I’ve been a member at Crunch Fitness in East Brunswick for a while now, and I’m really happy with my experience. I usually go early in the morning, and the gym is always clean, which is a big plus for me. They have a great variety of equipment, so I rarely have to wait to use what I need. The location is super convenient, with many stores nearby, so I can shop after my workouts. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Whether you’re new to working out or experienced, this gym has everything you need. Highly recommend!

Group classes at Crunch East Brunswick are excellent! The instructors are amazing, very positive and full of energy, constantly motivating everyone to work hard and do their best. Lynn, Missy, Daisie, Nicole and all the instructors do a phenomenal job. I joined Crunch a year and a half ago and my experience has been awesome thus far. I am constantly recruiting new people for classes as I had never taken group classes before at my old gym and now take 10-15 per week because the experience has been so great.

I’ve been working with a few different personal trainers for a year now at Crunch East Brunswick and I’m so happy with my results. Most recently, I started working with Lynn F. She is absolutely the best trainer I’ve ever had. The workouts that she has me do, push me to another level. We are really working on my core strength. I’m almost 50 and I’ve been super focused on just getting healthier in 2025. I know that with Lynn motivating me, I will reach my goals. She is the best role model!!

What a phenomenal work out experience I have at Crunch Fitness East Brunswick. The front desk staff are well-trained and patient, as well as being very informative. The gym has a lot of great equipment. Couldn’t imagine working out anywhere else. And their training staff is awesome! I would recommend doing their complementary fitness assessment!

I’ve been going to Crunch East Brunswick since they opened up. It’s a great club with lots of great classes. The HIIT classes are top notch with great instructors. If you need personal training that’s the place to go. I’ve been working with Lynn for the last month and feeling great. She takes the time to teach you what you need to do when your sessions are done, so you can come back the next time with more accomplished on your own.

I've been to this gym before, but now everything has become much better. There are new treadmills and an exercise bike. Lots of new sports equipment. As always, it's quite clean and comfortable. The employees are very friendly and professional. There is a swimming pool, a sauna room and much more. You can also visit many different classes here. Large parking lot where it's convenient to park your car.

I dont understand that why this gym has low stars. Gym is really big and workers are really nice. But some machines are bit old and need to be maintained.

Women bathroom always stinks like pee and this is what I ran into. They were two toilet like this They need to hire someone to clean the bathroom. I did hear that two people applied and still didn’t hire them. Why is that when you need the help or is it the management is trying to pocket the money And still being able to tell people to give them a good review by taking their phone so what’s really going on here. You need to change new management so they could care more about the gym not the money in their pocket it make sense why the kids gym got shut down they were so many kids that where going there unless they weren’t putting in it there system to shut down and have more money.. new management please. There’s a few women in that gym that agrees about this.

When you walk in you always are greeted by Lisa OM on weekdays, even if she busy .This location the hot tub is a perfect temperature Hot , compared to other locations. The sauna runs between 180-190 hot and relaxing after a good workout wish other locations would run at that temperature thank you Lisa

Fraud Alert. As many have said, it's true. They charge your card months after you cancel. Funny thing is, they shot themselves in the foot. Canceled in October at the end of my membership. They made me physically go there, and I have the email confirmation. Thought about rejoining, but not now !!!! - Jan 1, three Fraudulent charges. Their "made up" annual fee, and two $5 charges. After wasting way too much time trying to get someone on the phone to help, I had to dispute the charges on my card, and get a new card issued so they don't have access to it in the future. I can't wait for someone with a lot more time than I have to start a "Class Action Law Suit" against them for Fraudulent charges. YOU DID NOT HAVE PREMISSION TO CHARGE MY CARD !!!

Facility is clean and workers are nice. However, the equipment needs a complete overhaul. I’ve seen other planet fitness that have a way better variety of equipment and also have upgraded machines. This location does not have that. There are other locations that do a way better job with the machines.

Unfortunately I go here because it’s on my way home from work. The workers are very nice but the equipment is terrible compared to the other planets fitness I have gone too.One fly machine and it’s been broken over a month. The place needs a complete upgrade like the other planet fitness I have gone too. New machines decline and incline machines peloton etc. very disappointing compared to others.

