First experience with Anytime. Gotta say that the gym itself is good, they’ve got heavy bag in the mobility room too, and most of the machines operate just fine. Staff seemed friendly as well. My issue is with the somewhat shady business practice. You’re charged an additional startup fee and whatnot, which is typical. But I was double charged. I noticed it a week later, and was reimbursed. Glad I noticed it! Eventually I had to cancel my membership because I was moving out of town. After what I thought was a successful cancellation, I was charged a further 2 times. (Which was $38 bi-weekly, really expensive for what you’re getting). Didn’t noticed those because of the holidays. Finally did this morning and was able to clear it up. My point in writing this is to be careful and pay attention. Anytime fitness relies on you forgetting to go through all the hoops they want, in order to truly cancel. I do not think that this is the staffs fault. I blame Anytime Fitness’ business model.

Me & my wife visited this location once while we were out in Portland for the weekend. The facility is a decent facility compared to the AF locations in the metro area we live in. The use of space was good, but the bathrooms could use better lighting, especially for those who actually need to use the shower portion of the bathrooms. The gym was clean though. They had equipment that not every AF location has. You do have to pay to park though, unless you visit on a Sunday, which we luckily did.

There this new guy ( a.k.a. New Year’s resolutions) who inhabits 4-5 pieces of equipment at one time . I’ve been coming here for a year and loved the place, between 3-6 AM depending on when I get off work. Now it’s no fun being at this gym. This guy is making it hard and miserable!! 2 pieces at a time I understand but 5 is ridiculous.

Hidden Gem of a gym! This place is the best! The staff is great but super chill. All body types, ages and genders are well represented. The locker rooms are individual and unisex. The equipment is incredibly maintained and the whole gym is sparkling clean! The team members are very friendly if you need them and don't bother you when you don't. ALSO on the weekends the farmers market is is right outside the gym across from Esther Short Park. Its the best hack in Vancouver to hit the gym then grab fresh produce from local farmers and a smoothie from the smoothie cart just out the front door! Seriously the best gym in town.

My experience with Anytime Fitness was initially fine, but things went downhill when I tried to use my membership at a different location. Beforehand, I specifically spoke with the team to confirm there wouldn’t be any issues. However, from the very first day, I was unable to access the other gym. Despite calling for support, the problem wasn’t resolved, and it’s now been almost a month. The staff failed to follow up on my issue as promised. They said they would email the other location to find a solution, but nothing ever came of it. This lack of communication and accountability has been extremely frustrating. If you’re looking for a gym where you can seamlessly use your membership at multiple locations or expect good customer service, I would strongly advise against joining Anytime Fitness.

I love this place so much. CycleBar West Vancouver is a boutique indoor spin studio that is determined to building a community while supporting the health and fitness journey of others. They provide shoes and towels for first time riders, and provide themed classes regularly to keep a fun environment! There is a lot of cute cute cute apparel and energy drinks they offer their riders. In the last year there's been a lot of change and movement, but I believe and see an increase of participation, community, and encouragement across all avenues. I'm eager to see where the future of CycleBar West Vancouver goes!

I love the energy of CycleBar! This location has instructors that are more than willing to answer questions and guide you in your first few classes. Everyone is knowledgeable and eager to connect which I love. Finding a place with a sense of community has been so good for my soul and I love the workouts. Samantha has completely stolen my heart with her enthusiasm and encouragement. She always makes me feel seen and excited to workout with her! Love you, Samantha!

Excellent barre classes! Been going about 3x week for 1.5 years and am now in the best shape of my life (at 59!). I’ve never been able to stick with any workout program, and I’ve tried many, but something about Pure Barre just works. My core is strong and I love that I can do physical things now without giving it much thought or worry about strain or injury. The staff is very warm, friendly and helpful. Very down to earth - no gym rat mentality here. Love the variety of options in class types. From yoga-esque to free weight to cardio to core toning workouts, there’s something for every person or mood. Also love that classes are full of students at all levels of experience and ability. Highly recommend this studio!

5/5 - great staff, refreshing workout classes. I have had a good exp here. There are always specials and deals being offered here. I have just purchased a punch card so far. I would like to share my personal exp was good from the start. I bought a punch card not knowing my health would delay when I could actually take classes. The owner extended my punch cards time so that I actually had a chance to use it! I appreciated the studio working with me when they didn’t have to.

I've been to Barre3 before and compared to Pure Barre I would definitely recommend Barre3 studio. The 'required socks' is definitely a business scheme here. $20 for a pair of socks!

