Fitness Destinations is the best place I've ever worked out at. The trainers are amazing, they teach you, hold you accountable & push you to be better, stronger & healthier...there's no settling here. I attend 6 am classes & do personal training with Jocelyn & see Gayle for nutrition, all the services they provide are affordable. Everyone is fun, positive & supportive...it's like family here, I absolutely love this place!

Absolute best environment to work out in a class setting or with a personal trainer. It's a family atmosphere, my wife and children both exercise here frequently. Within the past two years, I've learned so much more about my body and the need for functional exercises as I'm getting older. I love this place.

I started here at Fitness Destinations several weeks ago with the help of the owner Jamaal and Jaquwon (personal trainer.) I can tell a big difference in my weight, eating habits and my endurance while exercising!! Ja’nea, one of the personal trainers who does one of the classes…has truly help me push myself through some intense exercises while we jam to some great music! The vibe is unmatched!! The staff all very welcoming. Come check them out!

I absolutely love Crunch Steele Creek—it’s hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. The vibe is so welcoming, with an energy that makes working out fun instead of a chore. The staff is friendly and always ready to help, and the facilities are top-notch, from the variety of machines to the spacious workout areas. They offer a wide range of classes, and there’s always something for every fitness level. What really stands out, though, is the community feel; everyone there is supportive and encouraging, making it easy to stay motivated. It’s a gym that really gets it right, combining a great atmosphere with everything you need to hit your fitness goals.

Very nice facility. They have every toy you can think of. The facility is clean, the women's locker room is clean and the staff is friendly. It can get pretty crowded. Especially in the evenings and Saturday morning. The crowd meter on the app does not work, it would be helpful if it did. You can check in with the app and book classes. Classes get booked REALLY FAST. I expect it will get less crowded and classes stay available longer the longer the gym is open. Overall, I recommend this gym!

The Crunch Gym at Steelcreek is fantastic and staff is very cooperative especially Yalitza. The Gym is hygienic , machines are new and absolutely safe. 😋 Hydromassage, Crayotherapy and commpression chair are another level.🤗🤗 I think 5 stars are lesser to evaluate this gym. Its 10 out of 5. 🤩🤩 They do have offers online for first month free and 1 cent is enrollment fees. 🤑🤑 🥰🥰😍😍 Mukesh Bhayani

Yesterday, I re-joined Planet Fitness. I am a previous member but decided to try another gym with more frills, but after a year of realizing I was not going to regularly drive to it since it’s too far from home, I went back to Planet Fitness. When I walked through the door, I stood at the counter where the guy stood texting on his phone until my husband, who is a member, had to get his attention after we had been waiting a couple of minutes. I told him I wanted to rejoin since the ‘join for 1 dollar’ was ending and I didn’t want to miss it. He went ahead and helped me although it seemed like I was a disturbance in his day, and he would have rather not been there. There was another young guy who ended up helping and he was not much better. He didn’t even offer me the fob for my key chain-my husband also had to speak up and ask for that. Although it wasn’t the worst customer service I have encountered over the past month, it definitely wasn’t the best. I know it’s a good value because of the low price, but if there was a more convenient gym that was even slightly higher, and this is the kind of service that I received on a regular basis, I would opt for the slightly higher one. Hopefully moving forward will provide some better experiences. I guess we’ll see.

The people that work there are extremely unprofessional. Also they have double charged us for months, because our primary payment method was recently updated however the secondary payment method was still valid. Be careful when you join, because canceling membership for any reason can be a hassle. Even a quick Google search on Planet Fitness' business practices reflects this

Planet fitness takes advantage of their memberships. I cancelled the membership before i got charged for the month and they still proceeded to try and take the money out. First two times didnt go through. Third time a couple weeks later i see a charge for $40! Its been in “pending cancel” for an entire month! I dont recommend. They also make you come in person to cancel instead of offering an easy way to cancel over the phone or online. They try to justify it by saying “oh well we charged you but you can still come to the gym for the remainder of the month” like im not cancelling bc i dont wanna go to that gym anymore. I havent been to that gym in over a year and because of my mental disability would always forget that i have to go in person to cancel. Horrible experience.

Very rude ppl. The assistant manger is very rude and hostile. She doesn't know how to have customers service. When asked a question or deal with a task, her voice has aggression. She throws around her title like she owns the establishment. The restroom is always dirty, no sprays inside the showers to clean or disinfectant. Addressed some issues to the manager but he didn't seem too concerned. Only two staff that work there are very friendly and greet u and tell u to have a nice rest if ur day. Other ppl just watch u and stand in the corner and be on their phones. Especially the so called assignment manager. She won't greet u or smile. She looks rude and is a rude person. Bad person to represent ur company. SMH. I will NEVER come back to this place ever again. Canceling my membership and trying out a new place.

