So I brought one of my friends as a guest so that he can try the massage chair and hydro massage. They denied it and when I asked if as a Black card member if I can skip it and let my guest try them both, they offered a tour and said only can try one. Looks like they don’t care about retaining members especially new members. I’m canceling my membership. So much for planet dumpster. Thao the manager didn’t care and seemed like she was least interested in the company or the business or members.

this review is for those who go in the morning between 6-8am. the staff is kind, helpful, and always interacts with you when you enter and when you leave. equipment is well maintained. the other members don’t appear to have ego, usually to themselves, and has shown etiquette. i have the black card but i can’t speak to the facilities, i can say they look maintained and look forward to using them in the future from the showers to the tanning booths.

I visited when visiting from out of town and found this planet to be on par with most planets across the country. Crowd was light during the late morning hours, equipment was maintained adequately, and the cleanliness level from locker room to floor was average. I'd have no issue returning the next time work takes me to San Jose.

I'm giving this review mainly on billing. That aside, this gym is okay. Issue with billing: it makes absolutely no sense to have a bank account and back credit card for reoccuring membership payments then ironically get a late fee. What was rhe point of signing up with 2 different payment methods? Lol my bank account number and routing number was written correctly from my void checks so there should be no issue with billing and payment. I contacted planet fitness yet they said its independantly owned and operated. And said I have to go in person to resolve or call. Planet fitness does not answer phone calls which I do not understand. You're just sitting there at the front scanning memebships. Its not hard to answer a phone. I expect employees to always be at the front checking/scanning memberships anyways. Not like the workers do much. They don't enforce the no bag on floor rule. Its not like theres much to be done around the gym. It just means they're not doing their job and are too relaxed. I have a funny feeling this is going to be headache to resolve the billing. If it doesn't get resolved properly and correctly I will switch to 24 or somewhere else. Non billing review I give 4 stars. My intent is to stregthen my upper back. I had degenerative disc disease found in MRI and physical therapist and neurologist avocated for strengthening my back back muscles. I opted to do their excercises on top of going to the gym. The gym has a lot of machines but feel like too many tredmills. I havenly really gone to gym before bud did weight training in college. It was relieve the machines visually tell you and point out what part of the body it works out and there is QR code on each machine to show you how to do it. I appreciate this alot. Some workouts my therapist taught me I was able to use some of those machines with pulleys with adjustable heights. I don't know what its called but people dont seem to linger on those too long which is good for me. The crowd is not as much as 24 which was a deciding factor for me to try this gym. Foam rollers are available if you ask at the desk. Bit different than traditional ones you get yourself at 24. These one are half sized lengthwise but still get the job done. I wish they had a place to view foam roller excercises. I feel like nobody at the gym knows how to use a foam roller or the benefits be nice if they made an opportunity to help people explore that. The app has excercise workouts but never what I'm looking for. The app's UI is nice to tell you the crowd amount at any give time. Its nice to indicate whether I should hold off until later in the day or help find go times to go. My thing is I want to go in and do my intended workouts. I don't like waiting on others. For example they only have 2 lat pull down bars. However there is a few other machines that target back muscles I was able to explore. When I'm working out my back, I want to work out my legs. I don't want its called but squat machine where your sideways is always taken. I wished they had more of those machines. The app does allow you view some workouts. I don't see any of machines on there. I assumed able able to view them on the app but can't. I mean it would make sense to keep track of progress in "My journey" section of the apps UI but its a missed opportunity. I guess I like to prepare beforehand and dont want to spend time figuring what machine I should use if I could have looked it up in the app beforehand. If its somewhere in the app and not just qr code links, I can't find it. And it should be easy to find if it is in the app. I only recommend this gym as a begininer gym and maybe go somewhere else. What they do and how resolve my issue might make me go somewhere else.

I usually go to this location because they have more amenities, and there is more space to workout in the back of the gym. However, customer service is lacking, and so is sanitation. Here’s my experience with the Milpitas location thus far: - Front end management greet, but they also give you a stinky face. This is absolutely unprofessional, and I do not appreciate that. as a matter of fact, I’ve acted the same way to them because I’m only there to work out, and I try to not interact with them as much as possible. - They do not clean up the bathrooms often. Once, I wanted to use the toilet, but it was clogged, and when I went to reach out to them, they gave me a very dirty look, and was absolutely reluctant to he not only my request, but reluctant into others as well. - They have a lot of broken treadmills that have not been fixed for months. Although very convincing that they changed some of the treadmills, I wish they could be doing better. The only upside to this is that they have abdominal machines at the back of the gym, where I’m able to work on abs and cardio more often, compared to the Fremont location where they only have mats.

