Fitness Factory Health Club Palisades Park

I joined about 2 months ago and so far so good. Friendly staff and a fairly big open space. It’s also three floors! The astro turf is definitely my favorite part because you can stretch and practice hand stands. As others have mentioned in their reviews, there are some wear and tear on the machines and some shower heads did not work last I tried but I have seen them replace and upgrade matts time to time. I just wish there was more of a culture of people putting the weights back after use, especially for the senior citizens and people new to the gym. There isn’t any central weight rack so you’re constantly borrowing from other machines and a lot of the weights end up by the floor or on the sides of walls, it just get a little cluttered which then takes up space. And as always there is the high school bro crowd after 3pm and the work crowd after 5pm but that’s almost every gym. Also I personally love that they have lots of windows, lots of dumbbell areas and general location. It’s walking distance to a lot of near by yummy food and shopping areas. Prices are decent too. No issues yet for me crossing fingers…

I understand the shortcomings because the price is affordable, and I’m making good use of it. What more could I ask for at this price? I’m completely satisfied and even feel grateful to the owner.

I had a terrible experience with this gym. I spoke to two different front desk representatives in advance to cancel my annual membership. On the very last day, I double-checked to confirm the cancellation. The lady at the front desk assured me that everything was “good to go” and even mentioned that she had made a note in the system. I thought everything was taken care of. Two months later, I discovered that they were still charging my account. When I contacted the manager, I was told that I needed to fill out a form to complete the cancellation process. I was never informed about this form at any point during my interactions with the staff. Instead of taking responsibility, the manager blamed me and said it was my responsibility to complete the form that I had never been told about. This is by far the worst and most deceptive experience I’ve ever had at a gym across the entire United States. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place to prevent similar issues. They do not respect their customers and seem more focused on squeezing extra fees than on providing honest and transparent service.

Best franchise gym in north jersey. Great value on their all access pass for those that travel in the area. I highly just discovered this one and I'm so happy I did. Dean, their GM, is an absolute gem. Above and beyond does not do his custom service it's proper due.

Gym is filthy especially bathroom/lockers, but it's close to me. Retro Fitness has better equipment, is cleaner, and cheaper.