So, online it states that you are open. It is currently 4:12 PM. I am looking for a new smaller place to work out at. So, I wanted to check out your location and get pricing. Doors are locked and there literally was someone sitting at the front desk looking at me try two doors. That person never acknowledged me or tried to see what I wanted. I guess whatever they were typing on their cell phone was more important. What a way to run a business. I literally sat in front of the business and typed this review before pulling off. SMH!

Unfortunately this gym has since gone down hill. The equipment is great and staff is so nice but the influx of teenagers past 6pm has given this gym a bad rep now. From being loud in the locker rooms and the sauna (in groups) to hogging equipment (still in groups), if you go after 6pm it’s essentially high school. I think the gym would benefit from a 21+ up type of membership system. I am canceling my membership due to this now becoming a high school locker room.

You will not get the value or level of service expected at the price-point.We were two years. There are MANY treadmills that do not work properly and have NEVER been fixed. Overall attitude of staff is they are there to talk with friends and workout free and you are an inconvenience. Considering the fees are 10 to 15 times a place like planet fitness , what are we paying for? Broken machines? They have T shirts for sale`in the lobby. Green T shirt $79.00. They recently put in massage chairs, however at 327.00 a month my family can't use them. They are for people that pay more for the privilege. They are now remodeling to make room for more chairs no doubt. They removed 50 plus machines overnight. I asked if they were getting new treadmills? The front staff had no idea. I voiced my frustration. The person at the desk responded with a long YEAH. Like I know but what can we do it's the DMV right? After two years waiting for new machines and nicer people I canceled and bought my own treadmill for the cost of one month : )

Great location especially on a busy afternoon. Staff has been one of the most friendly out of all the lifetime fitness locations I have visited! Was a bit busy when I was there and couldn't get a squat rack but looks like there is a strong Olympic lifting community there. The parents with small children parking was something I have only seen at the Charlotte and Raleigh locations but should be a standard for other lifetimes. Again one of the most friendly staff I have experienced out of all my travels.

Toured this gym thinking that it would fit my needs more than my current club. It was FILTHY. I was disgusted by the locker rooms, bathrooms and main gym area. I asked our “tour guide” if that was how the gym was and he seemed to not notice any issue. With the condition of the areas I could see I would never trust the food serving areas or the pool water to be sanitary. This place was appalling. I’ll be staying at my current club. Yuck.

Delisa Johnson at the YMCA has truly been a remarkable asset in my experience. Her dedication and commitment to assisting with teenage adjustments and program involvement have made a significant impact. Delisa goes above and beyond in her role, demonstrating not only a deep understanding of the challenges faced by teens but also offering tailored support and guidance that resonates with them. She assisted in setting up our new membership for the teens and has done an amazing job making us feel at home. The YMCA has a gem in their membership team

Was at this location today for my workout. The gym monitor thought I was doing individual training session. I explained that I wasn’t and he seemed to have understood after me explaining what I was doing and that I wasn’t telling other kids they couldn’t use the floor because I was there. We did talk and he seemed to have understood. I went on to explain that for the year and a half plus that I have been working out at this YMCA, for them to have had this rule supposedly already established, I sure have seen people, maybe dads or their trainer with son or daughter on and off training and I’ve had to move to another court or wait until a later time to use the courts. And today, there actually was someone over there training some kids. I’ll just sum this part up by saying I hope YMCA you are being equal and fair in regard to this personal training rule. However, while in the gymnasium today, again, there were kids just throwing the basketballs across the court for no reason and also throwing them to hit each other. After explaining to them twice, why that’s not safe for anyone in the gymnasium and someone could get hit and/or hurt by doing so, they stopped. This goes on quite frequently by older kids as well as younger. It’s not comfortable for those kids and even adults that may be in the gym trying to get a workout themselves. God forbid someone get blind-sided because of the carelessness and negligence of someone else. Some kind of rules need to actually be enforced somehow so that everyone who uses the gymnasium is aware of them. Finally, in the men’s locker room while showering there were several older kids playing and tossing the metal stools around and I happened to see a kid attempting to throw one over top of a section of lockers to the other side. I suggested to them not to do that and that someone could get hurt or they would break something.

I attempted to visit this gym as a guest with my friend, who pays for a membership that includes guest privileges. We drove 25 minutes to this location, only to be turned away by an employee named Justin, who refused to allow my friend to bring me as a guest. My friend is new to the gym and didn’t want to go without me, which was very disappointing. It’s frustrating that he couldn’t utilize the benefits of his more expensive membership. I hope management addresses this issue. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and questioning the value of the membership.

