The Slow Flow class with Melissa at Flux Yoga was such a great experience—fun, challenging, and just the right mix of beginner-friendly and pro-level sweat. Melissa made it easy to follow along while keeping things interesting for the more experienced yogis. Walking in for the first time felt surprisingly welcoming—like stepping into a group of strangers who somehow already feel like friends. Big shoutout to my friend Eden for inviting me—seriously, you have the best recommendations!

My experiences at Flux Yoga have been nothing short of excellent. For one, the instructors totally rock. Each has their own style but professionalism and positivity is a mainstay. From a rejuvenating Slow Flow to a sweaty Cosmic Flow to a relaxing Yin practice, there is a lil’ something for every yogi. And while the quality of class and lovely Flux community is what keeps me coming back, the cool lavender towels and incredible ocean view are a fantastic bonuses 😉😊

This review is honest to my personal experience. I had one free class to use, and I won’t be returning. -for context - I am a yoga instructor myself. I’ve been practicing since 2012. I’ve been taught by countless instructors of varying styles/lineages. I’d like to start with the good things: The studio (a single spacious room) is beautiful with pendant lighting and walls lined with great big windows sporting a nice *partial* view of the bay (we got to enjoy a fabulous sunset as we flowed). The room was toasty and cozy, outfitted with many heaters hanging from the ceiling. The staff is really friendly and helpful upon checking in. The teacher was youthful, vibrant, and kind. The not-so-great (in my opinion): -They assign spaces for you to practice, which I personally think is very weird. I want to be able to choose who I’m practicing next to - especially as a female. -I signed up for a “Slow Flow” class and this class was far from slow. This was a strength based, quick paced asana flow. Think one breath per motion. (Spare a few moments of exception, for example: the full on strength building portions where we did abdominal work, and extended chair pose holds) -The cues were not great. Often confusing/inaccurate. -The flow was not, in any way, designed to be accessible to bodies of varying abilities or sizes. It wasn’t a safe class. Modifications were not offered. Props were never encouraged to enhance safety. No alignment cues were given. Adjustments were not offered. This class was designed for the body type of the instructor (lean, strong, youthful, flexible). -There was no >>building to apex poses (advanced poses). No strong base/foundation was ever established. Apex poses were sprinkled in throughout the flow willy nilly. {in this “slow flow” the following advanced poses were crammed into one hour: an absurd amount of warrior threes, standing splits, crow (while everyone was dripping sweat?), wild thing, full camel, revolved hand-to-big toe pose} -Props and Modifications aside, even for strong, flexible, youthful, lean bodies (like my own) many of the transitions offered throughout the asana were outright dangerous. I could have seriously injured myself multiple times throughout the class. I don’t usually look around the room while practicing, but I did in this instance. Many people were struggling. Many people had >very

As a beginner in yoga I absolutely loved this class and location. The place is so modern and it is so well located that you don't hear outside noises like traffic. I loved all of the instructors and their different styles of teaching. There are a variety of classes and their schedules are perfect. 👍 No other place in Bellingham area has met this level of quality and professionalism. 10/10
