The management appears to be lying about the needed repairs in the pool and hot tub area. They've been closing them down at their locations one at a time.Good chance that I won't renew this spring

Either the pool and/or hot tub is consistently non-functional. Locker rooms and shower areas are consistently in need of ongoing attention even when staff are notified. At least one (and often two) urinals are down for maintenance. Response from on-site management/staff is unexceptional. NEW UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 19, 2024 Hot tub has been down most of 2024 and now staff are saying it may be repaired sometime after January 2025??? We'll see....? Swimming pool area has peeling paint from the ceiling, water damage from roof? Mens bathroom is dirty, one urinal has been non-functional for about a month or longer. Paper towels are often empty. Showers are cold. Waiting for word this facility will close??? Probably close down the pool, just like several other LA Fitness pools in the area. Sad, as this facility used to be maintained much better...Guess the owner(s) are more concerned with profit over providing a welcoming environment.

I truly cannot understand only having 2-3 adjustable free weight benches for a gym of this size and attendance. I can sort of make excuses for the Robinson location, as it's half the size - but why not switch out all 6-7 benches to adjustable benches? Almost never see people using the 2 upright stationary utility benches (what couldn't be accomplished if these were fully adjustable?), and I have never walked into either location where there is an available adjustable bench. It's incredibly frustrating to do free weight routines, and have to just stand around waiting for 30 minutes before you can even start your workout. If I have to wait a half hour every time, i might as well just make the drive to UFC downtown, heck even Crunch's have more sensible equipment - other than that, I will at least give credit to the cleaning crews. I've seen many reviews comment on the lack of cleaning at this location, but I saw no less than 5 crew members cleaning at all times of my workouts, both on the gym floor and locker rooms. And way less equipment that is obviously old, compared to the Robinson location. Lockers themselves are in kind of sad shape though. Many having whole chunks taken out of the sides and bases. Local LA fitness locations seem to suffer from an identity crisis, where they can't decide if they are planet fitness w/ a sauna, a serious weight lifters gym, or a member's club. They would do well to pick one and run with it - one ex, either replace the lockers with metal cage style lockers or actually repair the elevated wooden ones to match their original aesthetic. I've said a million times, and seen many reviews in agreement - people in Pittsburgh will pay 10$-$20 more a month for a gym, if the increased dues would result in better/increased staffing/consulting/renos - it's just that there aren't any options. I feel LA fitness as a brand fails, when it comfortably relies on lack of local gym options, as their selling point.

Their locker room for women has a sign of “men working in locker room” not closed off, but open with young women and women using the locker rooms and these morons have the audacity to leave it open while our vulnerable population is in there. Do better. Close it off nd have the construction crew come a different time but close it off. This is ridiculous and absolutely disgusting

Out of all the gyms I have been to, this one is my favorite. It is big and clean and has a great assortment of machines as well as free weights. the staff is very friendly also.

It’s adequate for the price. But the staff do not put sign on the machines that are inoperable. There are only two toilets in the men’s room, and the crowd meter on the app is always lower than reality

Probably one of the best experiences that I have had at any PF as a Black Card holder. There was a maintenance employee making adjustments to equipment, the entire place was clean and dust free, the water station had clean water that did not taste unfiltered. Nice place to exercise.

There is one gym goer that smells so horrendous it will literally make you nauseous and just want to leave. I approached staff about this incident and was informed they cant do nothing about it. So one persons unkept hygiene ruins everyone else’s experience. He is there around 330-4 every day.

Everyone is always so friendly and helpful !!! I always go to the bridgeville location because they're by far the nicest and I've been to another one won't mention the location but staff definitely not as friendly as this one and bridgeville staff are always cleaning or working where the other place they just kind of stand around and make u feel like your inconveniencing them!! There is one lady that works there ( bridgeville)I wish I knew her name she has shoulder length blonde hair she always so nice and accommodating and is always cleaning!!! Just all around nice place

STRIDE has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I joined many months before the studio opened after passing a sign, Googling, and chatting with Bre. I was interested in running and was up for a new fitness challenge. I love that the classes are for everyone, all fitness levels, runners and walkers, those that are healing from injuries, anyone! Wherever you are on your journey, the coaches are there to support, encourage, and push you forward with lots of positivity. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and fun! 💕💕💕

Coach Gemma has been such a positive role model for my 2 teenage daughters, 15 & 18. She has given them the tools and confidence to take control of their health and bodies. They look forward to their session with Gemma each week, and love the camaraderie they have built with the other young girls in their group.

Push 40 is everything you need from a workout. The owner, Dan, has cultivated an inclusive and welcoming environment that is based on motivation, accountability and a results driven approach. And he's an amazing and kind person that wants to see his clients succeed and feel good on their fitness journeys. I've been going to Push 40 for many years, and their semi-private strength sessions are a focal point of my fitness routine. I actually look forward to my session each week! And the best motivation for me is when other people ask what I've been doing to workout because they are noticing results. This place is for you regardless if you are just starting out or have a long relationship with fitness.

There is truly a sense of community when you walk through the doors of Push 40. The coaches offer a tremendous amount of motivation and encouragement and the positivity among members is something I haven’t experienced at other gyms. Working out here essentially feels like having a personal trainer and a group of friends who all motivate each other to meet and exceed their personal goals.