I have been working out with Emma Carico, my personal trainer, for about 4 months. She is by far the best trainer I have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and teaches me how to properly perform my workouts for the best results. I am grateful for her because I see a tremendous amount of improvement in my form, muscle definition, body shape and overall physique. I would not have been able to get these results without her. She is an amazing trainer and person! Always making the workouts fun with her great, bubbly personality. She pushes me to reach my potential and always motivates me to keep going, building my strength and power. I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking a well experienced trainer with a great personality who also provides personalized guidance in every step of your fitness and training journey. Love training with her! I am in the best shape of my life and it's all thanks to her.

If I could give a zero star I would. Been a member at this Crunch location for the better part of 4 or 5 years. There are several things about this gym that I have disliked over the years. The main things is they seem to go through cycles of trying to up sell you on Trainers. The trainers will flat out interrupt your workout to try and sell you their services... very rude and annoying. They always approach you like they want to be your friend... no thanks. I can put up with that though. What unfolded in the past three weeks has been nothing short of the worst customer experience of my life. I have had a series of charges show up on my bank account from Crunch Fitness Ballantyne that I didn't authorize. It happened a total of 3 times over the past three weeks. The first time I went into the gym to address it. Talked to Zander (a manager). We were both cordial about it and he said he would have someone higher up reach out to me because he couldn't see the charges on his end and didn't know what was going on. I never head anything from the "higher up". A second charge showed up about 3 days later. Brought it up to Zander's attention again in the gym. Again... "you'll hear back from my higher up". Never heard anything. I disputed the charges with my bank and moved on. Then today I get a third charge. Now I'm getting irritated.... No one at the gym can tell me what's going on or how to stop it. And no one is willing to look into it deeper. Called the gym and talked with manager Justin. He actually accused me of lying about the charges on the phone. Told me to come in and show him my bank account with the charges. Told him I would be there in 15 minutes and he said "ok, I'll be available until 10". Everyone at the front desk was busy so I found some other employees near the front to ask for him. There was a group of 4 standing together and when I asked for Justin the one girl cracked a joke "He quit this morning". I responded back "I not in the mood to joke right now". Then the trainer she was standing next to, Kevin, started berating me for being "rude" saying “you can’t come in here with that attitude” and told me to "go find him myself". Like seriously? Stating that I don't' want to joke triggers you that much? It was really weird and incredibly arrogant. I responded by saying "I'll be cancelling today and mostly because of what you just did". His response was, "ok, good, I don't care." Like am I in the twilight zone?? One of the other guys standing there did direct me to Justin who was sitting at a nearby table in a public area near the front. Justin actually did get to the bottom of where the charges were coming from... not sure why Zander couldn't. Their system was allowing a member who I don't know to charge to my account (not really clear how). During my talk with Justin I went into further detail on my treatment when I arrived and he actually portrayed me as the bad guy and his trainer as the victim. Stated that the trainer felt threatened" by me.. uuhh.. My statement was directed to the girl next to him explaining that I didn't want to joke around with her. That is threatening to the guy standing next to the girl I was talking to? Guess explaining your mood to someone is threatening? And threatening to all individuals anywhere with in ear shot? Bizarre. Justin would not apologize and actually stated, "I will always defend my employees" and then accused me of "invading his space” when I approached him… Ummm... your the manager of an open establishment that I am a paying member of, you were in a public area of the establishment, you knew I was coming, you said your were available, and you were on duty...... Beyond me how approaching him was is inappropriate. How about all the times my personal space was legitimately invaded when your trainers interrupted my workout to try upselling crap that I don't want? I cancelled my and my daughters membership on the spot. Will be spreading my story as much as I can on social media. I have never been treated so poorly and so unprofessionally. It was truly mind blowing.

