Best Gyms with 24 Hour Access near San-antonio, Texas

Great facility for open space regarding workouts, needing more equipment but slowly getting there, & the bi-weekly rate at this location is $$; it's nice to change the scene for workouts & I would recommend trying it out for the experience!

I wanted to love this gym. But after they texted me saying I could no longer attend their location because they are not my "home gym", have been left with a huge distaste in my mouth. To also be $70/month is OUTRAGEOUS. When I only pay $40 and have for 5 years. But not this location. They said they would now lock me out for not making them my "home gym" as I frequent them (as a nurse) on my way home from shift sometimes because it's on the way home. I go to all different locations across San Antonio and have never had this happen. A little bit ridiculous. Golds gym is less and offers WAY more than this location so I don't understand the pricing by any means. Just sound like greed. "you wont transfer to us so we are gonna lock you out" even though you are supposed to be able to visit any location per corporate, which I did call and confirm. So they claim to be "able to visit any location" but you in fact, can not. I smell a lawsuit for discrimination and false advertisement coming.

I recently joined Anytime Fitness, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This gym deserves a full five stars for several reasons. Despite being newly built, the gym is constantly upgrading its equipment, making it feel like there's something new to try every week. The layout of the gym is fantastic, with both upstairs and downstairs workout areas that cater to a variety of fitness needs. They have state-of-the-art technology, including body scan tools that provide valuable insights into your health and fitness progress. Coaching is always available, whether you prefer group training sessions or one-on-one guidance. One of the standout features is their massage services, which are a perfect way to unwind after a tough workout. The gym also provides a secure area for personal belongings, giving me peace of mind while I exercise. The security measures in place make the facility feel safe at any time of day or night. Another huge plus is their app, which is incredibly user-friendly. It shows how busy the gym is at any given time and provides detailed instructions on how to use each piece of equipment. The app has been a game-changer for planning my workouts and making the most of my time at the gym. The community at Anytime Fitness is fantastic. The members are dedicated to their fitness goals, creating an inspiring and motivating environment. It feels far superior to other gyms I've tried, like Planet Fitness. A special shoutout to John Ybarra and his wife, who were instrumental in helping me get started. I've been a member for just over a month, and alongside my girlfriend, I've already lost over 10 pounds. This gym is not just a place to work out; it's a healthy and supportive community. If you're looking for a top-notch gym experience, Anytime Fitness is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Just visited the facility and it is very nice! Love all the brand new equipment! Kim- the owner is very nice and is welcoming all suggestions from her members! I do wish they had a month to month contract vs the 12 month commitment, but I will just use that as motivation to keep going for the next 12 months!

I really enjoy going to anytime fitness, as everyone there is friendly and helpful with any questions you may have about the gym. I would highly recommend this gym.

We have been members at this location since it opened. I might miss my girls that opened the location but I wanted to do a shout out to Zinah and Ashley. They have been extremely helpful. Thank you for the continued positivity on my journey to meeting my goals and helping me with all technical issues that I had with the app. You guys keep the environment positive! No to mention you keep everything sparkling clean. 🫧🧼🧹

The gym was fine. Easy access 24/7 and no problem with that service itself. However, it's incredible how customer service can make or break a relationship. I went in to cancel my membership after being a member for 6 months because I was simply not using it. The manager who assisted me with this was rude and seemed really bothered that I cancelled. I think her name is Denise.

Everyone is so friendly and kind! I love the different classes offered and the time options available. Denise has always been more than helpful with anything I need! Danna is so kind and makes me feel comfortable if any questions pop up. I highly recommend trying it out!

I love coming to this location. Everyone’s so nice and friendly. They also keep the facility clean which is a must. Denise is very friendly and always willing to help when needed.

