Absolutely loved the space and Rebecca’s Stretch Flow on Mondays even more!! Very clean and nice. A little hot but they opened the windows right away. Rebecca is so wonderful and just what I needed after an eventful weekend.

I felt right at home in the Magic on the Mat session. At certain points, I did feel like I was moving with magic, almost like I was floating. The instructor was incredible and helped me to listen to my body first and the yoga second. I had so much fun even through the stumbling and wobbling.

Very cool space. My son and I visited and attended a vegan cooking class. Too bad we live so far away.

The Fire Flow class with Florence was a much needed start to my Friday and weekend. So amazing!

Love it. I've tried hot yoga at other places including other chains and this is THE spot. It's super clean, the staff are so friendly, inviting and warm people and the facilities are great. My favorite class is Yin especially with Derek. He really brings the mind and body connection to a focus in your practice and brings such positivity. The community here is great, nothing feels too instragrammy,. It genuinely feels like a safe and accepting place. Highly recommend.

I love this studio! All of the staff is caring and kind, while the instructors push you to be the best version of yourself. I particularly love Ilan's classes, as they are high energy, fun, and hard. You will walk out drenched in sweat, but with a smile on your face. Also, the Yin classes are great after a tough workout or different class.

I absolutely love this hot yoga studio! The teachers are fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. The positive energy in the room is contagious, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. The studio’s ambiance is calming, and the heated environment helps me deepen my practice. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, this place is welcoming and inclusive. Highly recommend! 🙌🔥

Love this yoga studio. The facilities are immaculate and the instructors are so kind. I’ve really enjoy practicing here. Edit September 2024 - I have to lower my review bc they got rid of all the power 1 clases during the week which doesn’t feel very trauma informed. They said they did it to make the classes more accessible but it really feels like the opposite. The yin classes are great tho but not everyone wants or needs to do the most when they practice yoga.

I’ve tried multiple hot yoga spots mainly for 26&2. What I love about hot 8 yoga and what made it the spot I come to is their variety of classes, they offer so many different classes and different variations, so it never gets boring! They have so many different locations and allow you to visit them with the same membership so it creates more flexibility if you have a busy work schedule! No excuses! I definitely recommend signing up or at least trying their welcome week!

CorePower is amazing, it is a great way to start your day. Joshua is an excellent teacher and makes an activity as hard as this one to be enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place for everyone.

The location is convenient inside the USC Village market/mall The parking is downstairs in the parking garage , lots of covered stalls available. Don't forget to get your parking validated. I believe this studio give a 90 minute validation (most classes are 60 minutes) The yoga studio looks like it's been here for awhile. It's taken care of but I wouldn't rank it in the nicest of the core power yoga studios that I've visited ( across the country). Although it wasn't my top pick for CPY studios, it seems to be popular/busy and the teacher was friendly If I was a student or lived nearby, I would find it helpful to be so close and also love that it's next to Trader Joe's! :) And Lululemon.

Really inexperienced college student instructors. They make older people feel uncomfortable/like we don’t belong. Agreed that this is not a supportive environment for people of color or anyone over 25. Music is really out of line for the sculpt classes. Other CPY locations are better. This one is very odd. I agree that Bella C.’s class has inappropriate music as I was in the class last week. How does a company that touts “diversity” have so much salacious and derogatory music in their classes? Just because it’s a college campus doesn’t mean management should shirk their duties. Seedy…

Left this place because Maya and Bella are horrible, immature, inexperienced instructors and Joel is a bad manager. A lot of people clearly don’t like them either. Yelp reviews for this place are horrible. It also smells very musty inside all the time and a few girls got Covid from this place. Go to equinox instead.

I attended Shaun's Death Workshop last Sunday. It was very enlightening & informative. I appreciated and liked the collective sharing and connecting at the beginning of the workshop. It surprised me that it brought up an actual joyful memory for me as a child that was connected to Death. Shaun has such a wealth of knowledge regarding Eastern & Religious philosophies so it's a beautiful privilege to be learning from Shaun. I loved the sound healing at the end and the very powerful gong she played which brought some uncomfortable feelings. It gave me the opportunity to feel and transmute through the transformative dissonance. Thank you for providing the workshop. It's so wonderful that you provide workshops and breathwork classes like this because it is a reminder for me how sacred Yoga is in my life and as a practice. Namaste

Super glad I found this place. I’m just getting into yoga (only done it a handful of times before) and I’m a little taken aback by how welcoming the teachers are…. Welcoming like I’ve never experienced before. My first class was here was C2 with Amy, I made a mistake and showed up at the wrong place for my next visit and Sydney was incredibly patient and kind in helping me figure out the schedule/class types, and I just finished a HPF class with Ken. The actual yoga class is amazing but there’s a whole separate appreciation for the culture of this place. This is what I needed in my life and I’m really glad I found it!

