Just wanted to say that I’ve been a member at planet fitness for sometime now and I have been enjoying the good experiences that they provide there. The staff members are generally very attentive and one person really sticks out as a phenomenal leader, and that is Mr. Chris. He helped me quickly set up my membership and did a great job of making me feel as a welcomed and valued member. I expect to continue my membership for the foreseeable future and I will do my best to refer other folks over so that they can get the same great service that I’ve been enjoying! Thanks! John H.

I've worked out here consistently for about half a year and I love it. The staff are probably the best part, all are very kind, accommodating and cheer you on in your fitness journey. The equipment is well maintained and the other gym goers for the most part have good etiquette. You also can't beat the price.

Chris (general manager) is an amazing person. Each time I walk in into gym I’m always treated with respect welcomed. If you have any questions or concerns he’s guy to go to.

Great! Wish they had personal trainers. My daughter wanted to sign up for one to get on. Good fitness plan. Other than that it’s a good gym.

The facility recently underwent a significant equipment change and I wish I could say it was for the better in my opinion. Two of my favorite features that this gym had ( fitness and core circuits) were taken away. The fitness circuit has been moved to the floor where anyone can jump on. What’s wrong with that you might ask? Anyone can jump on this equipment and camp out preventing someone from completing the circuit in a timely manner. At least the other way offered some pressure on people to move on. The core section had 6 pieces of equipment and was also a circuit. Now there are only 4 pieces and spread out. More importantly was the attitude of the employees and the manager who vibed a “couldn’t care less” attitude when this was brought to their attention. I’d like to say I’m the only one, but while there multiple people also expressed their displeasure with the “upgrade”. The remainder of equipment is still in place, however there’s a lot more dead space now then there was before. They also doubled down on free weights and cages. Don’t see many people using those during my workouts, but ok. Overall I’m disappointed, I enjoyed the way it was and found it a great place to get away and do you for a while. Now, it appears that you’re compelled to wait on others more now than before.

I go to the gym for classes. I really enjoy the yoga and Pilates classes at LA fitness. The instructors are very good. They push the participants just enough along with clear instructions and encouragement. It's always a welcoming environment.

Green Turf is disgusting and never cleaned/vacuumed. The men's restrooms are never cleaned. The shower drains are backed up clogged to the point you're standing in other people's filth. The Sauna/warm room is broken and they refuse to fix or do anything about it. They just tell you the "part is on order". They finally took down the sign on the sauna door that says it's currently not working at its full potential so people would stop inquiring about it. It's a balmy 130 degrees and the wood is so disgusting from not being cleaned it's almost black. They literally have a sign on the club windows asking you to be gentle with the cable machines since they're constantly breaking. NO OTHER LOCATION has this many machines broken. Buy equipment that is reliable. The manager at this location has no business being in charge of a club like this. Nothing is handled in a timely manner, and they really don't care to fix any of the current issues. --club member 3 years and counting. go to any other club but Evans rd.

The pool has been low for about a week as of 8.21.24!! With the amount of money they make off of members; you’d think having a functioning pool would be par for the course. Plus they don’t have a functioning scale anywhere at all. I honestly wish I never left golds and will probably cancel and workout at home and go to my neighborhood pool instead. They also have a startup fee that I wasn’t happy about and charge to play pickle ball.

I have been going to LA Fitness for several months now. The machines are always clean and in good working condition, which I appreciate. The bathrooms are also well-maintained and I feel comfortable using them. The overall atmosphere of the gym is respectful. One thing I do wish is that there were earlier classes available, specifically in the mornings. I would love to start my day with a Zumba or Jazzercize class, but unfortunately, the earliest classes are in the late morning or early afternoon. This is a bit of a drawback for me as I prefer to work out in the mornings. Parking is usually not an issue at this gym, which is a huge plus. I have been to other gyms where finding a parking spot is a nightmare, so I appreciate the convenience of easy parking at LA Fitness. Overall, I would say that LA Fitness is a good gym. It has everything I need for my workouts and the cleanliness and respectful atmosphere make it a pleasant place to exercise. I just wish they offered more early morning classes to better fit my schedule.

