Gold's Gym

I recently signed up for a membership at Gold’s Gym after seeing a promotion stating "No contract, month-to-month payments." The gym itself was nice, but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for, so I decided to sign up for another gym that better suited my needs. When I went to cancel my membership, I was given an email address to request cancellation along with my membership number. I followed the process as instructed and was told I would receive confirmation within 5-7 days. However, the following month, I noticed I was charged again. I called the corporate number listed on my bank statement, only to be told that I was actually on a one-year contract and that there was nothing I could do. This was completely unexpected, as the promotion specifically stated "No contract." I feel that Gold’s Gym is misleading customers with unclear membership terms and should be more upfront about their policies. If you’re considering signing up, be sure to read all the fine print and ask specific questions about cancellations. I wouldn’t recommend this gym based on my experience, as I feel like they are not transparent with their services and expectations.

It is always so hot in this gym. When you ask to decrease the temperature, they just turn on the fan but sometimes that just pushes more hot air down. Also they put all the cardio equipment upstairs and hot air rises...I do like this gym because there's some good machines but I'm probably changing to planet mostly because the prices is better and it is 10 degrees cooler. I can have a better and longer workout when it is cooler. Multiple people have complained about this. I'm not sure why they can't decrease the AC :/

Best gym in the valley - love the front desk staff Nick, Megan and Jesus always give the best service and the best shakes 10/10 Sauna is nice hot and clean Pool is nice and warm on these cold days now that the heater is fully working If a machine breaks, it gets fixed quickly Got all machines you need to get a good workout Try the Blueberry peanut butter shake! That’s my favorite 😋😋😋

Joseph at the front desk helped my boy Danny @barnburner327 recover his keys that accidentally fell into the step master machine. Bro didn’t hesitate and immediately jumped into action. I appreciate the work you all put into this gym and the friendly environment you’ve created here in Edinburg.

Had an issue with my account, the Manager and employee were awesome to help me fix it. Great people and a great gym
