The Freehold Y summer camp is an amazing way to spend the summer. My two kids (7,8) had a great time and this was their second summer there. The best part is that they swam twice a day. The staff was equally amazing and really got to know my kids. I really enjoyed drop off and pick up too because everyone was so upbeat. It was a great time all around! Highly recommend!

Unfriendly staff! I wanted to stop in to shoot around for about 30 minutes before a basketball game less than an hour before closing. A middle-aged woman at the front desk stopped me, demanded I pay $20 for an entire day’s pass, and wouldn’t let me check out the court to see if it was too busy for my liking to begin with before shelling out $20. Completely pushed me the wrong way and even though I’m not considering ever becoming a member here, I won’t be considering ever coming as a guest in the future either.

Attention to detail. Although was a group, it was a small group and felt like a one on one session. My child felt very secured and trusted her instructor. She looked forward going to class. Learned techniques that she practiced at home. Best lesson. This facility was worth the drive

This was my eldest daughter's first year at big kid camp and she absolutely loved it! Every morning she was greeted by welcoming smiles and excitement to start the day. At pick up she'd fill us in on her day and couldn't wait for the next one. Her stories and the hello high fives have made my two other ones stoked to join in the fun next summer! The field trips were also great experiences. As a parent I was super comfortable and knew what to expect as communication with Kim and Malcolm was excellent. Everyone who worked or helped make this camp what it is has done an amazing job and my family is so excited to come back next year! So much love and joy and passion. Thank you to Kim, Malcolm and the entire staff of YMCA summer camp!

Just a heads up for people trying to sign up, courts are mostly occupied by pickleball 4 out of 7 days at the most convenient time and they can kick you out of the gym bec they pay the "premium fee", talk about "non-profit organization" but money talks right? They don't even give you the updated schedule just by this picture taken today 12/26/2024 when i spoke to their manager. This isn't even posted on their website so I'm going to post this for transparency purposes so the rest will be aware esp those who play basketball just to show what they can expect before they sign up for a membership. If this was posted on their website, I would have gone somewhere else. The main reason we signed up for the winter is to utilize the basketball court bec it's too cold to practice outside. I saw 4-6 parents with kids who came in this morning to utilize the basketball court and got turned around bec the whole basketball court is occupied by pickleball, def unhappy customers that have to work around their posted schedule. It seems like they generate a good amount of money from those pickleball players to come up with these rules. Complaints will just go to deaf ears since they pay a "premium fee". But hey, it's non profit. Just be advised when you bring your kid to the court esp young ones. The teenagers that play around here curses a lot and the management just shrugs their shoulders about it even though their office is right where the court is. Rules and regulations are just there for props.
