Best Gyms with Free Weights near Tamarac, Florida

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Crunch Fitness, particularly with their lack of transparency and honesty regarding their personal fitness training program. When I signed up with fitness trainer Olivia, I was not given a full breakdown of how the program worked, the specific terms, or the policies regarding cancellation. Instead the manager, Nate, led me to believe it would be a flexible program that I could cancel at any time if I chose to. However, when I tried to cancel, I was met with unexpected resistance and misleading information. I was told conflicting details about the cancellation process that were completely different from what I was initially promised. It became clear that they either deliberately withheld critical details upfront or failed to properly train their staff to communicate accurate information. This experience has left me feeling frustrated, misled, and disrespected. It’s unacceptable for a business to operate this way, especially when it comes to financial commitments and customer trust. To make matters worse, their staff seemed more focused on upselling additional services than actually helping me resolve my issue. The whole process felt unprofessional and exploitative, as if their priority was to trap me into an agreement I couldn’t easily get out of. If you’re considering signing up for their training programs, make sure you demand a written copy of all terms and ask very specific questions about the cancellation policy before committing. Unfortunately, my experience has shown me that Crunch Fitness does not value transparency or customer satisfaction, and I cannot in good faith recommend them to others.

Wanted to try gym. Signed up for a day pass on 12/18. Decided to use it on 12/24 and was told they are not accepting it due to holiday. I signed up before the holiday. Ridiculous. Won't be joining due to this experience. They told me I could pay for a day pass which was 15 dollars. Absurd.

Fraud fraud fraud . I called them to cancel the membership because I had to move out of state. They said everything was canceled. I tried to call corporate to double check but they don’t even have one. They sent me to collections for $219 with NO prior notice and this has delayed my process to purchasing my home. I called in and they were no help they want me to send a letter to a PO box and see what happens nothing guaranteed for something that was their mistake! This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I only went once to this gym! The gym sucked btw I do not recommend at all! Good luck to anyone that signs up here.

To Whom It May Concern, I frequently visit different Planet Fitness locations as an OTR truck driver, and I have to say this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any location. • The bathrooms were in unacceptable condition, showing clear signs of neglect. • There were young kids lingering in the restroom, which made me concerned about the security of my belongings. • Overall, the facility was poorly maintained, and it’s clear that management is not upholding the standards expected of a Planet Fitness location. This level of negligence is completely unacceptable. Someone needs to be held accountable, and I will also be reporting this to corporate to ensure it is addressed properly. I hope to see immediate improvements, as this location does not currently meet the standards that Planet Fitness promotes. Best, Michel A Sohi

Pugnacity, do better! Customer service is very important, there is a staff member at planet fitness tamarac, an assistant manager that does not represent the pf brand like the other gyms that I've been to. She makes us feel uncomfortable and targeted when at this gym. My girlfriend and I have had only negative encounters with her and she never greets us in a professional manner. This person always portrays combativeness and pugnacity towards us and has a mean demeanor on her face, this type of behavior has brought forth this review. I believe that people who work in this type of job should only bring professional and positive interactions with their customers. She should have proper training on interacting with planet fitness paying customers. If things get better this review can change. Everything else at this gym is fine, this is why this is a one star review and not a five-star review. Do better!

Marlon the manager was very unprofessional. Greets customers with a demeaning attitude and never smiles. Don't come to work if you're miserable. That aside the overnight staff has been great. The only reason I cant give higher stars is due to how Marlon treats customers and staff during my day visits.

Open 24hrs except on some holidays. Well equipped, ample space for stretching, water, clean restrooms but no trainer. Also, I wasn’t told while signing up that if I wanted to cancel it had to be done 7days before my next payment or subscription.

Marlon is correct, the customer service at this gym is HORRIBLE. The young kids think they’re doing you a favor. The staff at 4am is never at the desk, I have seen homeless people just walk in and hang out inside, even use the showers.

This gym is the most customer oriented fitness center for all ages and levels of training. Immediately upon entering you are always greeted by a professional! The gym is definitely user friendly. There is a great assortment of machines and weights - It is open 24/7. It is always clean and lots of cleaning material to clean your machine. All ages are welcome. I love that it is dedicated to working out and lots of cardio machines. It is truly an amazing experience

I love this gym. If i died lifting here, i wouldn’t be upset. Amazing staff. Plethora of machines for ANY workout. Super friendly gym goers, no matter how intimidating they look.

Great gym if you're serious about making gains. Small private gym with unique equipment. Membership and Day pass is affordable. I will definitely use this as an alternative gym if I want to change it up. I went late night and 530pm and little to no crowd. Ppl are respectful and friendly from my experience. If you're into content creation, it's allowed. Just be respectful and mindful.

Great 24 hour gym. Clean facility, Good music if you ever forget your earbuds, it won't be a struggle to workout.

This used to be a 5 star gym until the new tik tok crews invaded. They all want to record and socially gather instead of actually working out. I hope management get a handle on this quickly because it’s making a lot of your day one clients uncomfortable. No one wants to end up on a viral video without their knowledge or consent!