Dec 24 update 24 hour fitness commented on my last review asking me to contact them directly. And I have seen them ask all individuals here do the same. Lo and behold, I did contact them, sent them multiple emails, and they never responded. So responding to our comments and promising quick action is all a sham. Poor management, inadequate actions, zero accountability. Nov 2024 The manager was very rude and racist towards my dad. She kept pressing him to enroll in the gym and pay instantly and when he refused, she asked him to leave the facility. It was windy and stormy outside and my dad had to wait out in the cold while I finished my swim lesson. This behavior cannot be justified. I am shocked people like this still exist who can’t respect elders and show them the least bit of courtesy. I really wish 24 Hour Fitness hired better.

Absolutely rude front desk lady. No sense of customer service or basic decency. Their trials are a joke. You can sign up online and get the confirmation but they turn you down at the front desk. Why send online confirmations then? Such a waste of time, no wonder this place has terrible reviews ask around.

I have been going to 24 Hour Fitness since 2017 and used to love the Milpitas location. Today, I tried to cancel my membership and had to call at least three times before someone finally answered. When the lady answered, I told her I needed to speak with the GM. She immediately responded, “You who?” I clarified, “Your manager!” During the conversation, she was impatient and had an attitude. She didn’t say “Have a good day” and quickly hung up after helping me cancel my membership. No wonder this location has so many bad reviews now. It seems like most 24 Hour Fitness locations are going downhill.

Good gym with varieties of equipment, weights, turf area, machines etc. Machines could use a little upgrade. Weekday evenings are busier which is expected. Very friendly trainers with good experience and knowledge. I regularly use pool for lap swimming, but pool here could be cleaner than what it is. Less crowed during mid-day. I don’t use jacuzzi so I don’t know about other reviews here but I have seen a sign for a long time that the Jacuzzi is broken. I like the steam room but could be cleaner as well. I have used various gyms including LA fitness, Boston/NY Sports Club etc, compared to those, this one needs improvement overall. Pros: Great parking space, good location , closer vicinity to supermarkets, restaurants etc if you are running errands along.

Jan 2025 Update- As you can see from every review posted here, they just have an auto reply asking people to contact them. I did contact them, send them an email, but NOTHING happened. Management is awful and a complete failure. The front lady who masquerades as the manager is absolutely atrocious. Avoid this place at all costs. Nov 2024 - My FIL visited 24 hr fitness in Milpitas on Nov 21 at 5.40pm. He was waiting near the registration area for my wife to come back from the swim class and wanted to enquire about the pool services when he had the worst possible experience & inhuman treatment by the manager on site. Being an international swimmer during his younger days, he wanted to know more about how big the pool is, and the manager simply did not know anything about her own facility. My FIL, understandably, went to a different employee hoping somebody else would know the answer to his question… but just then the manager came running and shouting at him, accusing him of being a sexist. She shouted at him some more publicly and made him get out of the place. How is asking details about the pool size sexist, specially when you don’t know something as basic as what the pool size is. This reeks of racist behavior from the manager. A 62 year old dad to two girls was shouted at publicly, accused of being a sexist, made to leave the premises and go out in the cold at night JUST for asking specifics about the pool services- all this while his daughter was inside, unaware, swimming. Avoid this place at all costs - racist management!

We attended a Diwali event at Milpitas ICC center. It was too congested inside with stalls and shows happening at the same time. A lady Mike coordinator was so abrupt when the kids are doing the performance on martial arts. All parents and kids really did not appreciate that behaviour for the stage performance.

Nice community center in Milpitas. I came here to see the Sankranthi Sambaralu organized by BATA, Bay Area Telugu Association. It has enough parking place. Auditorium will fit for 500 people easily. If has good reception with seating area.

Loved the gym and customer service. I was able to sign up for one day pass to re experience Gold’s Gym. All the equipments are in amazing condition and unique that can’t be experienced in an average facility. They had a section for legs which many squat racks and mirrors all around. Whenever I get a chance to train at Gold Gym, it takes my workout to an extra gear! Do wish there was one in Fremont, but I it is worth the extra commute to drive to Milpitas to train at Gold’s Gym.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the newly opened Gold's Gym branch in Milpitas, and despite the mixed reviews about how hot the gym is, rude front desk and the lack of photos online, I decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did! Walking into the gym, I was immediately impressed by the modern and spacious layout. The facility is brand new, and it shows everything from the equipment despite some of them are out of service but there’s plenty different options. The gym boasts a wide variety of machines and free weights, catering to all fitness levels, which was a pleasant surprise given the limited information available online. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure I felt comfortable and knew where everything was. Despite the few reviews that had me hesitant initially, my experience at this Gold's Gym was overwhelmingly positive. It’s a hidden gem that I’m sure will become a favorite spot for many fitness enthusiasts in the area. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself—sometimes, you just have to see it to believe it!

