Best experience with a workout! The coaches and staff are so welcoming and encouraging. As a former coach and fitness instructor it is great to have accountability with my personal fitness journey.

This is a fabulous OT studio in the VA Beach area. While on vacation in the area I took a class this past Friday. Coach Taylor is amazing, the 2G class was full but she provided individualized instruction and kept everyone moving and motivated! The front desk was very helpful, going above-and-beyond for me. The members seem great, too. So glad I decided to workout at this studio over my break, thank you!

Above all, the variation of workouts from day to day, i.e. muscle confusion, which is leading to a great workout and even greater overall fitness. All of the workouts, 2G and 3G, are working for my improvement in my fitness level. I am very pleased with my progress. I also like that the coaches are attentive to our workout motions and are quick to help us correct that motion to achieve the most out of each workout. The lobby staff is professional, friendly and are quick to respond to any inquiry either in person, by phone or by email. I like that the results of each workout is posted to my account and sent to me via email. The facility is always clean and all equipment functions perfect each time.

I love this workout - the circuit combo of rower/treadmill/weights really works for me and just when you feel like you're not gonna make it another minute in one area it's already time to switch. The staff here are very friendly and the coaches I've worked out with have been great about helping me correct my form when I need it. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're at all curious :)

Only giving it 3 starts because the instructors themselves are nice and the classes are good but the customer service sucks!!! Every time we had a question/concern that needed to get addressed it was like we were bothering the front desk and they always had a nonchalant attitude about it. Honestly very disappointed with that because it made both my parents and I cancel our memberships, having a good class doesn’t beat not having good customer service. Hope they fix that in the future as I’ve heard of other people canceling for the same thing.

Going to get my car worked on and almost got hit, but got cussed at by a parent because they were illegally parked and the smell of weed was bad. There are other businesses near by have respect.

Fame is the very best dance and cheer studio around!! The coaches are awesome and it shows in competition!!

I workout at the gym across the street. One day while walking outside one of the mothers purposely tried to hit me with her car twice then proceeded to scream at other members of the gym. This was not only extremely inappropriate and dangerous, but also jeopardized the safety of the small child in the vehicle. I hope the owners of this business will address this safety issue.

BEST GYM! I cheered at FAME for 9 years and loved every second of it. Family atmosphere, I made some of my very best friends there! My younger sister is still cheering there and they are highly ranked. I learned so much about discipline and working as a team! Best gym in VB hands down.

My daughter enjoys FAME. She wanted to go to sharpen her skills and she has definitely improved greatly. She enjoys the ability to travel and perform in competitions. Great gym and great times!

I've been going to CycleBar Hilltop since early November and have fallen in love! All the instructors are awesome and I leave each class feeling like I accomplished a great work out. All the staff are super nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this studio!

This place is amazing! I was hesitant about joining but the uplifting and positive atmosphere keeps me coming back every morning. The staff and instructors are so sweet and nice! The rides are intense but so much fun. They have fun themes and parties. I have bad anxiety and this place is helping me get out of my comfort zone and make new friends! ❤️

CycleBar is more than just workout; it’s an experience. The upbeat music, energetic instructors, and supportive atmosphere create an environment that leaves you feeling empowered. Instructors Maddie and Rae are absolute rockstars! Their infectious energy and motivating words pushed me to dig deeper. Leaving CycleBar, I not only feel physically challenged but mentally refreshed and ready to conquer the day. It’s an absolute must-try for anyone seeking a fun and effective workout.

Today was first time cycling ever in life. The staff was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. I didn’t know what to expect and they guided me each step of the way. I am definitely going back. The class was fun and the a total body workout. The instructor made it fun and at one point I forgot I was working out.. I was groovy!! Highly recommend!!!

Amazing experience !! Everyone was very welcoming and helped me get set up on the bike ! The energy of the instructor was amazing and the uplifting advice she gave at the end stuck out amazing job I will definitely be letting all my friends know about cyclebarhilltop !!

We dropped by this location on a whim to check it out. I chatted briefly with Diane (boss lady) who was very kind. She game me helpful info about the location. I appreciated the paper, and not being told to look it up online. There was a birthday party at the time. I didn't want to intrude, but my one year old had other plans. He wanted to play with the little kids. The woman (who I assume) was the birthday boy's mom was so kind. She came over and said, "does your little one want a picture with Bluey?" We got some photos and he played for about ten minutes with the birthday kids. The family was very kind and patient with the complete strangers who crashed the party. We're from Northern VA so kind people are foreign to me. Lol. Anyway - thank you! Ok, back to the location. The pricing is reasonable. It was clean. We'll definitely be back.

