I recently had the unfortunate experience of joining Lifetime Fitness, and it has been quite disappointing. One of the first issues I encountered was the unexpected price hikes; it seems like every few months, the membership fees are increased without any tangible improvements in services or facilities. Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any gym, yet Lifetime Fitness falls short in this department. The locker rooms and showers are often unkempt, with litter and unpleasant odors being common occurrences. Another major downside is the attitude of the staff. On several occasions, I’ve encountered rude and unhelpful employees who seem more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting members. The amenities, which are a significant reason for choosing a gym, are frequently closed for "maintenance." This has become more of a norm than an exception. If the amenities are consistently unavailable, members should be entitled to a refund or some form of compensation. Lastly, the gym is consistently overcrowded. Finding an available machine or space for a workout can be a challenge at any time of day. Between the constant price increases, lack of cleanliness, unfriendly staff, unavailable amenities, and overcrowding, it’s hard to justify continuing a membership here. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements for the benefit of all members. Until then, I would advise potential members to consider other options.

I’m a member of Lifetime living in Miami and came here while traveling. There are a few impressive aspects of this location like the full basketball and squash courts, lap pools etc that I’m not used to. However, one thing that completely shocked me was the sauna. That’s usually one of my favorite parts of my day and workout wind down, but this was not a relaxing or enjoyable environment. In my home studio, it is tranquil, dark, quiet, and respectful: many people are there to relax. Here all of the lights are on (?) it is a bit dirty-seeming, and EVERYONE was talking, at a normal outside voice volume! It may just be me, but that is enough for me to not want to join a studio. Thankful to be back in my home studio in the quiet dark sauna while writing this 😅

Came in for a tour. The level of disinterest in customer service or appreciation was very telling to the quality of the experience one would have here. The feeling is definitely that they are so big that a member is just a number. Not what I would expect for a club calling itself luxury in name and price.

Life Time fitness center is a great place for all ages There are 3 floors with new equipment and lots of amenities. They also have a Life Spa with stylists, barbers, nail technicians, estheticians and massage therapists. Large parking lot. Saturday was not busy when I went, especially in the afternoon.

This gym used to be awesome and tailored for people actually interested in fitness. Now all Lifetime wants to do is become a pickleball senior citizen center. They're removing all basketball courts at this location, leave weightlifting equipment broken for extended periods of time, and the locker rooms at this one are frequently dirty with overflowing towel bins. On top of that, the staff is extremely rude, and doesn't care about your experience. Complete waste of money for what you pay. Bring back 2019 Lifetime. There are already 500 people that have signed this petition. The new GM at Lifetime clearly has an agenda based of forcing out members that he doesn't want there.

Members be aware: they don’t “value” you as a member just ur money!! Mind you I have been a member for over 5 years now and just requested my membership to be canceled based on the response of the manager Arlete Wilson . So I enrolled my teen to a class and the week leading to it he asked me that he wasn’t comfortable doing the class. So I reached out to get either a refund or a credit towards my account for a different class since I have 3 other children who enroll on a consistent basis. The person running this class responded by saying she won’t give neither a refund or credit as I didn’t have a valid reason to do so and perhaps I have make my child come to the class.. So I reached out to the manager in hopes of getting more assistance but no the answer was the same! Without any basis or reasoning just not even a credit on my account-so I said ok u can cancel My membership which she gladly accepted! Now if she was trying to keep a member happy I am sure she could have provided a credit to my account and if she really didnt want to loose a member she would Have tried to find other ways to resolve the matter at hand. To prove my point they don’t care about you they care about the money so much so that they actually lost more Money just to keep a class fee paid! Terrible terrible!

I’ve been a member of MetroWest YMCA for two years. Here is my honest opinion. I. Everyone is on their phones, either texting or scrolling constantly. Everyone is wired with headphones or ear buds, so everyone is in their own time and space. It’s a gathering placing for groups of high schools kids who don’t know shit, about how to properly use the gym equipment safely. They just congregate with their buddies and shoot the shit! Everyone has a ego, pushing heavy weight without using proper form. The primary. lifting is pumping up the triceps and biceps. The equipment is sub-standard with limited adjustments - Outdated. Very limited pro equipment. I still go three days a week. I get a good monthly membership and it’s close to where I live. I’m seventy-seven years old. I’ve been to different YMCA’s and pro gyms in various states since the age of fifteen. In the 1960’s it was body building and in the 1970’s powerlifting. Today, I’m able to work out, to stay strong. I have physical impairments that limit my range of motion, but I do what I can. Thanks

Biased. Great facility, very unfortunately for our family the pool schedule is biased. We joined to have an opportunity to cool off and exercise in the pool. It is so hard to find things to do with the kids that are cool in this summer heat. Some days there is family swim at 7 (when kids are not out) and other days there is NO swim time. All I am asking is for one lap lane block, for instance 12:05, to be committed to serving the families in this area. It is important to serve the entire community❤️.

