This is one of the very few full blown gyms in the area - I guess the only other one is YMCA. Even though it’s newer than the Y, it is still old. The equipment itself is OK, but that sofa at the entrance what the heck is with that? (See photo) Imagine a prospective member comes in to perhaps sign up for a membership and is ask to sit there!!! It is peeling and unpresentable! Locker room and the pool/hit tub areas are other examples of lacking proper maintenance. Moldy tiles and rusted ADA accessible chairs. What is nice though is the variety of activities you can do with your membership: cardio and weights of course, but then add sauna, swimming pool, hot tub, racket ball courts, basketball/volleyball court, group classes, spin room, and child care room. That is a lot! Membership promo as of today is $20/mo plus $59 annual fee. So that’s $25/mo after the initiation fee of $99. Not bad assuming you stay as member for a few years, or it’d be like $33/mo. But I think this reflects the fact that the gym is getting old.

This gym's awesome. It has everything and isn't too expensive for what it offers. But, you might wait a bit for some machines.

I don't really know where to begin. I'll just start by saying: I love LA Fitness, it has become my home away from home. All of the staff are amazing, friendly, kind and supportive. One particular staff member that I had the pleasure of working with, was Justin Edward's. Justin is very kind, friendly, and attentive to my needs and concerns relating to my physical fitness and physical discomforts that I brought to his attention during the Complementary Assessment. I've had experience with other Fitness Centers doing assessments with me, for my physical fitness, which was supposed to be tailored to my physical concerns and limitations, but, this time it was different, because I came away confident and hopeful, which was rare. Maybe they didn't take me seriously, but, I felt Justin took me seriously and he really wanted to help me achieve my goals relating to my overall health. I feel I can accomplish the goals that I've set for myself; to age with dignity and grace. Justin's process showed my various exercises that will not only eliminate some of the pain that I had been experiencing, but, also ways that I can use the exercise equipment to support, strengthen, and protect me from injury as I do my daily task at home, which is important for many who choose to age at home and stay active for as long as they can. I left the session feeling inspired, encouraged, motivated and with a plan and visuals in hand. Oh, and I just love the hot tub, for relaxing, stress relief and pain management...LA Fitness is a very healing and healthy atmosphere, the people that I've met at LA Fitness are kind and friendly, too. It has been my favorite place to practice Self-care. The staff don't mind answering questions, either. Thank you LA Fitness, staff and thank you Justin, too.

LA Fitness is hands down the best gym I've been to! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and motivating. The staff is incredibly supportive and helpful... Justin and AR are always willing to help, whether its answering questions about equipment or offering fitness advice. They have really inspired me and made me comfortable in my own skin. Plus, they take the time to educate you about proper form, nutrition tips and recovery methods. I had my complimentary training session with Justin and I learned so much from him He took the time to actually understand my goals and the limitations I had... What sets this gym apart is the community vibe- its comforting to be around people who are just as committed to their fitness journey. The group classes are energetic and professional making the sessions both fun and challenging. If you are looking for a serious gym where you'll feel supported and actually look forward to working out, this is the place to be.

What happened to this place? The floors were dusty, the bathroom filthy, the weight section full of grime and the weight benches were falling apart. Clearly they have stopped caring about their infrastructure or investing in new equipment. I saw only one station with antibacterial wipes. Definitely not a culture of cleanliness or caring about their customers.

The facilities themselves are OK, but the YMCA seems more concerned these days extracting more and more money from its membership base than providing value for the money. The biggest example: there are two tiers for the locker room: basic and the paid upgrade ($15 extra). I get that gym locker rooms are gross as a rule, but the basic locker room is usually pretty nasty. There’s usually trash left behind by one of the kids swim teams. The kids also love to just leave the showers running as well wasting water. Maybe you’re cool with that, but I’m not. Perhaps the point of keeping the locker room deliberately dirty is to make you purchase the upgrade? Check out the photos and judge for yourself.

One of the best pools for the YMCA in the area hands down. Very great for the children and everything is spread out well for everyone connivence. I always enjoy Coming for my workouts and never felt crowded. Amazing gym to play basketball or just run/walk the track that’s on the second floor of the gym

We joined the Y so my autistic son has some activities to do during the winter months. I love the water park, it's perfect for all of my kids (ages 12, 10, 3 and 2 months).

Planet fitness is an amazing place for those looking to exercise, they have a wide variety of equipment and you don't have to worry because others are using them. The facilities are very large, cleaning and it has a lot to offer. The staff is very friendly and helps you with doubts. 100% recommended.

Best gym in the Harrisburg area and that’s coming from Miami gym’s perspective. Has large turf area for strength training in addition to a separate room I used to warm up before every lift. Large room for stretching and posing with lots of mirrors.

I’ve been going to this gym for about 2-3 months and the variety of equipment is amazing, the gym itself has really good lighting especially in the locker room. The sauna gets me through my next days and helps me diminish any soreness. This gym is open 24/7 and works great for me because i work night shift and am pretty busy during the day so i really only have time to go after work. Really good gym for the price would highly recommend to anyone either wanting to get into fitness or for someone who has been working out and wants a better and more reliable fitness space.