We have been coming to Mygym for a while and love the classes and open gym. Lately it has been very hot in the building which has had me concerned for myself and baby. I’ve talked to other moms and they feel the same and said they’ve mentioned it but nothings changed. Please fix the AC to make the experience enjoyable, for the cost of the membership the environment should be comfortable for everyone.

We had my sons 2nd birthday here and we had so much fun!!! Diane and her staff are super attentive and sweet. They answered all of our questions and the day of they made sure the party went smooth. We loved that the entire party they brought out fun new things for all the kids to play with. Thank you for making my sons second birthday such an awesome experience! We will definitely be coming back soon!

My daughter has been going to My Gym for 5 months now and she loves it. The staff is amazing. They greet her by name every time she walks in. She looks forward to circle time and hanging with her friends. We drive 30 mins to class and open gym and it’s worth the drive. I highly recommend My Gym.

We had my daughter’s 3rd birthday here on 4/30 and it was GREAT! The staff is so wonderful. I had a million questions which they answered so nicely each time. The staff decorated before the party, entertained the kids during the party and did all the clean up. I cannot express how impressed I am with everything about this place. I had an idea of how I wanted the decorations put up and they happily listened to my ideas and followed through on the day of the party. The kids had non-stop fun for 1.5 hours. I highly recommend My Gym!

This gym is a staple in Virginia Beach. Its right on 19th st. If you need a class,or more personal training you can get it here. Even myself who trains bodybuilding I get a great work-out here.

Love this gym so much, the coach there provided a really good workout routine and schedule to meet my goals to get ready for BCT 🪖💪🏾. Awesome gym very nice ppl and encouraging folks to be around.

We dropped in here while visiting and had the absolute best experience all around. The staff, trainers, and members are so friendly and welcoming! We also loved that the gym had every piece of equipment we needed for our workouts. If we ever move to VB this will be our go to gym. I can’t recommend it enough!

I have been meaning to write this review! Moving to VB Wareings has been the best gym I could ask for. They are so kind and flexible and helpful business/people wise but also challenging and on trend workout wise. Staff is wonderful! Highly recommend.

I’ve been a member of Wareings for over 30 years and it is hands down the best gym in America!! The trainers are all amazing and so knowledgeable and helpful and truly care about each client! The classes are fantastic and very well thought out and diverse so we never get bored!! The Wareings family makes us all feel like part of their family. I can’t say enough great things about this gym!! I will never quit them!! They make working out not only challenging but fun!!

I should start by saying, Swell Studio changed my life! I waited 4 months to do this review, so I could experience every class, with every instructor and truly give this review my 100 percent honest opinion! I can say with confidence, it’s like no other studio- well, family- that I’ve ever been a part of! Every single member of the staff, front desk included, is knowledgeable, supportive, and beyond friendly. I became stagnant with my work outs at home and really needed a community to be a part of to push me, each and every day! And that is exactly what I found at Swell! From the beginning, scheduling my first class was a breeze. I was immediately greeted by staff, offered a pair of shoes to clip into the spin bikes if I didn't have my own (at no charge) and given a crash course on how to use the bike. I immediately felt the warmth and positivity, and couldn’t wait to hop on. The spin classes are a no-joke dance class, that will have you dripping sweat and feeling pumped from 1st to last song! The instructors guide you from every cross bar to trio, never being left confused or uncertain of the next move. The train classes are NEVER the same and are incredibly thought out and executed, having you pushed to your limit, while also offering multiple modifications for beginners or for those with injuries. Swell is a no-judgement zone and every member I have encountered has been nothing but supportive and encouraging. Both studio rooms are well lit with changing lights and colors, showers that are clean as a whistle and a fresh smoothie bar with a new smoothie added monthly! They also frequently have In-studio challenges, outdoor classes for holidays and celebrations and even special events like studio-member clothing swaps! I couldn’t be happier to be a member of Swell and I’m so happy I found this studio. If you’re thinking of taking the leap, I highly recommend taking a first class and I promise, you’ll be certain about joining after the first song! I have never been one for fitness classes but swell has totally changed my mind! I started with the spin classes with Rich and Mary and now I’ve thrown in the train classes with Teri. I feel like every day is different and fun and I can see a difference in my body and strength!

*chefs kiss* Swell knows just how to make you feel welcomed and seen, push you to your limit in either the spin or train room, and walk out feeling better than you came in! So accommodating and welcoming since day 1, with the sauna and smoothies as the icing on the cake! And first class is free!

