LA Fitness

If I could give 0 stars I will, Went here today after pausing my 2 years membership on June,2024 (because I was going to get surgery) to now find out the new owner is now LA Fitness, but that’s NOT the problem … The problem is I paid for a 2 year membership (almost 600$). To now being told they don’t find me in the system, and that I should call a number, like really ? What a joke, besides that there’s not cleanness anymore, the bathroom was disgusting and a lot of machine broken and it bad shape , this was a good gym when it was Xsport. At this time I don’t mind to loose my money since I don’t want to go there anymore, I’ll see if I can get a refund a least ? Don’t waste your money and time .. go elsewhere!

I have been coming here for 2 years on and off and it has went downhill. The only perk is the pool and closeness to home. There's so many broken machines (granted it's getting better in that department), and the gym isn't 24/7 no more after the acquisition of Xsport by LA fitness. Cleanliness is also a major concern of mine and it seems to be getting better, but there's always room for improvement. Only giving it 3 stars because the staff is much nicer now.

Now LA Fitness One of the main reasons I joined this gym was because it was a 24 hour gym Now, it's not. I'm busy with school n my family, so I sleep late. Sometimes, I hit the gym at around 1 am or 3 am in the morning. Most likely I have to resort to buying a few weights to workout at home but it won't be the same and it will be expensive. I can't believe this, I was finally feeling confident again after pregnancy literally destroyed my body and confidence.

I decided to give this gym a try since it’s part of La fitness. First of all, the workers in reception are always on their phone, they don’t even make sure that you even check in (keep in mind that I went to the gym 4 times around 6 pm and all 4 times the receptionist were on their phone). At this point, anyone can walk in! The staff are very unfriendly and seem to be on their phone or joking around with one another , not doing their jobs. First time I went, I wasn’t even given a tour of the gym. There’s no staff walking around making sure that the weights are in place. Bathrooms are dirty! I haven’t seen anyone clean the bathrooms last 4 times I went. Free weights are scattered around, hard to find them. Limited free space to work out with weights! Please do better! At this point, planet fitness is better. The only good thing is the classes!

I use to come to this gym 3 years ago and it was one of the best in the Bronx but they definitely fell in attention to details Disgusted , disappointed and honestly ready to leave to Levels gym. Since I re activated my membership 3 months ago I come early in the morning to miss the morning rush and The weights are always all over the place and the bathroom is really Filthy. Looks like there no extra hands on deck.
