Best Gyms with Cardio Machines near Downingtown, Pennsylvania

This newly renovated planet fitness is amazing. I like how they added walls and sections which allow the gym to have more machines which as before they had many cardio machines Along with that the gym is clean and the machines have no tears on them as they’re brand new compared to other planet fitnesses. Staff is cool and because this is a corporate location I like how it’s 24/7. Other planet fitness locations in the chester county area are franchise locations which is fine but the problem is after covid a lot of them stopped doing 24/7. So because of that coming here when all the other gyms are closed is pretty convenient.

The people there are great and so is the community. I have gone there for years. The mens bathroom, however, is a major health concern. There is black mold throughout EVERY shower, the floor grout, the drain...you name it. Again, this is a major board of health concern. It needs to be either professionally cleaned or literally ripped out. I thought after the renovations this would be resolved, but it wasn't. Do the right thing here folks.

Overall, the machines are all taken care of well and are all operative. Employees are all very kind and considerate. However the most glaring issue here is that it's a VERY dirty facility. It's clear they have zero professional cleaning being done, and it's all being left to the employees occasionally wiping things down, which is clearly being done seldom. This is not sufficient cleaning practices. The local nearby retail stores (Marshalls, Target, Wawa, etc) are all held to a higher standard than this gym. The attached pictures paints a sufficient picture of my experience at this gym. One of the attached photos is of the HVAC air return on the ceiling which can be seen slightly offset from the stretch cage. This picture is a great representation of the gyms air quality which is being neglected. Traditionally there would be a filter here, in this case you can see it's clogged clumps of dust and lint. Need I say more? The cleaning is lacking here, period.

I say I am a member here. With an ID. I say I have switched everywhere and they insist on making me a liar by saying I am not a member here and every time I go to this place they say they do not let me into this gym. But I want to say this. Two self-important and selfish people.

Great gym staffed with excellent people! While I did not get a chance to see the facility before the renovation, I heard that a lot of work went into it. It seems like the time and effort paid off!

I recently started coming to CrossFit Rock Solid with an open mind and zero experience. As a "beginner" I have been welcomed by friendly people and coaches. The workouts leave you feeling accomplished and strong. I would highly recommend to anyone!

CrossFit Rocksolid has been the place that has changed my entire life. Before joining, I had generalized anxiety and had never been able to stick to any fitness routine. Through the knowledgeable and encouraging coaching staff, as well as the incredible support of the community in the gym, I have found a fitness regiment that has kept me consistent for the last 8 years. Rocksolid accepts people of all levels of fitness and ability and fosters a safe zone for taking risks. This gym has truly taught me that I’m capable of more than I ever thought possible and has remained a second home for me. To anyone debating whether or not they should take the risk and join: do it. It will change you for the better.

CrossFit is for everyone. Rock Solid caterers to everyone’s skill. The coaching staff led by Mike will have your best interest in achieving your goals. If you are looking for a supportive community of people this is the right place for you. The workouts are always challenging and you will pick up new functional skills that you may not have thought were possible.

I joined the Rock Solid family about three months ago and it has been a transformational experience for me. Up until now running, biking and other cardio had been my only core exercises. I had never been serious into weight lifting either, only what I did at the local gym (which wasn’t cutting it). I needed a change that would push me and challenge me to keep striving for goals that had never been on my radar. Mike and his team of coaches have been amazing in helping me see where I am, what I need to learn, and incrementally reach those goals through patience and perseverance - while keeping me accountable. There is also an incredibly supportive community here. One of the best decisions I ever made!

Applecross is a really awesome community built by Pulte. It is best known for its staycation like amenities - Indoor and Outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, club house and ofcourse the famous Nicklaus designed golf course!

Good family atmosphere. Clean and good food. The staffs are friendly.

Great Family outing and lots of stuff to do.
