This review is only for absence of progress updates and structured assessments. My daughter was eager to learn gymnastics, so my wife signed her up for the weekly class at Wildfire Gymnastics in Lake Forest. Initially, it was great with a lot of kids and a well-equipped facility. However, after five months, we decided to drop the class due to a lack of progress updates and inconsistent coaching. Each time the coach changed, my daughter had to start over, which led to boredom from repetitive tasks every week. Taekwondo classes have belt testing days to assess levels. Ice skating classes have 10-week programs to assess skills. My kids can prepare what they have learned. Surprisingly, Wildfire Gymnastics lacked a structured approach. When I asked the reception desk about moving our daughter from Level 1 to Level 2, they mentioned it depends on the coach, revealing a lack of standard assessment and testing days. Additionally, it seems there may be a shortage of coaches, which could be causing intentional delays in moving members to different levels. Advice to Management: Wildfire Gymnastics should consider implementing X-week programs for different levels, with clear training goals and designated testing days, instead of letting parents waste money on something unexpected. It can better serve their students and parents.

My 3 & 6 year olds love going to the camps at this location. More recently, I was super duper impressed and thankful on how they made our daughters birthday party a huge success for all guests. 3 girls (Kate, Stephanie, & ??) we're on site watching over roughly 30 kids. & they were on it from all angles from beginning to the end. They made themselves present upfront & offered to set up. They were great with the kids whether it came to corralling them for a game, even getting them to look at the camera for a picture. Finally, they were fantastic about cleaning utensils & getting things out the door while others oversaw the guests & helped them with the equipment. Our expectations were beyond exceeded!

My son is 6 and has been in jr. flames for six months and has learned absolutely nothing. That wasn’t a huge deal for me since he was getting some energy out, but also slightly disappointing. But then they tried to charge me a fee because of a communication error on their end and that really rubbed me the wrong way. Own the error, don’t tell me about the “policy” you forgot to mention, two hours before the “free” trial class I was offered, which was now no longer free. My son is now trying out the tumbling class but I will be pulling him out if he doesn’t learn any basic skills within the next month or two.

As a parent of three daughters who have been part of Wildfire Gymnastics in Lake Forest for several years, I've seen firsthand the exceptional growth and development they've achieved here. The facility is immense, boasting top-notch equipment that caters to a wide range of abilities, from beginners to national-level athletes. The coaching staff has been a significant factor in my daughters' progress. Their ability to scale demands and training intensity with the children's age and progression levels is commendable. However, it hasn't been without its challenges. We've had to provide critical feedback at times, particularly regarding the amount of time spent and some instances of classes ending early. Despite these hiccups, the overall quality of instruction remains high. The environment at Wildfire is both nurturing and rigorous. The coaches push the children to work hard, instilling a strong work ethic and discipline from a young age. This approach has yielded notable improvements not only in their gymnastic skills but also in areas like confidence and teamwork. I've been particularly impressed with how the academy tailors its programs to individual needs. Whether it's catering to my youngest daughter's recent potty training or adapting to different coaching styles, they've shown a remarkable ability to ensure each child's comfort and success. Moreover, the impact of Wildfire extends beyond gymnastics. The structured learning environment has unexpectedly enhanced my daughters' speech and reading abilities, a testament to the holistic approach of their training. The facility itself is a wonder, akin to a professional gym with its vast array of equipment and space. It's a place where children's dreams of gymnastics glory seem tangible, underscored by the array of trophies and accolades the academy has garnered. In summary, while there's room for improvement in certain operational aspects, Wildfire Gymnastics offers an environment where children can thrive, learn, and excel in gymnastics. It's a place that truly challenges and nurtures young athletes, preparing them for both gymnastic success and life's many turns
