The ambiance was perfect for a yoga class. Everything felt clean and new. The music was empowering just like the flow. The teacher was very kind and helpful, I loved the cool towel at the end too. It was a fun hot yoga class. Will definitely be back next week

First Impressions Pro: When you walk in, the environment is welcoming and is like stepping into an oasis of calm. Clean, airy, and inviting. Everyone is super friendly and the instructor is willing to answer any questions you might have. Con: None. Great first impression 10/10 The Class (only tried Uplift so far) The room where the class is held is dark with soft lights, set at a warm temperature, soothing scents, music, and no mirrors. Pro: The lighting is really dim so it's easy to not feel judged or self-conscious. It creates a safe space to really feel out your practice and go with what is comfortable to your body, without the pressure of trying to keep up with or compare to others. Con: As a beginner, it's difficult to follow the flows and different movements without being able to see them clearly. You will feel very lost. (Attending a class several times will make the flows/sequences more familiar and easier to follow) Pro: The music choice is excellent and the tempo allows for you to move with it and create fluidity within your movements. Con: I might just be hard of hearing, but for me personally, the music was just a little too loud and made it difficult to hear the instructor. Pro: There's a section of the class, where after you go over a specific sequence a few times, you're then left for the space of a song or two to either practice the flow at your own pace or incorporate your own movements. This is great beacuse it really allows your yoga practice to meet you where you are at on any given day. Con: If you're a beginner or didn't catch the flow, it's a little confusing. Pro: The class is physically engaging without making you want to pass out and quit. Just enough to push you but still feel like you're within your capacity to complete the movement. You will definitely feel it afterwards. Con: Might not be the best for beginners since there isn't a lot of modifications or clear direction on alignment given. (Could have just have been my hearing though) Pro: It smells great. With a group of people all exercising in an enclosed space with the temperature cranked, you'd expect it to get a little stinky, but whatever they use, it smells AMAZING and doesn't distract from the practice. Con: None. Smells great 10/10 (The have a cool towel that they place on your forehead at the cool-down portion of your practice and it is literally chef's kiss. Smells like lavender and something else I can't quite name. The cold is refreshing and they massage/press it into your head. Best. Thing. Ever.) Pro: The instructor (shout out to Ashley Nelson) is well informed and creates and peaceful, encouraging class that really pushes you to try just a little bit harder. Super friendly, engaging, and just a really likeable person. I caught her after class and she was incredibly helpful. Answered questions, and talked with me about the different classes the studio provides. Con: None. FANTASTIC instructor 10/10 Random Opinions - Great location on Main st. Easy to find and close to town. - Their App is intuitive and user friendly. - It's easy to just practice yoga at home and definitely less expensive, but going to a class in person provides a sense of community that you just don't get otherwise. Great people to make connections with and build each other up. - Uplift is a great class to start a Saturday morning out right. Physically challenging, but leaves you energized to take on the day. As far as I can tell, the classes don't fall under any specific type of yoga, i.e. Yin, Hatha, Ashtanga, etc. Undecided how I feel about that, but I enjoyed the class I attended today and am looking forward to trying out their other classes and coming back for another Saturday morning Uplift yoga practice. :)

I have had the best experience with The Yoga Studio! This studio is always clean! The teachers are incredibly welcoming, kind, and mindful of you as a person and student. I love that it is a hot yoga studio and they are always willing and able to make accommodations if the heat is not your thing. I always feel cared for and safe in this space! I have nothing but good things to say about The Yoga Studio!

I became a member at The Yoga Studio after my first class! I had terrible postpartum depression after my third baby and this place really helped me emotionally and physically during that hard time. It’s unlike any other yoga I’ve been to; great music, caring instructors, and a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere. Great for physical and mental health and I highly recommend it to everyone!