This new LA Fitness is located in the former Gold’s gym. It has everything a body builder or an aerobic minded person would want. All new equipment: multiple Nautilus machines for every muscle group, benches, racks, weights, dumbbells, spin bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes with imbedded televisions. Large outdoor lap pool, spacious locker rooms, dry and wet saunas for those who enjoy these amenities. I was looking for a jacuzzi/hot tub but none was to be found. One concern is the minimal amount of cleaning stations. Update: cleanliness is lacking. I have been here at all times during the day and it is consistently unkept. Trash cans full and the mens bathroom/locker room is always in need of cleaning. I see plenty of sales people but only one custodian from time to time. Update: additional cleaning crew members hired and wipe stations.

So much fun and well worth the price! I would pay for the unlimited classes at $99 per month but I found a Groupon so I'll start with that 👏🏼 you won't be let down if you're all about spinning!!

I’m seriously considering moving to SAT just so I can go to Cyclebar😅 this studio and it’s people, management, etc is just the best. They go above and beyond to exceed expectations. The rides are fun, tough (but good tough) and I always have a great time. If you are not a member of this specific studio, you are missing OUT.

It is way too hard to cancel classes, they charge you $20 if you miss a class, which I believe is a little exaggerated. I am currently trying to cancel my membership but its way too complicated as I have to notice with a month of anticipation through email. So unnecessary tbh. I still appreciate the staff as they were always really kind! :)

I love this studio and I'm so glad I tried it. Cycling intimidated me, but everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful. The playlists are energetic and keep you motivated and moving. The studio owners are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend trying it out.

CycleBar Stone Oak is awesome! The facility and the equipment are very well maintained and the staff is second to none. Classes are offered throughout the day which is convenient for all schedules. The classes and the instructors are so much fun. I never thought I’d say that about a workout but truthfully the instructors, music, hype, and atmosphere make it unlike any spin class I’ve ever tried. I hosted a fundraising ride as well as my husbands birthday ride and everyone had a blast. It was certainly one for the books!

I have only been to Pure Barre a few times, but I already know this is the right workout for me. I feel extremely welcomed and the instructors walk around during class and give helpful tips on form. It is challenging but not impossible and I feel amazing after each class. I can’t wait to be a part of this community. Absolutely worth the price.

This Pure Barre studio is simply the best! If you are looking for a low-impact / full-body workout, you need to try it out! Great atmosphere and highly qualified instructors who are constantly supervising every move you do in class! Bonus part, 3 different locations in SA to choose from!

Beware of their shady tactics. I’ll explain… Classes are great and instructors are lovely, that’s not the problem. They are more than willing to sign a contract on your behalf - over the phone and then email it to you, but when you try to cancel via email it then is mandatory to come in an cancel. My job changed drastically and I was unable to get into the studio- not since July of 2024! I emailed to notify that I wanted to cancel in July, and then again in August- I did receive and email that I would get a call but I never had a message. Fast forward to October and I asked to please stop charging me. They insisted I come in and cancel- let me remind you they were more than fine for forge my signature on my behalf via email to sign up in the first place. Oh the best part- when I went to cancel there is a survey that you fill out and an employee stood behind me watching so I felt awkward and selected that I would recommend the studio etc. 🫣 Just beware. If your life changes and you can’t get into the studio you might waste $600+ dollars like I was.

Pure Barre Stone Oak has provided an encouraging and positive environment. I came here 4 1/2 years ago not knowing what to expect. It was extremely challenging. I have become part of an incredible Barre Family/ Tribe. So incredibly supportive. Our friendships have extended far beyond the studio. I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience here. I definitely recommend!!!! Just do it!!!!

