Best Gym near Rio-rancho, New-mexico

Great place to workout, equipment is fairly new and in great condition. However there is never soap in the restroom. It’s not like it’s an occasional thing either, doesn’t matter what time you go, every soap dispenser is always empty. It almost feels like it’s a budget cut issue at this point. Sometime I rather just make the drive to a different defined location because the other ones don’t seem to have this issue.

The manager of this location is extremely friendly and great with the couple of interactions I’ve had with her. The child care at this location is AMAZING. My toddler LOVES to go work on “muscles” and they are truly the friendliest staff. Makes me happy that I can go to the gym and not worry about her. I would give this alone 10 stars but the rating is reflecting the other things. Now for the rest. My husband gets up at 3:45 every morning during the week to workout prior to his 40 minute drive to work. Already a handful of times nobody has shown up to open the gym. I’m not sure if there is only one opener? But if so then they need to have a couple to avoid this. Your most loyal customers go that early and besides the fees increasing, this issue needs to stop. Besides the child care the rest of the staff you will be lucky if you even get a hello. Again, I can forgive quite a bit if there is at least friendly staff but most aren’t and you have a few others that are GLUED to their phone and won’t even look at you- just hold up the scanner for your ID to get checked in. If you guys are going to charge a prettier penny, show up to open the gym at the time that is advertised, FIX broken equipment, and get new employees or current ones an attitude change so they have pride to be there. It’s a beautiful facility and my experience there has been mostly positive but lately these things have made us consider a new gym. Hoping y’all really read these and come back better.

Tried working out early before work and apparently someone slept in because the gym was not open when I arrived at 5am. They post it opens at 4:30am. There were about 30 cars waiting and no one showed to open. From talking to different peeps on site, this has happened several times already. This gym was awesome but seems to be falling apart with gym equipment not being repaired, sinks in lockers being broken and dirty and showers looking like they have had the same shower curtains for several years and constantly leaking. I don't really say much, but come on management, let's get it together please!

I was visiting for thanksgiving weekend and was so excited to be able to walk to this location since it was up the street from my dad’s house. Little did I know they had the most asinine guest pass policy. I’ve bought guest passes all over the country and happily pay the $20+ but never in my life have I had to pay (where they now have my card info) then asked to leave “something of value” at the front desk. For what? I’ve seen it if I’m borrowing a certain piece of equipment but I’m just using the facility. What’s the exchange for? Like I said; I walked, so no car keys and no wallet (it’s 2024- Apple Pay) so I was forced to leave my Beats headphones and listen to the gym music which was 2010s pop with an emphasis on Taylor swift songs (I’m a closet swiftie but not for working out). Anyway, thanks for ruining my workout and the start of my Friday! Luckily there’s another gym in the same parking lot that will take my money and let me keep whatever I have on me that’s valuable. (Btw couldn’t find anything posted on their website about day passes at all)

I personally don’t like this location. It smells bad almost every time I come. It’s always packed and hard to find parking. They don’t have any paper towels that I can easily find. The women’s sauna is too big and doesn’t get as hot as other locations. I only really like the dance class and massage room.

I chose to join Elite after extensive research and consideration, including visits to multiple other gyms. And boy, did I ever choose correctly! This gym is fantastic in all ways. First, the equipment is top-notch and AVAILABLE to use...I have gone morning, afternoon, and evenings and have never had to skip an exercise due to overcrowding. Second, the people are so nice: both staff and other members. Everyone is so welcoming. Third, the general manager (Jordan) is great...so helpful, so professional, and has created such a positive vibe at this gym, and especially in the group fitness classes that I am overwhelmed with gratitude. The trainers I've worked with so far are awesome (Jordan and Deanna). Fourth: The membership fees are fair and definitely reflect significant value and an excellent investment in health and well-being. Fifth: the gym is super CLEAN!! Sixth: The gym is open 24 hours/day! SUMMARY: I'd give Elite Physique gym more than 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 if that was an option......I'm so happy I joined!!!😍

My second home. I've been a member of elite physique for about six months and love it! The gym is clean, well-equipped, and never too crowded. There’s a great range of machines and free weights, plus a variety of classes. The staff is friendly and the trainers are knowledgeable and motivating. 24 hours make it easy to fit in workouts, and overall, it’s been a great place to improve my fitness. Highly recommend!!

I’ve been a member at elite physique for several months now, and I have to say, it’s been a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the personalized approach the team takes with every member. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials—no overcrowding or waiting for machines, which is a huge bonus. One of the standout features of this gym, however, is the staff. In particular, I want to shout out Storm! Her positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping members succeed is amazing to see! My family has been a member since it opened. There are machines that have been broken for over 6 years. I mentioned that fact to my son and was overheard by an employee who then told Anita, the owner. She revoked my membership for staying a true fact about the broken row machine. That is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to complaints about the owner. It was a great gym at one time, no longer. P.S. The machine wasn't being used by me. It was Kevin, who you know is disabled. It's unsafe for him to use it. I haven't worked out there in years because Defined is MUCH better. Again, you are lying. Charlie worked there for longer than he should have, and it. Was. Broken. You seriously are a pathological liar. You lie as a realtor, and I have texts to prove it. And yes, you are correct, I have zero respect for someone who sends inappropriate texts to my husband. I have proof. Have the success you deserve! From the looks of all your 1 star reviews, I'm not the only one who agrees. That's why you had to remove reviews off of your Facebook page. Because people tell the truth about you, your gym, and your poorly run business.

Love this local gym! Their staff is awesome and the gym is so clean. Peyton works front desk and day care, she’s lovely and my kids enjoy her so much! Such a huge plus since gym kid centers can be so iffy. My kids enjoy coming to the gym with me, so thank you!!!

