Moxy has changed my life. I had no background in aerial/pole/dance/gymnastics of any sorts and the instructors and class members are so welcoming and encouraging. Moxy has given me confidence and a newfound passion.

I've trained in studios across the US and have never encountered a studio more welcoming, more professional, and more inclusive than this one. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous, brightly lit with vaulted ceilings and ample space between apparatuses. The teachers are extremely friendly, approachable and engaging. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to classes as both performers and instructors. All of the teachers I've worked with are certified, which makes me feel extra safe. They give plenty of mods so if you're a beginner or more advanced, you feel appropriately challenged. The space is always impeccably clean when I arrive, which I appreciate especially for floor moves. There's a supportive and welcoming vibe – not the competitive and cliquey vibe you might find elsewhere. Truly, this place is nothing short of a sanctuary that has revitalized my passion for aerial after having some less than stellar experiences at other studios. Everyone goes above and beyond. The energy is so positive and elevated that it's infectious! I see myself training here for years to come.

Words can't begin to describe the magic that's to be found at The Moxy Movement! I've always wanted to try pole, but I was soooo nervous to get my feet in the door somewhere. After finding Moxy and mustering enough courage to finally try out a class, I was absolutely hooked! The classes can be hard work, but effort, consistency, and patience certainly pay off. The space is incredible with amazing and knowledgeable instructors - they inspire creativity and foster acceptance, love, growth, individuality, confidence, and strength. Besides classes and parties, Moxy also offers open studio times, a variety of specialized workshops, and monthly opportunities for performance practice. This is such a great place to grow and work on overall mental & physical health in a community with some seriously incredible, talented, and all-around beautiful people.

I’m absolutely living for the studio’s flexibility classes with Ashley. I had the deepest shoulder stretch of my life last Friday with Ashley at Pole Active Flexibility. I unfortunately locked myself out of my house on the way home from that class. I was, however, able to use my newfound shoulder flexibility to squeeze BOTH OF MY SHOULDERS through the tiny dog door to unlock my back door. Seriously, look how tiny it is in the attached picture. Barely bigger than my hand. Thanks for the amazing flex classes that helped me break into my own house in a pinch! 😂 I’ve made so much flexibility progress in other areas as well, including achieving a front and pancake split. And, although I am a very fresh beginner at silks the flexibility has carried over beautifully, and pictured is the result of my third silks class with Ashley.

The place is hard to find specially if you don’t know it is held inside a big building, in 2 separate rooms and floors. They don’t have a front desk or person to guide you so it can get tricky. I was hoping to attend an OPEN AERIAL, but didn't realized that depending on the room number it is either aerial or pole (I think it would be friendlier to first time users if they were named "OPEN POLE" and "OPEN AERIAL") since this was my first time here, I needed some assistance, (finding the room, opening it, etc) the lady that helped me wasn't really welcoming or anything, I told her I don't do pole and she told me she couldn't do anything about it (which I understand since I've been an aerial coach myself for the last 10+years in different countries and in the US) but her attitude wasn't welcoming or empathetic. I called on the phone and a lady named Alicia, answered me and offered me to change my day of training as a solution, I couldn't since I was traveling out of Utah the next day, I ended up taking a beginner hammock class. I also received a text from another lady named Angela trying to help me out, which was really nice. I would just point out the importance of having friendly staff specially when there is no front desk to help out folks that are attending that space for the first time. As a professional circus artist I'm always excited to go to new places, check out their spaces and build new connections. Unfortunately I didn't feel welcomed in this space, maybe it is targeted to a more beginner audience. Nonetheless, the class was holding a good technical level for beginner people.