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Women's sauna always reeks. I've tried letting the management know, and they said they clean it nightly. Not sure if it's just unhygienic gymgoers who drip their sweat without using a towel, lack of proper posting/education to use a towel by management, or if they don't actually clean it, but it's always so gross in here. Otherwise, I love this place - it's spacious and not usually too crowded.

No towel service at this location. Was told I could buy one if I needed one. Pool is under renovation, maybe? I say maybe because it appears abandoned. If you care for neither towels nor pools at a pricey gym, you might like this location.

The guy in charge of scheduling is rude and does not listen. I first signed up for them on a weekend, but was told that I was scheduled for a class the next day and not what I signed up for. I asked if I could do a weekend and he said that I could do Thursday. I had to insist in either Saturday or Sunday and he sounded upset that I just couldn't do the class on a weekday instead. After my first class, I asked at the desk to have a class relocated at a different location and the lady there seemed to do so right then and there, but right before my class I get a call from the guy saying that I will be attending the class at this location instead and they cannot just switch me over as I had originally asked. Looks like I won't be coming in tomorrow at the sound of it which is disappointing because I liked my first class alot. The place seems sketchy and a money trap that you can't get out of on closer inspection so I hope that I didn't get signed into any plan by them, otherwise I WILL be issuing charge backs.

If you were thinking about signing up to this overpriced gym thinking it will offer something exclusive and be “worth it” think again. I’ve been a member since 2014 and the way they treat members has just continued to go downhill. Especially after COVID changing their hours from 24//7 which it used to be, to treating guest with attitude and showing no consideration for its members. Firstly they have group training all throughout the day and week and take up most of the squat racks you thought you were signing up to take as Amat and not have to wait for like every other gym. They blast loud music on a Portable speaker and now today say they’re closing the sauna early but didn’t send out an email or any kind of notice that it would be closing early, for someone who liked to have a set schedule and routine why am I paying such a high dollar amount if you guys aren’t going to be accommodating in these situations and leave the sauna on for 30 more minutes before you close? All I was told was a very insincere “sorry”. There are some great staff here however there are days such as today where it’s a complete 180 usually amongst the younger staff. Terrible service from used to be a premium gym and experience.

Great gym. Very very busy and a little crowded. The machines are somewhat dated for a luxury gym but the staff is amazing and have had no bad experiences as far as gym culture. Showers/locker rooms/pickleball/recovery equipment/pool/sauna/classes really make this gym worth it so only sign up if you see yourself using those. The actual workout equipment is mediocre at best.

I just looked through negative reviews about cleanliness and staff, and I have to say that I completely disagree with these. I was looking for a change in my lifestyle and wanted to go to a gym that made me feel good to be there and this place delivers. I've been going since early this year and have been satisfied with everything I've used aside from a couple of hiccups with childcare. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I'm greeted with a smile every day by anyone I pass by. They have such an awesome variety of machines, classes, and workout equipment for any level of exercise. It does get crowded sometimes, but it's never caused me an issue. I'm constantly seeing people walking around keeping things clean, which is great to see. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to my trainer, Alan, who has been the source of my motivation for months. He's super friendly, extremely helpful, very flexible, and does an amazing job with not scaring you off with too much at once. I wouldn't still be coming if I hadn't met him, so THANK YOU. If you are looking for a trainer, I'd suggest Alan or Emma, who I've also worked with and is awesome! I won't be changing gyms any time soon, so thank you Lifetime!

The customer service is on point. Recently, the manager and two other staff members helped me with a very confusing issue with my membership (not their fault, but mine) over the course of several days. Helping me work that out deserves five stars alone. I have encountered some prickly staff members in other areas of the gym, but overall, the experience my family and I have had since we joined has been incredible for our overall wellbeing and our relationships with each other.

I've been to a few Life Time gyms lately and this one is definitely towards the top of the list. Clean, have a lot activities for families and kids, the pickelball court is great and indoor/outdoor pool is nice as well.