Studio lies to get extra money out of people and does not honor programs through Active&Fit. They will claim it’s an “add on” to try and get you to double pay for something. This is not listed anywhere and is a deceptive practice. Don’t waste your money at this studio and don’t sign up for anything with this studio from Active&Fit or through ClassPass or any other service unless you want to waste your time and money dealing with them. Go to literally any other Barre studio.

Pure Barre has been such a game changer for me. Not only have I become physically stronger and fit but the community that has been built here is truly amazing. I’ve tried many gyms and other work out studio’s and never really felt comfortable. PB was the first workout that I consistently feel challenged and no one class is identical making each class challenging and fun. The hands on correction and the instructors helping you dive deeper into proper form is such a wonderful addition to help provide the results wanted. The community of women (and men) are there to truly support one another’s goals and accomplishments. I have met some lifelong friendships through this community and I could’t be more grateful. Pure Barre is an amazing and safe place to workout!

Great experience. Kelly Watkins is an awesome 5 star trainer and coach . Seems like all the staff here are quite good. Easily the best money you will spend in 2025 . Place is clean , organized, and not unreasonably priced . Drama free and not always so packed full of people 24 x 7 that you can't access the equipment you prefer. Spread the good word .

I have been goign to this gym for over 2+ years now. The trainers they have here are some amazing people who really know their stuff and love what they do. Depending on the time you want to workout. I would recommend either in the morning, mid afternoon or if your a night owl like myself come late at night so the gym won't be packed. If your here at night the gal (Kayla) who run the front desk does a terrific job. And this gym has everything you will need. So sign up today!!

Really great place to be working out, plenty of gym equipment so there's a variety, I think it's a pretty reasonable price compared to other gyms, and you have 3 different options for plans to choose from which is nice, I do wish all locations had saunas and all of the amenities though. But I signed up for peak results and the options to go to a bunch of classes has been really nice.

It is absolutely way to loud at this place. We all running from our problems already at the gym. Don’t make me DEAF too. At least offer ear plugs for the ear assault. I see why everyone has noise canceling at your facility. Did you say something I’m sorry I can’t hear you anymore.

I’ve been coming to this gym for well over a year now and have not had any bad experiences. The staff are friendly, the gym is always clean, and (since I go in the mornings) I don’t have to worry about it being too overly crowded inside or have to fight for machines. I appreciate that there is a sauna to sit in as well. If you’re thinking about checking out a gym, I’d say Gold’s is a great option!

The fact that you are not allowed to cancel your membership because they have to first APPROVE IT, otherwise, you are attached to their gym is insane! If I simply don't want to use their facilities because I don't like their equipments, I should not have an excuse to leave. The worst part it's that the whole process for them to approve my request of cancelation is taking months and in the meantime they keep charging me! If you can avoid this place, do it! There are way better gyms with reasonable policies.

Decent gym but a bad exit experience. Tried well ahead of the monthly charge to cancel my membership and was repeatedly told to “go do it on the website”. Went to the website and there was no option to do so. Big headache to deal with at the end and got charged for an extra month which was the whole point of what I originally wanted to avoid. These big franchise gyms make it so easy to get in but not to exit.

This location sucks. The locks here are terrible and the lockers in the changing room are non existent so you have to bring your own. There’s also no TV’s on the workout equipment, the equipment is ancient and confusing (some don’t tell you the target area or how to use it) and there’s a lot less machines here. The music is too loud and they choose close at 7 on weekends.. at least the staff are nice 🤷🏻♀️ but I would go out of my way to another location

I've done some research I'm trying to get a gym membership on disabled limited on income and online it says that planet fitness offers waivers for the annual fee to become a member I called and they said that that was not available all I want to do is get back in shape but unfortunately I can't afford the annual fee the monthly fee I can afford. I was hoping this would be the gym that I would like to be a member of unfortunately I'm going to have to look to other options.. I was really hoping to get a waiver since I'm on social security I just want to get back in shape and feel good about myself again but that's okay there are other gyms in this town

I have been coming to this planet fitness on and off for years. Usually the customer service is good but hasn't ever been absolutely amazing. That was until I started coming to this planet fitness again. Luis’ customer service skills are next level. As a manager for a branch for one of the biggest infrastructure companies in the world thats all about customer service I know when someone doesn't just do it because they have to and they do it because they are just a good outgoing person. Luis always greets all the customers. Luis is ALWAYS upbeat and goes out of his way for the gym goers of this location. Im use to the normal welcome and goodbye’s that most planet fitness give you but not with Luis. He not only always greets me when I walk in he remembers my wife and I and always sees if we’re doing good and how our day has been. Luis even goes as far as talking to me about similar interests we have! Its great!! Im having some issues with my membership and Luis is going above and beyond to help me. Luis even recognized me over the phone! I normally don’t make a big deal about someone’s customer service skills but I felt Luis’ needed to be commended. Planet fitness you have an employee that other companies are desperately looking for! Thank you Luis for all you do. You’re truly one of a kind brother.