Literally the first time I had to use a locker without a lock someone went in my bag and stole all my cash on Christmas eve and now have to cancel all my cards. Earlier in the week i left my hat and they said they found it but then went missing from the actual lost and found. 4 year member done. I'm so disgusted.

Girlfriend never went, tried to cancel within the first 20 daya, but had issues with app.. Called to cancel and they keep sending to app. So, now they are trying to charge me $300 for never going. They also never mention it takes 15 days to cancel so that free 20 days is really only 5. They make it so everything is automated online, basically meaning "sorry, the system is set up that way, we can't do anything from our end." Avoid them if you are unsure about trying a gym or not.

As a loyal customer (10 years), I must say that the polite, selfless and mature attitude I bring to the Jersey Strong Gym in East Brunswick is not reciprocated. Every year I pay in full and ask them to include the $160 annual fee. When I was informed that the annual fee was taken out leaving me short 2 months, I said I would pay the 2 months (same as the annual fee.) I was told to pay a $10 late fee. Not being aware of the financial proceedings, I challenged the fee. The manager who seems to have a personal problem with me threatened to terminate my membership and made no attempt to solve this small problem in a diplomatic matter. Quick to abuse his "power" I was spoken to like a bully would speak to a child in middle school. The manager totally lacks communication and customer service skills as well as an absent presence and focus on the gym. Equipment lacks quality (of which there is limited amount) and numbers on the weights are often missing. I am a very conscience member: I always wipe down the machines when finished and always return the weights to the rack; leaving the machine empty. If I'm on a machine and another member wants to use it, I simply go work on another machine and return to that machine later. Given the above mentioned, would you like to be treated with such disrespect?

So I think the “free” trial they claim is just to lure you to sign up for a membership immediately. They convince you you’re getting a good deal , say it’s free end up paying $33 and don’t even have membership for a month yet and get charged the 25th of the month which hasn’t even been a complete month. What was supposed to be 45 . They tell you that you have 10 days to pay but I get charged $60 . My app says it’s $100 for next month. What’s up with all this money being charged? I feel like all this info isn’t mentioned when you’re signing up . Also sales guy said the fitness diagnostic is only for members but I think they only do it to convince you to sign up for a personal trainer so they opt out. I think I’m paying for that and I haven’t even seen one. On top of all that which I haven’t even had for that long and I’m already getting issues, Jersey strong charged me $15 fee for tailgating when it was my first time going late and my spouse who is also a member phone was dead. I feel like I shouldn’t be charged that. I wasn’t even aware. The door says non members. We’re both paying for memberships. All this is ridiculous . Please do yourself a favor and sign up for LA instead . You can get all state access and $40 a month for you and your spouse . I really regret signing up because now it feels like I’m being overcharged and probably gonna keep getting billed different amounts . Why is it saying $100 for next month? Nobody explained any of this to me. I don’t like the misleading going on and they should also update hours on google maps because I’ve drove to different locations just to find out it’s closed and gas is expensive. I like the gym but I’m really disappointed with all this and I don’t think anybody really cares either after signing you up. I don’t feel strong , I feel weak and taken advantage of.

John, the training manager, really made this place great. He was always helpful, always smiling, very positive, always keeping the place nice and organized. I was disappointed to hear he was moved to another location. Also, Kaylee is a great trainer. She’s sweet, patient, and knowledgeable.

They just can't stop scamming people since they started as WOW. Still shady and fraudulent. Tip: Instead of trying to scam members with fees + mysterious fees + hidden fees, and more fees, Just say it's $90 a month to use our old and broken equipment in our smelly facility, and to deal with our rude and ego inflated staff. Simple

I have been attending the SS classes on M, W, & F as well as the Stability/Balance class on Wed after SS for almost 2 years. I was a little disappointed when our previous instructor did not return in September, but I am now really enjoying our new instructor, Debbie, who came on as a sub for the summer and is now permanent. She gives us a head--to-toe, whole body workout. We use weights for strength training which is very important for bones at our age. She teaches us what part of the body the exercises will help and the correct way to do them. As this class is made up of mostly seniors (60+) who have varying abilities, we are able work at our own pace in a safe environment. Also, since falling is a big fear of mine, I feel the balance classes have been helpful.