I love this place. I gave it 5 stars cuz it’s clean and people put their weights away. It reasonably busy but never too busy where I’m waiting for something. Free weights, cables, and leg land are awesome. The only thing I’m not a big fan of are the machines. They feel stiff and no matter how I just adjust the seats or other parts, doesn’t feel right for me. Everything else is great though. Still a 5 star gym.

Absolutely amazing gym! I’ve worked out for over 50 years and this is the best gym I’ve ever used including prior Gold’s in the area. Joined right away and sorry I didn’t know of it earlier. Outstanding equipment, great layout, spacious, clean, great front desk staff. I’ll be migrating to the upcoming Hamilton Avenue location when it opens later in the year, but for now it’s worth the 40 minute drive to Milpitas. Constructive input: consider doubling up on the hack squat, leg press, and leg extension and curl machines. The owners have put a ton of money into this location and the upcoming Hamilton Avenue location, and we all get to benefit!

Clean facility and new equipment. This pales in comparison to 24 hr fitness. I specifically joined the gym because of their dedicated “Leg Land” room for leg day. The only downside is that there is only one hack squat machine. It would be nice to have more available, especially during peak hours. Other than that, I am glad I joined the gym.

I love OTF Milpitas! I was always pretty unmotivated and never had a consistent workout routine until I joined OTF Milpitas when they first opened. Now, I go 3-5x a week and am in the best shape of my life! Classes: The classes go for about 60 minutes and you divide your time on the treadmill, rower, and floor (free weight exercises). Every day, there is a different template for the class and different exercises so you never get bored! The coach walks each group through each exercise over the mic and also comes up to correct your form individually so you are never lost. Music is loud but upbeat and modern, and free earplugs are provided. Sometimes, there will be benchmark challenges, such a 200m row or 1 mile, and you can compare your times with your previous times in the app to see how much your fitness has improved. I went from running a 7-minute something mile to 6:22! Fastest in my life! I used to go to a generic gym and never had much motivation running on the treadmill or doing exercises by myself. OTF has given me structure and really makes working out fun for me! Staff: Super nice!! It feels welcoming that a lot of the front desk staff remembers me and knows my name. They are very nice and helpful. They also make sure to celebrate your milestones: birthdays, 15th class, 200th class -- you name it! As for the coaches, I love especially Coach Eva, Maddy, and Hilary! They always shout you out personally and encourage you to do a better job. Studio: Clean!! Air is always circulating. Never feels stuffy. Each treadmill has its own fan. Challenges: Every month, they'll have some sort of challenge for an additional fee $15-35, in which if you complete it you either get entered into a raffle, win a t-shirt, or compete for a chance to win a prize! So fun! My fondest memory is winning the 8-week transformation challenge and a first-place prize of $250. I went from 28.7% body fat to 23.9% body fat in 8 weeks! There were 2 categories of weight loss or muscle gain and divided into male and female participants, so they gave out 4 first-place prizes total, along with second and third place prizes. How encouraging! Technology: I love wearing the OTbeat burn (that you purchase separately) because it tracks your heart rate zones and calories that you burn real-time, live! It tells you if you are slacking or if you are pushing yourself appropriately. If you spend at least 12 minutes in the orange zone (84-91% of your max heart rate) then you can continue to burn calories for several hours even after your workout is completed! Cool!

I am glad I joined OTF 4 months ago! I absolutely love the positive vibes here and it never feels too crowded even with a fully booked class. Great workouts, fun themed days, various challenges, and coaches who care are a plus! The facilities are clean and well maintained and I do like they have complementary items in the bathrooms and at the front desk as well as lockers and a place to shower if needed. Every single staff member I have come into contact with has been amazing and motivating. I look forward to my workouts here!

I’ve always been one of those people who go to the gym do great for a month then never go back and OTF has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health/fitness! The front desk staff are always nice and helpful while the coaches keep you motivated and pumped each class. Shout out to Coach Eva for pushing me to lift heavier than I ever thought I could! Being able to book my classes in advance is also convenient and helps keep me accountable. Definitely recommend if you’re thinking of trying a class, go for it! :)

Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions, with a supportive community and effective workouts. My knee injury and overall physical condition evolved in a few weeks. The classes are not only challenging and fun, but also provide a sense of community and accountability that keeps me coming back for more. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about helping us reach our personal goals. What stands out to me is the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere - everyone feels at home, regardless of their fitness level. The classes are designed to accommodate different skill levels, so I can take it at my own pace and focus on my own progress. Boosted by the energy and encouragement of my fellow members.