I went there to try the gym out and they gave me a guest pass, I started using the gym and I was told I had to leave the gym bc I was wearing flip flops. I told the lady it was my first time that I had no way of knowing there was a closed toe shoes policy but she said she didn’t care and said I had to leave or put shoes on. Horrible customer service and not how you treat a new member who’s is trying out your gym

I was going here with my step father who is a member! I am also his PCA and I work for him! I have a fitness background and know what I am doing I was teach his some exercises so he can do because he needed some coaching mind you the prices for training at this gym are outrageous! Anyways I was teaching him some things to do at the gym besides a treadmill and was approached by a trainer who discriminated against my step fathers age and stated that I am not a trainer and that the exercise that I was having him do are not for his age group! Mind you she has no idea what his capabilities are! She stated that it was body building exercise! Which we were doing low weight low reps low sets!!! Them she had the audacity to say however if you are willing to join the trainers team we are will to hire you!! 🤣🤣🤣 what a joke The gym it self is so small barely enough equipment! And the bathrooms are so dirty and dingy! I tried to take a shower in the locker room and there were dead flies on the walls! The sauna only fits like 4 or 5 people and small! It honestly smells moldy! I was so confused with why you need a code to go into the locker rooms for adults but not the children’s! And also was confused at this because it feels like a daycare with so many children around and not an actual gym! It honestly felt like I was at Suburban Athletics Club but at least they closed their gym and focused solely on the childcare part! That is what the YMCA should do separate both the kids daycare/preschool to another building and expand their gym and have a better maintained facility!!! Anyways we will be canceling my dads membership tomorrow and switching to a much better gym down the street that doesn’t discriminate against age!!!

I can’t say enough great things about this gym! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home. Alba, the manager, was the one who signed me up, and she made the process so easy and enjoyable. Her positive energy is contagious, and she’s always a cheerful face I look forward to seeing when I come to work out. The facility itself is fantastic—spacious, clean, and filled with good vibes. The energy here is uplifting, and it keeps me motivated every time. My favorite way to end a workout session is to relax in the sauna, which is the perfect way to unwind and recharge. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a true community, this is the spot! Highly recommended!

I’ve been a member here for a little less than a year, and I absolutely love this gym! It’s spacious and has a great vibe, and everyone here is genuinely nice, which makes it feel like a true community. The staff is fantastic—always friendly and ready to help out. The equipment is top-notch, so I always have everything I need for a solid workout. The amenities are a huge plus, too; I especially appreciate the cryotherapy and sauna for recovery. And with plenty of parking, it’s super convenient to get in and out. This place really has everything I could ask for in a gym.

Came to this club after BSC Westborough closed and it was the best club in the area hands down. The facility is fantastic with a ton of machines and weights that allows you to get your work done quick and easy even during busy hours. The staff is always friendly and it is definitely the place you want to work out in the Framingham area.

Loved it. Great equipment, friendly members, great staff, good music. Inclusive community. Extra points for an ergonomic bench press. Great for posing practice. Convenient location. Minor suggestions for improvement: Don’t let the temp get above 70. Provide a barbell overhead press setup. If I lived nearby, I would still go here. Best gym in MetroWest. Miss you guys!

I have been a member of Club Elevate for about 3 years. Some of the top reasons that I love working out here is that it’s never too crowded and there is lots of space everywhere!! The ceiling heights are huge and there are so many areas to workout! I have worked out at several other gyms (even in Los Angeles) and I only get this “good feeling” at Club Elevate!! @clubelevate @andrienzanier

As a working mother of two under two, Burn Bootcamp has been a breath of fresh air to a hectic schedule. To be able to drop my kiddos off in the child care and then get a great work out in simultaneously has been amazing. The staff is so helpful when I need modifications as I navigate getting back into training post baby. The workouts are challenging but you’re having fun while you do it and before you know it class is over! The staff is funny/engaging and all the members are so nice! I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I was a part of the burn family already in Sarasota-FL and when I moved to MA I knew I had to find one to continue my journey and I found here at MetroWest. I drive 30min just one way everyday to do my daily workout there because it is just worth it!! All the trainers are amazing and so supportive they push you to do more than you think you can. The lovely ladies that stay in child watch with my kiddos are amazing and so caring and my children love staying there. I’ve lost over 25lbs in almost a year working out with Burn, not to mention that I have gained strength and overcome so many exercises that before were impossible. If you’re looking for a supportive place to start your fitness journey here is the place.

