Had a beautiful class here while visiting a couple of weeks ago. I have unfortunately forgotten the instructor’s name, but she was a very skilled, talented, empathetic teacher! Everyone at the studio was very welcoming and professional. Hard to beat this setting and view too. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

I love this studio. My favorite part is walking into the cool old building right next to the ocean, smelling the sea to remind me how lucky we are to live in such a cool place. The studio is clean, organized, and staffed with the kindest people and always the perfect temperature. There is a wide variety of classes and teachers. I have hip issues and my husband is 35 and loves a good workout, so I appreciate that there is a place for every kind of yoga practitioner here. I love classes with Clair because she has such a deep understanding of the body.

Started coming here for rehab from a shoulder Injury. Great instructors and good programming definitely is helping recover not just from my shoulder injury but I feel stronger and flexible overall. Definitely recommend this place for new and old yoga practitioners.

Great spot for a massage. Cool building and Leisl is a FANTASTIC massage therapist. She has helped my body aches during pregnancy and post running injuries. I call my massages with her the “runner’s special”. She knows exactly what is needed for a stiff body along with the relaxation needed for a busy mind. Highly recommend!

I just read a review about massage therapist Liesl, who practices here at BYC. I respectfully disagree. Liesl is a caring, thoughtful, and practiced therapist. I’ve been going to her for two years, and have always had a wonderful experience. She spends time before the massage to check in with me, both physically and emotionally, to assure that what she is offering is what I need each time. I went through a very stressful period at the end of last year that included some neck and upper back strain, and she focused on those areas at my request, which was incredibly helpful in a really rough period. I have recommended her to others who have also reported good results with her. I’m so sorry for another’s experience (though train noise is completely outside any practitioner’s control), and different folks have different needs, but without any reservation whatsoever, I highly recommend Liesl as a massage therapist.

This studio has completely changed my life. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but the people, the relationships, the healing I've experienced as a result of joining Intent have had extremely significant impacts on my health, wellbeing, and identity. I started coming to Intent in March of 2022. I had never done hot yoga before and was effectively a total novice. I was really worried about not being "good enough." The space was so approachable and welcoming, and I felt an immediate sense of belonging and warmth. Fast forward 2.5 years later and I call this studio a second home. I'm here every few days and nearly every single one of my closest friends, I met through Intent. I've noticed a change in my inner dialogue as a result of being a part of this community - what I learn on the mat comes with me off the mat. I was in a very challenging place in life when I joined this Studio and I've struggled a lot with my mental and emotional health for the past few years (haven't we all?). Intent and the Intent community are absolutely on the list of things that helped me keep going. I cannot overstate my gratitude for what Tawni has built here. This is an extremely special place.

I absolutely love this studio. The studio has become an incredibly safe place for me to feel my feelings and be able to process through the emotional toll that my job can take on me for the past year or so. I have felt so welcome and so completely accepted in this space. Tawni and all of the other teachers do such a great job of creating an environment that feels safe and that encourages us to be kind to ourselves and meet ourselves where we are on that day in that moment. They’ve always helped me with accommodations for my body, and they’re really good about offering multiple solutions that are more restorative or more challenging, depending on what you feel. I love that we start classes with arriving, breathing, and getting into it with, well, intention. It really sets a clear container for beginning and ending of class when we all start together. The community is amazing and such a cool collective of humans. I know sometimes hot yoga can be intimidating, but I really highly recommend giving Intent a try.

This is my favorite yoga studio in town! Their studio is very clean and modern. The instructors are always friendly and design really fun, unique flows for each class. Don’t forget your towel because you will sweat!

I usually don't bother with reviews. However..I'm just kinda disappointed. I live in blaine and I was going to be late by 2 minutes. My friend got there right on time and she asked if she could keep and eye out for me. She said She would. But when I was about to cross the street someone else needed in the studio and then the door got locked...I couldn't get in. So now I wasted my gas and time. I would understand if we jumped right into it but we almost always start off stretching so why couldn't she just wait the 2 minutes?

From the first time I tried the studio on an awesome free pass for new members and even years later when I came into town for a quick class this studio is consistent and always amazing. I love the vibe and also if you need modifications there are plenty of options during the flow.

The Slow Flow class with Melissa at Flux Yoga was such a great experience—fun, challenging, and just the right mix of beginner-friendly and pro-level sweat. Melissa made it easy to follow along while keeping things interesting for the more experienced yogis. Walking in for the first time felt surprisingly welcoming—like stepping into a group of strangers who somehow already feel like friends. Big shoutout to my friend Eden for inviting me—seriously, you have the best recommendations!

