LA Fitness

LA Fitness of San Antonio on Potranco Village is a decent gym. It features your usual LA Fitness selection of equipment, though some of it may be outdated. The bench presses are however lopsided, which drastically decreased our efficiency. They also need to add way more of them. However, the lockers and bathrooms were clean and modern, which I haven’t seen before in LA Fitness. Overall, this is a decent LA Fitness, it’s not too bad but it’s not the best.

So I’ve been going here for over a year and I have seen a steady decline. The cleanliness, staff, equipment. All of it has been horrible and just not worth your money. If you want your kids to come here DONT DO IT. Although the young ladies working the “day care” are polite, the hours are from 08-1200. Horrible times for people who work. The equipment (treadmills, smith machines, ab machines, leg extensions etc) are always broken or have pads that need replaced. The men’s sauna has siding that is cracked or broken and the roof of the sauna has a plank that is just hanging for dear life. I encourage you all to find another gym. My wife, myself and my brother have all canceled our memberships and we won’t be returning or speaking highly of this establishment.

Not the greatest diversity of equipment, but it’s functional. I always appreciate an indoor basketball court. Would enjoy some updated equipment, but I feel this is a result of the area of town it’s in. All in all good place to get a good pump 💪🏿

Sam / Hussad which the front desk representative has 2 names because he lied about his. Is the only reason this gym has 1 Star. He was very rude and disrespectful to my family and I. He stopped us from going in. Our account was up to date on payments like always. I asked him why he stopped us. He started raising his voice to me only. Not my husband. He lied about his name. He stated " he is pissed off now and calling the police. " He also stated that his manager Chris doesn't care if I report him. He would only talk to my husband because it's a man conversation. What triggered him is the word " ridiculous " horrible person he is to disrespect me in front of my family. I hope Chris takes care of this.

Horrible location, from the operational manager down. One of the staff members gave out my personal information to another guest. Definitely would stay away! I see why LA fitness is starting to struggle in San Antonio. Gold's, fitness connection, crunch, hell even planet Fitness is better. If you wanna go to a gym where you're treated with respect and there are good people; definitely don't go here. It's disgusting how some of the staff is at this gym, if you value customer service this gym isn't it! They're always rude to their guests, not helpful, and will lie to your face with a smile. So again stay away from this gym, there are better places to work out and have a great experience, as LA Fitness is not one of them. We must put a stop to fitness centers like this! And the way to do that is by sharing this with everyone you know.