The Swell fam makes fitness fun! The boutique-style ambiance and amenities add flair to the studio and contrast with the serious butt-kicking we all get with each class. From the train to the ride room, each instructor really focuses on motivating every member to work hard and be our best! At over 230 classes in, I can't wait to see what the next many milestones bring!

Staff is extremely helpful & accommodating, the gym is so clean and there is everything you could need for whatever workout you’re looking to accomplish. The 24 hour access is great & i love the new equipment that has been brought in since change in ownership. There are always positive changes being made. Also, might sound weird but i swear this gym is kept at the perfect temperature to break a sweat without being uncomfortable! Definitely recommend!

I am a member at AF west Hartford in CT visiting here for work. Stopped in to get my workout in today and so glad I did. This is what I wish my gym was. Clean. Organized. Quiet but not intimidating. All working equipment. Fans!? So fantastic. I can’t wait to come back!

Gym Rat Paradise. This Anytime Fitness is heavy on Olympic lifting with a ton of drop plates of all sizes. They are outfitted with Hammer Strength machines and racks, a jungle gym with punching bag and multiple cardio machines. Other noteworthy items is the half step dumbbells like 12.5#s and 17.5#s. Max dumbbell weight is 100#s

Moved to Virginia Beach earlier in the year and decided to find an everyday gym that was the right fit. Through research I had found that any negative reviews of this place were made under previous ownership. Immediately upon arrival I was greeted by Josh, the owner, and given a proper introduction to the gym and an opportunity to workout before committing. A very welcoming, kind, and hard working individual who cares about the gym and people who come. Through several months of being a member I have had nothing short of an excellent experience. Gym amenities are great and continually upgraded. The environment is clean and atmosphere is phenomenal. This place has something for everyone and for every goal. Josh has been very accommodating and personable along the way. Very pleased with my experience thus far. 5/5

When i first moved here YMCA was my go to. Daycare, after school programs, summer program and other programs. Art was the first for my 5 yo. Then swimming for both. I visited this location to get in out of the weather. I walk Mt Trashmore. There are too many rooms that could be opened for Daycare. One room off pool area for children smelled of bleach. The new workout area reserved for government workers as a membership. I would have to pay extra or use the old ones where I saw the older members. Some struggling to use. There are mega fitness centers opening with or without training. Medicare has a program for blue shoes. YMCA should go back to children programs to stimulate exercise and dance.

I’m giving them a 1-star for the location at Mt Trashmoore in Virginia Beach. Their teachers are okay. But their admin staff and director at really bias and self serving. They have inserted themselves into personal matters of families. The YMCA changes their policy’s what seems like every other month or quarter and expect families to just jump and adjust. I find their business practices to be very unfair and their lack of communication to be terrible between corporate staff and the center staff for the childcare programs. I would not recommend going here unless you just need affordable quick childcare that’s convenient and bare minimum. Also if you can adjust to the random changing financial policies. The only one good thing I would say came from my daughter being here for 2yrs, she was potty trained with my help and family members and the lower grade teachers are really good in my opinion

We are new to town and have toured several gyms and attached kids clubs before joining the Y. We are so happy to have found both a wonderful gym, and community. We never left our kids in a gym childcare until here. Others were not clean, didn’t change diapers, or were irresponsible and rude. The stay and play staff goes above and beyond in making it clean and safe. I never have to worry about our children while we exercise or do “parents time out.” It’s such a game changer having young children! Everyone is so personable and kind to us and our children. We do swim, weekend family events, and plan to begin soccer in the Fall. If you are looking for a trusted family gym and community, it’s the Y!

Two months trying to confirm membership cancellation and my card has been charged again! Beware allowing them access to your card it’s been nothing but a run around with the front desk staff NOT knowing they were supposed to give me a form after weeks of trying to cancel, my card was charged AGAIN!!. While still WAITING for “management” apparently Ms Swoop is the ONLY person who can handle cancellations but she doesn’t respond to emails, nor requests from staff “Sam” who says he’s waiting for her reply as well. Rediculous!

We recently moved and felt the need to leave a review because we had such a “family” like and great experience! This doesn’t mean things were perfect but when we mentioned things they went ABOVE and beyond to correct anything. We primarily used the YMCA for childcare and were super happy with the care as well. I feel like they’re always trying to improve. My son Brody grew close with the counselors, and when we stopped care there briefly for other reasons, they were so happy to see him back it made his day! We also did 2 seasons of basketball. I teared up we left a piece of my little guys childhood behind.