Took the C1 class with Kayla yesterday. Was looking for a relaxing no heat class, it feels like everyone ONLY does heated Yoga now and forgot about non hot yoga…sometimes your body just craves a less intense yoga experience 🤷🏻‍♀️ and she most certainly delivered! The playlist she had was also great, just what I needed for my day of self care and renewal. Thank you!

I know how important reviews good or bad can be for any business being that I work in the fitness industry's upper management level. I have been to this studio twice and each time the experience has been great. My first visit to the studio instructor gave me a quick tour of the studio and informed me what I needed. I come from studios that have all the thrills like huge lounges, locker rooms, modern features etc. But I enjoyed how this studio was to the point and focus on the class. I was not expecting it to be a heated class but I was able to complete the 45 min. Today I did a C1 class with Ken J, I thought it would have been too much of a challenge but I was very wrong. Great instructor, funny and helpful with correcting the form as needed. Defiently will try his classes again and C2.

I booked a 4pm class on 6/27/2024 at 4pm, and waited at the studio from 3:40pm-4:15pm but no staff was around. The teacher no-showed and the studio was locked. This left me and 6 other students who had booked the class stranded. Worst of all, it wasted all of our time. We called CorePower for assistance and they did not try to follow-up or make this right at all.

I recently took classes at this studio. All of the instructors did a great job of incorporating a wide mix of moves, and provided appropriate challenges and alternatives for everyone in the class. Particularly great were Ken and Olivia. Highly recommend attending this studio and their classes!

I recently spent a weekend here. It was just what I needed to recharge and reset. The ashram is beautiful, peaceful, and every part of the house exudes peace and love. Both swamis were kind and welcoming. The yoga classes are traditional Sivananda. I loved them. I enjoyed each morning where attendees would meditate together at sat sang and then we would chant. The energy created in the satsang regulated my nervous system each time. If you want a weekend of true rest, come to the la ashram!

I have been here for three weeks for a retreat, it’s a great time to talk with swami and practice everyday. When there is an opportunity to remove the ignorance in mind, there comes the intelligence.

I have spent almost a week in Sivananda Yoga Retreat, LA. Beautiful place and felt the peace in every inch of the retreat. Swamiji and the staff are very friendly and they treated me so preciously and very gentle and respectful. The yoga classes were very well taught. They have one on one sessions and also they have a massage room. Interiors and exteriors are super clean all the time. Plenty of space to take walk in the backyard and just beautiful trees and plants which were well maintained. The food was delicious and the kitchen was very welcoming. I was able to attend cooking class which was great. I highly recommend this retreat if one wants to recharge, relax and experience the inner peace. Fell in love with the place and people. Looking forward to go again and attend the various events. Great people, great vibes, great ambience, everything was super amazing. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for everything Swamiji and the staff. 🙏🙏

I had a wonderful stay at the center, the Swami and her supporting team, are knowledgeable, kind and wonderful guides in all the practices. I arrived at a time of deep grief in need of some space and time. I received all of that and more from the people, the center the environment of peace that is and around the center. I quarantined on arrival to keep all safe and well at this time. My quarantine actually became a beautiful and unexpected start to my stay, a lovely room, a place to meditate and space for Yoga reading eating, you have access to all the centers programs on line, Yoga Meditation Satsang, workshops. There was a lovely light flooding in every day and direct access to the outside space at the center where you will find the yoga deck, the gardens that hold space for fruit giving flowering trees, a very amusing nut busting squirrel, birds singing, a real oasis of calm and rest. During my quarantine I was delivered three healthy beautiful meals a day, which nourished my body and mind, I am home now and I just made one of the Prana bursting soups that was prepared for me in the center, a new firm favorite now, I received a gift of time, to go in, inside me. Thereafter I joined inside and outside on the deck the offerings from the center to further support my healing. I will certainly be returning to the center

The place is located at a very nice neighborhood in LA. It is still peaceful with all the horns honking on the busy roads, but it does transfer you to a whole new dimension. The place has some random stuff collected by Swami on display, which is nice but I am not sure of the authenticity. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, and ready to make accommodations for you even out of their control. It was a pleasant experience overall :)

This yoga studio has been such a peaceful retreat for me. It’s the perfect little escape from school life :) The instructors are so kind and welcoming. I had the chance to take Bennett’s classes during the holiday season, and she’s amazing! I always leave her class feeling calm, peaceful, and incredibly grateful to have found her at this studio. She truly cares about everything happening in class and in the studio. She creates a warm and safe space for everyone by paying close attention to each student and offering thoughtful, hands-on adjustments filled with care and love. She even helped me overcome my fear of inversions. Her creativity turns movements into fun activities, making the class feel lighthearted yet grounding. Her cues are always clear and spot-on, and everything she says resonates because she’s so genuine and heartfelt. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to practice yoga regularly. It’s such a wonderful place to grow your practice and find peace 😊

