I’ve been a member at Crunch Fitness in East Brunswick for a while now, and I’m really happy with my experience. I usually go early in the morning, and the gym is always clean, which is a big plus for me. They have a great variety of equipment, so I rarely have to wait to use what I need. The location is super convenient, with many stores nearby, so I can shop after my workouts. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Whether you’re new to working out or experienced, this gym has everything you need. Highly recommend!

Group classes at Crunch East Brunswick are excellent! The instructors are amazing, very positive and full of energy, constantly motivating everyone to work hard and do their best. Lynn, Missy, Daisie, Nicole and all the instructors do a phenomenal job. I joined Crunch a year and a half ago and my experience has been awesome thus far. I am constantly recruiting new people for classes as I had never taken group classes before at my old gym and now take 10-15 per week because the experience has been so great.

I’ve been working with a few different personal trainers for a year now at Crunch East Brunswick and I’m so happy with my results. Most recently, I started working with Lynn F. She is absolutely the best trainer I’ve ever had. The workouts that she has me do, push me to another level. We are really working on my core strength. I’m almost 50 and I’ve been super focused on just getting healthier in 2025. I know that with Lynn motivating me, I will reach my goals. She is the best role model!!

What a phenomenal work out experience I have at Crunch Fitness East Brunswick. The front desk staff are well-trained and patient, as well as being very informative. The gym has a lot of great equipment. Couldn’t imagine working out anywhere else. And their training staff is awesome! I would recommend doing their complementary fitness assessment!

I’ve been going to Crunch East Brunswick since they opened up. It’s a great club with lots of great classes. The HIIT classes are top notch with great instructors. If you need personal training that’s the place to go. I’ve been working with Lynn for the last month and feeling great. She takes the time to teach you what you need to do when your sessions are done, so you can come back the next time with more accomplished on your own.

Facility is clean and workers are nice. However, the equipment needs a complete overhaul. I’ve seen other planet fitness that have a way better variety of equipment and also have upgraded machines. This location does not have that. There are other locations that do a way better job with the machines.

Unfortunately I go here because it’s on my way home from work. The workers are very nice but the equipment is terrible compared to the other planets fitness I have gone too.One fly machine and it’s been broken over a month. The place needs a complete upgrade like the other planet fitness I have gone too. New machines decline and incline machines peloton etc. very disappointing compared to others.

Literally the first time I had to use a locker without a lock someone went in my bag and stole all my cash on Christmas eve and now have to cancel all my cards. Earlier in the week i left my hat and they said they found it but then went missing from the actual lost and found. 4 year member done. I'm so disgusted.

This facility is consistently clean. All of the equipment is maintained. Staff is very friendly. I enjoy working out here compared to the other local gyms in the EB area.

I have been attending the SS classes on M, W, & F as well as the Stability/Balance class on Wed after SS for almost 2 years. I was a little disappointed when our previous instructor did not return in September, but I am now really enjoying our new instructor, Debbie, who came on as a sub for the summer and is now permanent. She gives us a head--to-toe, whole body workout. We use weights for strength training which is very important for bones at our age. She teaches us what part of the body the exercises will help and the correct way to do them. As this class is made up of mostly seniors (60+) who have varying abilities, we are able work at our own pace in a safe environment. Also, since falling is a big fear of mine, I feel the balance classes have been helpful.

Do not go to this racist camp I will be leaving out my own and my kids name for privacy reasons. And please excuse my poor grammar and use of language. Previously, the summer of 2021, I have enrolled my kids in this camp so he can socialize with other people and overall, have a good time. So imagine my anger, when both of my kids say they were getting mistreated from the other kids. We are of Asian American descent and since the COVID-19 pandemic, Asian/Chinese discrimination skyrocketed. Both of my kids had reported that other kids were picking on them and calling them derogatory and discriminating terms that I will not repeat. They have reported those incidents to the counselors which they failed to do anything. I have told the head counselor about the situation which she was unconcerned and negligent about. The next day, I have gotten a call about one of my kids getting into a fight. I arrived there and was met with my kid and the head counselor. The counselor explained to me that my kid can no longer go to the camp because of the fight and refused to give a refund. I asked my kid about it to evaluate the situation. It turned out that the other kid took the ball that he was holding and refused to give it back. My kid told the counselor who failed to do anything. When my kid tried to forcefully take it back, the counselor intervened. The other kid did not get into any sort of trouble except for my son. I went to the camp next day to unenroll my other kid. Overall, this was a bad experience for my kids. I do not recommend going to this camp

My daughter started going here when she was 9 months old. And today she is 7 and l must say this is the best thing what happened to us. She learned everything from Y whether it’s manners, life lessons or about education. She did Pre-k also here and when she went to kindergarten she knew all the things before. Now it’s her 3rd year going to the summer camp and l am so happy for it. She likes the camp so much she never wants to come back.

