series of unacceptable occurrences that have left me deeply dissatisfied. In particular, I encountered significant difficulty when attempting to open my locker. The staff member who was assisting me displayed impatience and aggression when I sought assistance, which was entirely unwarranted given the situation. As a paying member, I did not expect to endure such treatment, especially considering the premium fees of $355 per month. Furthermore, upon finally gaining access to my locker, I discovered that my laundry bag was missing. Despite waiting for over 30 minutes and seeking assistance from the staff, my clothing remained unaccounted for. This is not the first instance of such negligence, as similar incidents have occurred multiple times in the past. The disrespectful attitude and lack of urgency displayed by the staff during this distressing situation have caused me to lose faith in the quality of service provided by the Equinox Club. It is with great disappointment that I have reached the conclusion that I can no longer tolerate such substandard experiences. The recurring issues and the disrespectful behavior of the staff have eroded my confidence in the club.

Here's a revised version of your text: I had ACL surgery about 18 months ago. After the surgery, I completed physical therapy and regained my full range of motion and some strength. However, I was eager to return to skiing, which had been stressful for me since I tore my ACL while skiing. I started PT again with Garret, and he was incredible. He provided great exercises and offered valuable insights into the issues I was facing, helping me make my movements more comfortable. Whenever I mentioned a specific problem, he would address it immediately. After around 12 sessions with him, I returned to skiing, and it was even better than before my surgery. I highly recommend Garret!

I had an outstanding experience at In Motion O.C. during my rehab following ACL reconstruction knee surgery and treatment for chronic back pain. My therapist, Garrett Jay, was exceptional—knowledgeable, supportive, and always attentive to my needs. He developed a customized plan that addressed both my knee recovery and back pain, helping me make remarkable progress. The aides, Cat and Dylan, and Kat at the front desk were amazing as well. Their professionalism, kindness, and encouragement made each visit a positive and productive experience. The facility itself is top-notch, and the team genuinely cares about their patients' well-being and success. Thanks to In Motion O.C., I’ve regained strength, mobility, and confidence. I can’t recommend them highly enough for anyone needing physical therapy after surgery or for chronic pain. Thank you for helping me on this journey!

I’m very happy to be able to write this review. I’m 57 and had extensive shoulder surgery. In Motion O.C. Is close to work so I booked my first visit three weeks after my surgery. I have to say that while I was not looking forward to going to PT I actually look forward to it now. The whole team is just great. Everyone that works there seems to really care about their patients. I was lucky enough to get Madi as my Physical Therapist along with Andrew her amazing Aid. The care and work they both have given me has kept me motivated to work hard to get back to my old self. My shoulder was so bad before surgery I couldn’t sleep through a single night. After surgery I thought I really made a mistake as I was in so much pain with very little use of my arm. Thanks to Madi and Andrew my shoulder is almost back to full flexibility with strength again! Thank you to Madi, Andrew and all the other outstanding employees at In Motion for helping me on my journey back. You guys rock! Highly recommended!

I can't say enough good things about Alan Vogel! This year, I was in excruciating pain due to disc herniations in my back. I could barely walk or sleep, and doctors were telling me I needed surgery. Then I found Alan, and within just a few weeks of working with him, I went from being in constant pain to completely pain-free. His approach is incredible, and he was able to fix me without the need for surgery. On top of that, he's genuinely a great person to work with—always positive, supportive, and professional. I actually looked forward to our sessions each week because I knew I was getting better. Alan is hands down the best therapist I've ever worked with. If I could give him 20 stars, I absolutely would! Thank you so much, Alan!

I've been going to Club Studio Gym for a few months and have found some aspects to appreciate. The gym is equipped with new gear, which makes for a better workout experience, and the facilities including the sauna, jacuzzi, and pool are consistently clean. However, it's worth noting that the gym can feel a bit overcrowded during peak hours from 5-7 PM. On the upside, the daily classes like the hot yoga and boxing are a big draw. These classes are well-executed, though the instructors can sometimes be a bit intense for beginners. While there are positives, if you prefer a quieter gym experience, you might want to consider your timing. Overall, it's a decent place if you can work around the busy times.

their rates are going up to $209 a month for single club access. I was a member for over a year - I've since switched back to 24hr as it's only $25 monthly and I have NO problem taking as many group fitness classes as I want. At $209 a month, you would have to take 15 group classes a month to get the financial value out of this and GOOD luck with that. It was a true struggle getting into classes at CSF not to mention the class descriptions all say they're adaptable at all levels but the instructors will literally stare at you in discomfort vs assist you with any alternatives. Lastly you will be charged $10-15 for not showing up to class or being late.. also id' been charged 2x even after I did show up and had to jump through hoops to be refunded. If you're into cliquey aesthetic gyms and have a generous disposable income, this is the spot for you.

Amazing!! I’ve been going to Gym‘s for 40 years. This is my favorite gym with the most services available. Instruction and classes are/is top-notch. With 5 separate studios teaching classes every hour do you have a choice of CS 4 ( hit program). Spin cycle. Boxing. Yoga. Pilates with reformers. And bounce with trampolines. Gym Equipment is new and in great condition. Plenty of cardio machines. A sauna a spa, a pool showers, clean locker room, and towels service. I give her the highest reviews. And the rehab center is amazing cryotherapy, red light therapy, aqua massage, handheld massage machines, and great customer service. Oh, and did I mention this smoothies are delicious. A founding member I don’t see myself leaving for many more years. Thank you. Club studio, Irvine. #Kevco #KevcoBZ Sincerely. Kevin Smith. SouthernCaliforniaRealtor.