Hey there, Just wanted to share my experience from the 5 P.M. yoga sculpt class with Anabel. I’ve done a ton of yoga sculpt and yoga 2 classes in Corr Power, but honestly, this one didn’t feel like yoga or sculpt at all. First off, the room was so packed that it was uncomfortable and didn’t have that vibe I’d expect for what we’re paying and is felt always. Plus, the music was super loud techno, and Anabel was basically shouting into the mic to be heard, but it was so muffled no one could understand her. Everyone was just guessing and copying each other, which feels risky for injuries. Honestly, calling it “yoga sculpt” feels off – the only yoga part was a random downward dog here and there, and ending with “Namaste.” As someone who loves both yoga and sculpt, it’s disappointing not to have a class that actually blends the two. You have other people that do this that are great. I actually had to leave early, which I never do. Just hoping you’ll consider these points to keep up the quality of the experience. Thanks!

WOW! I took a C2 class with Maddy R. & it was an amazing experience. She guided us through the flows so clearly, which really helped me as a beginner. Her class was very challenging but she offered many alternative positions & encouraged the class to be proud of themselves even if they had to modify. I left feeling so uplifted & strong! Thanks Maddy, I will be coming back to Corepower Westwood!

Yoga sculpt was the perfect combination of yoga postures with a more physical workout. The club is well placed and friendly welcomes the guests. Bravo

Annabelle’s class is extremely hot and humid. She doesn’t let anyone to open the door for a second to breath. It could cause heart attacks. Her voice and music is not recognizable.

Love this studio for practicing yoga. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. Hot 8 yoga also has a great mix of classes, some challenging and others are less intense. It’s great to have those options in one location. Parking garage on site, which is easy and they offer free validation. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this studio! First and foremost, it's easy to find and get to which is rare in LA. There is a parking lot where Hot 8 yoga validates the first 2 hours for free, and also ample street parking. The studio itself is clean, the staff is always friendly, and there's plenty of amenities to ensure you're feeling your best throughout your entire experience (lockers with locks, towels, face wash, lotion, etc.) I primarily only do Sculpt classes here and they are amazing! They are so so challenging, but whenever you feel like you're about to give up, is usually right when that specific exercise ends. The classes are usually packed which is a great indicator of how much people love these classes. Tiffany is an exceptional instructor who is not only a great teacher, but comes across as an even greater human! The other yogis in the class are always encouraging, judge-free, and kind. Can't wait for my next class!

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile.

This is a gorgeous space with very friendly but extremely mediocre teachers. I think Modo has their own approach to sequencing which is pretty basic, repetitive, and honestly boring. Cues are confusing and no attention is given to alignment. There's no spirituality whatsoever and no attempt at honoring the yoga tradition. Teachers should be given permission to infuse their classes with some creativity and some yogic wisdom! Anyway, the classes are always packed so it's just not for me. It definitely follows the LA yoga trend of increasingly basic, inauthentic gym workout yoga.

One of the most beautiful and relaxing Yoga studios I have ever visited. This is the third Modo Yoga location I've seen, and they hold their standards high in every location. I live in Santa Monica and was in DTLA for my jury duty. I decided to book a session here via Class Pass and am glad to report Modo Yoga is Class Pass-friendly in every location. Lorenzo at the front desk was friendly and helpful. He helped me set up an account and answered any questions I had. I love to come early to find parking and set up my yoga mat near the door, where it's a little cooler. You can tell that Modo Yoga is selective with the teachers they hire to teach at their locations. The instructor, Carly, was simply fantastic. The room is hot and quiet, but you still feel motivated! What I love about Modo Yoga is that their facilities are just top-notch. The women's changing room is spacious, with plenty of lockers, clean bathrooms, and six showers. The place is clean and neat. -Free Parking -Class Pass friendly -No cell phone in the hot room -Take your shoes off as soon as you step into the studio. -Breathe and enjoy your Yoga practice!

Over the past two years, ROAM LA has become like a home to me. The space itself is warm and calming, and feels more like an intimate place of true practice than a sterile corporate studio. I’ve taken classes with six of the instructors, and found them all to be excellent - with a deep and thorough understanding of anatomy and sequencing, and each with their own brand of unique and supportive energy. Highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a true home studio on the East Side.

This is my absolute favorite yoga studio in Los Angeles. I started attending Roam classes in 2019 and I love them for the spirit and humor they bring to close. Jenn and Chad are amazing teachers and they set the tone for the whole place. Everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and good at explaining for beginners or long time practitioners. Go for the great classes and stay for the community and love!