(PT.2) - There is way too many things wrong with the Raritan Valley YMCA in East Brunswick, New Jersey. One of the gym doors is broken and extremely easy to break in to , they still haven’t fixed it and it’s been years! There is a cockroach problem in the toddler room and the infant room that was not properly taken care of. They had a molding problem in the Pre-K room on the walls and the baby room closet walls, and the mold got painted over instead of being properly removed. The above ground pool is no longer with us , this is because it was rusting pretty bad and the director decided to paint over the rust. This caused the pool to collapse during a camp day while one of the younger groups was swimming. one of the counselors had to rush to get all of the kids out insuring they didn’t get hurt. There was a mice problem and instead of getting pest control, they got mouse traps and put a couple down. The staff was over worked, sometimes they didn’t take breaks and most of the time they were working over the amount of hours they were allowed to be working, and not getting paid overtime or at all for those hours. They did this mostly to minors ! The director, Gina Stravic, ordered a staff member to ask a Spanish speaking American that was at the Y , if they were LEGAL. Gina intended to pay them under the table for janitorial services if they were not. The man who drives the bus during the summer often hits curbs while driving kids to and from the Milltown pool and the Brookside pool. Most of the front desk workers rotate and change very often and they do not know who belongs in the Y and who doesn’t, and without any type of security system or cameras, this makes the Ymca an unsafe environment to have 100+ children inside of. I could go on forever about the hazards this place has , and these poor kids that go here should be withdrawn until the director and management fixes the unsanitary and unsafe environment that the Raritan Valley YMCA is.

I just started up with this facility and their team about two weeks ago, transitioning from the Army life. I was nervous at first, but my first ever class changed my outlook on everything for the better. Not only was my trainer Tav the absolute best, most helpful, kind hearted, supportive, and lively instructor one could have, but the whole atmosphere was incredibly motivating! Everyone else that was with me in the class greeted me with kind smiles and words of affirmation. Coach Nic has already taught me a class as well and she is soooo on top of things, as far as getting the class what we need, telling us how we need to do the exercises, allowing room for both modifications and growth. I love all the equipment they have at their facility, the workouts each day, the app that you can use to register for classes as well as look at the workout of the day, and track your progress, and root other members on as well! The gym aka the box, is always so clean and extremely maintained as well. Overall, I love my time and choice to become a member with CF Barbending. Thank you for everything! I would recommend this to anyone looking for structure, support, strength training, confidence building, and motivation. I could not have asked for a better CrossFit facility/gym ever!!!!!

Excellent gym. Really. That means you get the attention that you’ll never get at a big box gym, but the big difference is that you’ll get a great workout which is sometimes lacking in smaller gyms. Really professionally run. Owners are always there and they’re both amazing. Great knowledge and vested in your success. The coaches know each person and their individual goals! It’s pretty great to have that level of attention. It’s a great friendly, family like atmosphere but serious and professional! High recommended.

Not a gym but a community where certified coach led classes hold you accountable in having good form, meeting you where you’re at in abilities and pushing you to reach your goals. I was reluctant to start at first because it was so different from traditional gyms but come to appreciate their holistic approach to fitness (not just lifting heavier) - nutrition, good form, effective recovery. Well maintained space that is clean, has ample equipment and recently added a sauna. Has a convenient class schedule and love that I can get an awesome workout done within 1 hour, feeling stronger each time.

This is a true supportive fitness community, which is great for anyone over 18. There are even programs for the older kids, but the focus of this review is the adult side. They offer ample classes 7 days per week and have added them as needed. You get detailed instruction from the teachers scalable workouts to your ability and a program which fits most adult adults. There are even other services if you wish such as nutritional counseling, physical therapy, a sauna, and personal training. The culture of the gym embraces continuous improvement and tweaks as needed. This is a true gem for adults 18-81, in the area. The dynamic culture is for anyone from total novice to serious athlete. Do yourself a favor and join for at least six months.

I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since I joined CFBB. I’m excited to keep this amazing journey going through 2025 and beyond. Every time I walk into the gym, I feel energized. It's not just about working out; it’s about hanging out with friends and being part of a fantastic community. CFBB has truly become a staple in my daily life, and I’m so thankful to the owners, coaches, and all my fellow members for creating such a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The positive vibes at CFBB make it a special place for training, personal growth, and making great memories. It really feels like family here! I look forward to each day, and being around so many amazing people is a boost. Beyond fitness, we have some of the best conversations about everything from sports to politics and life. The community here is super diverse, with so many small business owners bringing a wealth of knowledge and support. CFBB is so much more than a gym. It's a place where friendships bloom and a love for fitness truly ignites. I can’t recommend CFBB enough to everyone out there.