Fitzone doesn’t look like much from the outside — it’s humble, not flashy. It doesn’t have rows of machines or the latest “fitness trends,” but it has a solid range of equipment that focuses on what I need to get a full-body workout that is both challenging and interesting. The instructors - Irfan, Ryan, Joanna, are super knowledgeable, friendly, and, most importantly, they know how to structure workouts that challenge me without turning every session into an episode of Ninja Warrior. They never treat me like just another body in a class. They’re quick to correct my form, introduce new exercises, and somehow make even the most grueling sets feel totally doable and productive. What I also love is how they include exercises that help with coordination, focus, and stability, ensuring my fitness improves holistically. Beyond weight training, the yoga classes are a hidden gem. The yoga instructors - Ramya, Aparna, Shobha have a rare gift for making every session both relaxing and challenging, no matter your experience level. After every workout, I leave with that perfect mix of pride and exhaustion, knowing I’m that much closer to being the person I want to be.

Irfan is an amazing Personal Trainer! He listens carefully and caters to your needs. He explains benefits of each workout and its importance. It is amazing to see the progress I have made so far especially after recovering from fractured and dislocated wrist. He motivates me beyond and I was able to barbell deadlifts (125lbs!) and other weights with great confidence which I thought was not possible after injury! Always checks up on me day after workout on how I am feeling etc which is very essential. Loved loved working with him. I highly recommend him. Thank you so much, Irfan! Keep motivating people 😀

I would give this a five star but this is only a four star rating because a lot of the times there is no receptionist. Also one particular receptionist that gets on my nerves. He isnt respectful and is VERY loud and obnoxious. This would have been a two star if it wasn’t for the amazing coaches and environment there. So I recommend going there but just beware of this one receptionist. (:

Solid classes taught by a professional. Rudi Ott has been a long term Bay Area Martial Arts instructor and consistently grows strong students. I got a chance to check out his bag class and advanced pad class. The students were smart and savvy. The work outs were intense. My only qualm is that they could use some streetside signage. But i think they have that coming in now. Overall a great work out spot with high quality instruction

High quality Muay Thai and kickboxing training from professional fighters, ranging from (online & outdoor) beginner courses to full on fight training (during normal, non-COVID-19 operations). It's a strong community of people who love the sport without the ego. Coach Rudi runs the fight team and he doesn't mess around. He keeps it fun, but safe. He pushes us hard but keeps things under control. He also plays the best underground hip hop music when we train! I especially love the women on the fight team. It's all love and respect. We genuinely support each other and give each other props when a clean and controlled strike is landed. I also love that my membership includes access to all 5 of the Smash Gyms in the Bay Area, so it's well worth it!

Coach Rudi sent me a text that offer voucher for free class pass and let me pick the class schedule on 4:30pm. And on that day kept sending me message that ask me come to gym 20 minutes early, then I arrived on 4:15pm and they told me no class on 4:30, asked me come back on 5:30. Their service is really bad, and didn't want to make up for me, even try to blame on me about miss communication ( I save all texts for proof )and ask me to come back again, it just waste my time ! if they don't have class on 4:30, why ask me to come early?! they just trick new people come and not offer good service. Very terrible service, the worst gym in Milpitas, don't go.

Awesome place & my favorite playground! Very attentive trainers/Coaches/Staff. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun place to lose some weight and be fit. Way better than joining boring gyms and doing boring workouts. Preplan workout so you don't have to think about what you have to do next. Workout at your own pace or have them push you to the next level! No time schedule, just come and hop right into the workout. Only about 30 minutes a day is all you need to lose over 500+ calories! The temple has excellent beginner to advanced meditation programs, yoga and Kriya sessions which I've been attending for the last 4 years. It is the most kid-friendly temple in the Bay Area. My kids enjoy all the free program likes memory enhancement programs, yoga for kids, etc. etc. I know they also offer emotional support meditation programs like Life Bliss Program. I found all the people so friendly, resourceful..And oh yes, free vegetarian dinner every night..

The people here are very friendly and they get very excited to show you everything, they also have a ton of programs and meditations happening daily. I've done their Nithya Dhyaan Yoga program 3 times so far and each time I open so much of myself I didn't even know existed lol.