Very nice facilities, especially if you want a large pool, clean main locker room, a ladies only fitness room, and a walking track. The entire place is surrounded by big glass windows, so the lighting is very good and gives the place a cheerful feel . It also boasts a reasonably large free weight area with smith machines. And plenty of benches, too. There are two heavy plate loaded leg press machines, a set of chest press implements, a nice heavy set of pull racks, and a few other machines of some heft... although most of the others are lighter duty. The cleanliness of the workout area can be hit or miss, as is in the upper floor bathrooms. However, generally that is not the case. Speaking of floors, there are three - accessible by elevator or stairs. There is a racquetball court and an area for classes on the second floor along with all of the weighted and resistance implements and most of the cardio stuff; the first floor is reception/sales, a small lounging area, the ladies only workout room the pool and main locker rooms; the third floor is a walking track and some more cardio machines. Friendly greetings at the door used to be somewhat lacking, but lately that has vastly improved, and there have been no issues that have not been resolved quickly. The operating hours are a bit limited on weekends ( currently open at 8am sat/sun/holidays - - - 5am on weekdays ) but I have to say that they usually don't close altogether on holidays, which is a boon for people like me who have only a few days off themselves. Parking is ample, and there are several good places to eat in the same Toringdon complex, and its very close to Ballantyne. As far as 'fitness' gyms are concerned, I rate it pretty high, and I like the place, and recommend it.

The building outside looks nice, but once you get inside is a big disappointment. I have never been in a gym so dirty like this LA Fitness. People pay for a membership and LA Fitness can't even keep the place clean at least the minimum, no matter where you look will be dirty. Floors, equipment, bathrooms, mirrors, windows, glass stairs, etc…. You can see they don't touch anything in a long long time to clean it.

leg extension machine from precor broken so they didn’t fix it just removed from gym but not replacing it because they said there are two other leg extensions machines however they are terrible so now you can’t work out your Quads muscles. All the work out equipment is old. Everything in the building is original equipment. The building is like 20 years old. everything needs to be upgraded. The drinking fountain was leaking and they did fix it. However, when they replaced it, it’s not filtered water anymore. not all of the treadmills have TVs mounted to them and the ones that do there are very small amount of channels to watch. The restrooms are usually dirty and not cleaned on a regular basis. This gym just needs a total makeover.

I really enjoy going to this gym. It’s large with lots of cardio options I never see even half full—maybe a third? Lots of weight options including a 30 minute area that’s smaller and for me feels less intimidating and an easy simple circle of machines. I also enjoy the extras for some members that includes massage chairs, hydro massage beds, red light therapy, and a couple other things. Highly recommend. I see all ages and abilities here and the front staff is super nice.

100%my honesty. Pros are usually not too busy, chill staff, semi clean. Cons as you can see in all these pictures as of very recent there are numerous machines that have rips in them which can cause infections. Also there are a few machines out of order due to most likely the entitled rich parents kids coming in there and not giving a damn. It is ballentyne so it’s expected smh. People usually mind their own business and people are pretty cool usually. There’s times it is a little hotter then it needs to be in there. Bathrooms for the most part are sorta clean. Men’s rooms smells like body Oder at times. One of the faucets in the men’s room has been broken for 4 months now. Sometimes the paper towels are empty so it gets annoying. If they can fix these things it would be a very good planet fitness. Time will tell.

The gym and bathrooms are always clean and it’s never too busy. Braylon and the front desk staff always make you feel special every time you walk through the doors.

Your facility is Clean, Neat, well laid out.My wife and I especially love the 30 minute workout room, and the other room next to it (the grey room). I love all your endless "cardio equipment".....We are now Fans of Planet Fitness. The only suggestion I can make:Your dispensers for hand cleansing are usually "empty", and there is a need for more of them. When I am in the 30 minute room, I have to walk to another part of the gym to use one, and it's always empty. I then have to walk all the way to the front door, which is how far apart they are. And, disinfectant wipes are far more functional than the "paper towels and squirt bottle"....I know that costs you money, but those paper towels are worthless.

Sarah’s YMCA is a GEM in Ballantyne! An adult only YMCA, this building is beautiful! Tons and tons of sunlight, cardio equipment, weights and squat racks, an indoor and outdoor functional area. Group fitness classes are fantastic, a room designed specifically for hot yoga, and a studio for small group and individual Pilates equipment classes. It’s my happy place!

I go to a lot of the hot yoga classes and they all kick my tail. The facilities are incredibly well kept super clean and there's no kids around.

In a fast-paced world where personal wellness often takes a back seat, Sara’s YMCA serves as a haven where individuals and families can prioritize their health, connect with others, and give back to the community. With its outstanding facilities, diverse programs, new equipment, strong sense of community, and unwavering commitment to service, the local YMCA offers an enriching experience that transcends the traditional gym membership. It's more than just a place to work out—it's a place to belong.

Sara's Y is great for what it is. It has the right amenities for a great workout. It has a solid supply of functional fitness equipment and bumper plates, jump boxes, slam balls, a sled, and great cardio gear like the skiier, rowers, the self powered treadmill, and air assault bike. I've been at many different hours and it's been busy before and after work hours but never overcrowded. Staff is super friendly and does a great job!