This gym is very nice but for the price you might as well go to lifetime. The main reason I stay at club studio if for their awesome basketball gym and rec league as well as their yoga and box classes. I have been a member for a little over a year now and the locker rooms have seen a massive decline cleanliness. Unlike lifetime you rarely see workers cleaning the showers or steam/sauna. Overall I cool environment and awesome community, but for the price it’s just alright.

Club Studio is top tier. If you are someone who loves weight training with some occasional off days to do a HIIT, yoga, cycling class - then CS is the place for you. The locker room is clean and very nice. If you are a person who would only be here to take classes, I recommend being patient with booking classes as they fill up very quickly and you need to be on top of the schedule. Love the place, the staff, and the fitness class instructors 🤝

The best gym - period! The best way to get into working out if you don't like to work out! Orange Theory will help you with discipline and motivation turning your exercise routine into a habit. I started 12 months ago and within this time period I showed up for the classes more than 160 times which is a record for me (I'm not a natural gym person)! Part of the reason why I achieved this is the fact that it is a 1 hour session, an efficient workout for busy people. OT offers group classes but you still get to personalize your exercise a bit by choosing your weights, speed on the treadmill, etc - so it is a good program even for beginners (and "all ages"). OT Irvine coaches are fun and kind and the gym has the perfect environment to get you going (temperature, lighting, music). I also love the coaches mantras: "I get to do this" (exercising);"Acknowledge yourself for showing up"; "Welcome to the best hour of your day"... Lastly OT's technology (e.g. the app that tracks your performance and tracks your visits to the studio) is really encouraging for me - a great way to plan and manage your "gym days", and to see your progress over time. Thanks OTF Irvine team - 5 starts!

Best fitness concept ever. I have tried traditional gyms with and without trainers, gyms in an apartment complex and the biggest issue is motivation. Orangetheory really helps in establishing a community vibe that keeps you going. You are in a class for an hour - so you can’t just call it a day at anytime. They motivate you to push your self to your limits each session. Also the coaches here are really amazing - love their sense of humor and how they pay attention to your form and help you fix it right away :)

This is my go-to Orange Theory location, and I always enjoy coming here. The staff is professional and friendly, and the coaches are outstanding. Melissa, in particular, is incredible – not just as a coach, but also as a genuinely kind person.

Literally the messiest gym I’ve ever been to… it’s quite embarrassing. This is my least favorite location out of all the Irvine locations for this reason. This location is closest to my house so I go here out of convenience but I dread thinking about having to deal with the groups of high schoolers walking around in flocks and taking up every machine People have no gym etiquette here and throw weights all over/don’t know how to put them back. You’re always looking for the matching pair to a set of dumbbells and there’s never consistency in what’s available. This location really needs to step it up because it’s the grossest one imo

I just moved to this area. I’m a member with lifetime fitness and I tried to come to the gym and the salesman. His name is Sam. He was absolutely rude and not helpful. I would never sign up in this gym. Rude salesman

Everything is messed around, and it took time to find dumbbells. This is at 6 a.m. Nothing has been cleaned since last night. Some bars on the side of the Private Zone are grabbed from outside the private zone and are in use when needed. The incline on several treadmills does not work. Staff do not care about your problem. In comparison to ‘In Shape Health Club’, this is bad enough.

This review is for Armando T, the District Ops manager. I emailed their general email address to request reactivation of my account. He saw my email and caught a “mistake” made by a salesperson of this club. He called me to understand what went wrong, rectified it and gave me my old account back. Armando changed my biased view on how chained fitness clubs are managed. I’m delightfully surprised that at the corporate level it’s well managed and there are people like Armando who truly care about the job, the company and the customers.

I Love Love Love Neaumix!!! My experience from Neaumix is amazing. All the instructors are phenomenal! They are professional and very knowledgeable. Every session is unique and well prepared by the instructors. Only problem is I moved to Houston 4 months ago and I have tried diff. Pilates places but still can't find a pilates place that is as good as Neumix. Very sad and frustrating. Neaumix is the only thing I miss from California. I highly recommend Neaumix! Shout out to Cezie, Lexy, Sara, Lauren, Noelle and Becky/John!!! Love you all!!! Miss you guys so much!!! *Eunice and my mom Jane*

Love coming to this studio. All the instructors are so good, but even more so, are so helpful. I am newer to pilates and this has been a great experience for me and I will continue to come for sure. Love the studio and love the staff!

This studio opened recently close to my home, so I tried out their free first class offer. Walked into the nice clean studio as a Pilates amateur expecting a relaxing hour of stretching and lengthening. What I got instead was an hour of sweat dripping down my face, muscles shaking with fatigue, and an instructor who kept asking us to give a few more repetitions each time my eyes darted desperately to the clock to see when this torture would end. All joking aside, If you’re looking for a Pilates studio that will help you with toning and strengthening, this is for you! I’m sure the the other yoga or stretching classes they offer are probably more in line with my couch potato physique, but I will be back for more reformer sessions so that I can tone up and stop embarrassing myself in class.