I booked a Movement Evaluation with Tyler for hip pain that I’ve been experiencing for years. He was very thorough and informative and helped me understand what was causing the pain. I’ve been implementing the mobility exercises he recommended for the past couple of weeks and they have been extremely helpful! I’ve also had a great experience training with Liam. He is very patient and encouraging and planned some amazing workouts to help me hit my personal fitness goals! I also love their Muay Thai classes! The coaches are all extremely friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. Love this space, everyone is just extremely welcoming and helpful! Can’t recommend this place enough!

I can't say enough good things about Gage and Totem Training & Performance! As a life-long competitive swimmer, my training has always focused heavily on in-pool work and cardio, but adding strength training under his guidance has been a total game-changer. Gage took the time to understand my specific goals and worked to create a strength program tailored to improving my performance in the pool. He emphasizes explosive power and endurance, targeting muscles crucial for starts, turns, and stroke efficiency. Not only did my strength improve, but I noticed a direct impact on my swimming times, setting Masters PR’s after just a few months. Gage takes the time to explain proper lifting techniques to avoid injury and complements my weightlifting with recovery and mobility exercises. Gage and the guys at Totem bring a level of expertise and enthusiasm that is unmatched!

I have been working with Tyler on my recovery from a second ACL reconstruction, and it has been a great experience. He understands my goals as a Muay Thai athlete, and that makes all the difference. He is working to make sure I come out of this surgery stronger and more mobile than before. He is not just focusing on my injury and recovery, but looks at me as a whole person and athlete. The difference in my recovery from my first surgery to my second is night and day, and Tyler and totem are definitely a reason for the improvement.

I’ve worked with Tyler since January to build strength and mobility. His workout plans have a solid mix of variety and consistency, so I’m never bored. I feel and look stronger and fitter now in my mid-30s than when I was in my early 20s! One thing I really appreciate is Tyler’s responsiveness to any adjustments I’ve needed due to injuries or equipment limitations. I’m also a member of Totem Muay Thai, and I’ve become a lot stronger in the clinch and have better hip mobility thanks to working with Tyler.

My Totem experience has been great! I’ve had a long journey with a back injury, surgery, and recovery, and I’ve lucky to have worked with both Tyler and Gage. I’m new to working out and am really inexperienced in a gym. Gage made me a custom program, and I’m making good progress! My pain is way down, I’m getting stronger, and I’m regaining mobility. Gage is awesome—really nice and easy to talk with, and he explains why we’re working on each thing and how it will help me reach my goals. I absolutely recommend training with Totem no matter your experience level!

Although I don't leave reviews often, I felt inclined to leave one about this gym in hopes that it can inspire change in others lives as much as it did mine! About a year ago I moved to Pittsburgh and while searching the area for places to better my health, I found Fitness Fanatics! I have tried many different gyms in the past and I can truly say that I have never felt more at home than at this one. Natalie, who is head of Management is very personable and does an amazing job at maintaining a clean and organized environment. The gym has everything you need to get a great workout in. Finding an environment you feel comfortable in makes the action of exercising so much easier. Since being a member, I have been more consistent with my workouts and feeling happier and healthier than ever. If you are looking for a solid gym with great people, a variety of equipment, and a comfortable atmosphere I would highly recommend giving Fitness Fanatics a try!

This gym strikes the perfect balance between a welcoming, home-like atmosphere and the professionalism of a commercial facility. The workouts I had here were incredible, and they have everything you could possibly need for any fitness routine. The space is expansive, clean, and well-organized, making it easy to feel comfortable while working out. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend checking it out—you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve actually been holding off for quite awhile posting but after seeing others review I have to comment. My three year old son tried to take class there but was not “calm enough” or “jumped around too much” please don’t offer classes for three year olds if you’re not prepared to deal with three year old behaviors. I would never recommend class for preschool kids here maybe older but not preschool. You are better going somewhere else we had much better luck other places and now he a thriving talented 5 year old

Bridgeville Martial Arts is probably the best program/sport/activity we've done with our six-year-old son. The staff and ownership are outstanding. The instructors know how to have fun and laugh with the students, while also insisting that the kids are using good judgement, paying attention, and showing respect. The facility is clean and organized, and the class schedule is so flexible. We couldn't be happier to have found BMA.

Our son and daughter have both enjoyed their experiences at PMA. The staff are supportive, caring, and knowledgeable. They create a wonderful atmosphere in which to learn and grow. Our daughter loves learning here, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. She normally is a reserved child, but she thrives in these classes. There is pure excitement in her eyes when we tell her she has class tonight. The family friendly, non-competitive atmosphere is our (parents) favorite part. They also have an anti-bullying class called ARMOR, that teaches children to identify, and appropriately deal with bullying. Sadly, in schools today, bullying is worse than ever, so these classes are invaluable.

My son has been coming to REL for 8 months now and it has been amazing watching him develop as a player. James, Tiger, and Reese give these kids the personal attention a regular setting can’t provide and the results speak for themselves. My son looks forward to his time at REL everyday and he’s gotten faster and stronger and more skilled. I highly recommend REL Academy to any kid who loves basketball and is willing to put in the work!

My son started working with James at REL only a few months ago. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in skills; but more so, I’ve noticed a growth in self-confidence, dedication, and in the knowledge of the intricacies of the sport of basketball. The seriousness and attention to the details of a “perfect” shot, ball handling, play with and away from the ball, defensive nuances, and the intellect of the game are always being addressed. ALL the coaches are wonderful role models for my son. He loves the gym, the sport, and the challenge of the game...all thanks to James, Tiger, and Reese.