Do not go to this racist camp I will be leaving out my own and my kids name for privacy reasons. And please excuse my poor grammar and use of language. Previously, the summer of 2021, I have enrolled my kids in this camp so he can socialize with other people and overall, have a good time. So imagine my anger, when both of my kids say they were getting mistreated from the other kids. We are of Asian American descent and since the COVID-19 pandemic, Asian/Chinese discrimination skyrocketed. Both of my kids had reported that other kids were picking on them and calling them derogatory and discriminating terms that I will not repeat. They have reported those incidents to the counselors which they failed to do anything. I have told the head counselor about the situation which she was unconcerned and negligent about. The next day, I have gotten a call about one of my kids getting into a fight. I arrived there and was met with my kid and the head counselor. The counselor explained to me that my kid can no longer go to the camp because of the fight and refused to give a refund. I asked my kid about it to evaluate the situation. It turned out that the other kid took the ball that he was holding and refused to give it back. My kid told the counselor who failed to do anything. When my kid tried to forcefully take it back, the counselor intervened. The other kid did not get into any sort of trouble except for my son. I went to the camp next day to unenroll my other kid. Overall, this was a bad experience for my kids. I do not recommend going to this camp

My daughter started going here when she was 9 months old. And today she is 7 and l must say this is the best thing what happened to us. She learned everything from Y whether it’s manners, life lessons or about education. She did Pre-k also here and when she went to kindergarten she knew all the things before. Now it’s her 3rd year going to the summer camp and l am so happy for it. She likes the camp so much she never wants to come back.

(PT.2) - There is way too many things wrong with the Raritan Valley YMCA in East Brunswick, New Jersey. One of the gym doors is broken and extremely easy to break in to , they still haven’t fixed it and it’s been years! There is a cockroach problem in the toddler room and the infant room that was not properly taken care of. They had a molding problem in the Pre-K room on the walls and the baby room closet walls, and the mold got painted over instead of being properly removed. The above ground pool is no longer with us , this is because it was rusting pretty bad and the director decided to paint over the rust. This caused the pool to collapse during a camp day while one of the younger groups was swimming. one of the counselors had to rush to get all of the kids out insuring they didn’t get hurt. There was a mice problem and instead of getting pest control, they got mouse traps and put a couple down. The staff was over worked, sometimes they didn’t take breaks and most of the time they were working over the amount of hours they were allowed to be working, and not getting paid overtime or at all for those hours. They did this mostly to minors ! The director, Gina Stravic, ordered a staff member to ask a Spanish speaking American that was at the Y , if they were LEGAL. Gina intended to pay them under the table for janitorial services if they were not. The man who drives the bus during the summer often hits curbs while driving kids to and from the Milltown pool and the Brookside pool. Most of the front desk workers rotate and change very often and they do not know who belongs in the Y and who doesn’t, and without any type of security system or cameras, this makes the Ymca an unsafe environment to have 100+ children inside of. I could go on forever about the hazards this place has , and these poor kids that go here should be withdrawn until the director and management fixes the unsanitary and unsafe environment that the Raritan Valley YMCA is.

We love Center Stage. We have been with them for 13 years. Both my daughters started there around four years old. They are now both company dancers. The teachers there are wonderful and very talented in all areas of dance: ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. They all have a creative approach to every dance they do. The staff is great. They are always friendly and very helpful. This is a wonderful place to dance and become part of the family..

As a Center Stage alum, I’m proud to send my daughter there as a second generation dancer. She has grown so much as a dancer, and every year I am blown away as I watch the recital to see how talented all of the Center Stage dancers are. Her teachers are the best in their field and have nurtured her love of dance while enabling her to grow and develop in multiple styles like jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop and acro. Her fellow dancers are not only talented and hard working but they are also genuinely good people who are all supportive of each other, and she has developed wonderful friendships at the studio. Center Stage is her happy place and we love being part of the CS family!

