Dec 24 update 24 hour fitness commented on my last review asking me to contact them directly. And I have seen them ask all individuals here do the same. Lo and behold, I did contact them, sent them multiple emails, and they never responded. So responding to our comments and promising quick action is all a sham. Poor management, inadequate actions, zero accountability. Nov 2024 The manager was very rude and racist towards my dad. She kept pressing him to enroll in the gym and pay instantly and when he refused, she asked him to leave the facility. It was windy and stormy outside and my dad had to wait out in the cold while I finished my swim lesson. This behavior cannot be justified. I am shocked people like this still exist who can’t respect elders and show them the least bit of courtesy. I really wish 24 Hour Fitness hired better.

Absolutely rude front desk lady. No sense of customer service or basic decency. Their trials are a joke. You can sign up online and get the confirmation but they turn you down at the front desk. Why send online confirmations then? Such a waste of time, no wonder this place has terrible reviews ask around.

I have been going to 24 Hour Fitness since 2017 and used to love the Milpitas location. Today, I tried to cancel my membership and had to call at least three times before someone finally answered. When the lady answered, I told her I needed to speak with the GM. She immediately responded, “You who?” I clarified, “Your manager!” During the conversation, she was impatient and had an attitude. She didn’t say “Have a good day” and quickly hung up after helping me cancel my membership. No wonder this location has so many bad reviews now. It seems like most 24 Hour Fitness locations are going downhill.

Good gym with varieties of equipment, weights, turf area, machines etc. Machines could use a little upgrade. Weekday evenings are busier which is expected. Very friendly trainers with good experience and knowledge. I regularly use pool for lap swimming, but pool here could be cleaner than what it is. Less crowed during mid-day. I don’t use jacuzzi so I don’t know about other reviews here but I have seen a sign for a long time that the Jacuzzi is broken. I like the steam room but could be cleaner as well. I have used various gyms including LA fitness, Boston/NY Sports Club etc, compared to those, this one needs improvement overall. Pros: Great parking space, good location , closer vicinity to supermarkets, restaurants etc if you are running errands along.

Jan 2025 Update- As you can see from every review posted here, they just have an auto reply asking people to contact them. I did contact them, send them an email, but NOTHING happened. Management is awful and a complete failure. The front lady who masquerades as the manager is absolutely atrocious. Avoid this place at all costs. Nov 2024 - My FIL visited 24 hr fitness in Milpitas on Nov 21 at 5.40pm. He was waiting near the registration area for my wife to come back from the swim class and wanted to enquire about the pool services when he had the worst possible experience & inhuman treatment by the manager on site. Being an international swimmer during his younger days, he wanted to know more about how big the pool is, and the manager simply did not know anything about her own facility. My FIL, understandably, went to a different employee hoping somebody else would know the answer to his question… but just then the manager came running and shouting at him, accusing him of being a sexist. She shouted at him some more publicly and made him get out of the place. How is asking details about the pool size sexist, specially when you don’t know something as basic as what the pool size is. This reeks of racist behavior from the manager. A 62 year old dad to two girls was shouted at publicly, accused of being a sexist, made to leave the premises and go out in the cold at night JUST for asking specifics about the pool services- all this while his daughter was inside, unaware, swimming. Avoid this place at all costs - racist management!