I'm a long-time member. This place is a SUPER SPORT. That means it's supposed to be a tier above other 24 Hour Fitness locations. It's not. They used to give out towels. Not anymore. They used to have a swimsuit dryer. Now there's just a messed-up wall where it used to be. Management has said it won't be replaced. The showers are disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. The bathrooms are dirty and falling apart. There are bugs in the swimming area. The rules for the sauna and steam room are not enforced. Nobody showers. People come in wearing their sweaty gym gear and use the steam room and sauna. The pool area is always filled with people who aren't even exercising. There is no protocol for swim lanes. I'll be swimming and people will just get into my lane and start hanging out there and then get mad at me when I swim into them. Yesterday I counted at least ten machines out of order. Five of the stair-stepping machines were out of order. This place needs new management who actually care about it. FIX THIS PLACE.

This gym has nothing but broken down equipment and they never fix it. Yet they want to charge you an annual fee without an invoice and still never fix anything. If you want a crappy workout.. go here. The 24 hours of operation doesn’t make up for over half the equipment being broken or modified to barely usable use.

I’ve been going here for over 15 years off an on. It use to be top tier. Clean, it had a working swimsuit dryer, free towels. Now it’s disgustingly horrid. You especially feel it in the locker rooms. This place needs to shut down for 24 hours and be cleaned. I got a decent deal, the gym memberships here have dropped in price (I wonder why) I paid $38 a month after taxes and get two buddy passes. It’s almost not worth it. Please clean the facility. The machines are solid but they’re disgusting. This place is doing the bare minimum. I will update my review to more stars if not 5 stars after they clean the place.

Been paying $80 per month for my husband and I to come here, we've been members for over half a decade. The gym space itself is acceptable with older but good equipment. The classes are good too. My issue is the cleanliness of the showers, locker rooms, and pool area. It's been slowly going downhill for years but my latest visit just solidified I need to cancel our subscription. There were bodily fluids, clumps of hair, trash, food, and a used tampon on the floor in the shower room. This isn't "in-between cleanings" kinda dirt. This is "hasn't been cleaned in days" kinda filth. I asked the front desk gal when the space will be cleaned and she replied "our cleaning lady comes in at night." These kinds of places need to be cleaned THREE TIMES A DAY. I suspect the health department will have something to say about this place. It was worse than a motel or rest stop bathroom - the worst I've ever seen. Terrible job. Do better.

This is the most disgusting gym I have ever been to. Smells bad, sticky equipment, dirt and hair everywhere. I won’t even use the bathroom because of the smell. My friend has a membership here so I go with him every other week. I wouldn’t go here. The owner keeps commenting on all of the rules saying they need to do better but doesn’t seem to do anything. I used a paper towel to wipe down the handles on some equipment and the towel was brown after one wipe. I think it’s crazy that people pay to go to this place. The only reason my friend goes is because he has a lifetime membership but even he is disgusted. Crazy stuff honestly. To the owner: don’t bother commenting on this review until you do something about it!

I've been working out with Becca for the past few months and already feel a big difference in my strength and ability. I started off with one on one training sessions and have then transitioned into the group exercises. Becca takes the time to get to know her clients, their needs, and customizes workouts accordingly. Everyone is different - and she understands that! She's like a personal cheerleader at the gym! I highly recommend her as a trainer!

I had heard about Dragon Fitness, but had never been inside. I was looking for a change from the typical gym setting and trainer. Someone highly recommended Travis to me and there is a reason for that. I’ve been working for almost 5 months with Travis and I am so pleased. Make no mistake, Travis knows his stuff...I’ve seen significant progress with my mobility, strength and flexibility. He’s funny and friendly and makes you feel comfortable enough to answer any questions that you might have. You got goals? Call Travis...seriously you will NOT be disappointed.

Brad and the entire A3 team is top-notch. I started playing flag football on a team with my husband, and wanted to improve my speed and agility on the field. I live in Portland and researched places but couldn't find anything I liked. I actually found Brad's website and really liked his training philosophy and experience. I know he knows his stuff, since he not only played football at Eastern Washington University, but he's also the current Football Strength Coach at Portland State University. Anyways, I began training with Brad, and I can honestly say: I feel like I am the fastest girl in the league now. My speed and agility improved ten-folds. I would recommend Brad and the A3 team ten times over for any athletes or fit adults who are looking to take their skill set to the next level and stand out among the crowd.