I am livid, this is the worst studio EVER!!! I have been apart of golds gym, anytime, orange theory, you name it. This has by far been the biggest headache!!! I saw someone say that getting out of this membership is harder than getting out of the mafia, and it’s 100% true. At some point we’ll all have to cancel. Keep that in mind when signing up. They don’t care about you, they care about making money regardless of what anyone says, or whether these policies are based on the franchise or single owner. They knew how much of a scam it was when they invested, so they should know they’ll always have customers that will feel cheated. Last year I excitedly signed up and had a great time, then found out just a few months after that I was pregnant. I had a very high risk pregnancy & was put on best rest until delivery. The studio, of course like everyone else, refused to make exceptions to be able to cancel over the phone or online, even with my diagnosis and valid doctor’s notes. After my mom also had the worst time with cancelling, she finally was able to terminate her account as well so we could both be done with this place. I just delivered my daughter & never gave this a thought again because I was on my mom’s plan that was cancelled, and it turns out they started charging one of my family members accounts & has been charging $9 since last year! (If you are on a family plan, they WILL trap you into paying all payments for anyone else). I finally gave up & called & said I would just go in since I’m not pregnant anymore. The lady on the phone said that they couldn’t cancel, only the manager could but she would be off for the next 3 days & to come in Monday. I had to haul my whole family in the car & head to the studio. I called at least 10 times on the way (this is DURING their fully staffed hours) and got no answer, and finally arriving (DURING the time the lady said the manager would be there) just for no one to answer the door. It’s like this studio is playing hide & seek just to cancel! For it to take weeks just to cancel is a joke. Shame on this place, seriously.

If you were thinking about signing up to this overpriced gym thinking it will offer something exclusive and be “worth it” think again. I’ve been a member since 2014 and the way they treat members has just continued to go downhill. Especially after COVID changing their hours from 24//7 which it used to be, to treating guest with attitude and showing no consideration for its members. Firstly they have group training all throughout the day and week and take up most of the squat racks you thought you were signing up to take as Amat and not have to wait for like every other gym. They blast loud music on a Portable speaker and now today say they’re closing the sauna early but didn’t send out an email or any kind of notice that it would be closing early, for someone who liked to have a set schedule and routine why am I paying such a high dollar amount if you guys aren’t going to be accommodating in these situations and leave the sauna on for 30 more minutes before you close? All I was told was a very insincere “sorry”. There are some great staff here however there are days such as today where it’s a complete 180 usually amongst the younger staff. Terrible service from used to be a premium gym and experience.

Great gym. Very very busy and a little crowded. The machines are somewhat dated for a luxury gym but the staff is amazing and have had no bad experiences as far as gym culture. Showers/locker rooms/pickleball/recovery equipment/pool/sauna/classes really make this gym worth it so only sign up if you see yourself using those. The actual workout equipment is mediocre at best.

I just looked through negative reviews about cleanliness and staff, and I have to say that I completely disagree with these. I was looking for a change in my lifestyle and wanted to go to a gym that made me feel good to be there and this place delivers. I've been going since early this year and have been satisfied with everything I've used aside from a couple of hiccups with childcare. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I'm greeted with a smile every day by anyone I pass by. They have such an awesome variety of machines, classes, and workout equipment for any level of exercise. It does get crowded sometimes, but it's never caused me an issue. I'm constantly seeing people walking around keeping things clean, which is great to see. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to my trainer, Alan, who has been the source of my motivation for months. He's super friendly, extremely helpful, very flexible, and does an amazing job with not scaring you off with too much at once. I wouldn't still be coming if I hadn't met him, so THANK YOU. If you are looking for a trainer, I'd suggest Alan or Emma, who I've also worked with and is awesome! I won't be changing gyms any time soon, so thank you Lifetime!

The customer service is on point. Recently, the manager and two other staff members helped me with a very confusing issue with my membership (not their fault, but mine) over the course of several days. Helping me work that out deserves five stars alone. I have encountered some prickly staff members in other areas of the gym, but overall, the experience my family and I have had since we joined has been incredible for our overall wellbeing and our relationships with each other.

I've been to a few Life Time gyms lately and this one is definitely towards the top of the list. Clean, have a lot activities for families and kids, the pickelball court is great and indoor/outdoor pool is nice as well.