I tried out the 28 day challenge special and immediately signed up for another 12 weeks. I have not exercised or stepped foot in a gym in over 20 years. Other than some walking. The first week of training was tough. I did a M-W-F. By the next week I only took Wednesday off. Week three I was up to five days a week and could feel and start to see result. The training goes by so fast. Just 45 minutes! Doug is very helpful in making sure you’re doing the exercises correctly and modifying as needed. The small group classes are filled with other folks who are also very helpful and motivating. In just over 6 weeks I have seen a major shift in muscle mass and body composition change. My cloths fit better, I have more energy throughout the day, my joints don’t hurt like they used to for no reason. Don’t get me wrong. Some days I’m sore from a work out. But it’s a good sore. I have even started riding my bike longer distances with ease. Doug’s trainings along with changing my eating habits have made HUGE difference in the way I feel and look. I definitely recommend this style training if you’re not into a typical gym. I am 49yo and feel better than I have in years thanks to Doug and Blitz45. I’m looking forward to losing more weight and gaining more muscle in the coming weeks.

I've been working out here for 2 months now and absolutely love it! Doug is extremely helpful in motivating me to do more, while offering alternative exercise forms when I'm not quite ready for what is being performed. I've seen progress in myself, (down 3.5% body fat!) and look forward to going with each class. Everyone in the classes helps motivate me to push on and it is a lot of fun when the class works together. I told Doug a few weeks ago, "I'm addicted"! So thankful to have found Blitz45!

I joined a couple of weeks ago and so far it is great! Doug (and members) are kind and encouraging. I don't feel awkward and lost there like I have at other gyms. It really kicks my butt! Exactly what I need though. Music is good. Routine switches up. Definitely looking forward to seeing some results with my fitness goals.

I signed up about 7 weeks ago and have noticed a big improvement in my strength and flexibility. I am in my early 60's with some mobility issues in my knees. Doug has been great at suggesting modifications, and as I've gotten stronger I've been able to rely on those less often. I'm taking a long trip overseas in January 2024 and wanted to get more fit beforehand. I am pleased with my results so far, and am continuing through the summer.

The owners are present and the coaches are caring and attentive. My daughters love it and the encouragement from the coaching staff and focus for every child is clear. It is a great environment were I find everyone being supportive and being positive regardless of skill set. I enjoy seeing my daughters being active and learning new skills and gaining confidence. But also enjoy seeing that in general with all the kids. It is awesome to see them all work hard and accomplish a new skill.

We had a birthday party here for my 8 year old son here and cannot say enough good things. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating - ensuring all of the kids had a great time. The facility provided plenty of space and the parents were able to watch the kids through the large windows in the party room or join them on the ninja room. I highly recommend USA Ninja Challenge for your kid’s next birthday party!

We hosted our daughter’s 7th birthday party at USA Ninja Challenge Camp Hill and it was fantastic! Owners Justin and ChiChen have done an incredible job with the space, and Coach Brian was awesome at teaching and supporting the girls on the various elements. The kids had a blast and loved challenging themselves on the rings, ropes, and Warped Wall. We are excited to try the classes and camps! Highly recommend for your next party. Thanks Justin and ChiChen!

I heard a lot of good things about this organization before it changed hands. So we decided to let are son try out for their 16u traveling team this past summer 2017. Regardless of making the team or not. We were told someone would contact us via email. Now I'm not writing this to say my son should have made the team but when you charge money just for trying out and tell kids your gonna send their testing scores and pop times. If you weren't gonna send a response to the tryouts or even make it a fair try out then don't hold one to make 20 dollars a head. If I had to guess the team was already selected before tryouts. Hopefully this issue doesn't happen to any other kid, it doesn't feel good to be forgot about! !

Just finished my 300th class at Thrive! I couldn’t have been consistent for this long without the amazing coaches who are always there to encourage me and push me when I need it. I participate in both whole group and small group classes and would recommend either to anyone looking to meet their health and fitness goals. Ash has built such an amazing community of people who are always there to cheer you on inside and outside of the gym. Very thankful to have found my gym people here!!

I’ve had such a great experience with Thrive Fit Co! I’ve learned so much about weight training and proper form. The trainers are really knowledgeable and always take the time to show you how to do things right, which has made a huge difference for me. The best part is how friendly and welcoming the staff are—they really make you feel at home. Every time I walk in, I know I’m going to get a solid workout and leave feeling better than I arrived. This place is definitely worth checking out!

5 stars is actually an understatement and full disclosure, I am a tough grader - this place gets a 10, on every level. Listening and learning the individual needs/goals of the client and meeting those needs. Sessions are ever changing, which keeps the workouts fresh and ignites the motivation each and every time yet at the very same time, there is a thread of familiarity that leaves the client feeling empowered and recognizing their progress. Tailoring workouts has been KEY for me as my body behaves inconsistently yet at a moment's notice, Ash has come up with a workout that works to my benefit! Awesome setting - great tunes, positivity and only good vibes! An investment that reaps best return ever- improved health! JF