Paying $179 a month for unlimited but they had the nerve to charge $15 fee if you don't show to a class you already paid for? Will not allow my child to go in the future once the 30 day notice to cancel is over. Basically stuck paying an extra month.

This studio is changing my mindset and body in important ways. Despite remaining very active, I knew I also needed a yoga practice for mental and physical wellbeing - especially for flexibility and balance. Hot yoga and the weekend warrior/crossfit mentality were too much for me. This is a studio for folks who want a gentler approach to maintaining their mobility and enhancing awareness of movement in their daily lives. I am very grateful for Common Ground.

If you’re considering yoga, I highly recommend going to Common Ground Yoga. There are many things to love about it! The studio is airy and beautiful with plenty of space to move freely. The teachers are top notch - all of them! For me, it’s worth driving 30 minutes to get there. Yoga with weights is my new favorite class and I’ve begun to feel the benefits of it. The class schedule is very varied. Being true to yourself is always mentioned with options offered for all levels. Erica, the owner is awesome! She finds ways to make things extra fun, for example, I’m currently involved in the Summer Challenge. Her classes are so good! She is zen and serious when needed and laugh out loud funny at other times. She truly makes yoga fun!

My son joined Alpine Gym about 2 months ago and participates in their youth fitness class. His goal was to enhance his speed and agility in relation to his soccer performance. He has worked with coach Zach each week and as a true beginner in anything gym related, my son was welcomed by him with patience and thorough instruction. In fact, coach Zach embodies positivity and truly fosters a supportive atmosphere. The gym overall is a warm space, with well maintained equipment and booking classes is easily done through an app. The owner is easy to reach and involved with parents- you can tell he’s committed to fitness and aligning with the goals of the gyms members!

My partner and I started going to this gym about 7 weeks ago and the transformation has been nothing short of amazing! I started with sore knees and the coaches are slowly helping me to build muscle mass around my knees so I can lift more and live life without knee pain - it's working and I'm seeing improvements with every session. I'm eating healthier and feeling increased confidence as I trade body fat for increased muscle mass. My headspace is better than it's been in the past 2 years as result of the work I'm putting in at the gym and I feel incredible support by the coaches to continue pushing myself in the gym even with a knee injury to work around. This gym is my new found community and I'm so happy to have found it. I've never smiled more while working out than I have here! Seriously, it's that good. Thank you coach Peter, Tiff and Zach for the continued support in helping me reach my fitness goals! I'm so excited to see my progress 6 months from now!

This place is truly awesome! I come train with Coach Peter every single week and its lifted my physical health, mental health, and emotional and spiritual health. These coaches are unlike others in the sense where they promote much more than just the exercise itself. They tell me whats going on with the body, down to the specific muscles and engrain that everything is connected from the hip to the knee to the ankles. They truly love their job and I can see that through the dedication to go to workshops out of town and come in and use those techniques to further help their clients on a daily basis. So hardworking! I love the knowledge they have on the exercises they are teaching, I'm never doing a workout without knowing how its helping me. It's truly been a life changing experience, I am able to build such a great relationship with the coaches and its been such a source of happiness for me! Definitely check out Impact Metrowest!!

Really happy with Anytime Fitness in Framingham. Convenient - it's open 24 hrs. Clean - the staff keeps the place clean and members wipe down equipment. Comfortable - big enough to do everything you want, small enough to not get distracted. Efficient - rarely do I have to wait for a machine or treadmill. Bonus - it's next to the supermarket in case you need a post-workout snack. Kelsey the manager is great, go talk to her if you're interested in joining.

My wife and I switched over from another Anytime Fitness gym earlier this year. The manager and her trainer left so Kelsey took over and she is a wonderful person. She is very caring also very enthusiastic and she’s also very respectful to all her members. My wife and I have grown to love Kelsey as a veteran. she knows that I deal with PTSD most people don’t get it, but Kelsey does whoever picked her as a manager for this location did a great job by hiring Kelsey because there’s nothing that Kelsey won’t do for you either. it might be a small gym to exercise at but Kelsey has a lot of love for people, including she’s very much an encourager so I highly recommend Jim to anyone that wants to be a part of it because I start just a place to exercise it’s a family. She’s a great young lady.

I've been lifting 25 years and have never experienced a place like this. The owner's passion is reflected in every aspect of this gym! Machines to hit every muscle at every angle with new equipment frequently added, four separate free weight areas, new chome XMaster weights/plates, and there's some cardio equipment if that's your thing. The atmosphere is vibrant, with paintings, led lights, great sound system, and everyone so far is friendly and supportive. The owner, Alan, is there pretty much every day and takes the time to personally ensure client satisfaction. There's no tanning or massage, but I can just use my girlfriend's PF membership for that. This place for me and many others is home away from home.