We have been at this studio for many years. My daughter who is 9 started when she was 2.5. She started in the intro to dance class and has now moved on to a company dancer of various styles of dance. My son who is 7 did a class when he was about 3 and a few various types through the last 2 years has finally decided hip hop is for him. My kids love dancing here and the staff and teachers are all amazing! I highly recommend centerstage for all dancers!

We’ve been part of this dance school family for six years, with our twins on the competitive dance team for the last three, and we couldn’t be happier. Despite being a large school, they manage to maintain a close-knit, family atmosphere. Everyone knows each other, cares deeply, and they genuinely treat clients like family. A special shoutout goes to Jonathan, who has made this studio not just his business or career but his life’s work. He puts every bit of himself into making it an incredible place. His passion and dedication are what make this studio truly grand. Sue deserves all the recognition for shaping who my kids will be for the rest of their lives. She’s left an imprint on every member of my family, and she's the reason why my girls will never stop dancing. They’re so fortunate to learn from her, as she’s not only the best teacher but also an incredible human being. And to the amazing Front Desk team—you’re so much more than just staff. You’re everything for our girls. From a hair tie to a hug, a word of advice, or even a firm nudge in the right direction, you’ve always been there when they needed it. This school offers every form of dance you can imagine, along with gymnastics, musical theater (complete with vocal, instrumental, and acting classes). They create well-rounded performers, helping students develop into dancers capable of making a career from their education here. The opportunities are endless, with custom classes and programs tailored to each dancer’s needs. The teachers are nothing short of amazing—professionally trained, highly skilled, and passionate about what they do. Their dedication is reflected in the fact that the studio regularly wins top awards at competitions, with their dancers consistently being some of the best trained. The competitive team itself is like an extended family—there’s no drama, just supportive and nurturing friendships that last a lifetime. Our kids love being there, and despite the long hours, they see it as a reward, not a chore. Most importantly, the directors truly listen to the parents. They care about feedback but always prioritize doing what’s best for the kids, and it shows in everything they do. If you’re looking for a place where your kids can thrive, build friendships, and become not just great dancers but great people, this is the place.

SETS EB is truly an amazing place. The structured workouts are great for anyone w/any level of exercise experience. I have been an avid active person for most of my life & the SETS workouts just hits different! It’s equal parts sweat inducing & fun! Coming from 1st hand knowledge, the moves are completely modifiable. The coaches are great w/giving me alternative moves on certain exercises w/my limited mobility. But what makes SETS East Brunswick truly unique are the coaches themselves & the environments’ sense of community. It’s not your typical gym. It’s a lifestyle. The coaches (Will, Kim, Aaron & Mike) truly are there for you. They motivate you. They push you. They guide you. And each one is so friendly & encouraging, that you almost forget that they’re pushing you towards your goals! The people you meet do the same! It’s a great form of self-accountability. I’ve just hit my 3-month mark & I’m proud of the progress I’ve accomplished & the physical changes I’ve seen in these 3 short months! The amazing coaches & the people I’ve met there are all a bonus to the positive feeling I get every time I complete my workout. But don’t just take my word on it. Try the SETS 21 days for $21. Then you’ll see for yourself. You might just see what you never knew you were missing out on! That’s how I got started.

Ever since my gym closed in 2020 after Covid, I’ve been searching for a place that truly challenges me and keeps me accountable. After a few failed attempts at other gyms, I finally found that place in SETS. The instructors are not only incredibly supportive and patient but also genuinely passionate about fitness, consistently pushing themselves both in and out of class. There’s no goofing around during sessions—they mean business, and I genuinely appreciate the focus and effort they demand from us. I highly recommend this location!!

Having participated in a variety of group class gyms throughout decades of fitness, I can easily say that SETS EB is a great choice for anyone looking for a fitness routine that’s structured, non-intimidating (zero ego), effective, and fun. You’re in and out in 50 minutes and you’ll get out of it what you put into it. I enjoy that every day has a different focus and a different format that’s suitable for all fitness levels. Every movement is modifiable to suit your abilities and help meet your goals. The coaches are enthusiastic and they have a wide variety of class times available to fit your schedule.
