If it is your first time trying Pilates and are nervous about it - this is the place for you. The coaches are all very welcoming and sweet. They have high energy and are there to help you in anyway without calling you out like other studios do. The studio is so clean. The only downside is they only have two locations, love it here !

I attended my first (and only) FS8 class on Sunday January 19th with Coach Kourtney. I’m glad that the studio has a free class promo so I just have to be sad about my wasted time rather than money too. The studio has a lot of windows and natural light which is pretty but unfortunately also gave good lighting to how dirty the mats and floor were. I also unfortunately touched a very suspicious sticky spot on the reformer. The format of the class could’ve been nice if it was executed better. I attended a FS8 remix class which was half gentle warmup/ Pilates and half reformer exercises. There are ample tv screens that show the exercises between the reformer machines. One coach cues the exercises while the “main” coach in this case, Kourtney, was presumably supposed to come around the class and offer modifications and corrections. This did not occur. Kourtney just said hi to her friends or select class attendees during the class and literally sat on the reformer machine during the first half Pilates portion and would just chat and catch up with her friends. I’ve attended a lot of studio fitness classes and I’ve never experienced anything like this. It was extremely distracting and a bit rude. I was never acknowledged once by her or offered any corrections/ medications. This is the first reformer class that I’ve ever taken where the springs were not cued or suggested at all. The coach that cued the class checked in with me afterwards and was kind but I told her that the vibe was bad and briefly explained how I was not a fan of the coaching style. She was very kind but it wasn’t enough to make up for an overall horrible experience. Update: FS8 never reached out to me beyond this comment about the incident. I got a generic text checking in if I had scheduled. I referenced this review and the incident then never heard anything again.

So far I am having a great time exploring my physical capabilities and increasing my strength and stamina! I am not only reaching my goals but I am having fun doing it in such an inclusive environment. There’s nothing like starting my day with Pilates with the team at FS8, they’re great!
