Shari is amazing. I am a nurse and I believe she knows as much or more about body mechanics than most physical therapist. I am 76 years old and still working, and competing in ballroom dance with Shari's help. I take my grandchildren on trips and tree excursion courses, zip lining, white water rafting, etc. While I have maintained strength and stamina to do such things with Shari's help, co-ordination has never been my strong suit :) Last year I tore my meniscus on a fall. Following surgery I looked to Shari to get me back to dancing. My surgeon was very impressed with my recovery. I highly recommend Shari, not only for general strength and stamina training, but also for her expertise with injuries. And for the topping on the cake, she is a "nyce" person with a great sense of humor. Thank you Shari.

Shari is an extraordinary Pilates master. She is very knowledgeable about body mechanics. After performing the exercises and eating healthily, I have felt stronger more energized than I have in years. I thank God that I found her, and I pray that she stays in business for many years to come. Shari is the best Pilates instructor, hands down!

Shari is a wonderful and kind Pilates instructor. She sees the individual in everybody, and adjusts her instruction to suit your specific needs. She has an extraordinary knack of understanding your body's needs better than even you do. She can be compassionate and take her students through post-surgery rehab, or she can laugh and push your body to its limits. Her studio has the highest quality of equipment in it (from Balanced Body), and she keeps it in the best condition. I have been so lucky to be her student for 9 years (and the only reason I've stopped is because we moved to a different state). She is good at challenging her advanced students, and is able to nurture the novice students in a way that makes us all feel comfortable. She has improved my body's form in a way that nobody else ever has. The majority of Shari's students sigh in relief when they find her, and then stay forever. She is simply that good.

One remarkable thing about Shari is her ability to work meaningfully and successfully with people at every level of fitness & wellness. She's sought out by serious athletes at their physical peak, and she's equally effective working with people who are addressing injury, physical limitation due to illness, or are just out-of-shape. I think there are some people, from training & experience but also by some inexplicable extra sense, who just understand bodies on a deeper level. These people are rare, and Shari is certainly one. I have recommended her to a young athlete looking for focused core training, a couple of folks who didn't think they could work out while recovering from surgery or an injury, and number of older people looking for a way to work out that will change their health and their bodies without hurting themselves. It is not the cheapest way to work out, but please don't confuse what you get from working with Shari with what you might get from a pilates class at your gym. All that to say: I really can't thank Shari enough for her work with me, and if you're thinking this might be something you want to explore, I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Shari is the best Pilates instructor I could possibly imagine. I had tried Pilates before her and didn't think much of it, but Shari has 25 years teaching experience and really understands the whole body and how to customize training to what you need. I went to her after knee surgery because I was having trouble rehabbing my knee without aggravating some arthritis, and she has helped me strengthen in ways that don't cause any problems for me. She has the knowledge of a physical therapist and can help with all kinds of physical issues, but she can also kill you (in a good way) as a personal trainer—IF that's what you want. At 43, even as a prior serious athlete, I am stronger and more toned than ever. She is also fun to be around while she's working with you. The physical therapist for my knee had suggested Pilates to me but said, "Pilates is only as good as your instructor." Shari is THE BEST, so if you want to do this, go to her!