My experiences at Flux Yoga have been nothing short of excellent. For one, the instructors totally rock. Each has their own style but professionalism and positivity is a mainstay. From a rejuvenating Slow Flow to a sweaty Cosmic Flow to a relaxing Yin practice, there is a lil’ something for every yogi. And while the quality of class and lovely Flux community is what keeps me coming back, the cool lavender towels and incredible ocean view are a fantastic bonuses 😉😊

This review is honest to my personal experience. I had one free class to use, and I won’t be returning. -for context - I am a yoga instructor myself. I’ve been practicing since 2012. I’ve been taught by countless instructors of varying styles/lineages. I’d like to start with the good things: The studio (a single spacious room) is beautiful with pendant lighting and walls lined with great big windows sporting a nice *partial* view of the bay (we got to enjoy a fabulous sunset as we flowed). The room was toasty and cozy, outfitted with many heaters hanging from the ceiling. The staff is really friendly and helpful upon checking in. The teacher was youthful, vibrant, and kind. The not-so-great (in my opinion): -They assign spaces for you to practice, which I personally think is very weird. I want to be able to choose who I’m practicing next to - especially as a female. -I signed up for a “Slow Flow” class and this class was far from slow. This was a strength based, quick paced asana flow. Think one breath per motion. (Spare a few moments of exception, for example: the full on strength building portions where we did abdominal work, and extended chair pose holds) -The cues were not great. Often confusing/inaccurate. -The flow was not, in any way, designed to be accessible to bodies of varying abilities or sizes. It wasn’t a safe class. Modifications were not offered. Props were never encouraged to enhance safety. No alignment cues were given. Adjustments were not offered. This class was designed for the body type of the instructor (lean, strong, youthful, flexible). -There was no >>building to apex poses (advanced poses). No strong base/foundation was ever established. Apex poses were sprinkled in throughout the flow willy nilly. {in this “slow flow” the following advanced poses were crammed into one hour: an absurd amount of warrior threes, standing splits, crow (while everyone was dripping sweat?), wild thing, full camel, revolved hand-to-big toe pose} -Props and Modifications aside, even for strong, flexible, youthful, lean bodies (like my own) many of the transitions offered throughout the asana were outright dangerous. I could have seriously injured myself multiple times throughout the class. I don’t usually look around the room while practicing, but I did in this instance. Many people were struggling. Many people had >very

As a beginner in yoga I absolutely loved this class and location. The place is so modern and it is so well located that you don't hear outside noises like traffic. I loved all of the instructors and their different styles of teaching. There are a variety of classes and their schedules are perfect. 👍 No other place in Bellingham area has met this level of quality and professionalism. 10/10

Barkley Yoga is an amazing studio. I first started a few months ago when I saw their new member discount ($49 unlimited for a month). I did my first month with the discount and fell in love so I decided to continue with my membership. Everything that goes into this place is great- All the instructors have been awesome, so welcoming and kind. The classes are exactly what you need, every time! I love me a good hot power, I always leave class feeling amazing physically and mentally. Thank you Barkley Yoga for becoming a new regular in my life 🫶🏼

When I leave this yoga studio, I feel completely relaxed and pampered. The sessions feel like I'm at the spa, there's so many little details and added touches that really go above and beyond. Very clean and inviting, and all the instructors have been amazing!

I've been so happy with Barkley Yoga. The studio space is wonderfully relaxing and gorgeous and the instructors all have their own, unique flair. I love the laid-back vibe where I can meet myself where I'm at in my practice, judgement-free, and in such a supportive space. I came from another studio that had a **super strict** cancelation policy that honestly rubbed me the wrong way - I'm so glad Barkley yoga doesn't exercise the same business practice. Happy vibes all around. I'm a grateful student!!

I feel terrible about posting this because the instructor seems so nice but this was not a hatha yoga class. It was incredibly disorganized from her instruction, to the music, to her plan for the class. It was insistently spacey and no flow. I was looking for a new yoga studio since moving from Seattle and this is a beautiful space but I don’t recommend if you are trying to get into an intentional mindset while practicing.

I’m brand new to yoga, I’ve been taking all different classes to get a feel for the practice. All of the instructors have been amazing, the classes have been enjoyable. As a newbie, I was concerned with not being able to do everything. All the classes are truly for all levels, I have not felt uncomfortable for not knowing what to do or being able to do it perfectly. The studio is also welcoming and clean. I highly recommend Elements!

The variety of classes offered caters to all levels, ensuring everyone feels supported no matter their experience. The studio is clean and peaceful. I highly recommend Elements Yoga Studio to anyone looking to deepen their practice or just take some time for self-care.

Elements offers a large studio that allows the instructors to teach big movements that connect you to your breath and body. I am focused on strength conditioning, mobility training and balance when I come to Elements. I gain psychological benefits because they truly treat the yoga studio as a sacred space, where you can be present and get a break from the rest of the world, it is silent except breathing (sometimes exhausted laughter) and the guidance of the instructors teaching yoga philosophy. I am guided in meditation that is focused on helping me connect with the mind, body and spirit here. I am a stronger athlete (biking, snowboarding, soccer) and a stronger, more confident human because of the discipline that the teachers/coaches provide here. Oh, and they are really friendly!

It had been several years since I took a group yoga class. Francie acquainted me with what to expect and how to get set up which helped me feel less nervous. The class was challenging and meditative. She encouraged us to listen to our bodies and rest if needed. I’m excited to come back for another class.