Each time my family and myself come to this location, it’s always a pleasant experience. This evening, in particular, I wanted to take a moment to mention two particular employees that were there this evening, by the names of Kay and Alex, I believe. As my son and I were leaving after our workout, my son began to feel faint and nearly passed out. I turned him back around, went back into the gym, and immediately, Kay and Alex went into action and did everything they could to be of assistance to help. They were both compassionate and attentive and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Kudos to Kay and Alex! More people should aim to be as kind.

Very large & spacious Planet Fitness! Not busy at all on a fine Sunday evening! #PrimeWorkout Clean throughout, lines of machines and cardio equipment well-placed, enough mirrors to entertain an international beauty pageant. The Black Card costs me $24 (or so) per month, and I can bring a buddy with me to any national 🇺🇸 location! How can you beat that deal, yo?! 💥 {Thank you, Ndoro! This gym is really good. It’s one of the few 24 facilities in our area. It has an abundance of cardio equipment and clean facilities. It recently got renovated. The on site showers have the new tile inside and the placement of the shower head seems a little odd for a tall person but we can work around that. The rowing machines are those water spinner kind which I’m not a fan of but everything else is amazing. If you’re a before work workout person the showers are available and clean. I would recommend this gym.

They randomly charged me a fee & when asking them about it they couldn’t explain what it was for and that they would only refund it if I showed them my bank statement even though their systems show it was paid. Who in their right mind would feel comfortable sending their bank statement to a gym? It’s inappropriate for them to even ask for this information

I come to this Planet Fitness often but tonight was the first time I've come since they remodeled it. The lady behind the counter was being rude in front of my guest saying that my guest couldn't use the hydromassage chair but she'll let it slide tonight. I told her that anytime I've come, no one has ever given me any issues... she stated that Planet Fitness has stricter rules now. Why do I pay for a black card membership to have guests if we can't enjoy the benefits? That's absurd. I will not be coming to this location again.

Great location! Friendly staff and the equipment is always clean. Very spacious also and affordable memberships.

I usually enjoy my workouts at Planet Fitness, however the Holland Road gym is undergoing major renovations . The gym right now is dusty and not fun. I went to use the bathroom and it was closed. Planet Fitness should of notified their clients in advance about these renovations . The environment is just messy and does not feel safe.

Super friendly staff, many seniors getting personal training! Soo awesome to see! Awesome equipment from 80s/90s! Not worn out. Well kept! Old school hard weight w the old school machines you don’t come by any more. If your a meat head / gym rat. You have to get a week pass minimum to play w all the fun stuff!!

I cant say enough about this place, awesome gym, amazing environment. They dont make gyms like this anymore; real weights, old school machines (even the old school icarian pec deck!) Real iron plates and dumbells, cambered bars, squat racks. I could go on and on. If I moved to the area I would probobly join this gym before I even moved into a house!

I've been training at Flex for 7 years. This gym has become home, and the staff and members have become family. The team support, motivation and work ethic are unmatched. I'm grateful to be a part of it.

Absolutely amazing gym, it's clean, has about everything you need for your workout. The staff are great, if you're unsure how to use a machine they'll show you no problem at all. The only con about the place is it's not 24hrs but the vibe makes up for it.

I have requested to cancel my membership two times over the past 6 months. Sent the form they make you fill out to cancel. No responses, and have been charging me for months. Small gym with aging free weights. 9.99/ month takes you a lot further at other nearby gyms

Ok gym to be honest closer to my place. One of the reasons why I come here. Staff aren’t that friendly unless you pay for the services but the owner is cool. Oh yeah, and I guess filming is permitted here even though it’s posted on the front “Not to film or video” you may show up on someone’s tik tok trend video pretty soon!!

I honestly loved this location. Clean and they were always updating with just the equipment I requested or I felt like I was missing out on. I stepped on stage working solely out of this gym. I just really didn't like how unfriendly Rachel consistently came off. I would just avoid speaking to her. The way their payments were setup was very frustrating as well. At the time I wasn't working a job were I was paid on specific days. Twice a month but not on set days like the 1st and 15th, and my gym membership was not set to come out of my main account. So money was only available once I transferred the funds to that account. Which was no problem but the moment a payment didn't go through I would be automatic charged double. I was paying $80 a month to go to this gym because of this. I tried to go speak to Rachel about it to see if there was another way I could go about it because it just wasn't working for me and she was so dismissive, cold, and short. I didn't even get to explain what was going on nor did she care. I felt so uncomfortable I eventually just stopped going. I would've loved to keep going here because this location, the times, and the equipment was so perfect for me.

One of the best in the area sure to the square footage of the building and above average amount of free weights in comparison to others.

I travel a lot and so I have been to a lot of anytime fitnesses and this one is great.
