The management, employees, atmosphere and just plain enjoyment of using this gym compared to the PF in Costa Mesa are like night and day... almost like the Costa Mesa branch is a complete different company with complete different standards but trying to emulate it's layout and design. THIS is a branch others should strive for! Great work team!

Parking is pretty packed here, every time we've come to this location it's kind of hard to find parking near the entrance. They close the bathroom a little early before closing so be sure to use that early if you need it. My husband was frustrated today because people were "reserving" machines but not even using them. 😩 (It was a machine that were only two of and one was being "reserved" the whole time we were there) Also apparently this location used to be 24 hours and they just recently changed it. 🥲

They have long process for cancellation of membership I moved away from Fullerton and want to cancel my membership. They want me to drive down to Fullerton and then cancel the membership or send a letter to the Fullerton to cancel the membership. Don’t get fooled by trap when they say you can cancel anytime and anywhere.

Ryan was great. He answered all my question over the last week. He made me feel like I wasn't bothering him. Sometimes people make you feel like you are bothering them when you are just trying to get answers. I felt like all my questions he answered were heartfelt and genuine. Great guy.

I’m a golds gym member for about 8 years. It’s a part of my life. Love this place. It’s clean, people are nice and friendly, and love the classes. Highly recommend this gym to all my friends.

Great Gym, facilities and staff. You always feel welcomed with people ready and willing to help. The diversity of training machine and facilities are great with the utmost care and cleaning.

To anyone who’s potentially looking to join this gym. I honestly would have gave it zero stars if I could such a disappointing experience at this specific location Golds Gym Fullerton. They are literally just trying to take your money and will raise their prices on you every chance they get. I was a long time member and signed a lifetime membership contract over 10 years ago. Somewhere between now and after the pandemic they do not have my contract which we all know is false because everything is don’t by computer and on file. Anyway they claimed they needed to rewrite my contract for no reason at all since I’ve been paying the same amount for over 10 years and right after they did that I start getting emails from them about potentially increasing my monthly payment when in my original contract agreement I signed it said it would never increase. I know what I signed it was a lifetime agreement and all my other gym membership are the same type of agreements. I went in to talk to the staff and they literally treat you like you are doing something wrong by asking them about why they’re raising your membership fees and when I asked them to show me my contract they have me talk to a supervisor who was extremely rude and then some regional manager who was just as rude. Then they gave me a 3rd party number saying I needed to contact them about my membership and the increase, I call the 3rd party and they said they don’t have any power whatsoever to change the rates on memberships and that it’s 100% the clubs doing which they denied even after talking to 6 staff members. The front desk person was the most rude and didn’t even want to allow me to talk to anyone above her in the first place. The gym is always dirty, things are always broken and the weights are literally everywhere. You can’t find anything you need without having to run around the gym. Nonetheless I cancelled my membership and I Absolutely Do Not recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice gym experience and to go to a place where they actually care about their members and people who are spending money with them. I would definitely look at Eos Fitness or Fitness 19 it’s cheaper, cleaner and the people that work there are not rude.

I’ve grown to love this gym though it can often be packed with a younger high school crowd grouping around the equipment, as it basically neighbors Sunny hills high school. Staff is friendly enough and the work out areas are generally pretty clean. Pros: variety of free weight options, multiple squat racks, men’s and women’s only steam and sauna. Pool and hot tub. Con: not enough duplicate dumbbells in the 20lbs range, showers and steam room get dirty quickly on the men’s side. Steam room breaks often.

Fullerton YMCA is awesome 👏 My son has payed and been coached 🏀basketball since he was 8. Now 14 years old (2024) Both my daughter and son have both taken swim lessons multiple times 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️ Everyone is super friendly. And given all the movement and people I believe they handle all situations the best they can. 📸Pics are from over the years

When I was learning to swim by myself in the pool, the coach came up to me and said with a smile, you can practice here now, but in the summer when there is a swimming team you can't swim here like you do now. I asked him, can't I come the earliest in the morning? He smiled and said to me, yes, you can't. I think this is the worst conversation I have had today, and I think he only said it to me because I am an Asian girl. And he is white. (When I joined the YMCA, I had been browsing the website for half a month, so I knew exactly when free swimming would be open.) I like the front desk staff very much. Their enthusiasm made me decide to join the YMCA. But the swimming coach made me feel very uncomfortable.RACISM:)

Not been here for very long, but they have a lot of equipment here and classes. They also have an outdoor area, a pool, a studio, and a gym here. I mostly come here to work out anduse the equipment. I often try to get bigger muscles and get stronger.

The workout area (indoors) is modern enough, and the sports fields seem decent, but much of the pool area is unchanged from it's initial creation in the early 1960's, and the men's pool locker room really shows this. (Most of it's original men-only space went for women, so there's only 2 showers, 24 lockers, and 2 benches, and get this, 1 toilet & sink, no urinals! And it gets worse when someone uses the toilet stall to change or takes long.) It's not terribly warm in the water or air in the winter time, as they now have a lot of fans running in the roof. (Used to be air turbines.)

Sheri who works in the Kid Zone is so incredibly nice. She's always greeted us very warmly and is very personable. She remembers your name and makes your kids feel welcome. She makes Kid Zone a happier place.