I am so grateful to have Roam in my life. This studio has become my second home - I can’t imagine how I would’ve gotten through the last two years without it. I leave every single class feeling connected to a beautiful community of teachers and students who keep me grounded. Some of my closest friends teach here and from the bottom of my heart this place is a temple of warmth and clarity that doesn’t exist in other studios on the east side. If you haven’t taken a class - you absolutely should and learn from the most wonderful teachers in LA.

ROAM LA exceeded all of my expectations of a yoga studio. While there are hundreds to choose from in LA, the staff, atmosphere, and classes were unlike any other. The community they have fostered is beyond warm and welcoming. Their staff is well-trained and super kind always looking to help. I am truly obsessed!!!

I am new to the area and was looking to find a studio to continue my practice. Unfortunately, this studio is not as warm or welcoming. Nor do I feel it was as inclusive as I had hoped for. Which is a shame because they do have one really sweet and caring instructor (Zoe) that has an amazing way of leading her practice (and does make you feel welcome). And Although I did enjoy her classes, I cannot say the same for the other classes I attended (I tried different instructors at different times). Classes are great, but the overall atmosphere is equally as important to me and I did not find that combination here. I would still recommend to give it a try and see if maybe you have a different experience.

The sixth Modo studio I have visited and quite possibly my favourite! A very welcoming atmosphere. Loved Kristian and Sabina’s classes!

I should have looked at the reviews when I went to the business. I couldn't find the parking lot, and I arrived at 3:01. They didn’t let me in. I was a minute late. I understand their policy. But first-time customers are disappointed. They wrote that there is a parking lot, but there is no parking. They made me look for 10 minutes. Compared to the policy, they appear to be not professional

There are a million other yoga studios that are better and less pretentious than this place. For a yoga studio they don't have any leniency. I was literally 3 minutes late and they didn't let me in. I've been to another Moda before and they were slightly better but this one sucks. I drove 25 minutes to be there. Took me 5 minutes to find parking and they were not even a little bit understanding. What I got from my Saturday: 30 dollars gone. 1 hour + lost. Mental health worst and overall not happy. 0 stars if I could

Such an amazing yoga studio. Great mix of class types and times to accommodate all levels and schedules. Very clean and welcoming space with a friendly staff and fellow members. The studio has an amazing community and peaceful atmosphere. The Instructors are very engaged during the class and provide a breadth of cues to help improve your practice. I cannot recommend this studio enough. Modo yoga is my happy place :)

This studio was my introduction to hot yoga and has continued to be my favorite studio over the years among many visits to other studios in other cities. The instructors really meet you where you’re at and help your grow your practice at your pace. It is also the cleanest studio I’ve ever been to. Could not be happier and more at home than Modo!

One Down Dog is great! I’ve been attending 2-3 classes a week for nearly a year so far and don’t intend to quit. The staff and teachers are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend it!!

Love this studio! Great variety of classes and teaching styles. Asia is a lovely addition to Sunday mornings.

After trying one free yoga session, I then recently tried their intro offer for 21 days, and I am so happy I found this studio. I have just joined unlimited for the next 3 months. The first week, I did yoga every day, and the second and third weeks I alternated yoga with FIT and STRENGTH classes online with Audrey- amazing! In person, each instructor is easygoing and supportive, and all types of bodies go to this studio! Every instructor has something new to offer and each class is different. In addition to a variety of yoga classes, they have fitness classes including strength and circuit training. While I loved coming to the studio in Eagle Rock and will probably make it for more in-person classes after work, I am really grateful they also have so many online classes that can be done LIVE from home. Also very cool that you can visit any of the studios with your membership. I am really appreciative of the online fitness classes where we all keep our cameras on and someone is there live, coaching my form. I never feel judged or talked down to, everyone is very nice. What a gem of a spot to stay healthy and feel good about yourself!

Love practicing Yoga here, for 8 years! The early classes work best for me, love the teachers/instructors!! Wish there were more takers for early classes, only to ensure we keep them! Thought 🤔 Early bird special rates may inspire! Peaceful time for Yoga!

Awesome staff and class offerings in three L.A. local studios. For my first class, I chose a weekend Eagle Rock flow class taught by Pamela. The vibe is mellow and friendly and I was glad to invest in myself with a three-week unlimited trial membership. Virtual and on demand classes are also offered. Additionally, for being financially challenged such as someone like myself, there is a membership fund that can assist you. I emailed the staff and told what I could afford, and was graciously accommodated! I was impressed by the various students who attended my flow class, people in all shapes and sizes and yogic abilities. You can't go wrong trying out ODD, give it a consideration, or...in their websites' words...are you Down?!
