Planet Fitness

This newly renovated planet fitness is amazing. I like how they added walls and sections which allow the gym to have more machines which as before they had many cardio machines Along with that the gym is clean and the machines have no tears on them as they’re brand new compared to other planet fitnesses. Staff is cool and because this is a corporate location I like how it’s 24/7. Other planet fitness locations in the chester county area are franchise locations which is fine but the problem is after covid a lot of them stopped doing 24/7. So because of that coming here when all the other gyms are closed is pretty convenient.

The people there are great and so is the community. I have gone there for years. The mens bathroom, however, is a major health concern. There is black mold throughout EVERY shower, the floor grout, the drain...you name it. Again, this is a major board of health concern. It needs to be either professionally cleaned or literally ripped out. I thought after the renovations this would be resolved, but it wasn't. Do the right thing here folks.

Overall, the machines are all taken care of well and are all operative. Employees are all very kind and considerate. However the most glaring issue here is that it's a VERY dirty facility. It's clear they have zero professional cleaning being done, and it's all being left to the employees occasionally wiping things down, which is clearly being done seldom. This is not sufficient cleaning practices. The local nearby retail stores (Marshalls, Target, Wawa, etc) are all held to a higher standard than this gym. The attached pictures paints a sufficient picture of my experience at this gym. One of the attached photos is of the HVAC air return on the ceiling which can be seen slightly offset from the stretch cage. This picture is a great representation of the gyms air quality which is being neglected. Traditionally there would be a filter here, in this case you can see it's clogged clumps of dust and lint. Need I say more? The cleaning is lacking here, period.

I say I am a member here. With an ID. I say I have switched everywhere and they insist on making me a liar by saying I am not a member here and every time I go to this place they say they do not let me into this gym. But I want to say this. Two self-important and selfish people.

Great gym staffed with excellent people! While I did not get a chance to see the facility before the renovation, I heard that a lot of work went into it. It seems like the time and effort paid off!