Edit: Very odd response from the owner as we never received a single call back or email after leaving 5 voice messages 5-6 months ago. Don't waste your time with this black hole of a practice. After our family pediatrician sent a referral here, I called their office every week with no answer leaving five separate voice mails. After receiving no call back after 5 weeks, I finally managed to navigate their phone system to reach somebody in their testing department who confirmed that they received the referral and stated due to high demand, we would get a call 4 weeks after they received the referral which would have been the week prior. That was 5-6 months ago and we still have yet to receive a return call! Luckily we were referred to You, Me and Therapy which was an amazing experience and has already completed the screening.

I'd give zero stars if it would let me!!!worst communication and customer service ever!!!!! The scheduling lady was being very rude but once I started giving it back I was in the wrong and hung up on, multiple times. then when trying to reschedule my daughters 3 appts that they canceled they would only reschedule one. I asked why can't we reschedule all three so I can take the needed time off work Sandra the testing manager said "because I'm only going to schedule one" After being hung up on again I decided I'd take my child elsewhere. If they treat adults this way I can only imagine how they'd treat my not so easy to deal with child. I should have trusted the other bad reviews!!!!! Sounds good, whatever you need to say to justify your actions I never used "profanity" with any employees, nor did I harass anyone, just gave the same respect I received.

I am one of those women who struggled her entire life with depression, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, math, directions, hypersensitivity, language and communication, and just fitting in. I was blown away to receive an Autism Level 2 diagnosis last week, because I have searched for behavioral interventions for 6 years or more. I have a diagnosis from 1985 named "Minimal Brain Dysfunction". My mother said that I never looked at her when I was born and I was not at all like my brothers. Words . . . I knew I had strong tendencies toward autistic like behaviors and I do struggle with similar mental health issues, like anxiety. PG Psychological provided the evaluation that showed the Autism Level 2 diagnosis, and now I will be receiving occupational therapy to better handle everyday life. I will also learn through modeling effective connection and communication with others. It is like a simple turn of a doorknob, except the turn of the doorknob had to be in the correct direction in order to open that door. My true north, or my correct direction of the doorknob, will lead to a much happier, less stressful life whereby my true potential can finally take off. To be around others who struggle like I do helps me to not feel so alone. PG Psychological were very detailed and complete in how their evaluation processes were processed. I was not a number or a "typical" client to PG Psychological. All of this, is a life changer for me. I am receiving the care I need now and I now have a diagnosis that explains so much as it transpired in my life. I am not running behind forever as I have felt I was doing. I can now boldly step into my shiny new life at the wisdom age of 67 with more confidence, any shattered pieces are already piecing themselves back together.

I'm writing this review with the hope that some changes will be implemented in their clinic, due to the ordeal that we went through today. If you scan through the reviews and read the business responses, you can see that there is little accountability on their part and the word "harassment" is used liberally anytime someone voice their frustration. There is a world of difference between being vocal about a frustration and harassing people. As a matter of fact, they should know better about this distinction, because they are a mental health clinic. To make this short: after receiving a voicemail from the clinic to schedule my final appointment / discuss my results, I was told I had to wait 2 months from now to even know my diagnosis, even though HIPAA regulations warrants the right for patients to access their own records at any time: they are just too busy to communicate the results to me until then. This would frustrate / upset pretty much anyone waiting around for weeks for life changing results, which I shared over 2 short phone calls with the scheduling staff while asking to be called back by “someone I can actually hold responsible for this”. The call back from the clinic director: - zero intentions of letting me speak or hearing me out from the get go / assumed I was in the wrong before even letting me talk - proceeded with an accusatory monologue blaming me for the emotional response of her staff and dismissing my own - accused me of "harassment" (we're talking about 2 short phone calls here) - threatened to throw away my evaluation if I didn't comply to her expectations of the conversation - told me I had " 2 minutes to talk" when I pointed out she didn't give me any opportunity to explain the issue (turned out to be 30 seconds) - she hung up on me The irony here is that it's a mental health clinic and I was literally shaking after she hung up the phone on me. Someone else eventually called me back later. She explained this person was having a bad day and is dealing with chronic pain: in that case, this person should not be in charge of calling back escalated phone calls, period. This whole situation could have been avoided at multiple stages of the process, and it seems to be a recurrent issue with this specific clinic according to the reviews. At no point did I receive an apology from this business. If you need a neuropsych evaluation, I heard great things about Lindsay E Lennertz (PsyD).

I call to initiate the steps in an autism evaluation. They say I need a referral. So I call my primary and have a referral sent over. I never hear from GD Psych. I call the number on their website and they say “oh they should call you in a week or so”. It’s been several months. I’m extremely disappointed to not receive the help I’m seeking.

The best gym experience! No one likes to be the ‘newbie’. On the first day, I felt welcome & part of a team. ALL the coaches are amazing, positive & encouraging. No matter what your fitness level, you will get a great workout. Javi has created a gem!

Best way to start off the day, it's intense, but 30 minute effort and done. Every trainer who has run the class has been incredible. They all work to make sure you're using proper technique and give great feedback. I love love love it!

Amazing place to work out. With Fit Body Boot Camp I feel like I have a personal fitness coach and nutritionist. The staff is not only professional but they motivate me to be my best fit self. This is by far the bast place to work out and get healthy!

Best place to workout in Rio Rancho & Albuquerque. The owners are outstanding veterans with nutritional knowledge.The coaches are amazing, knowledgeable and very welcoming; and the RESULTS are REAL while being part of a friendly community.
